Second Floor Corridor

So many a door and so many a chore are found on this, the second floor.

For Lottie! <33

Nancy was wandering the castle...no, she was doing her Prefect rounds, at least that was what she was telling herself. Actually - and somehow she couldn't quite help herself thinking of it - she was on her way up to the Fourth Floor Corridor, just to...look at it once again. For well obvious reasons. Cough!

HOWEVER, as always the 17 year old had got lost on the way up there. And yes, it was her seventh year here already but she was still getting lost. This time unfortunately there wasn't even anybody around she could ask. Err... With a sigh Nancy peeked around the next corner in hopes of recognizing anything...well, the wall looked the same on all floors. Crap!

Lottiepot 05-08-2010 07:59 PM

Trixie decided that it would be a good idea for her to go and explore the castle for a bit. She had met many new and exciting people whilst also getting a little annoyed by the stupid Slytherins who lost them house points and almost lost them Hogsmeade privialges. She had finally reached the second floor corridor but the whole corridor looked the same. There were no distinguishing features to show them where they were but luckily Trixie had taken note.

Upon turning the corner, Trixie spotted an older girl stood around. She approached her, the closer she got the more she saw the shiny badge that was pinned on her unifrom. "Hello" Trixie announced herself.

Lislchen 05-08-2010 08:53 PM

...or maybe she could just make a little sign - a little '2' or something - onto one of the bricks on the wall, so she would recognize it. Though...would that count as vandalism or something? Erm... 'cause if it did then well she was obviously NOT going to do it. Obviously. Duh! She was a Prefect after all and supposed to set an example and all. Meh...

Nancy was standing there, staring straight at the wall probably looking a little crazy *cough* with her wand losely in her hand. Maybe nobody would noti- "Whoa!" The Prefect whirled around on her heels at the sound of a female voice, automatically hiding the wand behind her back. Noo, she had not just considered writing stuff on the wall, noo. "Hey there." She grinned at the other girl cheerfully...and a little innocently.

Lottiepot 05-08-2010 09:00 PM

Trixie raised an eyebrow as the girl spun around pretty shocked. She giggled a little. The prefect looked like she was deep in thought, maybe planning something. Well hey they were both Slytherins. They should be allowed to be cunning sometimes in their lives. "Hi. I'm Trixie Malfoy. I'm a Slytherin obviously" she said looking down at her uniform and out stretching her hand for a handshake. If this girl was her prefect then she should respect her, just like she had been taught in Beauxbatons.

Lislchen 05-09-2010 03:08 PM

Subconsciously twirling the wand between her fingers behind her back Nancy's innocent grin grew even broader as the other girl started to giggle. Had she noticed something?! "I was just...you know..." Err! Yes, what HAD she just been doing? "Never mind. Not that interesting." She gave a half-hearted laugh with which she hoped to close to topic of what she had been doing staring at the wall. Not that the girl had asked or anything...just in case.

"Oh, yeah. Nice to meet you, Trixie. I saw you around the err meeting. The one in the Dueling Arena." Sorta...hadn't she been standing with the chatty ones? A small frown crept across her face at the thought of that meeting which was immediately replaced by a small smile, though. "I'm Nancy. Nancy Hudonson. Slytherin Prefect this term." Well, obviously. "Soo...uhm..." Would it be safe to ask her which floor they were on?

Lottiepot 05-09-2010 03:19 PM

Trixie grinned and giggled even more as Nancy looked a little flustered over what she had asked. "You were just..?" she asked her pearly white grin growing even wider. "Don't worry about it. This place certainly does need brightening up a little" she said looking around at the corridors. "Beauxbatons was so much more exciting" she replied witha sigh remembering her old school.

Trixie nodded with an angry sigh. "Oh yes. That flipping meeting" she said getting alittle annoyed. "Why are there people in this school who just automatically think that they have to be evil?" she asked obviously not directing it to Nancy as she seemed like a really friendly person. "Sorry about my...err...friends" she replied. Yeah her friends. Her second cousin who was just full of bitterness and Patrick. Oh what could she say about Patrick? Cute would be one word to describe him. Unforgiving another. "It's very good to meet you Nancy" she grinned. "Oh it's 2nd floor" she replied as she saw the look on her face. Trixie was good at guessing what people were thinking.

Lislchen 05-09-2010 06:19 PM

Crap! A small and perhaps a little stupid grin flashed across her face as it seemed that the topic was in fact not closed. "Err..." Now, how to finish that sentence? "Looking at the wall?" And it was the truth actually...sort of. It probably made her look like a complete lunatic but whatever. This was her last year anyhow so there...yes.

"Brightening up?" Nancy blinked a few times at Trixie, a look of confusion plastered across her face. What was she talking about? "You think so?" She replied, raising her eyebrows in doubt. If she knew about last term, 'boring' would probably be the last word to come to her mind. "Why did you transfer then? If Beauxbatons was so much more exciting?" There was a hint of bitterness in her voice at this question, even though Nancy tried hard to conceal it.

Nancy had to concentrate hard to repress the urge to snort angrily at the thought of the reason for that meeting. "Yeah, let's just NOT talk about it!" Because it meant indirectly talking about how she had failed at her Prefect duty. Meh. Oh, and she HAD been standing with those two. "I...erm..." The first thought that came to her mind was to simply pretend she totally knew which floor they were on. In the end she didn't though. "Thanks."

Lottiepot 05-09-2010 06:32 PM

Trixie giggled. "Well if that's how you like to spend your time then I am just going o go along with it" she teased. "But there are times when do random things" she giggled. "But what is it like being a prefect? I've always wanted to be one myself but I haven't been here long enough sadly" she sighed.

"I was joking" she laughed. "I was just thinking that these halls should at least have on distingushing feature on them so that no one is able to get lost" she laughed. With all of those first years running around in a huge castle. Her smiled turned into a frown as she heard the bitterness in Nancy's tone. "Because my family thought it was a good idea" she replied with the same bitterness. "And because I wanted to" she added on truthfully.

Trixie nodded. "I've got to agree with you on that one" she laughed. What a pointless punishment. "No problem" Trixie smiled sweetly at her superior.

Lislchen 05-09-2010 07:10 PM

Okay, now she was the lunatic whose favorite pastime was to randomly stare at walls. Crap! "Yeah right." Nancy replied with a small slightly anxious chuckle. Something gave her the impression that Trixie did not believe her little story there. Oh well. "Random's just awesome, isn't it?" She mused before raising her eyebrows at her next question. Why was everybody asking her what Prefecting was like?!

"Oh, you know, just great. With all those lovely trouble makers and all. Just lovely." Nancy said sarcastically, rolling her eyes at Trixie. Yes, right now it was just amazing. Not. "Oh, you know, you still have a few years...which year are you in again?" She gave the other girl a genuine smile, though it faltered slightly at the thought of what it meant for HER. SHE didn't have any more year. Sniff.

At Trixie's suggestion her face lit up into a beam again, though. "OMG! Totally. That would be so awesome! So you know the first years won't get lost and everything." Yes, the first years and her. Cough! "Oh, 'kay...so, how's Beauxbatons like?" There, change of subject. Maybe she had been a little harsh to her...a little unnecessarily harsh. Besides she HAD told her which floor they were on. Hehe.

Lottiepot 05-09-2010 07:44 PM

Trixie grinned. "I was joking Nancy" she smiled genuinely. "Being random most certainly is a very good thing. It makes us all unique right? And even if we are SLytherins we can enjoy being erm...well randomness I guess" she giggled even more. Eh but when your mother is half Veela and your father a qudditch player your not allowed to be random.

"That might be so but all the power you have over them" she laughed slightly. "And it just looks good when you go off to apply for work doesn't it?" she asked. You were more likely to get a good job if you had experience of being in control of others. "I'm in fifth year. So I've only got 3 years left including this one. I'd still love the responsibility" she smiled softly.

"Exactly what I thought. I almost got lost myself, but I do kinda have an excuse. But the place is so big and the firstie's so small" she giggled. "Beauxbatons? It was fun. But a little tedious when most of your lessons were charms and transfiguration. You need some variety somewhere don't you?" she smiled.

Lislchen 05-10-2010 05:39 PM

Ooookay...they were seriously having a conversation about randomness, now?! Like, for real?! Shaking her head slightly in amusement at their conversation Nancy joined in the other girl's giggles. "What d'you mean, even if we are Slytherins...Slytherins are especially random." Err, yes. "Because, you know, we just agreed on 'random' being awesome, and Slytherin's awesome too, so there." Yes that totally made sense. Not.

Now she got to think of it...yes, being a Prefect WAS indeed rather awesome. Hehe. "Yeah, you're right...it feels totally awesome wearing that badge, you know." Nancy smirked down at said badge before grinning back towards Trixie. She was not trying to show off or anything, just re-stating what the other girl had said. "Aww...well, you still got almost 3 more years." Unlike her. Sniffle. "Who knows who'll be my successor." She gave the other girl a small genuine grin, trying hard not to think about next year. Because she wouldn't know who'd be the next female Prefect. She wouldn't know because she won't be around. Sniff.

"Yes, YOU do have an excuse." Unlike her. Cough. Unless simple lack of any sense of orientation counted. "I really think we should all get a map at the sorting or something." Though, it probably wouldn't exactly have helped in her case to be honest. Oh, Beauxbatons sounded a little...boring. No ARITHMANCY?! "Wait...you only had Transfiguration and Charms? No Arithmancy?" Nancy stared at the other girl for a moment in disbelief.

Lottiepot 05-10-2010 05:59 PM

Trixie looked confused for a little while Blonde Moment but caught on pretty quickly as she mentioned that Randomness was awesome and so was Slytherin. "Oh I see. Yes I have to agree that we are the most awesome house. For starters we are first in house points. I mean we started off on -50 and now just look at us" she giggled pretty proud that 3 of those house points were her own.

Trixie looked at said badge and bit her lip. It wasn't exactly the most, lets just say, stylish item here in Hogwarts, in fact there wasn't many stylish things about the uniform. She looked down at her shoes and frowned a little but she was quite glad Nancy hadn't noticed them. Unfortunately she hadn't been able to buy any Hogwarts shoes so she still had her old Beauxbatons ones which had a slight heel. But she could be forgiven right? She was new. She had sent an OWL to her mother just before asking her to send new shoes and it was only the first day anyway. "I do indeed. But it will be sad to see you go" she said with a little pout. From what she could gather, Nancy was amazing at what she did.

Trix laughed a little. "Sounds like a good idea. I think we should propose that to one of the teachers" she said having a little brainwave. "We had occasional classes in the other subject but primarily those two. I'm so bored of seeing my bat turning into a goblet by now" she sighed a little. Although she did love transfiguration. She shook her head. "No Arithmancy" she smiled weakly.

Lislchen 05-10-2010 08:44 PM

Oh, wow, it had indeed made sense. Or at least Trixie pretended it had. And she was a good actress. So Nancy'd rather go with the first possibility, more optimistic. So, Slytherin+random=awesome. Hehe. "Exactly. See, we're awesome!" Well, apart from starting off the term with -50 points but you know. Hopefully all would go well from now on...no more point loss and all.

Automatically following the other girl's gaze Nancy first looked down at her badge once again before glancing at Trixie's shoes. They were...different. They had a small heel, though, they somehow still looked like they belonged to somekind of uniform or something. Not that she was too informed about high heels or anything. "Nice shoes." Nancy commented because she felt the need to say something, as Trixie had probably glanced down for a reason.

"Yeah, I'll miss all of this so much." Nancy heaved a sigh, averting her eyes towards a nearby suits of armor. She would miss every little thing about Hogwarts...well, apart from the plant thingies in the greenhouses. She wouldn't miss those. No, not at all.

The 17 year old joined in a little half-heartedly in the other girl's laughing. "Yeah, we could ask Truebridge about it some time." Because he was their Head of House now, she still had to get used to that...no more Lupa. Oh, wow, Beauxbatons sounded more boring every second. Yaaawn! "Jeez, well, I'm sure you're glad to be at Hogwarts then...we have Arithmancy...and you know other awesome subjects as well." Hehe. Which reminded here..."Are you going to try out fot he Quidditch team, Trixie?" She was already so looking forward to the tryouts...Oliver would do awesome.

Lottiepot 05-10-2010 08:59 PM

Trixie smiled and said no more on the subject of awesomeness. Although she still thought taht they were the best house and no one could deny them that privilage. "The Lions are going down" she said with a small giggle and a wink. She didn't mind the lions. Well of course she didn't seeing as she had a tiny Huge crush on one of them. Oh and not forgetting Vanessa who she got along with so much better than she got on with Ella. Talking about Ella, Trixie wondered whether she had got into trouble yet. "Have you met Ella? Or Aiden?" she asked. It would be funny if her cousin had been caught but she had the feeling Ella would be on best behaviour.

Trixie looked down at her shoes. "You think? They were the new Beauxbatons ones I bought just before my parents told me I was going here instead" she sighed. "But they're not the nicest pair of shoes I own" Oh no. Trixie had plenty of designer heels but well they weren't exactly appropriate. "Would of thought I would have got in trouble because of them" she said with a light laugh.

"I'm sure you will" she smiled sympthetically. She most certainly would of if she had been attending this school the majority of her life. She would of if she stayed at Beauxbatons. "I'm guessing your of age now? Am I right?" she asked. She couldn't wait to be of age. Imagine what she could do with lemon. Oh dear maybe not with Lemon, she didn't want to end up dead.

Trixie laughed. "Yeah we should" she had met Truebridge already not including the meeting. She'd taken time out of her schedule to go see him in the office and introuduce herself whilst offering her services. Trixie laughed. "Not so sure about the Aritmancy. Never been my strong subject. But DADA will be amazing" se grinned. "But I miss the homely feeling and attitude of Beauxbatons" she sighed. "Most certainly will. Father plays for the Falmouth Falcons so hes taught me quiet a lot recently. Although Ella thinks I will be scared to break a nail" she laughed.

Lislchen 05-12-2010 08:01 AM

Okay, so this is before the Ella/Nancy meeting. xD

Nancy regarded Trixie approvingly for a moment as she heard her saying that the Gryffindors were going down this term. Hehe, yes, good Slytherin that one. With an amused smirk she replied, "Totally...though, it was Ravenclaw who won the House Cup last year." Grr! But you know, the Gryffindors going down couldn't hurt either. Hehe. Oh, so Trixie knew Aiden?! "Yes, I do know Aiden actually." Nancy had to chuckle lightly at the thought of their last encounter. Yeah, Aiden was...special. "Ella, though...hmm...is she new?" Somehow that name didn't ring a bell, but Nancy wasn't exactly good with names so that didn't mean she hadn't actually met her.

Her eyes still on the other girl's shoes Nancy listened to Trixie's short story about why she had got them. Not that she was toooo interested in that. Somehow she just wasn't a shoe-person. "Oh, that's nice." Err. Yes, well, she couldn't exactly reply with a small shoe-story of her own, now, could she? "Oh, no, I guess they are inconspicuous enough to not be noticed, so you should be fine." Okay, was inconspicuous maybe a bad word to describe shoes?

Siiiigh! Gosh, she would miss every little bit of this school sooo much!!! "Mhm...I'm already turning 18 this December." Nancy replied a little absentmindedly, her thoughts still circling around the castle and all the little details about it, she had mostly found when looking for the right way. "How old are you?" She asked, just because it seemed appropriate to reciprocate the question.

If Bontecue had still been Headmaster Nancy would have gone directly to him about their idea. He would probably have agreed right away...and asked for one of those maps for himself. Hehe. "Oh." She didn't like Arithmancy?! Cue slight narrowing of her eyes. "Yes, DADA is awesome!" Though she preferred to learn Defensive spells for now..for, well, obvious reasons. "Aren't there like loads of posh people there?" Then, realizing how that might have just sounded, she quickly added, "I mean...you know, in a good way." Err.

Wow, her father played for the Falmouth Falcons?! That was just so awesome. She wished her parents were as interested in Quidditch as she was. Meh. "Oh, wow, that's cool. I can't wait for the tryouts...I'm sure Oliver'll do just great." Then after a short pause in which she realized that Trixie probably wouldn't know who Oliver was she added, "He's the Captain this year." Obviously.

Lottiepot 05-12-2010 03:58 PM

Trixie nodded and thought about any encounters that she had with any Ravenclaws. "Really?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. One Raveclaw she had met was a little, eccentric. She somehow couldn't see them winning the house cup. But she could certainly see Slytherin this year. There seemed to be hundreds of them in the school. "Well we are just going to have to make sure that we are victorious this year. I'll certainly be trying hard for house points" she grinned at the prefect. "You have?" she said with a huge grin. Sigh, Aiden. "Oh Ella? She's my second cousin but I only found that out on the train. Yeah she just transfered from Beauxbatons like me" she smiled weakly. She and Ella didn't see eye to eye.

Trixie smiled. "Well that's good then. I was a little worried that they were too high. But honestly they aren't as high as some of my pairs" she giggled slightly. Trixie sighed as she remembered the hundreds of pairs she had left back in teh manor. Eh well they wouldn't be needed now would they?

Trixie smiled. She hadn't actually met many people significantly older than her. Apart from Aiden. Oh and Patrick of course. Huge smile!! "Wow" she said with emphasis. She wasn't sure whether she wished she was older yet. She liked her teenage years. Best years of your life apparently. "I'm 15 but I'm 16 pretty soon" she giggled slightly. She was an older student in the year but still not old enough to be put the year above just quite yet.

Trixie raised an eyebrow. She had probably offended Nancy slightly by saying she wasn't so good at Aritmancy. "It's not that I don't like it. It's just that I don't find things enjoyable if I'm not as good at it. You know what I mean?" she asked. She was ever so slightly offended by the Posh people comment. Did she seem posh? Well the Welsh accent usually put people off thinking that she was posh. "Not really. A lot of French and well people with money yes" she corrected her.

Trixie smield and nodded. "Yes I've heard a lot about him and we've passed on a few occassions but I've never actually spoken to him" she said sadly. Maybe Nancy could introduce them. She liked getting to know new people especially if they were Slytherins. "Yes I'm sure he'll be fantastic" she grinned. Maybe he was as good as his dad was.

Jay walked down the corridor, ...Sammy isn't here." he thought turning round a corner, "Avifors." he muttered pointing to a small wrapper someone left on the floor in front of her hoping to startle her a bit then walked up.

Sammy turned her head and saw Jay doing a spell, she quickly went over to him and said "hey, what spell was that?"

Add1cted 05-12-2010 09:37 PM

"Avifors," he replied. "it turns your targetted object into birds. It depends on your mood on how the birds are, like the 2 enourmous doves I conjured would probably think romance, while if I conjured up 3 enourmous ravens, well I wouldn't because they are dangerous. I won't use unless happy or angry." he explained demonstrating the spell. "Avis is useful too. but they come from your want, you can make them attack a target by a certain spell but I don't know it." he added.

Delilah walked through the corridors. She was bored and oh so tired. She thought about going upstairs to rest but she decided against it. I just need to keep walking and find someone to talk to. Then i can stay awake... she thought to herself.

Libriana walked into a girl. "Oh sorry."

"Mhm." A small frown flashed across Nancy's face as she thought back at the heated point-struggle at the end of last term. Not that THAT had been one of the most important problems in her life at that point. No, not really. Unfortunately not. Sigh. "Yes, we'll win the House Cup this term...totally...AND the Quidditch Cup of course." At this she smirked broadly at Trixie...they were just awesome like that. They were Slytherins after all. Hehe.

Now, back to Aiden...and, wait, Trixie? Was she THAT Trixie? Hehe. "Oh yes, Aiden's-" The King to her Queen? Crazy just like her? "-quite a good friend actually." Nancy ended up finishing her sentence, an amused smirk playing around her lips. "D'you like Aiden too?" She asked innocently, smiling at Trixie, before she added - to cover up her rather shifty question, "Oh, really? That's nice that you already knew somebody." Sort of...right? Trixie's rather weak smile did suggest otherwise though.

They were still talking about...shoes? Crap. Trixie definitely chose the wrong person for that discussion. "Nice." Err...yeah. Or something. Though, Nancy did give the other girl a half-genuine smile so as to not offend her or anything. Wait...what was that enormous smile for? For telling her that she was of-age? Huh? Raising an eyebrow at Trixie questioningly Nancy nodded slowly with a smile directed at the girl as she told her about her age. Yes, interesting. Sort of.

Okay...maybe she had over-reacted a little with the whole Arithmancy thing, though it WAS strange that she didn't like it. "Yeah, well, I'm sure you'll grow to love it." Because it was just awesome! Beam! "Wait...did you have Herbology back at Beauxbatons?" Now THAT certainly would have been an improvement if they hadn't.

Oh, oops. That posh-people comment HAD not been the best thing to say. Err..."Yes, sorry, that's what I wanted to say...I didn't want to offend you or anything." Or suggest that Trixie was posh. But, on to more neutral topics...Oliver for instance. Hehe. "Oh, he's awesome. And I'm not only saying that cause he practically saved my life last term." Or because they had been the evil!pair. "Well, you'll definitely meet him at the tryouts." Nancy beamed at the other girl, totally excited for exactly those to come. Even though she would miss the Kiri-practice, Oliver would do just awesome.

Lottiepot 05-17-2010 08:36 PM

Trixie nodded. "Most definitely. Especially as we have an awesome prefect and Quidditch Captain to help us win" she grinned sweetly but ended with a sigh. "Do you know how many times they have won before, with you know, being that awesome and stuff?" she giggled lightly and then looked down at her shoes again.

Trixie nodded. "And yes well Aiden is my, erm, really good friend" she ended with a sweet smiled. "We erm *cough* kissed once" she sighed. "But well, you know, I don't think things are the same any more" she sighed again. "Just good friends you know" she ended with a weak smiled. "And then there's Patrick as well, he's another, erm..friend" she added on. Ergh boy troubles! "Oh we didn't actually know eachother, I was erm, well popular" she giggled slightly.

Trixie nodded slightlly. "Yes well there was a couple of occasional lessons of Herbology, I quite liked it myself but still wasn't my favourite lesson" she smiled sweetly and then thought back to her Beauxbatons lessons. "But it was still mostly focused on Charms" she sighed.

Trixie smiled. "No It's alright I'm not offended or anything" she laughed lightly. She nodded. "Well yes I will, but I might try and get to talk to him before. I've introduced myself to so many people already so introducing myself to him wouldn't hurt would it?" she giggled again. "He saved your life? Impressive" she laughed.
