Alex glanced at Selena blinking, and then looked down, yeah there was a reason she wore gloves.. "No Sel, I don't want a worm, why don't you levitate it to Zane. Everyone knows guys like worms." Alex stated casually knowing that her boyfriend had heard that comment. She would make it up to him later because it was true.. guys generally loved worms.. and to stick them in girl's hair. On second thought maybe Selena could keep the worm.
Selena shrugged. "Zane, want a worm?" she asked as she scooped up the wriggling worm with the trowel and practically shoved it in his face. "You can always name it," she added. As long as if it wasn't her's then she was fine with it. Worm... die... die... If no one wanted it she wanted to cut it in half.

Alex eyed the seeds.. she was pretty sure majority of fruits came from trees.. in fact she was certain almost all of them did, "Er.. Don't fruits come from trees?" Alex asked raising her hand not moving from her spot, she didn't have a favorite vegetable but she didn't like tomato much.. and good thing that strawberries, raspberries and blackberries were considered Berries and not actual fruit and vegetables.. and what were bulbs? Hmm.. she was so going to ask Zane, he was the Herbology person after all.

Sage smiled at Alex's question, "most fruits come from trees, you're right. And most trees can grow from a tiny seed. Which is what I want you to plant for me." And then with a little help from some magic... hehe.

Alex nodded towards the Professor and thought about it first.. really she didn't know every different type of grain there was... hmm.. she turned to Selena, "What are you going to do?" Alex asked glancing at the seeds.
Selena wanted to grow a watermelon. The biggest one ever. "Do we have to plant a tree?" Selena asked. She didn't want to plant a tree, she'd rather hug one. Vegetable... hmm... She looked at Alex. "I wanna grow a watermelon," she said with a smile, "then I also wanna grow... corn and rice," she said. She had decided! "What about you?" she asked as she looked at the seeds... she could always change her mind.

Alex stated to Selena grinning, "I'll also grow hmm.. carrots and rice." Alex stated nodding, she loved apples with it being her favorite fruit, carrots were vegetables and good and rice.. well it's the only grain she could remember the name of at the moment.

"Alright," she said with a nod of her head and a smile as she looked at the seeds. "I'm going to grow the biggest watermelon ever," she giggled. Yup, a ginormous watermelon. She picked up the seeds necessary and went over to her spot. "How does one be so exact?" she sighed as she tried to figure out where to make the three holes. Grrrr.

Alex almost rolled her eyes at that, she carefully got her own seeds and went back to her spot. "Measure it." Alex told her grinning slightly, "Is there a charm to measure something?" Alex asked raising her hand looking at the Professor, she doubted anyone here carried a measuring tape in their pocket after all.

Amy stood up from her patch and walked over to the table, picking one seed from each box, before walking over to the turf, she kneeled down again and picked up the trowl, begining to dig a hole in the soil, measuirng the hole so it was around what professor was saying. She dropped the seeds into the different holes and stood back, took out her wand and casted agumenti before covering the seeds and then repeating agumenti

Having thoroughly dug over her patch of earth, Emmy zipped over to the seed table, and grabbed seeds labelled 'Raspberry', 'Potato (Estima)', and 'Corn'.
Then, returning to her spot, she dug the necessary holes, planted the seeds in them, covered them over with fresh soil, patted it all down, and to finish off, she watered them in with a flick of her wand, and a murmured "Aguamenti!" Satisfied, she stood back to await their next instructions - should there be any.

Carter poked holes in his plot. He then walked over to the table and looked over the different seeds. He settled on watermelon, corn, and potatoes. Grabbing a few seeds from each pile he returned to his plot and began placing the seeds in the holes. Once he was done he patted the holes closed. He then took a step back and watered them with "Aguamenti."

Ah, nice, they were gonna plant a garden just like she had done with her mother as a little girl and still tending to to this day. This should be so much fun. She walked over to the seed table and picked one marked sunflower, one tomatoe, and one grape. She then returned to her spot and dug three small holes with her shovel and then put each of her seeds in each hole. Then she covered them all up and now was the fun part. "Augmenti", life giving water came from her wand which she carefully monitored to make sure she gave her little seedlings the right amount.

Okay! Abby picked up some tomato seeds. "Professor, do these count as fruit or vegetables?" she asked, holding them up for him to see. Maybe, he'd say that they're both! And then she would be able to knock two birds out with one stone! Hehe.

Finally getting all the rocks and weeds out of her plot Marie made the holes needed to plant her seeds. Seeds she did not yet have. Gonig over to the area the professor had all the seeds displayed she looked over all the choices. Finally deciding on tomato, green peppers and corn she took them back to her plot and planted them. Green peppers on the left, tomatoes in the middle and corn on the right. After patting the dirt into place she took out her wand to water the freshly planted seeds. "Aguamenti"
Well now, that was the first thing she has ever planted. Now the question is, can she grow them plants without killing them first?

OMMERLIN!
They got to plant stuff that wouldn't try to eat them!
Smiling, Evelyn finished up making sure there were no rocks, bugs, or weeds in the area she would be planting this stuff before starting on creating the three different holes. Ten centimeters deep, and twenty centimeters apart. Now...
Who had a ruler?
Deciding to just spot measure it, after she made the three holes, the Slytherin stood up and wiped any dirt that may have stuck to her knees and hands before moving over to where all the seeds were. A fruit, vegetable, and a grain. Alrighty then. Picking up some watermelon seeds, sweet potato seeds, and some oat seeds as well, she was juuuuust about to move back to her spot when someone asked something about the seeds.
Peering over to which kind the girl had, Evelyn smirked before moving back to her little spot. Tomatoes, were definitely fruits. However, it was funny to know that people still got them confused for vegetables. Bahahaha!
"Before you can plant anything, you all need to check on your patch of earth.. so go ahead and check for stones and remove any weeds you might find. Once you're sure it's clear, give the soil a dig around and loosen it up."
..........
"But first we need to plant some seeds!" Yes, they did! And now seemed like a good enough time. "Just to your left, you'll see a table which contains baskets with various types of seeds and bulbs. They're all labelled accordingly so you know what you're planting. Now, I want all of you to plant a fruit, a vegetable and a grain."

WOOO! PLANTIIIIIIIIIIIIING! RawRRRrrrrr!
Miranda looked like she was going to spaz or something. This little back to basics- plantaging was fun! Flopping down next to Sarah, she grinned at her friend and gave her a thumbs-up. Wooo!
Hearing what the Professor was instructing, Miranda took her hand spade and started to dig at her leetle spot of soil. After she was donded, she rummaged through it to see if there was any weed or pebbles or any poor defenseless ickle wormies or other that had just gotten their homes ruined. Sadface."Sorry, little ones..."
Seeing worm wriggle in the dirt, Miranda picked it up with her fingers and carefully placed it next to another plant besides her. Righty-o. She took a weedy flower and tossed it away from her patch, saw a lady bug and let it crawl on her hand. There was some grass that probably shouldn't be there, so she plucked it off the area.
Finished? Hm, why yes. Hehe.
Fruit, vegetable and grain!
HUZZZZZZZZZAAAAH!
Getting up from her dirty spot, she walked over to the table with the seeds and bulbses and took her time to select the seeds that looked the most awesome. Hehe. This one and...that one! Oooooooooh, this one looks aweasome!
She took some carrot seeds, a buttload of orange seeds and some maize seeds aswell.
Walking back to her workspace, she too her spade and dug a hole that was about 10 centimetres...because she didn't really have a ruler... and then two more that were about 20 centimetres apart. So wit that done, she spirnkled ALOT some carrot seeds in the first hole, then she took the orange seeds and put them all in there...and finally the Maize grains! Wooo!
Pushing some soil ontop of the holes again, Miranda gently patted the little bulges down and dusted her hands off before taking her wand out. Ahem. She pointed it at the soild and... Aguamenti! Water flowed out from her wand and she was able to get the soil all moisty for the seeds to enjoy. Hehe.
How incredible! He was going to enjoy this, right? Probably. But...they were meant to eat whatever they planted...he didn't like vegetables. Was he supposed to eat it anyway? Or pretend he ate them, like he always did?
Hmmmm...interesting. He couldn't choose. Let's begin with fruit, it's the easier one. Fruit. Mmmmmm. Yeah, he had no idea. Ooooh...cherries. Mmmhmm. Why not? Okay. One cherry tree coming up. Vegetable. Eek! He was lost. Vegetable. Er, well, bunnies liked radishes. He had no idea what those tasted like. Or he didn't remember, but if the bunnies liked them, then he couldn't go wrong with that. Grain. Hahahaha. What were those again? Was rice a grain? Of course it was a grain! He could...plant rice. Not sure how he'll eat it afterward, but the rice seeds seemed rather lonely after almost all the corn ones were gone. Let's help out our friend, the rice, and pick one of those seeds.
Now. Let's begin planting plants.
Digging the holes, Treyen made sure that the area he was doing this in was free from everything that could interfere with the plant's growing process. And once that was done, without a sense of measurements, because he tried his best to make the desired measurements that Professor Dodson pointed out, he planted the seeds.
Hole One. Cherry.
Hole Two. Radish.
Hole Three. Rice.
He covered them up, and then Aguamenti-ed the whole area.

Meh, there were going to be worms. Destiny didn't want to be reminded of the time she was a chicken and how she almost ATE one. Gross.
Spotting Rae come closer, Destiny gave her a smile. There! The older girl would be able to see that she and Evelyn were friends again. Everything was back to normal..except the fact that she had seen Dodson and Lafay making goo-goo eyes at eachother. She had nightmares over that..*shiver*
OH SWEET MERLIN!
They were going to plant seeeeeeeeds now! Without worrying about the dirt on her knees, Destiny stood and walked over to the baskets on the tables and wiggled her fingers as she decided which seeds to plant. She picked her three seeds, and skipped back to her dirt pile. When she knelt back down, she started digging her hole, not really knowing if it was the right size or not..oh well..what would happen, hmm?
When her three holes were FINALLY dug, she decided to plant her grain seeds first. WHEAT! Wheat is SWEET! Okay, so that may not be true, but whateverrrr. Placing the seeds in the hole, she gingery covered them with some dirt and patted it down. She would wait to water them when ALL the seeds were planted, for it would be easier. Moving on now; she placed her fruit seeds in the next hole, and as she planted them, she couldn't help but laugh. She had thought those freaky, pointy pineapples grew on trees instead of the ground, but she was sooo wrong! As the seeds were placed, she covered them with dirt and paaaaaatted it down. Only one more thing to plant now! She wiped the imaginary sweat from her forehead before placing her vegetable seeds in the last hole. She had no idea what a rutabaga was, but she was a-growing them!
When the dirt was patted down, she pulled out her wand and pointed it at her dirt piles. "Aguamenti!"
She hoped they wouldn't DROWN!

Zane walked over to the baskets and grabbed three seeds. Pear seed, wheat seed, and potato eyes were his choices, and he walked over and planted them just like the professor had said to. He grabbed his wand and mutter the water charm so his little plants could get their water and he smiled, this was the most fun he'd had in a while. He then noticed a worm, "Sure Sel, he'll be good fertilizer." he said, smiling crookedly. His bookWORM was showing. XD

..And as stated men loved worms.. Alex finally just tried her best with planting.. yup making sure it was as the Professor said before giving the planted seeds of hers a little bath of water.. yeah she hated this class. "That's disgusting." Alex muttered to herself eyeing the worm, they looked so slimey!
Selena rolled her eyes and made the three holes and dropped the seeds into them. "You're welcome," she said a bit sarcastically as she found another worm and dumped it next to him, since he wanted it and all. Selena then planted them carefully before she used aguamenti on it to make it grow. Weeeh.

Arya was LOVING playing in her dirt, looking for stones and removing weeds. It reminded her of when she was at Ivory's house and they were helping her mother in her garden. Though this wasn't as fun as that had been, it was a close second.
Once her patch of earth had been deweeded and was free of stones, she began to loosen up the soil with her hands. She had been so focused on this tasked that she almost missed Dodson telling them tha they could pick seeds.
Yay! They finally got to plant things. She already knew what she was going to plant. Bouncing over to the table that held the seeds, she picked up some seeds for peaches, peas and wheat.
Skipping back over to her patch of soul, she started to make holes for her seeds. Arya may have missed the part when the professor mentioned the measurements, so her holes were a little deep, but not to deep that her awesome seeds wouldn't be able to grow.

What were they planting again? Rae had been kneeling on the ground to get to the dirt... Dirt... "Oh great.... I got dirt on my jeans.... Again.." Rae felt that she was sounding a bit materialistic, but after the younger girl threw mud on her jeans like YESTERDAY, and now she had dirt on them from a class? "This is one of those moments that I wish I was rich." Again with the materialistic feeling. But if she was rich then she would have more than 1 pair of jeans. Right?
Gardening... Rae had never done this before.. She turned to Destiny... "So, maybe this was already explained but... What exactly is this?" Some thing about food? So why were they playing in dirt? Rae didn't get it.

Worm talk! Gold raised a hand. "Don't soil-worms, especially earthworms, actually make up for the most fertile soil around, professor?" She asked. They wouldn't be any harm! "I know they loosen it up and break all sorts of scary soil-blocks into fine granules, and I've read that the best soil is often made up of their castings, because those add awesome nutrients like nitrogen and phosphates to it."
She paused. "Is the last part true, sir?"
Gardening had showed her how beneficial soil-worms and earthworms could be for soil, but the castings = nutrients part was something she had only ever read. But Professor Dodson, Gold was sure, would know for certain.

GOSH.
This was better than Gold had hoped for! Rolling up her sleeves, she beamed fondly at her mud-covered gloves - as if they were the best thing in the world and, given how neat and tidy, how pretty perfect, Gold usually was, you might have found that look a surprise, if you didn't know her very well - as she bounded up to the basket.
Now, to levitate out the seeds she wanted to work with. Because, of course, she wasn't going to put her gloved hands in there, and make everything messy for everyone else. Hopefully, nobody else would put dirty hands or messy gloves inside the basket, either.
Having procured the required seeds - fruit, vegetable, grain - she let them drop on one of the extra gloves she had [See? There was a reason she kept an extra pair of gloves, after all!] and carried the glove back to the spot of earth she had prepared. The soil was free of stones and weeds now, and she had loosened it up considerably, allowed the wet patches to dry before she worked on them. Which meant, of course, that she was ready to dig the holes, now. Time to grab a trowel!
