Alex walked into class wearing the odd.. gumboots, she had no idea what they were but managed to have her mother and father sent her some. Alex glanced around and sat down in the last row. "Hello Professor.. what's with the water?" Alex asked glancing down worriedly the water she was grateful she was average size right now. |
Iris walked up to the DADA classroom on her own, kind of glad that it was her last on of the term. She trodded in in her green and white polka dot wellies, with a grin on her face. FINALLY, an exuse to wear them again. She loved wearing her wellies, they were all awesome and spotty. Hehe. She brought them with her, even though she wouldn't need them, and then LOOK! A flooded DADA class, that NEEDED them! Hehe. She smiled at Truebridge as she made her way through the water, "Mornin' Professor!" Iris said to him happily as she found a seat. It was a shame that he wasn't still their Head of House, but he was still awesometastic. hehe. |
Chris was actually getting back into the swing of odd lessons, which he was glad to see he was going to be entering another one. He had reached the door of the classroom and saw the water boots. "Looks like we will be having some fun." he grinned as he sat on the ground to pull of his sneakers. After getting the boots on, they reached about to his knees, the Head Boy entered the classroom and splashed his way over to the desks. "Good day Professor Truebridge, seems as if you got a leak." he chuckled at his own joke, mighty clever if you asked him. |
Evelyn was extremely curious to know why they had to wear 'gumboots' to the lesson today. Obviously, it had something to do with water, but whaaaaat it was, she didn't know. These shoes would've actually have been useful for that one charms class with the bubble head charm. It was slightly hard to walk through the class when you were slipping and sliding...and dripping wet. So, making her way at a normal pace to the DADA classroom, wearing her rainboots (as she likes to call them), and feeling quite comfortable in them, the moment she entered the classroom though... ...she was noooot expecting this. No wonder they had to wear these shoes. Hearing the splashes of the water with every step she took, Evelyn looked up to find the Professor, unsure of where she should put her bag down. Everything was like, wet! "Good day...Professor Truebridge." she said quietly and half distracted since she was trying to look for a dry place. There! At that desk! IT WAS HERS! |
Grayson eyed the line of boots outside the DADA classroom, as she walked to the door, then scrunched her nose a little. Of course, she was wearing her own boots, so she wasn't going to need to borrow those, but they were just so icky and boring. Hers were better. More colorful, and fun. Entering the classroom, however, her scrunched up expression faded into a grin. It was like a really big puddle, and she wanted to start splashing. Skipping a little, so she felt like she was puddle-jumping without really doing so, she headed for the desks. "Hi Professor Truebridge!," she called out as she passed him, before dropping her school bag on a desk and sitting behind it. Contemplating trying to use Impervious on her things, just in case. At least a lot of her really important stuff was up in the dorm today, because she was curious what they'd be studying that needed flooding. Maybe merpeople, or grindylows, or . . . She let her thoughts trail off. |
Marie was about ready to walk into the DADA classroom when she seen all the water. Oh holt Merlin, what were they doing today? Putting on a pair of the boots the professor had there she finally entered the room. "Hello Professor Truebridge, how are you today? Nice day for a flood." She said with a little laugh. Taking her usual seat at the back of the class she took out some parchment and a quill and started to doodle while she waited for Carter to show up. |
Destiny had no idea why she would need rain boots for this class, but she had them for she wasn't about to wear those things provided. Merlin knows whose feet were in them! Standing in the doorway of the the classroom with her AWESOME dinosaur rain boots already on, she knew why they needed to wear them. It had rained in the classroom! If only she would have arrived earlier, she might have been able to see this rain take place. It wasn't her fault her rain boots were hard to get on..the dinosaurs were being difficult. Trudging through the water, she headed to a desk near wherever Evelyn was going, but stopped in her tracks when she seen Truebridge, "Professor! Can I..SPLASH in the WATER!?" She should have brought her matching raincoat for this. |
Gumboots. Great. As Annie had read the notice boards, she obviously didn't have any of those to wear at the DADA classroom, so she was thankful to Professor Truebridge that he was lending them some. She put the boots on and walked into the classroom. The biggest poodle she could have ever seen was inside there. It was just fun... She grinned and tried to ignore the fact that she was anxious to jump and splash around. With a wide smile, she turned to the professor, "Good day, Professor..." She said and walked to a desk, still wearing her small backpack on her left arm. She wondered...what spell they could be learning that...required water, or water as the battlefield. |
"Hello, everyone. Just simulating a habitat to make our guest a little more comfortable." Truebridge answered. "And by all means Destiny, go ahead and... splash." Truebridge answered. It appeared he was in a good mood today. |
Delilah walked in the classroom wearing a pair of gumboots. "Good morning Professor!" She said with a smile as she took an empty seat toward the back of the room. |
Iris looked at Professor Truebridge as he said this. "Our .. um ... Guest?" She asked him... Suddenly the lesson seemed a lot more interesting. She looked down into the very shallow water, expecting to see little water creatures or something swimming around on their backs. |
Carter headed to the DADA classroom just knowing he'd forgotten something. Wasn't he supposed to bring something? Gum maybe? On his way to the classroom he passed the notice board. Gumboots. He was close. It had the word gum in it. Now there was only one question that remained - what were gumboots? As he neared the classroom he noticed it was flooded. Where those merpeople that he heard about back? He needed to warn Destiny. They hadn't had a chance to learn mermish yet. He grabbed a pair of boots (that he could only assume were the gumboots he was supposed to have) and slid them on. They adjusted in size until they fit perfectly. "Hello Professor." he said entering the classroom. He then took a seat next to Marie and waited to hear the reason that the room was flooded. |
Alex raised her eyebrows in wonder in thought, what could their guest be if the Professor put water ankle deep in the classroom? Could it be some form of Magical creature? Alex waited for the Professor to tell them because a fourth year had just after all asked the question. |
"Hello Carter. Hello Delilah. Yes guest. We have a Kappa visiting today." Or rather, being escorted by some helpers. "Before that happens, we'll talk a bit of theory, and go over the safety rules of course. A few minutes more and we'll begin." Truebridge answered and nodded at those who had just arrived. |
Arya hadn't the slightest idea why they would need rain boots for a lesson in the classroom, but she didn't queston the matter. Cause she got to wear her aweseome rainboots. Glancing at the row of spare rainboots, she skipped into class and grinned at the water surrounding her ankles. That was why they needed rainboots. "Hey, Professor Truebridge!" She said, splasing through the water as she made her way over to the desks. It didn't cross her mind to question the reason for the water, having been to distracted by the water. Splashing through the water, she sat at a desk and waited for class to begin. |
Eirian walked up to the door, staring confusedly at the rows of boots there. They looked disgusting and icky and pre-worn, but, as she glanced inside the classroom and noticed that the ground was covered with water, she decided she would need them. Pulling a pair on - and charming them neon orange for the fun of it - she walked into the classroom, every step met with a squeak until she waded into the water and pulled off her robe so that it wouldn't get wet. "Bom dia, Professor," Eirian said, waving to Truebridge as she walked past, carrying her robe in her arms, to sit alone. With a moment to think to herself, she bit her lip, and, rubbing her still slightly puffy eyes, she plopped her robe on a seat to the left of her. Hopefully, Jayce would walk in soon enough... He said they should actually attend classes together, and he better have been truthful about it... |
Truebridge must have been in a good mood for letting Destiny splash in the water. The after effects of the classroom rain must have made him happy.. ..perhaps he seen a RAINBOW!? ..perhaps he found a pot of gold at the end of that RAINBOW!? With a wide smile, she turned away from the Professor, and eyed up Evelyn. Very. Dry. Evelyn. "Ohhh Evelyn!!!" she called out to her friend, before hopping and splashing her way over to her. "We're gunna see a Kappa!" Bahaha! Evelyn was going to need a raincoat. |

Staring wide eyed at her friend, Evelyn fumbled around in her bag, looking at her friend in horror as she called out her name. No. Nononononono. Where was her wand?! Where where where where- What? They were going to be looking at Kappas? Or, studying them? Weren't those dangerous? That didn't matter right now. What mattered was that there was a giant wall of WATER coming towards her and her stuff. OMG! Wand, wand wand....THERE IT WAS! And the first spell that came to mind was... "Revertoscutum!" she yelled out, pointing her wand towards the water that was headed towards her. Don't splash her! No getting wet! AAHHHHHHH! |

"Feel free to Impervius yourselves." Truebridge had done so himself already. "We'll begin now with a few basic questions, which most of you likely know the answers to already, but there is nowhere better to start than at the beginning. What country can Kappa be found in?" ooc: If you haven't posted arriving I don't mind you doing so as long as you do before the next question. And feel free to edit your post if you miss this one. I'm feeling just a little slack today ;) |
Chris raised his hand almost as soon as the Professor finished his question. "Professor the kappas can be found in lake in the foothills. They are commonly found in Japan." the head Boy nodded. He then raised his wand and placed a non-verbal impervius spell on himself. |
Whoa. Water. But Gold had gotten used to all that the Hogwarts professors could come up with, and it scarcely ever surprised her, now. She had hovered at the door, unsure whether to go in, but now she was inside, and raised a hand to answer Professor Truebridge's question. "Japan, sir," she said, simply. |
Pffft, Evelyn didn't like to get splashed. Watching as her wall of water suddenly change into..something that was not water, Destiny stopped hopping and frown, "It's only water. Besides, if your hair gets wet, I can help you." She gave her friend an over dramactic wink and plopped herself down at a desk. She wasn't going to be one of those Can she splash AGAIN!? |
Emmy squelched into the classroom, puzzled by all the water - had Moaning Mrtle flooded her toilet again? No, wait, wrong part of the castle... So maybe it was meant to be here...? Still puzzled, she found a seat, plonked herself down, and waited. |
