Evelyn didn't have a problem not addressing the girl at all. In fact, if it was possible, Lufoy could've taken a few more steps away. The Slytherin wouldn't have minded. "It's called accidentally forgetting, smart one. Which is why I asked her again."
Oh yes. Selena should come and hang with the better Slytherins. Teehee.
*sigh*
Selena had to be the nice one at the moment. "I will only call her by her first name if she starts calling me by my first name." Simple as that.
However, glancing at the Professor, Evelyn figured she should probably wrap this little argument up before anything becomes too suspicious. And if it did come to it, she could probably just talk her way out of it. It was a great thing that a new teacher was teaching this class and not Lawson.

Alex opened the note slowly, Evenlyn?..Eelyn..Evlyn.. Evelyn. Alex sighed, standing up again walking back over to them, "Fine Evelyn, just don't expect me to call you your first name right..because..honestly..Evelyn is a hard name to remember." She folded the parchment and threw it at Selena thankfully hitting Flores shoulder..opps oh well.

This girl, should've been in Gryffindor for her bravery. Watching her write something down on a piece of parchment, Evelyn raised the towel to wipe a drop of water that she could feel on her forward...when she felt something hit her shoulder.
No...she...
...didn't.
Slowly lowering the towel, she narrowed her eyes at Lufoy before looking down at the folded parchment on the floor. About to bend down to pick it up, Selena was too fast and got it before her. Still, with narrowed eyes, she made a quick smile in the direction of Selena before looking back to Lufoy. "Sleep with your eyes...open." she muttered before moving forward and around Lufoy to get to her desk.
As she passed the girl however, Evelyn couldn't help but wham her shoulder into the girls. And rather hard too. Possibly ruining whatever 'friendship' that could have been made with Selena, but it was totally worth it.

Alex felt the hard wham hitting her shoulder hard. Alex bit her tongue hard as she fell to the ground. What was wrong with that girl! She thought angrily, her shoulder throbbed..and so did her head she realised her hand craddling her head, she groaned loudly. "Oww." She muttered trying to get up..which with the room spinning was impossible. She opened her amber eyes seeing the room spinning around and around, was there two Selena's? Alex wondered blinking the pain almost distracting her from two Selena's.

Selena winced. Ouch. But she hadn't fallen like Alex. She glanced over at Evelyn. Why was she suddenly so... rude? No, she was always like this, Selena was crazy in the first place to believe that she could actually be friends with her. She gave Alex a hand. "Are you alright?" she asked Alex.

Selena was worried. She pulled her friend up and looked at her. "Alex, are you alright? Because there's only one of me..." she said. Evelyn hadn't really made her fall that hard... right? She bit her lower lip. What should she do now?

Sitting down at her desk, not far from where the other two were, Evelyn turned to look at them, only to see the girl on the ground. "You alright there, Lufoy?!" she called out with a sly smirk before rapidly changing it to a worried expression, including standing up to get a good look at the Slytherin on the ground.

Had Lexi purposely charmed his crate to be unbreakable or something?!
He hadn't been in any danger though with his pretty bubble around his head. He was even wearing his glasses, which were nice and protected and DRY thanks to the nifty charm. When he got out of the crate, he swam right up to the top and, with a quick finite, the spell was lifted from his head. He turned to a few of the Gryffindors in the tank and frowned.
"Any of you seen my bow tie?" he asked, touching the place on his collar where the clip on had accidentally come off while they were tossing him around like a lifeless puppet in the crate.
When Nolan emerged from the tank and immediately asked about his bow tie, Lexi just cracked up in laughter. Only a man like Nolan Reynolds would think of his bow tie---or one of his crystal balls---right after a situation like this one. "Welcome...out of the crate, Professor Reynolds!" Lexi said, joining the Gryffindors at their tank. "Good work, Gryffindor house!" ...and great teamwork, too. For a while, Lexi thought that only or two brave Lions were going to actually attempt the mission. She was glad to see they'd really come together as a team in the longrun.

Simon looked at the Professor, she was so kind, he turned to her and smiled. "Professor I am really sorry about how I acted." He hoped that she would forgive him, maybe he should have thought things through next time before he went off on one again.
As she walked away, Lexi overheard the conversation between Simon and Nymphy. She smiled and started to walk away, then heard Simon call out an apology to her. Turning around and still smiling, she just nodded once in reply. "Thank you, Mr. de Simpson," she said. She would have said more, and she wanted to, but a few Slytherins standing nearby caught her attention.

She really did wish that Alex didn't say that though. It made things worse. They kept fighting, and they would always fight but it was only because they tried to get on each others nerves. "Alex..." she said softly, she didn't want Alex to think she was picking sides, "you don't have to always turn something so small, into something bigger," she said. She really didn't want to offend Alex, but this time it was her who was at fault. "And Evelyn, she does have a first name, it's Alex," she said to her. Though Lufoy did sound a bit cute, she doubted Alex would like it.
She had just gotten herself stuck in the middle. Again.

Lexi completely understands and knows that not everyone in the whole world will always get along and befriend each other. She was willing to overlook the fact that Alex and Evelyn seemed to severely dislike one another. What she wasn't willing to overlook, though, was the paper throwing and shoulder slamming.
"Miss Flores and Miss Malfoy-Lupin," she said, her voice taking on a very disappointed tone. "Ten points from Slytherin house---five each. Both of you are very intelligent, hard-working students, and I'm extremely disappointed in the paper-throwing and shoulder-slamming I've just seen." She paused for a moment and sighed softly. Her eyes moved from Alex to Evelyn and back again.
After a few seconds, she added, "However, I'm going to give you an opportunity to earn them back." She glanced around the classroom, which was halfway soaked due to students diving in and out the water over the last half hour. "The classroom is soaked---the floors, the desks...the walls. Stay after class, work together without arguing, and the points will be given back."
"Now that all four crates have opened and our brave volunteers have been released, you are dismissed," she said, glancing out at the class as a whole. "Your reward is house points to each individual who helped open a crate and release a staff member. You'll get your points in the next few days, so keep checking the hourglass. Homework will be posted on the announcement board in the next few days, as well. Thanks for being such good sports, everyone, and I hoped you enjoyed class!"
"Have a good day!" she added.
OOC: I have the thread locked in order to close class, but I'm going to open it for the roleplay with the Slytherins quoted above. Other than that, class is over, and I hope you all had a good time!

Alex groaned loudly trying to get up, she didn't care if she was seeing double and her head and shoulder hurt she needed to earn the points back. She managed to sit..nope she was down again. "Se'na help me up Ple'se." She muttered firmly trying to ignore the urge to be sick. She also needed to know if she could use magic to do it..she would ask after she got up.
Selena quickly pulled Alex off the ground. "You two shouldn't have to do this.. it was all my fault..." Selena said quietly. She felt absolutely terrible because none of this would've happened if it weren't for her. Now Alex was seeing double and the two were going to be cleaning the room... it didn;t seem fair to Selena.
"Okay" Abbi nodded letting go of the rim to swim closer to Gold, Gold of all people she trusted, maybe because she stood up and helped her in that scary battle class she was a caring person and she liked her. Swimming closer to her so she do that bubble thing charm on her head. "I'll try casting the spell too, I've practiced it in DADA" she admitted, not sure how well she'll cast it. But hey she'd help with any itsy bitsy of magic if she could, even if she doubted herself.
On Gold's count of three, Abbi pointed her wand at the crate and yelled "Histedius" with her house mates.
Lowering her wand, Gold turn to give Abbi a gentle, under-water hug. "You know you're doing a great job, right?" She asked, as she eyed the crate. It should break, seriously, after all that they had cast upon it. Gold was amazed that it was still the same it had been, the moment she had climbed into the tank. Stubborn crate!boy!
Meh.

Oh. GOSH.
Gold had definitely, definitely, DEFINITELY not foreseen this. Which was exactly why, when Professor Reynolds climbed out of the crate, her eyes were round as galleons. For a moment, she was speechless, and then her mouth broke into a huuugee grin.
"I think Chris has it, sir," she said, cheerfully. "It came out of the crate, and Chris picked it up."
AND.
This meant, they would have to climb out of the tank. Since the crate was now open. Nooo! She had been enjoying this class! Gold pouted, before finally proceeding to climb out. To her surprise, her Bubble-Head Charm began to grow smaller, as she swam towards the surface. She had not expected that! The sixth year instinctively swam a little faster, and was able to make it to total safety [and relative dryness], without her Bubble-Head Charm giving way.
Employing a quick Finite, before the bubbled vanished itself, Gold climbed out of the tank, all wet and soggy. "Anyone need help with drying up?" she asked, as she pointed her wand at the hem of her robes, and started to dry them up. She kept an eye on the tank, too. To make sure everyone - especially the younger students - were emerging from it, safe and sound.
Because this class had been pretty cool.
Yep.

Aww, nooo. Gold had been enjoying this class. Why did it have to come to an end? Having dried herself up, the sixth year made her way to Professor Carlton. "Thanks for the great lesson, ma'am," she said, with a small smile. "Do you want a hand, cleaning up?"
But Professor Carlton chose that moment to tell a few students that they could stay back and clean. Gold hovered, unsure whether to leave or not. It would look rude if she left right after offering to help, no? Oh well, she would just wait for Professor Carlton to give her leave. Then she noticed that one of the Slytherins - Alex, was that not the name? - did not look too good. Gold frowned slightly, wondering what on earth had happened here. Alex looked like she needed the Hospital Wing.
Selena was worried. She pulled her friend up and looked at her. "Alex, are you alright? Because there's only one of me..." she said. Evelyn hadn't really made her fall that hard... right? She bit her lower lip. What should she do now?

Hearing Alex groan, Lexi turned to see the girl on the floor and in pain. She blinked, wondering what had happened to cause the girl to be so badly hurt. She'd seen Evelyn slam into Alex's shoulder, and although that should have never happened, it really hadn't looked like anything more than a bump.
Nevertheless, something had happened to cause Alex to be in pain, and thankfully, Lexi knew lots of healing charms, since she was...well, a Charms professor. "Yes, you may use magic. First, though, let cast a few charms on your shoulder that'll keep it from hurting," she said. With her wand raised, she approached Alex and began a series of healing charms she'd picked up on years ago and studied in her free time ever since. After a few minutes, she'd used just about every charm she knew of to heal Alex's arm. "There, dear. That should feel much better," she said with a smile.
Turning towards the other Slytherin girl, she added, "Thank you, Miss Zabini-Riddle. You're dismissed along with the rest of class."

"Well, thank you, Miss Laksh. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your team really came together there at the end," she said with a smile. She shook her head when Gold asked if she needed any help cleaning up. "Normally, I'd take you up on that offer, but two others now need to try earn back points recently lost. I think they can take it from here. Have a good day, though...and thank you again!"
Alex frowned at Evelyn, "Evelyn slamed her shoulder into mine, she's like how much taller then me? I didn't stand a chance." Alex had been off guard causing her to fall and hit her head, thus this. She did however remember to smile thankfully at the Professor. Evelyn was mean Alex decided firmly. She was like thirteen and Alex was just eleven. Not fair at all. "Thanks Professor." Alex remembered..now she just needed to learn the drying charm.

Gold nodded. She had expected that much, once she had heard the Professor speak to the Slytherins who were still in the classroom. But of course, she had not wanted to just walk out of the classroom, after she had offered help. That would have been plain rude. "Thank you," she said, with a smile. "That was an amazing lesson -- I never, ever expected those crates could contain professors."
She smiled again, before shouldering her bag, properly. "Have a nice day, Professor." Then, turning round, the sixth year headed out of the classroom, jotting the homework down on her way out.
Seriously too many people were wet and it was making him anxious.
Not that Christopher hated water, no by all means it was a necessity for life after all, but he would just rather not get wet right this second. He'd done his part of the team work and kept the Bubble head charms up and taken part in the levitating and fixating and even in the final opening of the crate without so much as getting a drop of water on himself. But then supply list girl had quite (on purpose he thought) shaken her hair and his track record had been broken after that.
By that point he felt like just taking a dive into the tank. His face and hair were already wet anyway so what harm would it do....
Wrestling with the decision, he grabbed one of the nearby towels and dried his face.
Nevertheless, they'd done good. Against his want to keep himself apart from people, it seemed he was meeting new ones after all.Thinking about it, he realized it wasn't that bad...meeting people. Maybe he should give it a try officially and not just because he had to.
Grimacing at the amount of small talk he'd have to suffer through first, Christopher turned to his fellow Ravenclaws deciding to just barrel through pleasantries.
"So in the hype of it all, I'm afraid I didn't get everyone's names," Well honestly he hadn't been paying attention and most of them had flowed through one ear and out the other but hey he was trying."..or really give mine for that matter so just to get it out there, I'm Christopher James," Saying it he realized how horribly formal that sounded,so he followed up with his usual nickname. "C.J. to all you housemates..." With a rueful smile, he continued. "We did good."
Willow got out of the tank and dried off with one of the towels she walked over to CJ after hearing him address the other students in their house. "I agree it all went rather well. My name is Willow by the way, first year student."
Finite, Pop went the bubble inclosing Patroclus mouth and nose. Listening to their dismal, and seeing the two Slytherin's who were focred to clean Patroclus, collected his things, and tried to reduce the amount of water his was creating, by performing the hot air charm.
turning to the Professor he smile and thanked her, "The lessons this year just get getting more exciting and more challenging, I love it! Thanks so much Professor Carlton, this was great!"
curly haired prefect - "sometimes I get angry!" - 30/90 - *chicken emoji* - probably @ Disney - I speak dog
"Ahh, yes, I see it now," Nolan said with a smile, scooping the bow tie out of the water where it was floating near the Head Boy. Uggh. Ruined. Ah well, he had five others, and that didn't even count the ones that were different colors other than black.
"I'm getting out now," he announced to the Gryffindors as he clambered out of the tank. "I'm turning into a prune!" he exclaimed, looking at his shriveled hands. As he got out of the tank, however, his foot slipped on the water and he went skidding across the floor, arms flailing to try and stop himself from falling. He managed to stop himself from sliding RIGHT before he crashed into Evelyn Flores, who was apparently staying behind the clean the classroom. EEP! Collision averted!
"So sorry, Miss Flores," he muttered, standing up and regaining his balance again. Good thing he'd stopped--they didn't need any more injured Slytherins! "Well, it seems my part of the lesson is over, so I'll be on my way...Lexi, I'll be sending you a bill for the bruise remover I'm inevitably going to be ordering from Weasleys Wizard Wheezes, by the way," he added with a playful grin at the professor before pulling out his wand and cleaning himself off. There. Nice and dry now!
"Good day!" he said before following the students out the door.

Meh.
She'd been expecting something of the sort, however, what did surprise her was the fact that they could earn it back by cleaning the room. And even by using magic! Oh Merlin, this professor was so much better than Lawson. Standing up completely this time, although she was practically off the hook, Evelyn still frowned at Lufoy.
Pfft. Acting all innocent because she was 'hurt'. She didn't hit her that hard. It wasn't fair that the girl had first year cuteness with her. And third years pretty much had nothing except the fact that they were supposed to be growing up. Whatever.
Resisting the urge to roll her eyes, Evelyn nodded towards the Professor with a usual guilty smile when caught doing something, and was about to take the towel around her shoulders off...

When THIS happened!!
Feeling something crash into her, she tried to keep her balance up, like...really tried...and tried to keep the other person up as well, but since the other person was wet and creating a puddle around her feet in a matter of seconds, she ended up slipping and falling back in her seat. Of course at a weird angle, and wasn't without hitting her side against the desk, but that didn't stop the Slytherin from gripping the desk in not only anger, but from shock and horror as well.
Looking up to see who it was, her eyes were wide when they landed on the Divination Professor, hearing him apologize at the same time. Be nice be nice be nice be nice BE NICE!!!! "Quite alright, Professor Nolan." she said, an obvious fake smile on her face, although...she was actually trying at least. "Best watch you step from now on. There are a lot of little puddles in the classroom." Watching him leave, and still sitting in her seat, the Slytherin finally let out the breathe she was holding and looked towards the Charms Professor.
Time to be a nice good student who could do no wrong! "Perhaps you should stand out of the way too Professor Carlton. Wouldn't want you slipping like Professor Nolan." Translating to...she didn't want anymore professors colliding with her.
"So, we are to clean this room?" Crap. She couldn't remember any cleaning spells.
Alex rose her hand, "What's the drying and cleaning charm Professor?" She asked curiously, if she was going to clean then she was going to do it right.
Kate was amazed by the things that happened in the class...she only wished she could participate a little more..
Grabbing her things, she stood up and talked to Professor Carlton "Good bye Professor, I had a wonderful time and learn a lot! See u"
Nancy was sort of glad that the lesson was over...not that she hadn't liked it, she'd loved it to be honest, but that whole thing going on with a few of the Slytherins wasn't something she'd have wanted to go on any longer. Bleh. Why was it always them? Well, at least Professor Carlton gave them the opportunity to earn the points they'd lost back. Good...very good.
Placing the strap of her bag over her shoulder the Prefect made her way to the door of the classroom and gave the professor a friendly smile. "Thanks for the great lesson, Professor. Bye." However, Nancy hesitated slightly at the door, turing back again to face the professor again. "May I help them?" She inclined her head towards Evelyn and Alex, chewing on her lip a little uncomfortably. Yes, she had heard Professor Carlton telling Gold that she didn't need her help but maybe she was allowed to help the Slytherins...her Slytherins.

Probably not though.
For a moment or two, Lexi just eyed Alex and Evelyn. They had gotten themselves into this mess, and now it seemed like they wanted Lexi to help them get out of it. As she was considering the best way to answer that question, the Slytherin prefect spoke up and offered her assistance. "Miss Hudonson may assist you two," she said, glancing over at the Slytherin prefect. Her eyes flickered back to Alex and Evelyn. "...but only to instruct you on what charms to use and how to cast them. Other than that, the actual cleaning will be left up to the two of you." Before leaving the girls to get started, Lexi smiled brightly at Nancy and said her thanks. "Thank you, Miss Hudonson..."

"That was an amazing lesson -- I never, ever expected those crates could contain professors."
She smiled again, before shouldering her bag, properly. "Have a nice day, Professor." Then, turning round, the sixth year headed out of the classroom, jotting the homework down on her way out.
"Thank you, Miss Laksh. It means a lot to me that my students enjoy my lessons," she remarked. Lexi just laughed lightly when Gold mentioned how surprised she was to see staff members come out the crates. Hmm...so the secret had been well-kept---even if a tie, necklace, bow tie, and set of cufflinks had slipped out. "You have a good day, too!"

"You're welcome, and thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the lesson," she said, smiling at Patroclus. Wow, those Gryffindors were getting oh-so-good at paying their professors compliments, now weren't they?

"Wow, Nolan. I didn't realize you were in that big of a hurry to get back to your crystal balls," Lexi joked. She only said that, of course, because she knew he hadn't been hurt. Sure, his pride may have been bruised a little---or so she imagined---but he otherwise looked to be just as well as he was before the class even began.
When he joked about billing her for some silly joke shop bruise remover, Lexi just laughed and then waved goodbye to her fairly new friend. "Thanks for everything, Nolan! See ya later!" she called out.

"I'm glad you liked the lesson, and I had a good time watching everyone have a good time. Have a nice day," she told the little Gryffindor girl, as she waved goodbye then turned to check on Alex, Evelyn, and Nancy's progress.
Alex turned begging eyes onto the female prefect, "How do we do the drying charm and cleaning one?" Alex asked ignoring her dislike towards anything that had that badge to their shirt.
Selena felt absolutely terrible. It was all her fault in the first place... she needed to tell the professor. "Professor Carlton, they shouldn't have to clean the room, I should because it was my fault that they were fighting in the first place," Selena said to the professor. She felt absolutely terrible that they had to slave away like this. It was really all her fault. "So... you shouldn't punish them... but you should punish me," Selena said. She didn't want them to do something they shouldn't be doing... if only Selena hadn't approached Flores like that even though she knew Alex hated her...
