"Again, I was not trying to be of insult in anyway," she told him with a roll of her eyes. No need to be so defensive kid. I mean, really. She could be friends with little firstie's if she wanted.
She watched his eyes as he stated that Jake was fine. They flashed into a somewhat of a panic mode. But she blinked and it was gone. "He doesn't look fine," Thalia stated. Maybe he had an illness that was related to his stuttering.
How were her classes? "Brilliant," Thalia mused with fake sarcasm.
"Classes are classes. They're just something you wake up to everyday with a sense of 'Oh great, Professor what's his/her face is going to be teaching us fill in the blank'," she mocked what she thought everyday waking up. "Of course you Ravenclaws care a better amount then us Slytherins," she added. "I over all enjoy most," she finally declared getting to the main point." Her and her tendency to run off on some stupid story applied here.
She watched as Jake returned and said, "Thanks." Really. He did not have to buy her anything. But it was the thought that counted. That's when she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. Something she had never dared tried in attempt. Thalia Munroe did it though and she was sort of scared to see what this kid's reaction was going to be.

Mhmm. All was well.
"S'alright," Jake shrugged, looking at his two friends, the old one and the new one, and musing in thought. He had just attempted to look out of the window when, without him realising what was happening.

O.O
She kissed him.
It was on the cheek, but STILL. Jake's eyes went wide and he stared straight at the girl. Didn't say anything. He was... shocked, but... he didn't know why.
"Erm..." Jake whispered, thinking only about shieliding young Tibi's innocent eyes, and about the last girl who had decided to kiss him. The little colour that had touched his cheeks finally drained away, but still...

Tiberius let the comments about Jake go unanswered, seeing as he was sitting there now. Tibi kept sipping his butterbeer, seeing as the longer he had the glass to his lips, the less he had to talk to this girl.
Tibi put down his glass and smiled at Jake. "No, really. I want to."
He took a long drink at exactly the wrong time because that was when the randomly appearing girl decided to KISS JAKE.
Caught by surprise and unsure whether to inhale, laugh or hide somewhere and die, Tibi turned his head just fast enough to avoid spraying his tablemates with butterbeer as it flew out of his mouth.
Turning back, muttering a soft 'sorry,' he looked between the two of them, eyes wide, mouth open in a little surprised o.
Jake. got. kissed.

"OI" he yelled out across the room so that everyone would hear. "THERE IS TO BE NONE OF THAT MUSHY STUFF IN HERE. THIS IS NOT PUDDIFOOT'S YA KNOW."
Kids!
Who's stupid idea was it to let kids into the Hogs Head?

The girl gave him another one of her cuuuuuute and pretty smiles before turning her gaze to the Hogs Head yet again.
How could he work in this place? Why would he WANT to? And those were the questions going through the girl's head as her eyes followed another bug scuttling around on the floor.
Fascinating.
Not.
But then she heard SOMETHING. Like someone SPITTING. And the red quickly turned her gaze back to the bartender and the glass in his hand. A glass which now contained some DISGUSTING LIQUID-Y STUFF WHICH WAS NOT BUTTERBEER (or any drink, really). The redhead eyeballed the glass as the bartender wiped it with his rag - EEW EW EW EW EW EW- and then ... handed it to her.
Di STARED at the glass and then at the bartender, dumbstruck.
STAAAAAAAARE. STARE. STARE. STARE. STARE.
He did WHAT? She had asked him to CLEAN the glass, not to SALIVA-COAT it!
And he had the NERVE to ask her for ONE GALLEON!
"That glass is not clean." Madiison informed the bartender, LOOKING at him in the eyes. LOOK!AT!ME, silly bartender who thought spitting into a glass was a way to clean a glass.
OBVIOUSLY his mother taught him nothing at home. AND he probably never learnt anything useful at Hogwarts.
Bet he was a Hufflepuff.
Sniff. Sniff. Saaaaaad. So sad.
This girl was not going to go away was she? Samuel wanted to beat his head repeatedly against the counter top.
How did he get rid of her?
"Look. Little girl you have your butterbeer, just give me the money and be on your way. If you want clean glasses and friendly atmosphere then you are in the wrong place."
"S'alright," Jake shrugged, looking at his two friends, the old one and the new one, and musing in thought. He had just attempted to look out of the window when, without him realising what was happening.

Thalia really didn't know to take that as a good or bad thing. It seemed as if she had subtly shocked him. Well, she had shocked herself maybe even more. She had just decided to kiss some random kid she had just met. It didn't bother her somehow. I mean, of course there was no lip-locking. Ever. In her book. Seriously. She had wrote it down somewhere that she would NEVER let a guy kiss her and get away with it.
She blushed and smiled slightly at him. "My way of saying thank you I guess," Thalia figured unsurely. She almost burst into the laughter at the sight of the younger boy who had spit his drink everywhere. Whoops. She forgot that he was twelve. "Are you okay?" she asked slowly with a chuckle.
Being half veela meant a lot of things. 1) There was rarely a need for make up. 2) Boys somehow felt attracted to her (even the ones she wanted to smack). 3) She had a way of getting to people whether others liked it or not. So these things were running through her head at the moment.
"I---," began Thal with a frown. "---didn't mean to kiss you. It was---unintentional," she finally managed to say. "Not that I didn't like it," she quickly added. But then shut up about the topic.
"Sorry if I scarred you for life," came a sarcastic comment to Tibi. She smiled at both of the boys and then looked down at her hands.
What came next? No comment?

Drinking some more of his butterbeer, Oliver's eyes moved back to Miranda's. He placed his bottle on the table and wiped his mouth on his hoody sleeve. He hoped she knew he was teasing then; or maybe Miranda took everything said as gospel. Merlin, no wonder their friendship had been rocky and confused so far. Oliver's inbuilt need to make light of everything and Miranda who was the most gullible person he had ever met. He did, however, stop smirking when she answered his question seriously – he didn't want to think he was laughing at her. But then he smiled when she made a joke of it herself. “So... if you were stranded on a dessert Island and could take ONE thing, and one thing only, would it be a life supply of chocolate?” He asked with a grin.
She seemed excited by the prospect of this Honeydukes. A sweet shop! And here was Oliver thinking it must have been a tearoom. “Sweets? Sounds good to me. Do they have muggle chocolate?” He asked leaning forward in his seat a little. You couldn't beat muggle confectionery. Those old fashioned boiled sweets and that Dairy Milk chocolate. He didn't know why it was so different to wizarding stuff – actually, he did - there was no risk of getting something poo flavoured.. or unexpectedly turning into a canary with the muggle stuff. “Durmstrang.” He sighed.. but not in a content way. “It was beautiful but, no I don't miss it. Not at all. I wasn't happy there. All that strict pureblood mightier than thou stuff is a little disconcerting when you're a halfy. And the kids were snotty.. arrogant. I wouldn't go back there for all the muggle chocolate in England.” He smirked once again. “Did you grow up in the wizarding world?” He asked Miranda with interest.
Oliver shrugged. He didn't care that tryouts have been postponed. He hadn't been feeling up to it anyway. His eyes snapped back to Miranda's when she asked if he was nervous. He was tempted to give a sarcastic, cocky reply about how Oliver Greenwood laughed in the face of nerves but.. meh. “I'm petrified.” He admitted, looking down at his bottle of butterbeer. “After watching you lot.” Oops.. that hadn't meant to slip out. “...er.. yeah. You Badgers are good. I'm thinking of...” Did he dare tell her? Oh man.. he was trying to be honest with her at all times now. But it was damn hard. “..not going.” He finished and took another sip of his drink.
“Franken what!? - OH.. no... really?” He asked disbelievingly. “I though Pilliwinkle had kept it as a pet.” He mumbled. “Well.. you'll be pleased to know that there's now three of those things flapping and nesting and multiplying or whatever it is butterflies do around Hogwarts.” He made a face. Major fail.
"Oh, no doubt." Miranda laughed. Seriously, chocolate was a persons best friend. Hehe. "What would you choose to take with you?" She took a sip. Hmmm, it was almost a personal question. What someone chose, she thought, could totally tell you who that person was...like. Sorta.
Muggle chocolate? "Uh...I don't think so." Miranda pusrsed her lips as she thought about it. "We can have a look see. Maybe they do have it now." Miranda had eaten Muggle candy...but somehow, she'd gotten way too attached to the Choco Frogs. And as Oliver sighed, Miranda cursed her stupidity as she remembered how he had...told her he didn't want to talk about it. Though...maybe it was just about the goat horn thing. She put on a worried face, seeing how uneasy he looked talking about it. So it was true. Durmstrang was still all 'Pure Blood mania' like. She managed to smile in time for his little jest. And the smirk was back. That was actually looking nicer than his sad pout he had before.
And then the attention was brought to her. "Oh, no... I grew up in the outskirts of London (?), my father didn't want to make my mother leave her muggle life...so we live there. Dad's happy with that though, he loves muggle things." She nodded and took another sip.
She was almost expecting him to joke about the Quidditch stuff, but he didn't and Miranda was happy that he was honest. Not because it made her happy he was really nervous, but...maybe he knew he could trust her? She was about to say something when the next thing he said made her eyebrows shoot up a little in surprise. He had watched the tryouts? Oh, she got this really weird feeling...like she wanted to hug him or something. Even though they had...fought...he still wanted to see her? Or no... not her, the tryouts, ofcourse. Right? WHAT!? He wasn't going?! All her cuddly feeling went out the window. "Heeey, why not?? You have to go!" She exclaimed. Argh, Miranda wanted to seeeeeeee him play! "You shouldn't be nervous, I'm sure you will do great Oliver." She reached out her hand and put it on his arm. Beaters arm fo sho. She smirked a little, trying to lighten the air. "Want me to give you some tips?" Her eyebrow raised at him. Not that he needed tips. He was probably way better than her on a broom.
"Mhm!" Miranda nodded matter-of-factly. She hadn't really let her mind register the fact then, when she was 'battling' it, but she'd been glad to see the beast. It had reminded her of Oliver... "But don't worry, we kicked it's butt-" Excuse you!? "Three- THREE ButterFliEs!?" She gaped. Those things were huge. Like... bigger than her hand. Actually three times her hand size. She sipped her butterbeer, thinking. Hang on."How come there are two more?" Her eyes narrowed. Hehe.

Even through his slight surprise, Jake heard Tibi spluttering his butterbeer, probably in shock, and the boy reached over to pat the boy on the back.
Better out than in, as they say.
Jake was, in fact, almost recovered when a sudden shout reached his ears, making him jump and slosh a little butterbeer onto the table.

Staring around in shock at the barkeeper, Jake was amused at the offence taken by the man. Jeez, someone was a little touchy.
Bwaha.
"Oh, shuh-shut up," the boy jeered, finally sobering up a little after the kiss.
It was only a kiss on the cheek, after all.

So....now came the somewhat awkward silence part she couldn't stand.
"What sort of things do you do that don't relate to school?" she questioned. She did a lot of things that related no where to it.

Tibi... didn't like this girl. Particularly after she got all snippy with him about 'scarring him for life.' He had been surprised was all. Though there was something... No. Tibi shook the thought from his head.
Nursing what was left of his butterbeer, he sat silently across the table from them. This was... awkward. Awkward awkward awkward.
Maybe he should... go.
Sip. Sipsipsip.

She sipped her butterbeer, thinking. Hang on."How come there are two more?" Her eyes narrowed. Hehe.
Oliver laughed and then fell silent as he thought about the question. Hmmm... What would he take? He looked up to the side while he pondered this and then looked back at Miranda. “I would have said my broom but I think maybe I would miss music too much.. so my Ipod... and somewhere to charge it.” He smiled.
No muggle chocolate. Not good. There was fat chance of his dad sending him any. Maybe he could ask his oldest muggle wannabe brother. “Well chocolate frogs are pretty good too.” He nodded. “Hey.. I bet you have all the cards you eat so many.” Some of those cards had to be worth something. They were like real collecters items. Miranda could very possibly be sitting on a small gold mine and not know it.
He listened to her as she explained about her upbringing. So she lived with muggles? That was cool. Oliver wished he did still. “That's cool.” He nodded. “Your dad must be pretty cool.” Open-minded, tolerant – all the things his own dad wasn't. He drank a little more of his sugary butterbeer, unaware that his foot had begun tapping a rhythm under the table. Phew.. was it getting hot in here? He pulled off his hoody and hung in on the back of his seat. “My mum and me used to live in London. I even went to a muggle school before I went to live with my dad and went to Durmstrang. Is your dad, like, completely pureblood?” Was that too personal a question? Some wizarding folk were a bit tetchy on the subject of blood... even the most tolerant ones.
He looked at Miranda sheepishly and was relieved that she didn't laugh in his face when he admitted he was petrified. He shrugged. “I dunno. Cold feet I guess.” Or.. because he was a yellow bellied chicken. Urgh. This was a first for Oliver and he didn't like it... not one little bit. “I'll go.” He said looking back at his drink. “But I'm giving the first one a miss.” The beginnings of a pout started on his face so he picked up his drink and took a few gulps almost finishing it, before it formed completely. “Your faith in me is appreciated, Miranda. But I'm not sure it's just.” He looked at her and smiled at her offer of help. The badger way, eh? “No. I'm fine. Thanks.” He moved his arm and gave her hand a quick squeeze as if to say thanks before he quickly withdrew.
He grinned at her. “It... attacked you?” Woah.. that image was too funny not to let out a warm laugh. “Y-you didn't kill it, did you?” He asked her warily. Those beasts were freaky and hella creepy but they didn't deserve to be splattered with a Beaters Bat. Urgh. “I was practising the spell like Pilliwinkle said, and managed to conjure two more. I can't even get a bloody simple right.”

Reese peeked inside the awful smelling place that was named The Hog's Head. She couldn't believe this place was now opened to students! Her eyes scanned the area before fully stepping inside the room and closing the door behind her. Right now, she could be at Puddifoot's right now eating some delicious cheesecake or at Honeydukes getting some chocolate frogs, but her curiosity got the best of her and she wanted to check out the place that had been off limits to the students for some time. Though, she kind of wished that she didn't go by herself after seeing everyone in the room seemed to be with someone. Ah, well. It wasn't her fault everyone she had asked didn't want to go to the creepy place with her.
She headed over to the man behind the bar. "Excuse me. I would like one butterbeer," she said with a little smile before sitting her purse on the counter. She had money, but she was the guy was going to have to show her the butterbeer before he got her money.

WHY was he here again?
Jack had originally thought it was a good idea to go in here instead of the Three Broomsticks, because that place was always so PACKED on weekends, but now that he was actually here, and he saw the state of the place....BLEGHHHH. He should just turn around now.
And then, shower. Gah this place was SO GROSS.
However, as soon as he entered the place, he saw one very familiar back of someone's head. It was Reese! Grinning, he walked up to the bar next to her. "Make that two please!" he said, taking out his money. If Reese thought she was paying for her butterbeer she was CRAZYYY.

Thalia smiled softly. "Good," she said to him. "And yeah, I sort of figured that out," she added, glancing back at the bar guy.
So....now came the somewhat awkward silence part she couldn't stand.
"What sort of things do you do that don't relate to school?" she questioned. She did a lot of things that related no where to it.
Okay, yeah... Jake glared one last time over at the barkeep before he'd decided he'd definitely had his fill by now. With a little smile on his face, Jake rolled the bottle of butterbeer between the palms of his hands.
"I... like..." Jake pondered for a moment. Could Quidditch count as school related? It definitely was school-related, but it was the only thing he liked now, since drawing made him tired. "Quidditch. Whuhh-what ab-about y-"
And at that moment, as a chink of light shone into the pub, Jake froze.
Because his sister had just entered.
With her boyfriend.

Maybe he should... go.
Sip. Sipsipsip.
Staring vaguely over at his sister who, knowing his luck, would look over here and assume things about this girl and himself (would it be an assumption? Was Jake bothered... the girl was so pretty...), Jake looked around at Tibi.
It would be wise to make an escape at some point... wouldn't it? He still had more to do...
And he didn't want to start a fght with Jack.
Yet.
"Whuhh-what was th-that about yyyyou wanting a nuhh-new quill?" he asked the young boy, keeping his voice vague. "We guhh-gotta get it soon if yuhh-you wwwwanna be buhh-back at the cccastle soon."
Please don't let Reese see... Please don't let Reese see...
Tibi looked up from his butterbeer, eyes wide in understanding (or so he thought). He nodded slowly, placing his mug down on the table.
"You're right. I almost forgot. We should go." He was also vague, assuming this was an escape from random!girl at the table and the kissy stuff.
"It was nice meeting you," he said, straining to sound polite as he faced the girl. "Gotta run, though."
Tibi made for the door, turning to make sure that Jake was following.
Woah, woah, woah.
They were leaving now.
...
But Jake hadn't finished his free butterbeer.
The boy raised the bottle to his lips and downed the rest of it, glad that he'd made the most of his coupon from Tate or the Gryffindor girl, whoever this ended up being from. With an apologetic smile and small wave to the preeeeeetty girl, Jake pushed himself up from the table and hurried over to join Tibi.

However, as soon as he entered the place, he saw one very familiar back of someone's head. It was Reese! Grinning, he walked up to the bar next to her. "Make that two please!" he said, taking out his money. If Reese thought she was paying for her butterbeer she was CRAZYYY.
The more Reese looked at the glasses and whatnot that were in the room, the more she realized how dirty this place was. She really should have went to Madame Puddifoot's. "Make sure there's no spiders or dust in my glass," she added as she looked back at the barkeeper. She honestly didn't want to leave this place nauseated. That wouldn't make for a good Hogsmeade weekend.
Make that two please? As soon as she heard those words, she raised an eyebrow and turned her attention to the guy standing beside her. JACK! "You know that I could buy them," she pointed out when she noticed the money in her boyfriend's hands.
Upon hearing the door open, she turned around to see her brother and her brother's friend (who she had currently forgot the name of the guy) running off. Hmmmm. "I wonder what made them rush out of here," she thought out loud. It wouldn't be because Reese had entered the place, would it be? Of course not! Why would Jake run away from her?
"So, what brings you into the Hog's Head?" She asked Jack. "Were you just curious or...just wanted to see me?" That was always an option.

"Well, the Three Broomsticks was too crowded...I'm really glad you're here though," he said with a grin. He was going to add that seeing her there really brightened up the place but he didn't want to insult the bartender.

Did... butterbeer contain sugar?
Tibi continued to the door, glad Jake was following after. Putting a hand on it, he felt a little bad about just up and leaving the girl, so he turned back and gave an awkward half-wave and smile before turning back and pulling open the door to head, well, wherever it was they were headed.

She curiously watched Oliver as she took another sip of the butterbeer. For a place that looked so dirty, the drink was quite refreshing and it tasted new. And hopefully it was. Ah, music. But... She frowned. "What's an...Eye Po...ut?"Eh? Was it a muggle thing? It better not be magical or else Miranda would panic about not actually paying attention to that sort of stuff.
Pffft, ofcourse they are. Miranda nodded aswell. The cards?"Oh, yeah... I kind of do..." Heh! "But I don't really pay much attention to them...it's the chocolate I'm after. Hehe." She shrugged and smiled mischeviously. "Do you collect them? You can have the one's I've got." Miranda said nonchalantly. The cards were collected inside a little shoe box currently in her trunk.
Miranda pursed her lips thoughtfully and shrugged. "I dunno...I guess he is... I mean he's my dad. Nothing special." It's no big deal, it was just her dad. She glanced at him as he took off his hoodie. Miranda was sort of chilly, the Hog's Head wasn't exactly a warm place. Hmmm.
So Oliver lived in London. That must've been really cool. Miranda and her family only went there a few times... like holyday-ing. Hehe. But...he didn't live with his mother then? The way he told made her get the idea that the boy now only lived with his father. She chewed the inside of her cheek. "Oh, that's cool. Must've been nice living in the capital. There are so many awesome things there... I'd like to live there one day..."
Pureblood..."Yes...or atleast I think he is." She smiled softly. "How about yours? Or was it your mother who was pureblooded?" Ack! She couldn't remember... Bad, Miranda!
Cold feet. Yes, Miranda knew that feeling quite well. "Ah..." She nodded and raised her bottle to drink some more. She'd been having cold feet ever since her Captains badge arrived. "Good!" She smiled broader as he answered that he would be going, but it surprised her when he said he would skip it. She totally understood, but she would've hoped Oliver would've gone anyways. "Why?" she asked, looking at him seriously.
And what is up with the 'I'm not worthy' act he got now? Now she was confused. "Why do you say that?" Did he think he wasn't worth it or something?
She held her bottle with both her hands now, and pursed her lips amused at the butterfly talk. "Yesss..." Well it came right at her... That was a sort of attack, right? OR maybe it just wanted to cuddle? Uh oh. Kill it!? Miranda made a grimace of disbelief. "No! Ofcourse not. I just...squirted some water at it." And it totally worked. Unless it just made the thing even more madder and it was like...rounding up its troops now for another attack wave. Ah, Pilliwickle!"Sheesh, you're going for the maximum points, aren't you?" she chuckled. But gosh, this boy had a pretty low confidence... What, really? No, that can't be. He always seemed so...over confident. Heh.

Reese rested against the side of the counter. "You wouldn't be a normal boyfriend if you let me buy my own drink," she replied. That was the answer he was looking for, right? People did want to be normal or at least try to be normal - most people did anyways. "Yeah yeah yeah," she said after Jack kissed her on the cheek. "Though, next time..." She stopped herself there, because she knew Jack would probably buy her drinks next time they went somewhere. This was just a losing battle.
"Teary kid," she repeated. Wait... that's wasn't right. It took her a second until it hit her on what Jack truly said his name was. TIBI! Oh, that's what the kid's name was. "Right, my memory is coming back to me now. My brother hangs around him a lot," she stated the facts if it wasn't obvious already that the Tibi kid and Jake hung out a lot. "Why do you think they left early? You don't think the drinks are that bad, do you?" She curiously asked.
"The Three Broomsticks is alwayssss crowded," she said. "It's like the Leaky Cauldron." Gah! She remember how crowded it was when her and Jack had their first date there. "I'm really glad YOUR here," she replied. "Now I'm not lonely." If Jack wasn't here, she would probably end up by herself in one of the tables, which wouldn't be cool at all.

Resting a hand on his nervous stomach (what if SHE was out there still?) Jake kind of shunted Tibi out, moving along behind the kid and letting the door close behind them.
She curiously watched Oliver as she took another sip of the butterbeer. For a place that looked so dirty, the drink was quite refreshing and it tasted new. And hopefully it was. Ah, music. But... He always seemed so...over confident. Heh.
Oliver laughed. “An Eye Po..ut..”Ahem. “..I mean, an Ipod is a small device that plays music. You listen to it on headphones. Here...” he reached into his pocket and pulled out his trusty old mp3 player and passed it to Miranda. “That is an Ipod. Shame it doesn't work in this world. Too much electricity in the air I think.” From all that magic.. or something.
His eyes went wide at the thought of that stash of chocolate frog cards. And she was offering to give it to him!? Did Miranda not know what she had there? It had to be worth at least a muggle grand if she had a good collection. He nodded slowly. “Y-yeah. I collect them.” He lied. More lies.. Oh Merlin. “Er.. if you don't want them then yeah. Thanks, Miranda.” Should he tell her? She probably already knew.. but why would she be giving them away in that case? Oliver shook his head, silencing the invisible angel and devil on his shoulders having their annoying little debate. “That's really generous of you. Thanks” He raised his bottle as if in a toast, clinked it with Miranda's, and took a gulp.
...What a git he could be sometimes.
Oliver wasn't used to sitting still for so long and the sugar in the drink wasn't helping his mild ADHD. He tugged at the front of his t-shirt, then forced himself to focus on Miranda but the foot tapping became heavier. She seemed a little dismissive of her father – that was odd. Daughters and their dad's were usually close especially if you were the only girl. Then her question came and the subconscious foot tapping ceased. “My mum's a half-blood.” He explained. “It's my dad who's the pureblood.”Insanely pureblood. He sighed and studied his bottle of butterbeer. Why was family so damn complicated?
He grimaced a bit at her blunt 'why'.. see this was why it was easier to make a joke of everything. People didn't ask such questions when you were acting like an idiot. “I just don't feel up to it.” He opted for the easy reply. “My arm's been acting up and I can't... you know, bat.” Urgh. How he hated himself right now. He shook his head at her next question to indicate that was the end of it. He had no reasons other than he was a coward.. and afraid of failure. She would probably laugh at him. He locked eyes with her. “The team will just have to wait until I'm ready to join them.” He gave her a cocky response complete with smirk. Guh.
He was more than relieved for the change of subject and the topic of the monster butterflies was light-hearted and funny. “Could have practised what old Professor Duskurk showed us last lesson.” He winked to let her know that this was indeed a joke... just in case she didn't get that. “Did it actually fly onto the pitch and disturb play?” He asked wide eyed. Oh ho ho. “Perhaps I could train all three of them to invade the pitch and bother the opposition when Slytherin are playing.” he laughed. “Fly my pretties.. FLY!!” He cackled evilly before it morphed into a highly amused infectious laugh. “Maximum points?” He asked bewildered. “Pilliwinkle might have lost a few of her marbles but I don't think the point of the exercise was to create monster butterflies.” He pointed out with a grin.
Samuel watched the young kid head back to his table and then to his utter amazement he watched the girl lean over and kiss him.
This girl was not going to go away was she? Samuel wanted to beat his head repeatedly against the counter top.
How did he get rid of her?
"Look. Little girl you have your butterbeer, just give me the money and be on your way. If you want clean glasses and friendly atmosphere then you are in the wrong place."
That was being nice.
Right?
W.O.W. Hello, Mr. Cranky.
It was so SWEET that there were people doing MUSHY STUFF in this creepy place. He should be happy! Hmph. However, since it did not concern the redhead, she ignored it.
What happened next DID concern her, however.
LITTLE girl?
Madiison looked down at herself and pouted, clearly displeased with said bartender. Sure, she was on the short side, but she was no little girl! She was thiirteeeeeeen! She was a teeeeen! Closer to being of age than she had ever been before. Only four years to go.
...
Wow. ONLY four years to go?
O___o
Madiison frowned. It wasn't that she was ignoring him, but the redhead was faaaar to busy with assessing her life so far to pay much attention to the man in front of her. Hmm. Four years. And then she could TOTALLY get back at her brother in more creative ways.
Teehehehee.
And then she remembered the OTHER thing that had been bothering her.
"But that is not the poiiiint!" The girl claimed, fixing her big, blue-gray eyes on him. "And I am NOT paying until I get a clean glass." HMPH. Take thaaaaat, bartender. "Please?"
Of course the girl COMPLETELY forgot about the vouchers.
Besides, if there was no clean glass, she'd have to drink right out of the bottle.
And that sounded liiiiiike fun was unladylike. And Madiison was a little girl lady.

Samuel was just reaching behind the counter to retrieve yet another bottle of butterbeer when another voice came along and wanted yet another one. He cursed under his breath as he grabbed another bottle and thumped them onto the counter.
And just as he was about to ask for his money, the two lovebirds were being...BLAH!! Samuel made a retching noise to get their attention off each other and he held out his hand.
"If you two are finished making goo-goo eyes at each other. Do ya think ya can give me my money now" he said glaring at the two of them and wishing that the three broomsticks wasn't crowded.

What in Merlin's name was this girl thinking about? Her eyes seemed to have a glazed look and she was staring at Merlin only knew what?
And she still had the hide to ask for a clean glass. Samuel pursed his lips as he stared at the 'little' girl.
She wasn't going to go away, was she?
He picked up the glass and tossed it into the rubbish bin and then took out a new one. Samuel made a great show cleaning the glass properly, using his wand of course because there was no way Samuel did things muggle style.
With a flourish he placed the glass down in front of her and then popped the top of butterbeer and poured it into the glass and he slid the glass over to her.
Thalia was about to respond but then the boys' bid her farewell just as one of her Slytherin Prefects walked in with...possibly if she was correct...the Head Boy? Did Jake know one of these people? Oh well. She would talk to him some other time. There would be plenty of opportunities. She stood up and left Hog's Head. Maybe she could find Cesar or Jude. Even Nikki or one of her cousins.
Miranda listened intently at the explanation of what that Eye thingy was, and kind of stared at the thing when Oliver took it out. Her face got a little frown of concentration as she inspected it and wondered what you did with that stuff that hung from it. It was like a thin string. Did you like...plug it in somewhere? Oh ew, did Oliver plug this into his arm or somethign? No that would be weird. Gosh, dangit Miranda. You should know this things!
Aw, it didn't work... "Oh...this looks cool." She said and turned it over in her hands before giving it back to the boy.
Sip sip sip. And then a burp escaped her. "Oh, sorry!" She covered her mouth and looked shocked. Well...she did burp, like whatever, but not infront of people. Ah, Oliver did collect that stuff. "Okay, then they are yours." She nodded and drank some more. She rubbed her hands together, but then raised her bottle when he 'toasted'. "Cheers!" Hehehe.
It was weird, but something was sort of making her stressed. Was it the drink, the cold or the weird...situation that these two were in? But there was this...beat...going on and on and on... What is that!? Seriously, it sounded like a clock ticking - and Miranda did NOT like the sound of ticking! She glanced at Oliver and could see that he was sort of looking like he was going to...twitch, or something. She wondered if he was allright, but maybe it was just boredom. Maybe he was bored. Heh. But... "Oh that's cool. Like mine then." She smiled happily and took another sip.
Ah... Good answer. But she wondered if it was thruthful or...a complete one. His arm? "You should go check it out with the Nurse." Quidditch injuries to Miranda, was as serious as... You got hurt and chances were you weren't going to be able to play again. She shuddered at the thought. A lige WITHOUT Quidditch! GASP! And then his usual cocky self was present, and Miranda was sort of...relieved? She chuckled. "Hah!" She looked at him with one eyebrow raised. And then cloinked her bottle against his. "That's the spirit!" Hehehe.
Miranda gaped. Gaped bigger and longer than she'd ever done around this boy. Seriously. Had he gotten over that lesson already? Miranda was still grimacing whenever she thought about it... specially if she thought of their quarrel at the lake. But but but, she tried to be as light about it aswell. Buuuut gosh, no, she couldn't. "I wonder what he's going to teach us next class...maybe the killing curse. Now that would be fascinating." It was sarcasm. Just hope Oliver got that.
Did it fly into the pitch and try to eat them!?"Yes!" She exclaimed and then proceeded to put a hand right infront of the boys face, like this close to touching his nose. "It was all up on our faces, and I was like 'Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?' , and then it went all flappity-flap, and then I was like," she removed the hand and started arguing with an invisible butterbeast, " 'Hey you better not mess with the Badgers or you gonna get some butt a-whoopin'!' and then I squirted the beastie!" There, job done. Bahaha!
"Omygosh...you mean like instead of a Parseltounge...you'd be a... Buttertounge?" She blinked. Somehow that name didn't sound as cool. Though, it would be totally awesome if he'd be able to talk to them. She laughed with Oliver, though the boy totally seemed a bit more hyped up. "Aw, Pilliwickle is wonderful. I think she might have added a few marbles. She seems alot more enthusiastic than most Professors. Aw, granny Pilliwickle."Squiggle.
"Now princess, can I have my money...please?"
Madiison knew that look, the look she was currently receiving from the bartender. She KNEW it. He was staring at her.
STARING.
Now, there were two possible reasons behind the staring. One, he thought she was crazy and, two, he thought she was crazy. Which, in itself, was an insane thought. She was not crazy. Claiming that Madiison Alyssa Winloch was crazy was like saying that the sun rose in the east west.
Which it did not.
Blue-gray eyes followed the said glass as the wizard in front of her tossed it away into the bin and cleaned up a new one, wondering why this place was so dirty anyways. He had magic, he could USE it to clean it up.
...
GASPETH!
Maybe he wasn't a wizard! He could be a SQUIB!
See, now if she hadn't taken the chance and stepped into this place she would never have figured it out. GRIN.
... Or be called a PRINCESS, whyhellotherebartender&niceperson!
GIIIIIIIIIGGLE. She was a PRINCESS.
"Of course!" Di exclaimed.
A huuuuuuuuuge smile followed although there was a part of her telling her he was only being satirical. Instead she gave him another one of her bright, shiny and oh so cute smiles before digging her hands into her pretty red wallet to search for the money. Out came a galleon and three sickles.
Behaving so much like the lady she was, Madiison placed the galleon on the table, next to her (clean) glass and the bottle of butterbeer, before pressing her lips together and thoughtfully looking at the bartender.
She LIKED him, Madiison did, despite the spit-in-the-glass and the ghastly condition -OHEMGEEE she could FEEL the dust in her air tube- of this pub. So the girl placed one of the three sickles in her hand on the counter next to the galleon.
She WOULD have placed the other two on there too but then the bartender HAD spat in her glass and been rather RUDE at first.
And there was also the liiiiittle point nagging her brain. A point that told her that he was actually being smart-alecky.
Speaaaking of something nagging her brain. "Can I ask you something." He HAD to be nice to her! She had tipped him! Besides, she was curious.
