Pierre was wandering around the grounds. He really enjoyed being outside and was not ready for winter to come. He loved being in the snow, but he couldn't stand the cold that winter brought with it. He sighed as he took a deep breath and walked passed the gate. He was walking with his eyes closed. He hoped he didn't run into anything or anyone that might run passed.

Having just waken from a nap, Arya was full of energy. And what way better to get ride of all her excess energy than to be outside. She was walking on her hands to see how long she could keep up the charade, with Perseus walking around her exploring the gate while waiting for her to fall. Being upside down, she was unable to see the boy walking with his eyes closed directly infront of her. Once they finally reached each other, her hand landed his foot and she went tumbling forward knocking them both to the ground with her on top. Grining she sat up on the boys chest, looking him in the eyes. "Are you alright?"

Pierre was so into walking outside, he was completely shocked when a girl had knocked him over. He opened his eyes and saw her sitting on his chest. "Yes, I'm fine. Can you please get off of me?" He was rather angry at being knocked over and when he was angry, his French accent was even more apparant.

Her cheery disposition faltering somewhat, Arya rolled off the boy and stood up. As she rose Perseus strolled over and hoped into her arms, glaring at the boy. She didn't know why he seemed so angry, it was just an aciddent after all. Seeing as she had never been to France, she didn't recognize his accent. All she knew was that he was grumpy and not American. She tilted her head to the side while stroking her kitten, "I'm sorry, didn't mean to fall on you. I'm Arya."

Pierre stood up and brushed his clothes off. He watched as her cat strolled over and jumped into the girl's arms. He wiped the glare off his face and tried to make himself seem nicer, even though he was still pretty angry at the fact that he had been knocked over. "It's all right. I'm Pierre. It's nice to meet you Arya. Aside from the fact that you kinda fell on me." He smirked slightly, realizing he probably shouldn't stay angry at this girl who had to be quite a bit younger than him.

Now that all seemed forgivin Arya's smile reappeared, giggling at his comment. However being lessdeceivable the the young girl Perseus continued to glare at Pierre, noticing this Arya placed the kitten in her hood before turning back to Pierre. "Pierre...never heard that name before. Where are you from?" She moved closer to the gate until she was able to intertwine herself with it, carefull not to squish her kitten.

Pierre watched as a smile returned to Arya's face. He then watched as she put her cat in her hood. He had never seen someone do that before, but the cat seemed to enjoy it. "I'm from a small village called Talmont in France. I just moved here this term."

"Talmont..."She mused as she began to slowly swing sideways from the gate. She studied the Pierre, he looked alot older than her, more than the other older students she had meet. "I'm from America. We don't plan on moving, why did you?"There was no way her mom would move away from the ranch her father left her.

Pierre studied Arya as she swayed side to side near the gate. It kind of reminded him of Ziva who could hardly ever sit still. Then the question came that almost everyone asked upon meeting him. "My father got a job at the Ministry here meaning a move for us."

For some unknown reason Pierre fascinated Arya. His father's job in the Ministry didn't matter to her, she wanted to know more about his hometown."So what was his previous job? What was Talmont like?" As she shot the questions at him she continued to swing from the gate.

Pierre let out an audible sigh. "Well, he used to work at the ministry in France, but then he got transferred to the same department here. Talmont is a rather small village with farms and such. It's really pretty and a lot different from the city." He let out another sigh as he realized how much he missed the country.

Swinging from the gate was nolonger satisfying her energy needs. Placing Perseus on the ground she watched the little kitten scurry up the nearest tree with a small smirk. He wasn't to happy about swinging from the gate and she knew he wouldn't come down on his own. She went back to handstands, this time in place. "It sounds nice. I always like the country better than the city."She had more questions about his hometown but didn't want to press Pierre as it seemed to sadden him. Every few moments she would atempt to balance herself on one hand before quickly bringing the other hand back to the ground.

Mina nodded as she listened. It didn't look that hard when she saw the others playing it, but then again she wasn't really paying attention to the game. "Sounds simple enough, but we'll see how I do if they play it again." she shrugged. She remembered seeing the colors and it just dawned on her that they were like the house colors. Red, Blue Green, and Yellow. How funny was that?

"Oh it is." Carter said. "So... looks like you've been learning all sorts of muggle things." he said. It was weird to him that a pureblood would be talking about football and twister. But he liked it. He felt like this just deepened everything they could talk about.

Pierre watched as Arya swung from the gate. She seemed to be a very strange young girl, but he would not say something like that outloud. She placed her cat down and Pierre chuckled as it scampered up a nearby tree. He turned back to Arya to find her doing handstands. He was in total shock by her skill. "Woah. How did you learn how to do handstands that well?" He was really amazed by her talent.

To keep from falling, Arya rolled forward and sat with her legs crossed. She shrugged her shoulders at Pierre, a little taken back by his shock at her skills. She was so used to being back home where everyone knew about her talents that it always sliped her mind that not many knew about them here. "I've been doing gymnastics since I was little."Forgeting she was still little. She stood up and went back to her handstands. "I guess now that I'm at Hogwarts I won't be doing it anymore."The thought saddened her a little, gymnastics competitions was something she looked forward to.

Pierre was shocked. She seemed like she had been doing this for a long tmie and he wasn't shocked to learn that she had. "That's amazing. The only thing I'm really good at is school stuff. I mean, I like football, or soccer as Americans call it, but I'm not that great at it." He was saddened along with her. He realized how he would feel if he couldn't read his books. "Why not? I mean you might not be able to compete, but you can still practice and such."

"I love soccer, I'm sure your better than you think."She stated simply, with all the innocence of a child. As she continued to walk on her hands she would glance at the tree Perseus was in every few minutes just to see him sitting on a tree limb staring back at her."That's true...I guess I'll just miss the competitons."Arya smiled at him, she could tell he was trying to help."So what else do you do for fun?"Surely he did more than just play soccer.

Pierre chuckled. "I'm fine at kicking it around and running with it, but when it comes to aiming for a goal, I'm absolutely horrible. I have the worst aim you could imagine." He smield back at Arya. She still had her child-like innocence, or so it seemed like it, he thought that was how it should be and you should keep your innocence as long as possible. He though long and hard about her last question. "Not much really. I tend to read a lot, but I'm one of the only people I know that likes to read for fun."

He was right about that, Arya knew no one who liked to read for fun. Sure she would read ocasionally, but she didn't have the attention span to sit still that long. Most of her siblings except her little brother Peter seemed to read for fun, but he had just learned and she was sure it would pass. "What do you like to read?"She had no idea why she asked the question, it wasn't like she would go and read the books herself. But it couldn't hurt to ask, maybe she already read some of the books yea right.

Pierre tried to think. "Anything fiction really. Except science fiction." He made a really disgusted looking face. "I especially love mysteries." Pierre could stand here and talk about most of the books he had read. He didn't want to do that because he had a feeling that that would bore Arya and he was kind of enjoying the company.

"So you don't like Lord of the Rings?"It had taken almost a year but, her parents and big brother had read the triology to her every night before bed after she fell in love with the movie. It was the only series she knew of, everything else came from the sunday comics. She was starting to get bored of being by the gate, but didn't want to leave Pierre. She liked talking to him, maybe I could take drag him with me.

Mina smiled and nodded. She really had been learning a lot about muggle things lately and she was enjoying it. Maybe her cousin was wearing off on her more than she thought. "Yeah, it's kind of strange, but you know I like learning about it. It's so interesting and I'm sure my interest in all things muggle bothers some of my family, but I'm not really like them." she said as she thought about it. Her father did always say she was different and she never did like to follow behind her sister. His little rebel bookworm.

Carter laughed. "Well I know a thing or two about muggles." he said in a mock-show-off voice. "I'd be happy to explain everything you might be interested in."

Pierre shook his head. "I mean, it's all right, but not one of my first choices." He had read the first few chapters and threw the book on the ground. He couldn't even stand it. He noticed that Arya was starting to look bored. "If you're bored, you can leave you know."
