Well that sounds pretty easy, I think I should be able to handle kicking a ball into a net." 'Yeah, I can handle it as long as no one tries to knock me over.' Boy was Evan going to be surprised when he found out she actually knew a little more about the game before he even started teaching her. "So, is there anything else that I might need to know before I actually try playing this game? I know Evan said he would teach me everything but I don't want to look like I know nothing at all."
Thumbing through her book she started looking for technical words that might jump out at her, something that might impress Evan if he heard her say them and impress him even more when he realized she knew what they meant.

"Yeah i know a little bit about it i think. I'm a pureblood my family doesn't aprove much of muggle things" said Violet

"hmmm, well if you kick the ball back behind the goal or outside of the area you're playing in, the opposite team that kicked it punts it back in. A punt is where you hold the ball out in front of you and drop it so you can kick it. I think that's the only time you can touch it with your hands. Unless you're the one guarding the goal, then you're allowed to touch it. I didn't get your name by the way." Nicoletta finished. She layed back on the bed and placed Luna by her arm. The nurse told her she needed to rest. Talking is resting, isn't it?

"Me too, my parents let me do almost anything I want as long as it isn't muggle. I wouldn't even be trying to figure this out now if it wasn't for Evan. He seemed a little sad when I told him I didn't know anything about the game so I decided to try and learn something about it."

'Whoa, this girl is a walking encyclopedia here' Marie thought as she listened to everything trying to remember it all. "Okay, so basically you want to make sure it goes in the goal so the other team doesn't take it away from you?" Sounded easy enough, but would it be so easy once she was playing against Evan? Probably not.
"Oh sorry, I'm Marie by the way, second year here at Hogwarts. What about you? How did you learn so much about this game?"

"Oh well i don't really want to learn stuff about muggle family's" said Violet with a smirk

"Pretty much. Nice to meet you, I'm Nicoletta. I'm also a second
year. Ehh, I come from a pureblood family but my older brothers like
to go to town and mess with the muggles. He got them to teach him how to play. Then he acted like he was really terrible. It was quite funny actually." she explained. Luna had fallen asleap by her arm.

"You should give it a try sometime, muggles actually have some pretty interesting things." Not that Marie really knew about many of them herself. What she did know she learned mostly from Muggle Studies last term.
"Well hi Nicoletta, nice to meet you too. Sounds like you had a lot of fun with your brothers. Do they go to school here too?" Not having any siblings Marie had only her parents to do things with, that is until she went to Hogwarts herself. Now she was finally making some frineds that were like her. Friends she didn't have to worry about finding out that she was a witch.

Nicoletta laughed. "Nah they graduated a few years ago. I've also got a twin sister, but she goes to Beauxbatons. Personally, I'm not big on most muggle stuff." Nicoletta stopped to sit up and put Luna on her lap. The sleeping pygmy puff didn't stir. Huh, heavy sleeper. she thought to herself. "Yeah Matt and Grayson can be alright. Matt knocked me off my broom over the summer with a bludger. Broke three ribs, an ankel, and my left arm. I had to go to the nurse once I got here." she smiled and held her arm and ankel out. "I'm all better now. Bit sleepy 'cuz of the potion though. How 'bout you Violet, feeling better?"

"Um ok" said Violet not convinced then muttered so hopefully marie couldn't hear "Doubt it"

"Ouch, sounds like it was a rough game" she said as she looked at Nicoletta's arm and ankle. "Was the healer able to fix everything for you so you can try out for the quidditch team? Well I mean that is if you were planning on trying out. I guess I shouldn't just assume you are going to try out just because you played with your brothers over the summer." Quidditch, another sport Marie didn't play, but this one she knew about, just didn't play.
"You know, maybe you should get some sleep, you look almost as sleepy as your little pigmy puff there."
Looking over at Violet, Marie heard her mumble something but didn't catch what she said. 'Must not have been important.'
"So, do you play quidditch?" Marie hoped that Violet would become more talkative if they weren't talking about muggle stuff.

"Yeah I'm much better. Oh yes, I'm still trying out." she yawned. " I'm hoping for beater. Ironic I got knocked off my broom by a bludger. Usually I'm great at hitting bludgers. I've got good aim too." at the mention of Luna, Nicoletta looked down. "I guess she's had a big day, usually she's really energetic. I think I can stay awake for a little while longer."

"Yeah i've been playing since i was 3 years old" said Violet

"Wow! Me too. Have you got a favorite position?" Nicoletta asked. "I think the potion's getting to me, I'm going to sleep.". Nicoletta picked up her sleeping pygmy puff and placed her on the small magenta pillow inside her cage. Nicoletta pulled the covers up to her chin and let the potion pull her into a lazy sleep like state.

Iris sat up, sighing. It was really early in the morning and she couldn't sleep.

This wan't natural - the sun wasn't even up yet! She should still be snoring!

But no.

She was wide awake.

She looked at the clock on her bedside table (which also had Fallon's local time on) and noticed that it was probably pretty late over there. Maybe Fallon would be around to chat. She climbed out of bed and walked over to her suitcase and took out the piece of fancy parchment, only to see that it already had a message on it:

Iris took the parchment and her quill and sat on her bed again. She smiled sadly at the parchment as she read what Fallon had written, then began to reply.

Hi Fallon! Awww, that really does suck. It sounds so unfair ... Except for the no uniform bit, that would probably be good to have.

So far, nothing much has happened. Did I tell you about the french guy I met in diagon alley? I don't know ... I can't remember. hehe, Either way. He's called Pierre and he's pretty cool. And Jimbo. He's in our house, he's pretty cool too. I gave him the nickname Jimbo. muaha. Lessons are the same as ever, pretty uneventful. There's LOADS of new teachers though... an Bontecou's gone. I don't know where though, I don't think he was fired though.

OoooH!!! On a brighter note, I figured out how to put pictures on these things, It took me the best part of a fortnight to get it right, but I got there in the end. All you have to do is put the picture on the parchment and tap it with your wand, and it merges it into the intstant owl. Pretty clever, huh? I'll have to teach Aaron how to use it properly though - I don't really want him to set his parchment alight, mainly because I don't know if it would transfer the fire like a message or not. Which Wouldn't be good. hhhehe.

Nicoletta woke up. She checked her watch. I've been asleep fooooorrrr.... Ten hours. Okay that's not bad. She wasn't tiers anymore though and Luna looked like she was up. Nicoletta opened her cage and Luna started squeeling. "Shhhh! You'll wake everyone up!" she said in a loud whisper. The Pygmy Puff appeared to have understood because she was suddenly quiet. "Good girl. You hungry?" Luna squeeled her reply. She found Luna some more dried fruit and fed it to her. Now I'm hungry. she thought.

Violet woke up she must have fell asleep she saw something furry in the one of the beds next to her and gave a jump "AAAH what is that?!" Violet was suprised she never saw it before...

Iris looked at the to younger girls talking on the other side of the room, whilst she waited for Fallon to respond.

She read through it all a couple of times before writing back:

I wish you were here too - It feels like I've not got any girl mates anymore because I can't talk to you dead late at night... Satine and Wesley have both been really awesome though. Satine misses you loads, too.

I don't know where Bontecou's gone... He has literally just gone *poof* vanish. Yeah, the new Headmaster is called Galilean (I think) Tate. I don't like him. He's not a very enthusiastic headmaster.

Oooh! Yeah, you'll definately have to do that - I really want to see what they all look like. Aye, it would. He already has, apparently. A pair of socks, when his trunk broke getting off the train. The boy needs a lot of help. hehe.

Iris put her quill down and 'chu-chuh'd' Luna over while the message sent to Fallon. "hey there girl, Where've you been?" She asked the cat as she purred away happily.

"Calm down Violet!" Nicoletta laughed at her surprise. "It's just a Pygmy Puff. Her name's Luna." Nicoletta pulled on her navy blue sweatshirt.

"Why would you buy that thing?" said Violet shocked

Elizabeth walked in nervously wondering what life was about to hand to her. She looked around and walked over to Violet who was talking to Nicoletta about her furry thing on her bed.

"I think she's adorable. You wanna hold her?" Nicoletta asked.

Violet was brave "Um ok" said Violet holding out her hands

Nicoletta picked Luna up off her bed at set her in Violet's outstretched hands. She pulled her wand out just in case Violet dropped her, but didn't make this obvious.

Elizabeth stared at Nicoletta and Violet whilst they were still talking to each other not taking notice of Elizabeth. Elizabeth thought her first day wasn't going very well.
