Raven headed through the fourth floor corridor with her drumsticks in her hand; she figured that since it was quiet here, she could get some practice in without anyone interrupting her for a change. She sat down and took out a small drum pad from her pocket, unfolded it and began drumming a basic beat only for the moment.

Chris came walking around the corner with a book in hand. He had checked it out in the Library and was really excited to start reading it.

He was walking through the fourth floor corridor when he heard a little beat that caught his attention. He looked to his left and then down, and saw a Slytherin girl playing a drum pad. "Hello, I hope I'm not interupting, but can you play the drums?" hopefully she didn't think he was slow. He obviously knew she was hitting something like a drum at that very moment.

Raven looked up at the Gryffindor boy who was speaking to her, why was it that when she played drums, people seemed to ask questions and completely interrupt her? "Yeah I can actually, along with bass, piano and I can sing." she replied as she sped up playing a little bit, doing a slight drum roll.

Chris looked at her as she told him all the instruments she could play, plus she could sing. He had to make sure his jaw hadn't dropped as she listed them off. That wouldn't have been embarrising or anything.

"Wow that's amazing. I can't play any of those." he said shocked. Chris was more booksmart and could play Quidditch. He was no musician. He decided to join her, hopefully she would't mind. "So Im Chris Potter, what's your name. I have seen you around her some I think." he saw alot of everyone just didnt know them all.

Raven smirked slightly as the boy looked practically stunned after she listed off all the things that she could do which involved music, most people still had no clue that she could do more than just play bass.

"Well I've been practicing for about 10 years now, my dad taught me how to play all those instruments when I was 6 and I took vocal lessons since I was 8." she replied with an ever so slight shrug. "Gryffindor Prefect are you? I'm Raven Athlon, but I'll answer to Rave."

Chris nodded. "That's alot of practice. I bet you're really good." Que joke. "Well you're good at music, well if you ever want to see an awesome Ancient Runes reading you know where to find me." he laughed.

"Yep this is my thrid term being Prefect!" he nodded. "Well it's nice to meet you Raven." he was going to shake her hand but it was busy at the moment making the hypnotic beats on her drum thing.

"I am actually, people always tell me that I should have a band but like I'd rather just have my music as a hobby rather than this serious thing that consumes most of my time." Raven said as she stopped drumming for a moment and set the drumsticks down on the drum pad.

"That's pretty cool, I've only been at this school now for 2 terms, well technically this is my 2nd term here; transferred from a private magic academy in Kilkenny, Ireland called Galway Academy where I was a Quidditch Captain." she said before wondering why she even said that in the first place, it wasn't like people needed to know her life story. "Nice to meet you too Chris."

Chris smiled. "Yeah I could understand just wanting to keep it as a hobby and not a 'job'." That was cool by him. Besides music was better just off your emotions and things instead of having to do it.

"Ooh was your school as big as Hogwarts? I've been to Ireland but havent been to the Acadamy there." he said biting the inside of his cheek as he remembered that trip.

Raven picked her drumsticks back up and continued playing, speeding up a little bit as she did a couple drum rolls before returning to a normal beat. "Oh you've heard of Galway? Not many people have unless they lived in Kilkenny, it's a big school but nothing like Hogwarts; I was very well known there for my reptuation as a troublemaker and a bit of a flirt." she said with a slight smirk as she continued drumming.

Annie's converse shoes sounded all over the floor, as well as a bounce of a tiny ball, which ended when she front faced the library. She was so set to go study for a while, but her mind was still thinking about her journal, that has been missing for more than a week.

Sigh...

Where could it be? She was desperate looking for it everywhere, even suspecting of some people, but then Annie would be so unfair to those persons.

Sigh...Huff...

Lucille heard a sound.

A naiiice sound.

A BOUNCY sound.

And bouncy was ALWAYS good.

ALWAYS.

She followed it. But then the bouncing stopped. WHYHASTHEBOUNCINGSTOPPED!! STOP STOPPING!!

Lucille followed the corridor. A girl around her age stood at the end, staring rather mournfully at the library door.

Straaaaaange.

"Ya knowww," she said, casual at all times. "You want them doors to open, you're gonna have to push 'em EVENTUALLY. Staring doesn't work. Believe me, i've tried."

And so she had. Most wasted day of her life, that had been.

Annie looked around, when a girl about her age addressed her and commented about going inside the library.

"I am willing to go in, but still...there is something here that holds me..." Like my journal and this little soccer ball I like to bounce, she thought to herself.

So...who was she?...

"Anna Robles...Ravenclaw fourth year..." She introduced herself and started to bounce the little ball back and forth onto the floor.

Wow. Wow. WOW. Formal child. Straaange child. Evil child?

Probably not. She did, after all, have a bouncy ball. Pure proof that "Anna" could not be evil.

DUH.

"Lucille Beambrook," she said, resisting the urge to chuckle or lunge for the ball

"Wait, something holding you back? FROM STUDDYING? Like, perhaps, the fact thatstuddyiing is sucky. And a waste of time? Something BESIDES that?"

Lucille eyed Anna with a sceptical eye.

Jack was sprinting down the hall way, shoving past people as he passed. That little frog was a FAST hopper! AND for whatever reason, he was determined to get away. After all he had done for the frog?!

"Stop! Don't step on Jupiter!" he exclaimed as he passed people. As he spoke he realized how silly that sounded if he were talking about the PLANET...Jupiter was made of gas! You couldn't step on it! More importantly, it was WAYY bigger than Earth. Hehe. Astronomy geeks everywhere would have gotten the joke.

Unfortunately, none were around.

"Watch your step!" he cried as he gained some ground on the frog.

WHOA!!

Suddenly Torin was pushed aside as Jack hurtled past him down the corridor. That was so not cool. He could have banged into the wall or fallen or something.

He turned and called out to the Head Boy, "Jack, what are you talking about? You can't step on Jupiter. It's a gas giant!" DUH. Added to the fact that they were in a corridor at school, and there was no way that a planet could fit in the castle.

AHA! He finally grabbed the frog, picking him up in his hands. "Gotcha!" he exclaimed. As he stood up off of the floor he spotted Torin a few feet away, looking at him ike he was nuts. Ooops. Maybe he had run him down in his desperate attempt to save his frog?

"Sorry...I meant my frog. His name is Jupiter," he explained, holding him up to show him before dropping him in his pocket. "I didn't want anyone to squish him in the crowded hallway," he explained with a grin.

"So, long time no talk! What's up?" he asked.

He watched as Jack held up he frog. So that explained a lot. "You're such an Astronomy nerd." But he said that with a smile on his face that showed he meant in in a good way. Jack was a cool nerd.

And he was suddenly reminded of something.

"Why does your girlfriend call you dorky?" He was curious, because he found that sorta odd.

"But anyway nothing's up with me really besides Prefecting." Which beats studying for OWLs any day. "What about you?"

"Nice to meet you, Lucille..." Annie responded and smiled, though her sight still eyed the doors into the library. Then she thought, maybe it was not meant to be today, the day for studying, but later. She sighed and looked back at Lucille.

She nodded. "Yep, I am a bit worried about something and I that takes my whole concentration, I just can't stop thinking about the many possibilities of people who could have my..." Annie paused. It was probably not the best time yet to tell Lucy about her problems. For heaven's sake, they had just met.

"...and I can't agree studying is a waste of time, it's building your concience, mind, so you can use your knowledge in something at this world..." For half a bookworm Annie was, she knew studying was always to be part of her life, no matter what she decided to do in the future.

Lucille stood back, one hand on her hip and the other fiddleing with a stray peice of thread that had unwoven itself from her robes. She tugged at it gently. The girl seemed quite dispirited - something was bothering. Lucille wanted to help, but they had only just met. Hmmmmm.

"Well, whatever it," Lucille said, head cocked to one side, "Im sure it will pass. Give it time. And do what you like best to make you feel better. If thats studdying," she gave a little twitch,"then go ahead. Do what's best for you."

Lucille smiled at her. Although, how studdying could make ANYBODY feel BETTER was outside Lucille's limits of understanding.

"I KNOW what will make you feel better!" Lucille suddenly popped up brightly.

SHE KNEW!! SHEKNEWSHEKNEW!!!

Lucille ruffled about in her bag, concentration on her face. Sme smiled to herself as her hand clasped the familiar-feeling package. She produced it, looking pleased with herself.

"BROWNIES!!!" She declared, looking at the package which was definatly NOT (well, maybe) stolen from Warren. Shifty Shifty.

"Brownies make everything better. Fact of life, that is." She nodded, unwrapping the package. She handed it to Anna and went to sit down against the wall opposite the library doors.

"Come sit and eat," she smiled. "That way, the brownies will make you feel better - for a while at least - and you can still do your "staring at the library" thing."

Lucille gave a small chuckle, flicked her white blonde hair over her shoulder and patted the floor next to her.

That smell. Were those chocolate and nuts brownies? OMGOMGOMG. She could eat this whole lot if she could, but then her coach would just kill her for eating too much and not able to waste all that energy no matter how much she tried.

Annie smiled back to Lucille, giving her a thank with just that gesture, though it was always a good manner to say it. "Thanks for trying to make this a bit less...complicated..." She told her, walking towards the brownie basket. Taking Lucille's offer, Annie took a brownie and took a bite, suddenly feeling happy. Probably the whole chocolate effect.

"...my journal is missing." So, she blurted it out. Nice job, Annie.

YAY IT WAS WORKING!!!

Well, kinda. But Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Her journal was missing. Well that was NOT good. NOT GOOD AT ALL. Lucille thought. She stared absently around her, bit into a brownie and scatched her head with an index finder (the one that she HADNT squiiished on the monkey bars.)

"Hmmmm..." she said, head cocked to one side. She scratched a little more. "Hmmmmm..." Slowly she said, "Your journal is missing? With, like, your secrets and stuff in it? Your heart poured into the pages and all that?..."

Pause..

Blink, Blink.

"WELL THEN WE GOTTA GET IT BACK!!"

People could do ANYTHING with a journal!! People could know EVERYTHING about her!! The thought made Lucille shudder.

"Any suspects?" she asked, taking out a parchment and quill from her bag, poised to write like a detective.

Annie's opened wide when Lucille just expressed in every word the mean to get back Phantom. She still didn't know how hard it could be to do such thing. She woud have to know the secret behind all of it.

And that was something she tried to keep from most people, except Torin, who had this charm that made Annie tell him everything about her. Emm, not good. But she couldn't resist. iflail.

"I know we have to get it back, but doesn't it seem kind of impossible to find it around these thousands of students," because they were thousands already, "...and no, still no suspects. I don't even know when it disappeared, to be truthful..." She crossed her arms, though her right hand still reached up to her mouth, that ate that delicious muffin.

Jack chuckled as he stood up. "Yeah, I know. Astronomy nerd and proud of it!" he added with a grin.

He wrinkled his eyebrows at the next part. "Wait, what? Reese called me a dork?" he asked. He was so fixated on this fact that he completed missed what Torin said first. Was...was this something he should be concerned about? Or, more importantly, should he be upset about this? "Why did she say that?" he asked with a frown. After he had just given her his little plastic heart ring too!

Torin grinned at that first comment, but his face fell as Jack asked him why Reese had said that. Because he had no idea. And he was starting to feel bad now for telling Jack when he obviously was taking this harder than he figured he would have.

He shrugged slightly, not knowing what he could tell the guy. "I have no idea. I just asked her how you are and she said 'he's just as dorky as ever'."
