Antonio began to set up the classroom. Today's lesson would be pretty basic, nothing that even beginning students couldn't handle. He knew that some of the students had been a little nervous about the Divination lesson, and so decided to start with simple but useful things and build up towards bigger stuff later.

At the front of the room was a large poster showing the 12 signs of the zodiac -

The room was set up pretty much as normal, with desks rather than cushions to sit on, and no crystal balls or ouija boards were present anywhere.

"Have a seat, everyone," Antonio called. "I hope all of you had a good summer, and we'll get started in just a little while."

Nikki didn't really want the butter beer, but she raised her hand to answer. She had to participate. "Um Harry Potter is a Leo. And Voldemort would be a...., When was Voldemorts birthday? December 31?? "A Capricorn?" She said guessing. It was probably right. Nikki was always right! Okay maybe not, but still.

Livvy's hand flew up into the air and she waved it around a bit before answering. "Harry Potter's birthday is on July 31st, so his sun sign is a Leo. Lord Voldemort's birthday is on December 31st, so his sun sign would be a Capricorn." She nodded her head, thinking for a moment. Was that right?

Satine glanced through the new booklet with interest. She knew she was a Sagi and she knew the basics, but this looked like a lot more than just the basics...all she really knew was that she was a Fire sign, but she really wasn't sure if that had anything to do with the lesson today. She listened to the Professor's questions as she flipped through the book too preoccupied to try to answer.

Gold raised her hand. "Leo for Mr. Potter," she said, with a grin. "Capricorn for Voldemort... and professor? It's sort of odd, isn't it, how they were both born on the thirty-first?"

According to his sign thing, Ian was ... some kind of Virgo misfit. Obviously. He was none of the things Virgos were supposed to be except for maybe loyal, sometimes caring and clever in an occasion or two.

Ian decided that Divination was a whole lot of rubbish in that precise moment, and that he was most definitely not going to bother to prepare himself for that OWL. He didn't have The Sight, or the patience to actually try understand what on earth were the 'Seers' talking about.

Which reminded him ... were they supposed to be answering a question? Ian vaguely caught the names Potter and Riddle, and he decided he might as well stay out of that discussion; history had never been his strongest point, and the only things he knew was that Potter was an old fart and Tom Riddle was long gone.

He distracted himself with doodling in the corner of his parchment.

She very well knew the birthday of both however she wasn't to sure whether to answer. After all other's had already shouted the answer, so what was the point? Sighing she wrote down on her notes:

Celandine gave Professor Dumont a decidedly suspicious look. What was with all these free vouchers anyway? It was making her uneasy. She shifted in her seat and clamped her mouth shut, refusing to answer.

Severia made a note of Harry Potter's birthday. Everyone else seemed to know it, so evidently it was important. Severia raised her hand. "Professor, the Dark Lord wasn't a very good Capricorn. Aren't they known for respecting authority?"

Propping his chin on one hand, Blake sighed. Totally zoned out here, people.

He lazily moved his gaze around and caught the word 'Sun Sign'. Okaay. Flipping through his book, he opened the chapter on Sun Signs and straightened up. Time for studying. Concentrating on what was being said, his hand shot up in the air but lowered as quick. Too many answers...already and there goes his free butterbeer.

"Hmm?" Wait they were going onto another question. "Sun for Leo and Saturn for Capricorn." she blurted out quietly, looking around. Well, it's what everyone else said so it was safe to just say what they were saying...

Looking down at her notebook, she noticed she had been doodling planets on the corners and margins. Huh, so is seemed Divination and Astronomy were going to be planet filled this year.

Daniel smiled all he knows was his own planet and Sagittarius' which is Jupiter and Scorpio is Pluto which is technically not a planet anymore.

He raised his hand and said, "sun for Leo and Saturn for Capricorn." he sighed because he answered like everybody else.

Roxxy sat and took notes. At first she had just looked up her sun sign but when everyone else started to copy things down she did the same.

And then it was talk of Harry Potter and Voldermort and what signs they were born under. Being a young witch her mother had schooled her to remember those things. It might not be the most essential to know but in her eyes it was a piece of history. As they moved on Roxanna raised her hand to answer the question "Leo is run by the Sun and the Capricorn is run by Saturn." Taking down her hand she hoped that answering wouldn't give her a butterbear because Roxxy was no fan of butterbears at all.

Barry raised his hand he wanted a point "Leo is run by the sun while Capricorn is ruled by Saturn" But Barry had no idea what it meant. Planets control lifes?

Josiah beamed. "Thank you, Professor!" He'd won a free butterbeer voucher! WHOOOO! Number 2 thing to write to Mum about. She'd be well pleased. One spell accomplished successfully on the first go, a free butterbeer for a right answer... he was SO going to be the favorite now. Probably.

He raised his hand again even though about a million other students had, as well. "Sir, the Sun controls Leo, and Saturn controls Capricorn," he said eagerly. He knew he hadn't been the first to answer, but he wanted to try to earn some house points, anyway. That would be number THREE to write to Mum about!

Chin still on her raised knee, Cela was cringing a little at some of the answers. Ruled. Ruled by. Not run, not controlled. Ruled. There was a difference. She twitched a bit and looked away from the Gryffindor with the voucher.

Pretend like it wasn't there? Yes. Lets do that.
