Antonio began to set up the classroom. Today's lesson would be pretty basic, nothing that even beginning students couldn't handle. He knew that some of the students had been a little nervous about the Divination lesson, and so decided to start with simple but useful things and build up towards bigger stuff later.

At the front of the room was a large poster showing the 12 signs of the zodiac -

The room was set up pretty much as normal, with desks rather than cushions to sit on, and no crystal balls or ouija boards were present anywhere.

"Have a seat, everyone," Antonio called. "I hope all of you had a good summer, and we'll get started in just a little while."

Taking her book from the professor, she gave him a thank you smile before quickly fliping through the book. Landing on a page that seem to have the right awnser she raised her hand. "Professor, your sun sign is important because it tell us some of our basic personality traits."

Each sign has specific traits to them, so depending on your behavior, people can determine what your zodiac is." she hoped that was a sufficient answer that made at least a little bit of sense.

Mina raised her hand as she opened the handbook. "Your sun sign describes your unique personal center. It's like the image that you shine out to the world." That made sense now that she really thought about it.

Carter quickly flipped through the handbook and raised his hand. "It looks like the sun sign defines us. We can learn what kinds of things we're good at and our personality traits." he said. He looked down at the book again. "It's important to us because..." "From the pursuit of a mate to a career, the sun sign shows how your ego or will pushes out into new experiences... He blushed a bit reading these words. "... it can help us decide what's best for us." Close enough to the right answer, right?

"The Sun sign is said to describe one's personal traits. What type of people we are. Possibly hard working, determined, lazy, etc. The position of the sun is the center of the solar system, and as such our sun sign is what we are at the core. What affects our decisions or how we choose to elect things." Allison said simply. Skimming through the book provided she sighed, more reading material for her. Whoop-dee-do.

After writing down her own astrological information, Adrienne struggled not to tap her toes, encased in a pair of heels she thought were oddly appropriate for the subject, as she waited to find out the significance. She'd been aware of basic astrology for ages, and while she found it interesting, it wasn't as interesting as some of the other forms of divination. Also, it didn't really enable her to use her ability to trick people into thinking she was seeing the future, which was a strike against it.

Raising a hand as Professor Dumont spoke, she said, "The sun sign, in addition to the rest of your planets, determines you as an individual. Specifically, the sun sign tells us our characteristics. What makes us feel powerful, individual to ourselves. And it can help show us how our personality will shape our decisions in life." She paused for a second, before asking, "Are we going to be discussing cusps? Like, when your birthday falls right at the beginning or end of a specific sign? because isn't it possible you could actually have characteristics from two sun signs in that case?" Since she was basically right there, and she thought she'd read something about that once.

Peyton wasn't sure this was right, but she decided to give it a go. Why not, right?

Ooh, this was cool. Natasha was a Sagittarius. She didn't know what that meant, exactly, but looking down at the chart, it was still cool. Divination wasn't her best subject, but this didn't seem too bad.

She rose her hand at his question. She kind of knew this, reading a little section in the book, and some other reading and stuff that she'd done. "It shows your personality traits, how you are vital in life, and things even like your career." Natasha said, smiling. That was right, wasn't it? She hoped so, she found Divination kind of confusing.

Bella thought about the question. Should she say about her sign or just about general one, she decided on general, then if the teacher asked them to say it specifically, she would.

She raised her hand "Your sun sign helps tells you about how your sign can affects your relation ships and actions," said Bella still thinking what else it tells you.

So like me, for example, February 7th." Hold your applause for this Aquarius please, her little hand went up to say, "the earth was at a completely different spot from when...." Neptune pointed across at Adrienne, "that girl was born."

There were clear differences between Neptune and that girl, right? The giggly girl with the rabbit from the train? Right? No? Neptune simply could not keep up with EVERYONE in this place.

Cela's expression so far had been very wary. It wasn't that she didn't like Professor Dumont- she did, it was just that Professor Kapoor was... well...

It just made her uncomfortable, that was all.

In other words, I'm not going to give any points for this one, but there is a very special gift at stake as only one person can get the correct answer first." He smiled. "So, who would like a free butterbeer this weekend?"

Josiah took a deep breath and raised his hand. He really hoped he was right.
"Professor, I think that Voldemort was born under Capricorn, and Harry Potter was born under Leo," he said.
