Default Classroom Rules

Greetings and welcome to Divination! I plan on making this a class which you will find both memorable and fun but in order to do that, I need to spell out the rules first. Just so we have everything straight!

As anywhere else on this site, ALL SS BOARD RULES APPLY. If you have not, by now, read them, memorized them, and/or framed them, please do so before continuing:

Rules

Here are a few other rules that I'd like to point out:

Do not show up to my class late - ever! In other words, DO NOT ever post saying you are late. If you do, I will remove at least 5 house points from your house (and it will be you personally! Not only will your house be mad at you, but your chances of making top student will also be in jeopardy). If you get to class and find I'm already on the last activity, just pretend you have been there the whole time. I don't want you posting something like "Sorry I'm late, I had to go save the world from Voldemortist before I got to class", some nonsense like that. A late arrival just disrupts the class and adds nothing to the RP. So please follow this rule closely.

If you have something out of character, please PM me or the person you are trying to get your message to, rather than cluttering up the thread with a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be there in the first place. The classroom is not set up to be your personal message board. I think I make myself clear. Let's remember the difference between in character and out of character, and keep everything in character only in my classroom and in the school. Trust me, you'll have more fun and not get in trouble if you keep things in character.

How to earn maximum points in this class - There are many ways you can earn points from me. Come to class and participate, do homework, impress me with your brilliance! I am going to try to make this class as interesting and fun as possible for all of you. In return, give me all you've got and I will reciprocate in kind by rewarding your efforts with house points.

Do not act up in this class or show disrespect towards me or anyone else in here, even if I am not present in the classroom. Trust me. I have ways of finding out what goes on in this classroom at all times, and I don't think you are going to be very happy with what might happen if you do act inappropriately towards myself or anyone in here. As long as you behave yourself, you have nothing to fear. Let me repeat that. Behave yourself! Thank you.

As always, I appreciate any positive suggestions you might have for subjects, making the class a more fun learning place, et cetera, but please PM them to me. I would really love to hear from you, and will take your suggestions/comments into consideration! Believe me, I really will. Follow these rules and we will all have a great time! I also have a thread where you can post possible subjects you would like to see taught in this class.

Thanks so much for reading all of this stuff over. Please keep these simple rules in mind, feel free to refer back to them whenever you may need them, and also feel free to ask me any questions you may have via PM, as well.

The doors to my office are usually always open. Feel free to come and introduce yourself there, or come and talk to me anytime you have any issues you would like to discuss. I want to hear from you!

Thanks, have a great term!

Professor Dumont
