Peeking through the doorway, Ivory leaned her head in ever so slightly....just to see who else was in there.

Finding the room near empty she cautiously puts one foot in front of the other and keeps her head down. After the 'incident' in Potions class, her skin tone was still one that was a faint leafy green. That added with her short stature gave her a bit of a fairy or elf appearance that she was not too happy about. Especially since it was supposed to last a while.

Her hands stuffed in the sleeves of her robes and her hair falling in straight waves over the side of her face, she walked into the room to one of the middle seats and made sure to avert her face.

"Hello Professor Crispe, it's nice to see you again."

Although technically she wasn't 'seeing' him, she was actually looking quite determinedly at the floor until she found a desk and sat herself down, taking out her necessary things.

Hmmmm.

Raiden slipped quietly into the classroom, noting that... well only Ivory was here already. It was really odd to be in a classroom that was so quiet. He gave Ivory a small wave before turning his eyes to the professor.

"'lo sir," he said with a slight smile, before making his way to a desk near the back of the room.

Bella walked into the classroom and looked around with a smile on her face.

"Hey Professor" She called as she looked for a seat. Finally finding one she sat down and looked at the other students. Not knowing any of them.

Torin walked into the classroom not really surprised to see that their regular teacher was still gone. Oh well. He liked the substitute fine, so it didn't really matter all that much to him.

"Hey, Professor," he said as he took a seat.

Cedric headed into the classroom with a glum smile, wondering when their Professor Mac would come back. It didn't feel he was attending an Arithmancy class when Professor Shackleton wasn't the one teaching. He glanced around, noticing some familiar faces.

"Good day Professor," he said gloomily as he quietly took a seat beside Torin.

Oooh. Arithmancy!

Gold loved this class. Especially because Professor Crispe was SUCH a dear. She seriously wanted to give him another hug. But that could wait, till the end of this class. Because study was more important, right? Yep, she could hug her current favourite professor, a bit later.

"Good day, sir," she said politely, as she stepped into the class, and found herself a seat in the second row. That way, she would not be at the back, but not be at the very front, either.

Emily entered the classroom earlier than usual, judging by the small number of students already here. Bidding the professor goodmorning, she walked to her usual desk in the back corner of the room and began to unpack her supplies.

Fred made his way to the Arithmanct classroom with yet another lesson from the sub. Where was the actual professor. It seemed strnge because the Herbology also had a sub now. Was this a coincidence or is it related and is it just absence or something more Fred pondered as he took his a seat. He knew whatever it was probably has something to do with the new headmaster. Weird thing have been going on since his arrival and he did not think that was coinciddence.

Sidney walks into the classroom. Things looks just like they did the last time. She looks at the black board and sees Professor Crispe's name written on it. Sidney's happy. The teachers seem to be disappearing just like the students. The only difference is the teachers don't seem to be coming back. Sidney makes her way in the classroom. "Hello Professor Crispe, Nice to see you again." Also nice to see you haven't changed into another professor. I don't think I could take another Professor Cutter. He's another one who seemed to take an instant dislike to me, and I have no idea why.

After surviving one class with this professor, Jack didn't think he was that scary anymore. He had certainly faced scarier professors in the past. Like Borr. Blehhhhh.

He took a seat near the front and smiled at the professor as he sat down. "Good day Professor," he said happily, taking out all his materials that he had told them to bring with them.

"Hello Professor." Carter said as he entered the classroom. He took a seat near the back middle. He got out his parchment, quills, and book and awaited the start of the lesson.

Ooooh Arithmancy! Lucy had been waiting for this class to start. She made her way to a seat in the front and plopped down, throwing her bag down beside her.
"Hello professor!" She said enthusiastically.

"Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello!" Professor Crispe beamed widely at the Gryffindors as they entered the classroom and then he glanced around at the others. "And... good day." He added, to the rest of them in a far less enthused voice.

"We shall start by recapping what we covered in the last lesson. Any volunteers?"

Neptune was SO glad Mr. Crispe was still around. Though he didn't say much, she knew he held her in high esteem (though, who didn't??). Her hand, as well as her bottom from her chair, POPPED up into the air eagerly.


"We learned that when we plot our birthdays numbers into your darling little boxes, we can connect the numbers and make these arrows. And these arrows, though sometimes tell blatant and bold face lies, can sometimes give insights about our personalities depending on the direction that they point. But," Neptune paused to lower her hand and tap at her lip thoughtfully, "some, like meeee, are just outside the box and can't be pinpointed by arrows and such."


Clearly, those were the superior type. Clearly. Neptune scrunched her nose at Mr. Crispe affectionately, like they had some sort of inside joke going. GIGGLE.

Carter raised his hand. "We learned about..." Number tic-tac-toe? "Number lines." he said. "We wrote down the numbers 1 to 9 and if we had those numbers in our birthday we'd write that down. And if we had three in a row of numbers that we in our birthday it was a positive arrow, and if there were three in a row of nothing it was a negative arrow."

Yeah. That was a good summary.

Mrie was sittingin the back of the room watching the door hoping Destiny and Evelyn would come walking in when she heard the professor start talking.
Oh Merlin! He's starting class already, this meant another class her friends were not in. This just was not good.

After quickly looking through her notes she raised her hand and said, "We learned that the nmbers in our birthdate can help in identifying strong positive traits and character flaws. We used the Arrows of Pythagoras to help us figure out what these traits and flaws mean for us. These arrows give us a quick insight into our personality and are indicative of specific traits." She looked through her notes again making sure she hadn't forgotten anything.

Ella ran her hands through her hair, trying to recall what they had last learned about. "Something about how our birthdate can affect out traits," she answered.

Oooh!

It looked like Professor Teddy Bear was quite happy!

Glad that the professor was happy to see her - of course he was happy to see her! - Gold raised a hand. "We covered the Arrows of Pythagoras, sir," she said, politely. "Eight positive ones, and seven negative. We use a 3 x 3 grid to plot the digits in our birth-date - all except zero - and, with the help of those, get an insight into our personalities."

"Positive arrows are basically three adjacent digits in a row, column or diagonal of the grid. Negative arrows, on the other hand, are a line of three - vertical, horizontal or diagonal - empty spaces. The former usually tell of our good personality traits, such as willpower, intellect and determination, and the latter usually drawbacks, such as inactivity or frustration. Of course, some people have birth-dates that produce no arrows at all, which means they have no specific negative or positive traits, and tend to be adaptable and balanced and stuff."

Phew! That was quite a lot of stuff to recall. Gold was glad she remembered it all, though. Yay!

Lina was hesitant to answer. She had her robes drawn up over her head, and she was good at not being noticed. However... It was a class! She had to answer, didn't she? With a sigh, she raised a little hand, but did not uncover her head. No way! A genius potions master like her never had potions mix-ups that they couldn't undo! "We learned that our birthdays could tell us stuff, but ever since the year 1000, the first column of the number boxes we used could never be completely blank, and so we lost the knowledge of what it meant. That is why there are eight positive arrows, and only seven negative ones."

Daniel was silent from among the crowds.. This be better take his mind away from the past..

But then it was recap time... Not a good idea for him. He then looked at his eager classmates who are very glee on answering the question of the professor. But not him. Not at the moment.

Sidney raises her hand because she's not in a mood to not be yelled at for being rude. "We learned about the Arrows of Pythagoras. These arrows give us "a quick insight into an individual's personality and are indicative of specific traits," at least that what you said professor. You also went on to explain that in astrology you can have two individual who share the same birth sign, and those two individuals have different overall personalities. The position of the planets and the moon at the time of your birth can effect your astrological chart and hence your personality. The Arrows of Pythagoras work the same way as the planets. Used with the Life Path Number, the Arrows of Pythagoras help to give us more information to work with and help to tailor what is a generic explanation for the individual's Life Path Numbers, and personalize it more to the individual. Does that sound right?"

It was easier just to ignore that one. She was deluded but he couldn't very well say 'hey little girl, you are deluded' could he? Well. He could and he kind of wanted to but luckily his attention was caught by one of the wonderful Gryffindor students so he just sort of waved dismissively in Neptune Bott's direction.


"Nice and simple. Well said boy." Crispy told him jovially.

... oh alright. That was a good answer. It was a shame that he'd have to give points for it.

"Yes thats right."

Was that all she had to say? She pretty much summed up the entire subject of Arithmancy in one sentence.

So that meant that she was obviously brilliant like him. It was a Gryffindor thing. He heard what she didn't say too. You know, like the rest of the answer. He nodded cheerfully at the young girl.


"High five!" Crispy wandered over to Miss Laksh and extended his hand. "Very detailed answer."

"Yes yes. All of tha... what on earth are you doing with your robes child? Stop it at once!" Crispy flapped a hand in the Slytherin girl's direction. Maybe he could take points to balance out the good answers that he was getting from the Slytherin kids.


"You have a good memory." Crispy answered. "So some of you had no arrows, others had several. Some of you had more than one of a particular number and that is what we are looking at today. There are different meanings where there are multiples of a number appearing in your birthdate and therefore in your square. I want some volunteers to come up to the board and draw their square."

High-five! Gold beamed at Professor Crispe.

"Thank you, sir."

AND! He wanted volunteers. Gold raised a hand in the air. "Can I, sir?" she asked politely. She knew what Professor Crispe wanted them to do, but was not sure if they were allowed to walk to the board, and draw their 3 x 3 grid, yet. Best to make sure, they were.

Yep.

Marie sat there quietly listening as the professor was commenting back to all the answers that were being given. She had a very strange feeling that he did not like the Slytherin students at all. He seemed rather put out when they answered, and his comments back to them were not with the same happy tone the other students got, especially the Gryffindor students.

Not letting his attitude towards her get her down she raised her hand when he asked for volunteers. "Sir, I'll do it," she said sounding as happy as she could. She had a strange feeling he wouldn't let her do this but she didn't care, she was still going to let him know she was willing to volunteer.
