Oooh. Gold took off her shoes -- her pretty, sparkly shoes - and stepped into the classroom. "Good day, professor."

Giving Chris a little wave, she found herself a seat next to him. Yay for pillow seats! Hehe.

"Hello Jake." She said and took a step to the door... away from her little admirer.

"I am well Miss Rackel, I am well." She said smiling at the girl.

"Well Hello Prefect Kururugi..." She said looking around for his new girlfriend... Miss Bott probably feels her class was beneath her. Miss Prissy was more like it. "I am glad to see you in class... nice socks." She said before wordlessly and very discretely casting towards his socks, covering them with the visage of Neptune Bott doing kissy faces.

""Wello there Miss Greenwell, cumfy huh?" She said plopping down herself.

"Miss Evans." She said giving her a nod. "Isn't this fun?"

"Cute Socks Miss Erised!" She said.

"Hello to you as well Miss Valoroso!" She said.

"I'm doing well Miss Latrowski," She said smiling.

"Hullo to you too, Miss Shepard." She said and nodded in her direction.

"Hello Miss Lovato, Nice to see you in my class." She said giving her a nod.

... was there a smell of... rotten eggs? Oh Merlin... She cast a flower spell on the girl's socks. "Hello Miss Flores." She told her.

"Hello Miss Stefko," She said with a nod.

"Hello Head Girl Zhang," she said laying down on the pillows and rolling around, "I love pillows..."

"Hi there Master Blunt." She said.

"Master Carter..." she said coldly, not looking in his direction.

"Bunjeeur to you too, Miss DeRellington!"

"I'm doing well my dear Miss Salazar." She said smiling.

"Master Phillips," Hehehe he was precious.

"I'm doing well, Miss Evans, thanks for asking." She said.

"Aren't they fun Miss Black?" She said excitedly.

"Hi Miss Reagan!" She smiled.

"Miss Materia," she said sending her a wink.

"Prefect Potter," She said rubbing her lilac socked feet.

"Good day to you Prefect Laksh." She said and rolled back up to a sitting position.

"Alright Students, Today we are studying Chakra 'Runes.' Tell me why we don't have chairs and desks but pillows?" She asked.

"Chakra... Isn't that the spots of energy up the middle of your body?" She leaned back and thought about it. "I think I remember a picture of it, and there were things on each of the colored circles. Were those runes?"

Gold raised a hand. "Because of today's topic?" she suggested. Okay, that was too obvious. What she meant was... okay, she was going to try and explain, even though she wasn't that good at runes.

"Chakras are, like, wheels of energy," she said, with a little nod. "Force centers -- and they're said to be manifested in one's physical state. So maybe that's why pillows are a better choice, when studying the chakra runes? We're probably going to do something that would be harder or not possible, if there were chairs and stuff?"

Oh, Chakra Runes! Vashti had heard of those - the chakras, not the runes. She knew next to nothing about runes. So she raised her hand. "Chakras are pools of energy in the body, right? So maybe to study Chakra Runes a person needs to be relaxed - relaxing their energy - so that energy can be focused and calm. And pillows are a lot more comfy than chairs and desks, so it's easier to relax." That sounded reasonable enough. She wasn't sure if that made as much sense aloud as it had in her head, but she hoped it did.

Jack did not like taking his shoes off. His feet weren't pretty! He didn't think any feet were pretty, to be honest. They were weird looking. He tried not to look at all the feet in the room, and instead stayed seated on his pillow. Hmmmm why WERE they on pillows? He raised his hand.

"Erm...is it because it's easier to focus when you're on a cushy pillow? Rather than a hard desk chair? It's certainly easier on the bum!" he said with a smile.

Gold raised her hand again. Because Jackie's answer reminded her of something she had read, not too long ago. "Professor, I've also read of this procedure, where one has to mentally project a chakra rune into a chakra, to help 'clean' it, and transmit energy and stuff. One has to breathe all slowly and relax, for that." To add to her previous answer. "So maybe pillows can help with that?"

"Erm, be cause you want us to relaxed for whatever you have planned this lesson", Herminny said raising her hand beaming.

What did she just do her socks!? They didn't smell bad...her socks never smelled bad. Unless she just got done from running, but she usually changed them before going anywhere and she didn't run that morning since... it was one of those rare nights where she actually slept.

Frowning at the Professor, she was too irritated now to even answer the question. Flowery scented socks. Probably wasn't even hers that smelled bad. It was probably...Kay or something. Well, at least now she had the best smelling socks in the room.

HA! *queue the grumpy face*

"Professor Lupa, aren't Chakra runes used with massage therapy by muggles?" Sidney finds it difficult to get comfortable on this pillow. All the stuffing seems to be on one side. Sidney gets up and fluffs the pillow the best she can. She throws it back on the floor and sits back down.

With the professor in such a good mood, the Hufflepuff couldn't help slipping into a more relaxed mood herself.

Until, that is, Professor Lupa asked the question.

Raising her hand, she spoke, nose wrinkled and squirming, "Professor Lupa, I think muggles poke each others with needles when their chakra is all messed up. Maybe we're sitting on pillows so that we can poke them too?"

Wesley did not like needles. They were scary.

Nice... what? Raiden looked at the professor, slightly confused. His socks were nice? They were just plain black soc-

What the hell?!

"Ack." His green eyes immediately went back to the professor, completely and utterly unamused, before he tucked his feet under his legs.

NOT. AMUSED.

Especially since he couldn't think of a spell that would turn them back to normal.

Ivory wiggled her toes inside her socks smiling brightly at the compliment from Professor Lupa. Her face scrunching up in concentration she tried to think. Chakra....it made her imagine meditation.... and getting in touch with the earth and whatnot. Hmmmm.

"Professor would it be something having to do with the fact that the easiest way of finding your center is by sitting in the lotus position, so that ummm your energy is connected and you ground your root chakra to Mother Earth? I imagine that'd be kind of hard in a chair...?"

Biting her lip, she squinted one eye and pondered at what she'd just said wondering if it made any sense.

Lupa was… moving away from him?



That hurt.

It really did.

Jake's eyes went overly bright as he stared at the woman. She hated him, all because she thought he was sending her flowers and whatever the heck it was.

Fine.

Raising his hand, Jake answered bitterly. "Thhhey d-d-didn't do anyttthhhing wrrrrong," he said fiercely, almost spitting the words out. "You hhhate thhuh-them bbbecause you thuhh-thought they lllliked you, sssso you g-g-got rrrid of them."

And now they hate you back.

Well… no, not hate. Ja- errrr... Chairs and desks weren't able to hate.

"Thuhh-they wwwwon't come bbback."

So... Jake had confused himself with all these literary devices. Ah well.

The boy sniffed and then hugged his knees.

Bella smiled at the Professor and giggled, she agreed, this lesson was fun!

Nodding she said, "Very fun Professor" She giggled again.


She thought, guessing, "Umm, is it because what were doing means we need to be in contact with the Earth, so sitting on the floor?" She thought it was a rubbish answer, but at least she tryed. She smiled.

Tiberius had done as the board instructed, rather silently. Sitting, he wriggled his toes in his rainbow socks, considering the professor's question. He had no idea what Chakra runes even were.

Bouncing on the pillow, he opted instead to listen to everyone else's answers, chewing thoughtfully on the inside of his mouth.

Violet sat there on the comfy pillows and wondered about that question. Maybe because people might have awesome socks thought Violet. She looked up at the Professor to see if Bellas answer was right. While waiting Violet looked around the room again, she took in all the details. She had a good idea about what it may be.

"We're using pillows because they are much softer, plus they are easier to concentrate on." the yellow-and-black socked girl said. Oh were those socks lovely.

Kellen opened his mouth to send an answer the professor's way, but got completely and totally distracted by Raiden's sudden sock change. He couldn't help it; he burst out laughing.

When Raiden tucked his feet under him to hide the socks, it didn't decrease Kellen's snickers at all. The boy looked rather like a cat that just got water dumped on him. And the ears certainly didn't help.

Bella looked up at someone laughing. She regonise the boy, Kellen from the Common room. She smiled his way.

"Kellen, Hey" She waved at him, not wanting to cause people to look her way.

Emily looked up when Professor Lupa started the lesson. She didn't know why they were sitting on pillows. She just knew that she liked it, because they were comfy. They were less noisy when you stood up. Chairs creeeeaked, and the noise was kind of creepy, and loud. Emily didn't like loud, it alerted people to where she was. And they couldn't know, she was a ninja.

Emily relaxed on her pillow. It was soft and fluffy and QUIET. She wiggled her toes in her socks and waited for the answer. Hopefully she'd be able to answer the next question.

She turned and looked at the boy who was all sniffles and sadness. What was that all about? She turned back to Professor Lupa as she thought. What else was there about those pictures?

"Well, in most of the pictures I see, it has... Some sort of figure that's sitting cross-legged in a meditation position, sitting up straight. This would be hard to do in a chair. And the floor is hard, so pillows would be the best choice, as they don't restrict the legs or how we can sit, but still allow ourselves to be comfortable."

JC sits down and thinks. "Is Chakra a muggle form of relaxation and you relax more on pillows then sitting in chairs."

Mina sat quietly on her pillow as she listened to everyone around her. Tucking her high knee-sock covered legs under her, she tried to focus her attention to those around her. Her head and ears were slightly ringing still but she was getting used to it. It wasn't as annoying as it was before. She did need to concentrate and all.

"Most of you are right." She said sitting in a lotus position. "Chakras are energy centers that function like receivers and transformers of the various forms of prana, which is the primal source of all forms of energy. See, there is more to the human body than the physical body... there is the ethereal body, the emotional body, also called 'astral', the mental body and the spiritual body." She then lifted her head and said "Who can tell me the differences about these."
