''You want me to tell the way out to help you get away from me?'' he laughed. ''That's interesting'' This girl defin,tely had a different understanding of manners, looking down on someone and demanding help from the same person at the same time. As if she was a kind of princess and people were supposed to help her whenever she demanded no matter what slipped out her mouth. ''But do you think this is really a wise thing to ask?'' the Gryffindor boy asked ''Assume i told you that way...'' he indicated to a path at random ''...so you'd go to get away from me, as you requested, but what if there turns out to be more paths to choose among? I bet there are''

Lyddia scoffed under her breath, shook her head and looked away from the boy, coincedentally looking the same way he had indicated. How was she going to get out of here? It was obvious this boy wouldn't tell her and is only trying to annoy her further, so how else would she get out.

She thought of the legendary Harry Potter and how he got through most of the Third Task in the Triwizard Tournament by using a spell that made his wand show him north.

But that wouldn't help. Even if Lyddia knew where north was, she wouldn't know which way to go. Besides, she doesn't even know the spell.

*sigh*

Lyddia was tired of this. I surrender, "Can't you just tell me exactly how to get out?" Lyddia asked him, in a completely different tone of voice. One of exasperation more than anger and annoyance. "I'll be nice." She offered.

Right, this wasn't fun anymore. Not that she had walked in here looking to have a laugh. Which this totally wasn't. Miranda was pretty sure she was very lost in this maze and the urge to just blast a hole through the darned plants was very tempting. Very tempting indeed.

If only she could remember the charm to do it. What was it... Blasto? No...something more latin. Blasto Through-o! Yeah right...

Sighing, Miranda stopped walking and looked around. She had come to a cross...road. "Great..." she mumbled and began to chew her thumb nail, taking turns to look at either way. Now, you see, if only Miranda had done her homework and all, she would have known how to get back properly.

Nevermind that, she'd just have to do better next term, since she would be alone there would be ALOT of time for homework. That thought made her clench her fist and made her take the left out of sheer frustration.

What the heck had caused Nancy to enter this maze again?! Her. Entering a maze. On purpose. Her, who even got lost on the way from her Common Room to her dormitory. Yes, she was exactly the perfect person to be entering a maze just for the fun of it. Not. Where was she?! How would she get out again?! The moment her brain had decided to work the way it was supposed to again, including thinking logically - and therefore asking her WHAT THE HECK SHE WAS DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF A MAZE?!- , Nancy had turned right around to walk back the way she had come from. Or so she thought. Unfortunately, said decision had been made about a quarter of an hour ago and she was still somewhere inside the maze.

With a sigh the 16 year old approached the next corner, some part of her still hoping that she would be seeing the exit from there. Although, it was quite unlikely. As soon as she'd reached the crossing her blue eyes darted left and right in search for an exit, but instead fell on something else. Somebody actually. People. There were people! Well, one person actually, but still. There was somebody! She was not alone! Then, upon taking a closer look, a relieved sigh escaped her lips as she recognized..."Miranda?!" Yes, finally. Help. Somebody who would know how to get out again.

Or not.

Her thumb nail had found her teeth again, but now with more stomping than walking, Miranda made her way through the darned Maze. Maybe she could climb the walls...and they would probably not hold her wheight. OR she might not even make it up far enough to find out.

This was soooo... "Gah!" Miranda threw her hands in the air and then totally spazzed out. Sort of looking like she was skipping, she hopped around stomping the ground, mumbling incoherently and throwing her arms around like a windmill. She stopped.

Had she heard something? Narrowing her eyes, she began to sneak around the corner, her wand still in her hand. And then suddenly, out of nowhere, her name was said out loud. With a squeak, she hopped around and saw a girl! A GIRL! A HUMAN! "N.....Nancy!" Yes! That was her name! And without further ado, Miranda flung herself at the girl, quite ignoring the fact that they didn't know eachother that well. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

To say that Nancy was taken by surprise when Miranda literally tackled her would be the understatement of the year. Her eyes widening the 16 year old automatically grabbed whatever part of the Hufflepuff she could get a hold of as she felt her immediate unbalance the moment the other girl "collided" with her. Any normal person would now simply take a step back or something similar to that to easily regain their balance. Well, Nancy wasn't normal. Not when it came to balance that is...

"Whoa!" Was all she could exclaim while, with one hand holding on to some part of Miranda's robes and the other flailing helplessly, she felt herself being pulled closer and closer to the ground. Tumbling backwards onto the hard ground Nancy couldn't be sure if she had taken the Hufflepuff along with her, as all she could think of was the sudden pain in her bum. "Ouch!" As she slowly sat up again Nancy blinked a few times to re-gain the knowledge of how she had gotten onto the ground in the first place. Right. Miranda. "Jeez! Yes, I'm happy to see you too." She shook her head in amusement as she smirked at the Hufflepuff girl.

And Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- They were faaalllliiiiing! Oops. The earth sort of dissapeared from under Miranda's feet as she clung to the girl, so SO so happy that she wasn't wanderign the unkown alone. Atleast now, hey would DEFINITELY find their way back, yes? Because cmon, Nancy was a year older. SHE must have done all her homework, unlike herself. And then they hit the ground, and Miranda sort of rolled away from Nancy, but the stupid relieved grin was still on her face as she lay on her back. Wait, where did she go? Ans then Miranda heard her voice and she sighed, hopping up onto her feet again and going over to help the Slytherin up. "Sorry about that...BUT YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WANDERING!" Her voice was loud, like she was about to spazz out again. Taking a deep breath, she spoke in a normal tone. "So...everything allright with you then? Yes? Goodnowyouknowthewayout?"

Desperate wasn't she?

Nancy couldn't refrain from giggling at Miranda's almost freaking out while she took the Hufflepuff's outstretched hand to pull herself up again. Craning her neck over her shoulder she tried to see if her back was dusty from the ground, and reaching back she brushed over her robes a few times. "I...uhm...yes. You okay?" Whoa, this girl could talk fast. Even faster than her. "I...don't." Wait! Did that mean Miranda didn't know the way out either?!?!?! Eep! "But...but...if I don't know the way and you don't know it either...HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OUT OF HERE?!" Now it was Nancy's turn to spaz out as her eyes darted around frantically in search for something that would help them.

The 16 year old turned on the spot a few times while playing with her wand a bit nervously. They had to be able to do something. Then her eyes fell on the hedge - which was not exactly that spectacular as duh, they were surrounded by hedges - and she simply resumed to stare at it for a few moments. There had to be a way to get around them. Or...through them. "We could...uhm...burn a hole through the hedge?" Nancy suggested biting her lip, as some part of her knew that Mr. Masterson would probably not be too happy if they set fire to his maze.

Miranda didn't really respond with words but nodded her head ALOT. She had suddenly become a bit hyper with the company. And with that, she didn't really hear Nancy unsure 'no' but kept looking around with big eyes. But...the loud voice of the Slytherin WAS hard to miss, and as she finished her sentence, Miranda's lower lip started to tremble as she watched her friend look around her frantically and then turn. If this wasn't such a serious situation, Miranda would have laughed because Nancy looked funny.

Taking a deep breath, the Hufflepuff straightened up and grinned big, albeit a little mad, at the new idea. One she had had before but because of her...ignorance, she wasn't able to. "Yes!" she exclaimed with one finger in the air. "That's a REALLY good idea!" Not minding the groundskeeper. "You do that, and I'll keep a watch for any...funny business..." her eyes narrowed as she glanced around the area. Miranda had definitely gone off topic now. What funny business would there be to protect themselves from?

''You will be nice!'' Now Josh was starting to get annoyed by her endless arrogance. He could not understand how she coulf suggest something like that. She was going to be nice so should he regard himself lucky. Apparently he should for this girl. Actually he was planning to pour everything out and leave her alone but with that kind of an utterance the Gryffindor boy thought she needed to be played on more. ''Okay...nice girl.'' he said with a smile ''I will tell you but i'll require something in exchange. Ah and by the way my name is Joshua if you'd like to call me with funny or insulting nicknames''

Urgh, he didn't believe her, but she was being serious. She really was going to be nice from then on, she was tired and the time seemed to be passing so slowly, she really couldn't stand this anymore. He just made her so weary. She needed to get out. She sighed and sat down on the ground, crossing her legs and looking up at...Joshua. She gave a half-hearted smirk when he mentioned his name, but didn't say anything about it.
"Whatever you like, I just want to get out."
She gave up, she surrendered. He won.
By this point she didn't even care if he knew it or not.

''Um...'' Josh turned back and stared at the girl face, surprised that she had given up arguing with him. No more challenges? So he had won the competition of being the most annoying when he wanted to be. Very nice! As if it was something to be proud of. ''Okay...'' he began and went on conversationally ''I think i remember where i came from but that was a long way to go so... i have an idea which might take shorter time.'' He indicated the corn plants with the tip of his hazel wand ''We will walk into them. And i don't think it would bear any problems except some little insects among them. This is possible here, is not it?''

Lyddia smirked when he sounded so unsure. Chyeah, that's right, he wasn't expecting it. But she furrowed her eyebrows when he mentioned going through the maze 'walls'.
"Uhm, I don't think that's going to..." But then she realized that she was famished. She needed food. Sooo hungry.
"Okay, fine. Let's do that. Although, is there a way to not include the insects?"
Ew.
She was going to add his name at the end to be nicer, but then she remembered he still didn't know her name. Well, at least she thinks he doesn't. Does he?
Thinking this got Lyddia just a tad bit annoyed again, but not enough to argue with the boy once more. She was much too tired. And hungry, oh yes, very hungry.

Josh took a step closer to the maize walls and checked between the leaves with his wand. ''Hmmm...hmmm...'' there were a couple or more differet kinds of insects hovering or climbing around and he turned back to the girl with a sad smile ''I'm afraid no. There's no way not to include the insects.'' Then he took a deep breath and dived into the plants which were way taller than he was. And he felt like he was unable to breathe with all the leaves and corn tassel touching and itching his face, head, neck plus it was nearly impossible to watch where to go with all those plant stuff. So he stepped back to the cleared path ''Ehem. Sorry Laura. But i think it'd be better if we used the usual path.''

Lyddia grinned subtly, then her grin got bigger and bigger until it took up most of her face. But she wasn't going to say anything. She was just going to grin and grin at Joshua until he figured out why.
She stared and grinned until he should begin to get uncomfortable.

Yeeeeahhhh, grinstare.

''Okay, let's go this way'' The Gryffindor pointed the right path and started to walk. Maybe he could burn all the plants so make his own way but also he might get detention for that for damaging school property. He did not know if there was kind of a detention for that reason but it sounded reasonable anyway otherwise people could just freak out and keep breaking, burning, scarring everything around freely. He halted the next moment when he realised the girl was not coming. ''Hey, i thought you wanted to get out of here'' he turned back to face the girl and she was grinning 'Ah yes, of course' ''Your name is not Laura, i am aware of it. Just randomly chose one to call you'' he said ''Now will you start to follow or you wanna stay here and watch how do corn plants grow and wither''

Pfft, okay sure. He was just throwing out random names and seeing how Lyddia reacts, Mr. I-Know-Everything. He should guess right eventually though, so Lyddia wasn't going to tell him anything. She went where he indicated without saying anything further. She was just going to follow im and bear his navigitional mistakes.

Kevin wandered to the entrance of the maze he was going to enter but knew that he was prone to getting lost easily and waited at entrance to see if anybody was willing to get lost with him

Becca walked up to the maze entrance, trying to determine the probability of her getting lost. It was her first tim ein the maze, thought it'd been here quite a while and she wasn't sure if she'd be able to get out once she'd gotten lost. She stopped walking and saw a guy there. He seemed older than her, and looked as if he was waiting on someone. "Hi there!" Becca said, actually introducing herself first. "Becca Latrowski, thrid year Ravenclaw. Nice to meet you." she said extending her hand to him.

Kevin smiled at Becca and said "Nice to meet you Becca, I am Kevin McKay, so what brings you to this maze on this fine day" Kevin shook Becca's hand

Becca smiled. "I was thinking I migh try and go through it, my first try though. And yourself?" then she added, "You seem as if you're waiting for someone."

Kevin smiled and said "I was going to try to get through without getting lost and i'm not waiting on anybody, just the last time i entered the maze i got totally lost and couldnt find my way back out"

"Oh my goodness! Well would you like to try it together?" Then she remembered something and said, "Oh and I have my wand in my pocket so we can always call for help or summon brooms!" Becca was very happy she had realized her wand could help them, so there would be no panic further on.

Kevin smiled at Becca and said "Sure i would love to try it together and cool i have my wand as well"

Becca nodded, "Alright then, it's final. We're going to do this!" She said and then "Come on, let's get going!" She knew she must've sounded like Kevin's naggy little sister or something, but boy was she eager!
