Okay, he was having enough of this. It was too much. "Just stop it, Reese," he snapped at the Slytherin. "You know what I meant. And I'm tired of explaining it to you." He was so mad right now. He wanted to slam his fists down on the table. Where was Fyo when he needed him?
"Do not tell Brody to dump me." He could tell that his girlfriend was tempted to punch Reese in the face, and he was honestly not sure if he wanted to stop her. He just tightened his grip around her and said, "don't worry, this will be handled soon."
And Xanderman had arrived. "Save me!" he pleaded with the Ravenclaw.
Oh, alright. She was one of those kids who already knew about everything. Pureblood even perhaps. And for some reason 'werewolf' didn't sound scary to her, so maybe purebloods thought it all a load of tosh. Maybe the paper *was* making everything up. Just his luck, reading tabloids. Ugh.
"It didn't sound like an accident in the paper," he said, still incredulous. "More like sabotage, it was. Ern't right that it didn' get looked into."
"So these werewolves n' all just want to make nice?" Here he was even more incredulous. Growing up in a Muggle background meant that the only time werewolves weren't evil and limp-ripping was in comedies or shows like I Was a Teenage Werewolf. What else was there that no longer added up?
“I don’t know all of the details but I doubt that it was deliberate. You’d be better asking one of the older students who were hear at the time than believing the paper. News papers in this world are just like those in the muggle world, they only write what sells the papers. I went to muggle primary school so I know how werewolves are portrayed in story books, and sadly allot of people in this world agree with that. But it’s just not fair they didn’t ask to be werewolves!” Abigail was getting wound up now and there really wasn’t any reason for it, she just really wanted this boy to understand her point of view.
Taking a deep breath she said “I’m sorry got carried away for a minute there.” She took a look around at the other first years “You know there aren’t many first year boy’s in Hufflepuff are there?”

"Now tell meee," he said, in a sing song voice. "What's the problem here? I saw the Xanderman symbol on the wall, and I knew I was needed somewhere! It led me here. What do I need to fix for us toniiiight?"
He would get to the bottom of this. HE JUST WOULD.

Her things, in her opinion, belonged to her, and anyone who knew her very well, knew that she would hardly ever give them up. This was why she was reacting so badly. She smiled at Torin though, he was only trying to help. Too bad that it wouldn't work.
"Me dump Torin? Merlin you must be off of your head." Brody rolled her eyes, blankly staring at Reese. Did this girl seriously think she was going to dump Torin, just so that she could have him. Didn't Reese have a boyfriend any me. "You just want me to dump him so you can steal him. No chance." She shook her head, just as she heard a familar voice.
She stared again, as Xander took Reese to the otherside of the table, AND put his arm around her. Whaat! It was Brody that needed the comforting. "She's trying to steal my boyfriend." She spoke through gritted teeth. She was not amused in the slightest.

Reese tapped her heel against the floor underneath the table until she felt someone wrap their arms around her. What the heck? She looked up towards Xander, who had just pushed himself into this conversation. She was sort of glad he did, because maybe he would stop Brody from giving her a bruise. But, then again, he was the one that ruined her moment on the train. If it wasn't for him, she might have kissed Torin! Hmpf.
She stood up from the bench when the boy started to drag her to the other side of the table. She sat back down across from Brody when they made it to the other side. Crossing her legs, she placed both of her arms on the table and kept both brown eyes on the blonde girl sitting in front of her. "Of course that's why I want you to dump him," she told Brody. That's all she could say before Torin began to talk.
"Torin, darling. You are only saying this stuff because Miss Brody is over here," she told him as she took a quick glance towards the girl. "Just by the way you are looking at her implies that." She shrugged her shoulders at the boy, then tilted her head.
She turned towards Xander when he asked what the problem was. "She's the problem," Reese replied as she pointed towards the blonde sitting in front of her.

‘Ok maybe she’s not too bad, just nervous.’ Abigail smiled at Sara “Don’t worry about it, it’s alright and I’m sure you haven’t made that bad of an impression. It’s nice to meet you. So what classes are you looking forward to?”She was just glad to know there would be no rude awakenings early in the morning.
Sara looked up at Abigail and with a sheepish smile on her face said: "Well, thanks for talking to me anyway! I have never been so stressed in my entire live!" Sara said, in her normal, everyday voice.
"I'm really looking forward to potions and learning how to fly a broom," Sara replied, in answer to Abigail's question. "I expect it will feel just like being a bird." Sara looked at Abigail to see if she was right about the flying.
“I don’t know all of the details but I doubt that it was deliberate. You’d be better asking one of the older students who were hear at the time than believing the paper. "Yeah. Odd, that."
Arrick eyed the Head Boy who had introduced himself earlier and wondered if he'd provide the truthful rendition or if he'd already been told to parrot a different, cleaned-up story by the staff. Grownups did that a lot, after all, when they thought kids ought not to know something. Like the tall, older Gryffindor boy on the train who told him there was nothing to worry about.
Looked like he'd have to go see for himself. Which meant trying to look for an older boy who didn't look like a chummy of the Head Boy or a prefect.
But first things first, this meatloaf. Fully aware of how hungry he was now, Arrick was wolfing down food and not particularly caring if he made a mess. He was already dirty-looking to begin with and now flecks of sauce joined the spots and stains on his sleeves.
"Y'don't know any werewolves, do you?" He asked finally through a mouthful of meatloaf, his earlier skepticism and hostile manner overriden by careful curiosity.
Now basically capable of speech, Jake probably could have said something, but... he didn't. Not only was he scared that he'd start sobbing again, but he was embarrassed for bringing down the mood, so he simply shrugged, hugged anddddd... well, that was it.
"I'm sorry," the boy breathed, leaning up against Kaika and looking downright miserable.
Siiiiiiiiiiiigh.
Awwww. She'll probably be having a long talk with him by the end of the year or something. And they must win again, because having their house winning at least one cup puts the Huffies in good mood, right? Right.
How she wished for him to forget about this RIGHT NOW. He was going to forget it in a few days when he starts to be around cats and all.
Jake had nothing to be sorry about, why was he saying he was sorry? But, not wanting to cause him distress, Kaika simply smiled and nodded. That's the one thing she knew wouldn't get her in trouble, because her words might not do the trick at this moment.

"Hrmm." The broad shouldered boy was sitting at a random spot at the table, fingers laced together in his lap. Maybe some food would loosen him up. That apple on the train was hardly filling.
Oh. Look who it is. Another seventh year. "Hey Helios, how have you been?" true, she's never been close to him or anything, but it was someone she knew from her first year. One of those few who managed to stay until their seventh and final year. Because Kayla had left, among others.
"Hungry?" because the look on his face said that, and she was sure he could eat the table if he wanted to.
"Hi, Sara." I said loudly. "I'm Kay. It's so nice to meet you."
I smiled and hope that I may have make a new friend. That would be so great. Maybe I wouldn't be alone all seven of my school year like I had been most of my life.
"Hey, Sara. Would you like to sit with me?" I asked.
"Hello Dominic, My name is Kay." I said to him. Wow, the head boy was talking to me. I wasn't sure what to say to him.
"I glad to meet you." I said smile my sweetest smile.

Abigail swallowed the food she was eating before answering (she was talking so much she was barley eating anything). “Oh I can’t wait for potions! I love to cook you see so I’m hoping I’ll be good at it.” She then screwed up her face “I’m really not looking forward to flying; I don’t like speeds you see. My brother tried to get me on a broom during one of his rare brakes, but I wouldn’t do it!” She shivered just at the thought if having t fly.

Abigail scrunched her nose up at the mess Arrick was making with his food, she really hated mess eaters. “Watch what your doing would you if I wanted to eat meatloaf I’d have put it on my plate!”
She wasn’t really sure she wanted to answer that question, she had known a werewolf but she didn’t want to go into any details about it. She decided to avoid the question. “Don’t worry about the lack of boy’s I’m sure there’ll be more when the sorting finished!” She smiled “And I’m sure they’ll be glad to save you from all of us girls.”

Arrick responded by shifting his plate an inch further away from Abigail. It wasn't like debris was flying over to her portion of the table, but Arrick had a way of eating that made it seem like he were a blender set on full-mulch with its cap off.
He eyed the girl critically, catching her skipping over his question and taking it as an implicit yes. Oh ho, no wonder. Though it made Arrick wonder if being a werewolf wasn't too terribly an uncommon thing like the paper made it sound. Normal newspeople did the same thing all the time, for lesser differences and oddities.
He wrinkled his nose a bit at the mention of all the girls. "I ernt need savin'," he muttered. All he needed to do was keep out of the way. Girls were chatty and loved to gossip, especially about odd boys. Ugh. No thank you, Arrick was most certainly *not* going to stick around.
Though at the moment that meant hanging around with all the older boys. Arrick wasn't sure about them yet. He wiped his mouth on the back of his sleeve and watched the older boys talk amongst themselves and some older girls.

He glared across the table at Reese. "No, I'm not! I don't like you in that way. You are just my friend. And I'm not just saying that 'cause of Brody." He was so frustrated right now. He needed to tune out the rest of what she said.
Then Xander started talking to Reese and asking her about food. He was paying attention now even though he had no idea what the boy was getting at.

"Noo, she's not." You are. AHEM.
Intently, Xander watched her body movements, and how she reacted to everything. She was acting more obsessed than anything with Torin. And when he finally got to look at her, her eyes were just all glazed over. It must be losing its affect now. Or it was wearing off, since she was becoming more angsty.
"Cake, you say?" Xander inquired. Turning his head towards Torin, he raised an eyebrow. "Was it fresh and soft and moist?"
If it was... it shouldn't last much longer... But. If it was in the bottle long enough, it could be more intense. Hmmm. HALP.

Abigail shivered in disgust as Arrick wiped his mouth on the back of his sleeve ‘EWWE’ she thought ‘Where did he learn his manners, that’s just discussing.’ She handed him his own napkin with a look that clearly said use it.
“Of course you don’t need saving” she said sarcastically “that’s why you’ve got that look on your face every time you look round. You know the one that says ‘ewe girls someone save me please’” She smiled at him cheekily and patted him on the arm, then promptly wiping it on her napkin. “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone.”
"My cakes are always fresh and moist," he replied coolly. He was still not sure where Xander was going with this.
Xander nodded his head towards Torin. He nudged his leg under the table a bit forcefully, to let him know that Reese wasn't trying to play footsie with him.
"I just remembered something," he said. "I need to talk to you about it after this though."
Not that he would completely abandon Brody. That would be rude. She needs snuggles later.

Varius loved the feasts with specialised occasions - the start of term feast being one of his favourites. It was always good to see the new Professors and guess what they would be teaching or to see how many wrinkles Bunbury had adopted during the summer or if Kazimeriz had survived yet another summer to continue on teaching. However, he did notice the absence of Healer Avalon and he hoped dearly that her old age had not dealt her an unfortunate demise.
He played with his cutlery has he waited for the Headmaster to make his speech and the food to arrive. Yes, he had noticed that both the Headmaster and Professor Lupa had returned this time. The Headmaster didn't phase him as much, but he couldn't believe Lupa could still be sitting up there despite what happened last term. A pet dog bites and it gets put down, no second chances, and there she was arguing with Bunbury by the looks of things. Varius felt slightly scared for the redhead but tried his best to not show any signs of such emotions.
As he looked up the the ceiling he glanced out of the window and noticed the full moon outside. His gaze quickly moved to the staff table to where Headmaster Bontecou was currently rising and moving toward the dias. He gave off a small, short squeal half expecting the man to turn into a werewolf there and then, ready to feast on this plateful of students laid before him. His gaze wandered over to the Runes Professor also - were her teeth pointier than usual? There was an odd glint in her eye...
He half wanted to run out of the hall screaming, but he had to brave this. He had to stay, ensure everyone got out alive... goodness knows what he would do if such an awkward situation did arise, but he would think of something... maybe.
The speech finished and Vee breathed once again. He hoped it wasn't going to be like this all term, but at least he would be dropping out of Runes - something which he would have to go to Professor Shackleton to discuss tomorrow when school officially started. What a term this was likely to be.
Lowsee ☆ The Joker ☆ Fantastic Baby! ☆ HufflyPuffly
The third year sat still for a few moments, his eyes wide and staring at the wall in front of him. His mouth was wide open, tongue out, drool dropping from it. It was quite a disgusting look on him. Well, on anyone else it's disgusting, very disgusting. He was thinking of cupcakes. Delicious cupcakes that had whip-cream on them, sprinkles on top. They were as large as this room and Willie was eating it like there was no tomorrow.
Carmela gasped when she entered the great hall, she had entered with her best friend Lidya. They we're both a little late, but as long has they kept to them selves, they could blend into the crowd. She couldn't belive her eyes, the great hall was huge. Carmela had been waiting for this day! And now that it's finally here, it's a dream come true. She looked around still super excited. She hoped that this was going to be the best, and she would meet some new people.
Abigail continued to eat her mash potato as she looked around at the other first years. She notices that another girl had joined the table, and looked as excited as she felt about being at Hogwarts. ‘Another girl Arrick’s going to love that!’ she thought sarcastically. 'Poor thing I hope more boy’s turn up for his sake.'
Reese looked away from Xander while he questioned Hotty McHotty about the cake. Thinking about the delicious cake, she wanted another one. She looked back up to where her eyes met Brody again. Grr. OH SNAP. She asked why he was looking at her eyes!
"Because I wanted to see why Torin wouldn't want to look into them," he said. "They're gorgeous."
Sure, that may gross her out. But at least it would distract her. He kind of twitched a little bit - this was going to be hard. He looked back at Torin and debated on it. It was now or never.
"Torin," he said. "Can I talk to you for a second... over here?" He motioned his head a bit further down the table before getting up from the bench and moving to the empty area.

He was still lost. And trying to ignore Reese as she kept looking at him like that. UGH. And he didn't really want to leave Brody. But if Xander wanted to talk...
"Okay, sure." He gave Brody another kiss on the cheek then got up and headed over to where Xander went.
Carmela, sat at the end of her house table, she looked around at all the students babbling in there own little groups, she was a bit late, and wasn't yet acquainted with her fellow peers. She looked around for someone who looked friendly enough to talk to, someone was that was in the same situation as her.
