Tammy had failed already. She was coming across as mean wasnt she? And that wasnt what she had wanted. Not at all. Sighing quickly, she gave Dom a smile, it wasnt a usual friendly one. More one that apologised and said hello all in one. It wouldnt work.. But it was a try. A BIG try.

And it was nice.
She was being nice.
It was a nice thing to do, smile.

"Hey." She responded rather quietly, still that awquard smile on her face. Tammy was leaving the first years to him at that moment. She, was still having a freakout, over the fact some of them seemed already taller than her. And she wasnt going to grow!

"Dom?" She whispered hoarsley upwards, hoping none of the others would hear. The fact she was rather small, also meant the fact, HE may not of heard it. It was so loud in the Great Hall at that moment. "Are the first years always this scary?" Another whisper, but this one was a bit louder, obviously easy to be heard.

Now basically capable of speech, Jake probably could have said something, but... he didn't. Not only was he scared that he'd start sobbing again, but he was embarrassed for bringing down the mood, so he simply shrugged, hugged anddddd... well, that was it.

"I'm sorry," the boy breathed, leaning up against Kaika and looking downright miserable.

Siiiiiiiiiiiigh.

"Oh, come on. A little trip down to Madame Puddifoot's when Hogsmeade opens won't hurt Brody," Reese tried to reassure Torin. She glanced around the Hufflepuff table to make sure that Torin's girlfriend wasn't around. It probably won't hurt Brody too much if she dragged Torin down to Madame Puddifoot's, but whose to say that Reese would make it out alive if she did such a thing? Brody sort of scared her just a tiny bit during the train ride. Oh, wait. Reese Upstead was a SLYTHERIN. She shouldn't be scared of a Hufflepuff. Especially once that's younger than her. She can just bite the girl. Grr.

"No, I-" She stopped talking as a smile formed on her face. "I actually think I might have something in my eye. Why don't you look?" She leaned in closer, so Torin could see if she had anything in her eyes. And, maybeeee if he got close enough to her, she could kiss him! But, before Torin could look, his girlfriend showed up.

Brody.

"Brody, is it?" She asked back with a smirk. She almost fell off the bench of the table when the girl practically pushed her way in between her and Torin. Not NICE! She moved a little bit further away from the blonde girl and just eyed her. She wasn't scared. No, no she wasn't. "I know you told me that," she spoke. "But, I don't listen to people who are younger than me." She shook her head before taking her eyes off Brody and placing them on Torin, who was sitting beside his girlfriend and...and he was kissing her.

"Ignore me?" She said as Torin spoke to Brody. "That's not a very nice thing to do, darling."

She heard a boy introduce himself as the head boy to another first year. ‘Well best get to know the authority, and of course another of my new house mates’ she thought.

“Hi guy’s I’m Abigail. What are your names?” Abigail smiled at both of them ‘I hope they don’t mind me butting into their conversation’

"Oh! Abigail!" cried Lucille. "Yes, we did." She nodded, and beamed an her.
"So your a Hufie? Thats great! Any Huffie history in your family?"

Looking at him seriously, pondering what the boy had just said. I guess that's true...but, Meredith was a student... Searching the boys face, he realizes the boy must have been sorted, since he's sitting at a table, and not under it, like JD was.

"It might sa...ummm never mind." he wasn't going to tell that to anyone, because nope, he was NOT a crybaby. Warily looking toward the front, he wonders if that hat might still tell everyone that.

Rhea turned around when she heard a familiar voice. The smile she had on her face broadened when she saw who it was.
"Kevin! How are you?" she asked lowering the poster.
"Yeah it has been a long while hasn't it?"she said shifting slightly so she kept him and her new hufflepuff friends within clear frontal view.

"So I have a new project working on this term..well its kinda of spontanious and not all that well planned but its for a good cause. I trust you have seen the posters that Varius Tipps put up on the train yeah? Well...I made some posters of my own..See.." Once again she held up a flier.

"hi abigail i'm kyrie nice to meet you "kyrie said smiling and putting her hand out to shake abigails hand "would you like to be friends"

He glared at Reese for a moment before he got a hold of his emotions. "You know I love you, Reese. But no! And I'm not going to look at your eyes 'cause you are going to try to kiss me again if I do. Aren't you?" He didn't trust her right now. He wasn't sure when he would be able to trust her again.

"Yes, " sighed Sara. "Sorry about the whole yelling thing, but I thought I'd give it a try. I guess it backfired... big time. Normally, in the muggle world, I just sit back and listen... Oh well, the deed's been done, and I've lost most of my potential friends. Thanks for talking to me though."

“Oh come on Arrick smile it’s not that bad. Tell me about your self...where are you from?” Abigail figured she may as well try and get this boy out of his shell.



Abigail smiled at Lucille ‘Yea my Mum but I’m not going to go there’ she though. The last thing Abigail needed was everyone finding out about her life, it usually leads to sympathetic looks.

“Yea some. Are you glad to be in Hufflepuff?”

Kevin smiled and said "I have been good thanks Rhea and yeah i have seen them and i think your posters are good and plus werewolves should have rights and stuff not what Varius thinks" Kevin had met Varius last term but really Kevin thought that Varius was weird

"its ok and i'm sure you haven't lost potential friends heritage doesn;t bother me i'd still like to be friends you seem like a lovely girl and your welcome anytime you need someone to talk to don;t be afraid to come and find me" kyrie said smiling

Lucille nodded. "Yes," she answered. "My dad was in hufflepuff. My mum's a muggle." she smiled at the end of her sentence. "So, what are you looking foreward to this year?"

Rhea grinned and grabbed Kevin's shoulders pulling him into a tight bear hug. It meant a lot to her that he liked them.
"Thanks Kevin," she said once she had released him.
"I just hope the other kids are as Open and understanding as you are."

Kevin nodded and said "I hope they are too Rhea and plus i think that after what happened last term should serve as an eye opener to any students"

"Hi Abbigail," sighed Sara. "Sorry about the whole yelling thing, but I thought I'd give it a try. I guess it backfired... big time. Normally, in the muggle world, I'm really quiet and just sit back and listen to the people around me. Oh well, the deed's been done, and I'm in the doghouse now!"

"It's been nice to meet you though," Sara said, apologetically. "and I can promise there'll be no more yelling in the future."

Even though she was quite annoyed, Brody still smiled when Torin put his arm around her. HA. Take that Reese! She had to smirk as well. This girl was not going to get Torin. She had no chance what so ever! And then Torin kissed her cheek to. Haha Awesome.
"How am I meant to ignore her when she's stealing you from me." Brody pouted, before resting her head on his shoulder. She was really trying to show Reese that she was Torin's. And she always got what she wanted.

"You don't listen to younger people?" Brody rolled her eyes, looking at Reese and glaring. "Well trust me. You'll listen to my fist when it hits your face." She scowled. She knew her mother never would let her out the house if she ever heard that she had punched someone, but this was really a situation where it was needed.

Rhea sighed as she recalled the happenings of last term. So much had happened that she still didn't believe it all.
"You'd be surprized to know just how stubborn people can be Kev." She looked around the common room and all the smiling and nervous faces. Hogwarts really was home.

"So anyways, how are you and your girlfriend doing?"

Kevin nodded and said "Yeah that is true Rhea and well i am doing good but Vicky is no longer my girlfriend we split up during the summer for good" Kevin was enjoying the single life

Shaking Kyrie’s hand she smiled at the girl “Of course we can! So where are you from?” Abigail was glad that she was making friends, you can’t go 7 years in a place as big as without friend.


“Yea I can’t wait! I’ve been looking forward to this for years, just the chance to get away from home and meet new people is great. So did you go to muggle primary school?” She was interested in meeting people who had been sent to muggle primary schools just like herself, it had been a weird experience at the beginning but she loved it.

Rhea's smile fell a little.
"Oh I'm sorry, you're doing O.K though so thats good." A cheeky grin then spread across her lips.
"You know Kev, as soon as the Hogwarts girls hear that you're single, they are going to be all over you." She chuckled a bit.
"You better put on your girl guard."

Lucille was delighted that someone was as excited as her. "Yes me to,"she said.
"No, i didn't go to a muggle primary school. Dad decided to give me a head start in magic. Mum tried to teach me things like maths, but dad said it wasn't important." she chuckled. "Did you? What was it like?"

"Say what, that you're a tosser and ought to go home?" Arrick snorted again. "Y'might be lucky. The hat's stupid, it's supposed to put you somewhere in this room, that's what it does. I ernt think it's programmed to toss anyone out."

Oh, how he HATED icebreakers. Arrick seriously considered sticking a big plaque on his head that said who he was, where he was from, and what flavor ice-cream he liked best.

"How'd'you know it's not bad," Arrick grumbled, "Y'haven't even seen the rest of this place. Or read that dodgy newspaper. Whomever wrote in it thought this place ernt safe."

Realizing how stupid he probably looks for sitting under a table hiding, he wonders how he can get out without looking really childish now. His stomach rumbles as he ponders what he should do now.

The sortings probably already over... he thinks concerned now. How stupid, it's probably just a computer thingie inside. Duh!
