There's plenty of seating at the back of the train. Grab a compartment with your friends, it's time to head back to school!

It would be very difficult not to notice them unless you were blind to parchment or couldn't read.
He stuck one last parchment onto the last remaining empty pane of glass, satisfied with his distribution. Reaching into his backpack, he removed another bundle of fliers, this time they were different from the ones he had been splattering about the back of the train. Instead of sticking these new ones up, he moved himself into the middle carriages of the train.
The young boy that I was sitting with had still not talked to me. "Are you hungry?" I asked. "I am going to go get something to eat." I got up and opened the door. Turning I look at him and smiled. "I'll Bring some stuff back for you too." I smiled walking into the hallway. Turning back I asked "Do you want to come?"
Mariel was sort of lost in thought as Sarah talked a little about Hogwarts and current events until she mentioned Durmstrang and her father. Looking back up at her, she nodded solemnly. "I thought so too," she agreed. "In fact, my stay at Hogwarts is conditional and may be temporary." But she certainly hoped not.
Mariel gave Daisy a warm smile as she sat down and offered her a Lemondrop from the box she had again pulled from her pocket. Time for the nearly 15 year old to have another one as well and she helped herself to her favorite sweet. The Ravenclaw looked curiously back at Sarah as she then explained her previous, and unheard to Mariel, words. Oh, she had one of those posters that Mariel had seen earlier. Shaking her head sadly, she told both girls as they discussed the incident, "It may have been an accident, but that's too much of a risk to take. It's really dangerous to have werewolves around. I mean, I think that's pretty obvious now, seeing what happened last term." She looked over at Daisy when she said she hadn't been there. "I was there," she said softly. "It was really scary. And if Professor Bontecou hadn't stepped in..." she shuddered at the thought. "Professor Lupa had been dangerously close to attacking a group of first years. What if she had bitten one of them? Or one of us?" Mariel knew most of her friends had been in attendance. "I heard Professor Bontecou barely survived. Someone younger might have been killed."
Mariel suddenly stopped as she noticed Sarah's eyes continually darting out the window. She stared at her for a moment, then turned her head in the same direction to try to see what was so interesting. "Sarah, what are you--" she started, then Sarah excused herself and left. Staring after her for a moment, she looked at Daisy and shrugged. Maybe she saw her boyfriend. Which strangely reminded her of the canary creams stowed in her trunk that she had bought earlier that summer. Screwing up her face slightly as she wondered why that particular thought came into her mind, she shook her head slightly and pulled out her pink lip gloss.
She had just started to apply it to her lips in the small mirror she had pulled from her other pocket, when she heard the door open again. Quickly shoving both items in her pocket, she looked up fully expecting to see Sarah and Ryder - not that she knew what Ryder looked like. At first a little surprised as the newcomers entered - since when did Sarah and Nathaniel get along well enough to invite one over to the other's compartment? - Mariel resumed her cheerful smile as she greeted them. "Hi Nathaniel... and Sammi. Hello," she smiled back at the younger girl as she sat down next to her. So this was Nathaniel's little sister. "I hear you want to be in Ravenclaw... Good choice," she added with a grin. Who wouldn't want to be a Ravenclaw?

At the mention of Sammi wanting to be in Ravenclaw he looked at Mariel with a teasing grin "Oh, yea, GREAT choice" he rolled his eyes. Although he'd rather if Sammi was in Gryffindor with him if she did end up in Ravenclaw he could use that to his advantage. He patted his bag reassuring himself that the presents he had for Mariel were in there... just in case. "I would love to be in Ravenclaw! Nate wants me to be a Gryffie. But blue is my favorite color!" Although smiling, she noticed the slight awkwardness of Nate and Mariel's conversation. Deciding to shutup, Sammi turned to the window and stuck her face to it, ready to watch the passing scenery.
Chewing on her thumb nail,Sarah listened to Mariel as the conversation continued about Hogwarts. She knew her father could be strict, and wasn't surprised that he threatened to pull her out of school and send her elsewhere. "Conditional?" she asked, taking her thumb out of her mouth and letting her hand drop into her lap. "Well then I certainly hope nothing bad happens.I don't want you leaving, you're my best friend." The thought actually filled her with dread.
With the theme staying on bad things, werewolves were once more top of the agenda.Sarah had to admit that what Mariel was saying was completely the truth. It should never have happened, really, and who ever came up with the bright idea was now probably feeling extremely foolish. "Yeah it was quite scary, and disturbing, too." Lowering her head she thought of the look in Lupa's eyes when she was transforming...the hungry look.At the time it made her glad she had been near the back, making it easier to escape. "Does anyone know who actually came up with the idea?" she suddenly asked, shaking all visuals out of her head and looking back up to Mariel and Daisy.
Having re-entered their compartment,Sarah could see Mariel's slightly confused look as she sat back down, Nathaniel and Sammi right behind her.She knew that they had not got off to the best of starts a couple of terms ago, but she was going to make the effort. After all they were both best friends with Mariel and it wouldn't hurt to try and get along.
Drawing her legs up, and crossing them under her on the seat, Sarah sat back and watched their conversation unfold. When the mention of Diagon Alley came up,she wasn't sure whether he wanted her answer or just Mariel's.But seeing as her's would bring the mood down again, she kept quiet, deciding instead to watch Sammi with amusement as she stuck her face to the window.Leaning forward towards the girl,Sarah smiled at her. "Hey Sammi. You looking forward to your first term?" OH the old chestnut of a question. The one every firstie got at some point...usually more than once.Hopefully it was a conversation that wouldn't distract anyone else.....

Iris looked up as she saw Satine come in and hug her. "Satine! Oh my God! I've not seen you ages! How are you? Did you have a good summer?" Argh! So many questions!
Iris grinned at her as she went to hug Aaron, but a weird feeling soon overtook her that she couldn't shake off.

Now, the green guy was right. She didn't like Mystic last year, and she certainly wasn't liking how close Aaron seemed to be with her. She tried her best to keep any foul emotions off her face by plastering on a believable smile.

Iris watched to Mystic talk about her absense last year, though she wasn't really listening to the girl. Her mind had wandered to Aaron. And so did her eyes, actually. But luckily, because he was stood next to Mystic, noone would notice her staring at him (or so she hoped).
"Oh ... Well, thats interesting ... I guess..." Iris said when Mystic had finished talking, "Er ... Are you gonna be hanging around with us more this year then?" She asked with a fake smile.
I really do not like her. I know you don't.
I like her hair though. I know you do ... wait - you do?
Yes. Not as much as Satines though. Because that explains so much.
It does. Of course it does. You just don't like her because she's friends with Aaron.
Iris looked at everyone in the compartment, wondering how last year had gone by so fast and how she had ended up being friends with so many different kinds of people. it was wierd.
She's never heard a boy say that before? That was a good thing? He hoped it was. Even though she was it was nice he wasn't sure if she meant it. Then again there was no sarcasm in her voice. "Really?" He had to admit that that was a bit surprising. He had expected that more guys than just him would say something like that.
"Yeah, it's just so frustrating. 'cause of Shana and all."
Sylvia giggled, it was like Torin didn't believe she was telling the truth. To be honest, she was a bit unsure either. She nodded. "Yeah. It's nice that you are really dedicated." The only other dedicated guy she knew was Miles. Sigh, she wished Terry was dedicated. "And for the record, I'm not being sarcastic." Sylvia winked, it was so hard to tell when it came to her.
"I had a talk with Shana actually, it was quite odd having my best friend being called evil right infront of me." Sylvia shrugged, they had both heard about each other anywho. "You have to learn to ignore the ... 'haters'." She air-quoted. She'd NEVER use those words again.
pushing past all the first and second years. Lukus found this part of getting to Hogwarts the worst because he had to be around the first and second years the most. and also he had to making conversation which Lukus found partically difficult. After finally finding an empty carriage he threw his bag into the around and sat down gazing out of the window.

Cela gasped audibly and drew her wand, immediately marching just outside of the compartment and pointing it at this MEANGIRLWHOWASBEINGMEANTOWILLIECROCKER!
"If you hit one of myyyy Crockers again I'll totally like, takeyoudownandstuff!" Cela lifted her chin stubbornly and pointed her wand unerringly at the girl, her now returned purse slung over Cela's opposite shoulder.
The girl was either blind or, well, had terrible judgment. Daphne Hopton had barely moved an inch from between the doorframe and the compartment when the girl started assaulting the still unmoving boy when--Celandine pushed past her, whipped out her wand, made a few promises and declared the boy to be Willie Crocker.
"William Isaac Crocker?!" shouted the blond, walking around Cela to advance towards the nameless girl and Willie. Kneeling beside him, Daphne pushed the hood covering his face back. "Willie! What are you doing? Are you okay?"
What had he been doing? Honestly--ever since Diagon Alley he had been acting stranger than usual. Why wasn't Garret around to take care of his brother? That boy.
Looking over her shoulder at her best friend, the Hopton girl waved a hand trying to get Cela to lower her wand. "Take it easy, Celly!" she whispered urgently. That was, of course, before she turned her hazel eyes towards the girl. Frowning at her, Daphne tutted.
"I was actually being nice to you about the entire purse thing. I think you're very mean and rude."

She had been in there at the time Forrester had been murdered even though she couldn't help in the investigation, since she hadn't seen or heard anything. But she couldn't stop thinking about it.

Sighing he felt a tear run down his cheek before dripping silently onto his coat. I want her back and I'll do anything to get her, but I don't know how.
He was about to try to device a way to get her back when someone ripped open the compartment door. Why was it that he could seemingly not even find peace in the last compartment on the train? Turning his head to look out the window he decided that it would be better not to look at whoever disturbed his solitude since he'd likely end up blowing up at them. He wasn't nice when feeling either depressed or angry, normally though he would mask those emotions quite well. This was not one of those days.
The lurch of the train was somewhat sudden and unexpected and so Reid wasn't totally surprised when a girls body ended up sprawled in front of him. He'd reached out slowly to catch the person but his reaction times were slower than normal and he just couldn't seem to care about anything. Nevertheless he did offer the girl a hand to get up should she so chose to use it.
Turning at the sound of the voice Reid's eyes softened almost imperceptibly. He should have known it would be his clumsy Rachel. Although technically she wasn't his Rachel any more. Taking in her appearance his eyes widened slightly in shock at what he was seeing. This wasn't the Rachel he remembered! What did he do to her? "It's fine, I mean I'm probably the last person you want to see on this planet at the moment so I don't think you did it on purpose." his voice was a whisper as he didn't want her to hear just how hoarse it was. It wasn't very manly to have to admit to crying your eyes out after all. He added a slight smile to his words but it was self derivative and his eyes spoke of how much else he wanted to say to her. Wanted to say but didn't have the right to any more.
This. was. SO. not. happening. It just couldn't - WHAT had she done to deserve this?!
. . .
Hastily picking herself up from the floor and away from his knees - away from HIM - she felt a roll of fatigue roll in and her vision darkened. Great. Sitting down opposite him, next to the door, she focused intently on where the floor should be as she waited for the head rush to pass, feeling her heart beat a mile a minute as she fully took in where she was, what had happened, and who she was with when it did.
"Um," she began, still looking at the floor even though she could now see perfectly well. "You aren't the last person - I really do think that if Sienna was here, I'd be more disappointed," she stated in a low voice, not caring how she sounded. Truth was, he was kind of right. But it felt better to say she hated Sienna than to say that she hated him. Because she didn't hate him... And he was never allowed to know that.
You probably sound childish to him, a bitter voice in her head said, immature and crazy. And that's without the fact that you look like you hadn't slept since you saw him last. And the sad thing? She pretty much hadn't. Sleep - none, crying - way too much.
"Sorry. . . I'm just tired," she finally added, feeling a lump grow in her throat. Her sixth year was NOT supposed to start like this. It just wasn't. She was a mess and even her new school books hadn't been enough to get her excited. Jake had looked sick with worry whenever he looked at her, and when she had been unresponsive to her new textbooks he had nearly fainted. She was making everyone miserable around her.
And it was all Reid's fault. And her's. But more Reid's because she was much too exhausted to take the blame for anything right now.

It was as if God had bestowed a miracle on him! He was going to be free! Free! Although, that didn't last for long as he thought she had turned and asked him about his well-being. Willie swallowed, about to answer to her when all of the sudden...

She looked over at him, glaring at him for only a second, and then moving back into her much more sympathetic expression. And then...she smack his arm.
"YOU IDIOT!! Why the heck did you steal that girl's purse? Do you realize you could have been in trouble? You could have gotten ME in trouble?" Lucy stopped to look at him, waiting for a response. But then, she decided she didn't want to hear one from him, and smacked him again on the arm. "If you're gonna steal, be careful. And...what am I saying? DON'T EVER STEAL!! It's bad, don't you know that?" she said. She barely even knew the kid and yet she was already looking out for him. It seemed as if every person she had met so far was one whom she felt worthy of looking out for. Must be a strange new characteristic of hers.
"OWWWWW" He howled in pain. The girl had smacked him on his arm, moving his shoulder awkwardly. The feeling was like pins were pushed into his shoulders, and that was not a nice feeling. He rolled onto his other side, pulling his knees up to his chest, curling up into a ball. Who could believe that just an hour or so ago he was the one who was being bullied. He didn't listen to a word the girl said, focusing on making a plan to escape her or something, but then she hit him again.
"STOP IT" he cried out. WHY WAS SHE HITTING HIM?!

Oh no!
No, no, no, no! It couldn't be Cella! Willie didn't want both Daphne AND Cela to be here. It would be horrifying, if they'd realize that he was stealing. Willie simply lied there still in a curled up position, not daring to move one bit, afraid that the girl would hit her shoulder again.

She was. Gosh.
Well, he didn't think it would turn out like that. Daphne shouted his full name and he groaned softly. Why had she had to call him like that?! She had also knelt down beside him and pushed the hood that was covering his face. He had his eyes closed tightly and not because he was hurt, but he reallyyyyy didn't want to look into Daphne's eyes. She might see through him just like Garret did.
This was really not how he thought his day would turn out to be.

Reason: I DIDN'T SEEE YOU PERSON.
Iris looked up as she saw Satine come in and hug her. "Satine! Oh my God! I've not seen you ages! How are you? Did you have a good summer?" Argh! So many questions!
Iris grinned at her as she went to hug Aaron, but a weird feeling soon overtook her that she couldn't shake off.
oooh. Jealous ...
What? no I'm not. you are!
why would I be jealous of Satine? she my friend! but she's hugging Aaron
but she hugged me too...
Iris was brought from her argument with herself by the new face.
Now, the green guy was right. She didn't like Mystic last year, and she certainly wasn't liking how close Aaron seemed to be with her. She tried her best to keep any foul emotions off her face by plastering on a believable smile.
"Hi Mystic, Are you OK?"

Aaron was smiling and looked down at Iris. He saw a look of '*sigh*' and wondered why. He figured that Iris didn't like Mystic that much. Looks like she's jealous, dude.
When did you come back? I thought I left you at Diagon Alley. Nope, we're still here.
Oh... Well, okay then.
Mystic then said something in a way that said she had met someone. Oh.. Well, okay, we survived without her last term. "oh... okay." He then moved away from her and went back to Satine and Iris. "We'll miss you, but we can survive."
He then thought that the whole crew was there... Except, "Fallon." He then looked at his friends. "Guys, where's Fallon." She hadn't showed up yet. he figured she was migling with other people around the train. But then:

Lucy looked from one girl to the next, not realizing the position she had totally just put herself in. Great. Now she was the bad one. GRRRREEEAAAAT. Now what? Start apologizing? She'd already apologized a bunch of times. It's not like she meant to be rude...she didn't even know she was being rude! She was just looking out for...Willie? They know him? Both of them know this kid who's name is...Willie. Hmm. Well, that's just grand. GRRRRRRAAAAAND. Start associating yourself with others and you get stuck with "MEAN GIRL" label. So many things had just happened, and had just been revealed...Crocker, Celly...what?! All Lucy could focus on was how she was "rude" and "mean."
"I am not rude at all!!" Lucy said firmly but also as firmly as possible. "I...How can you label that rude and mean?" Seriously, though. How was it mean? Does caring for someone else automatically make them mean? FINE. It that was mean and...rude...then forget it. She might as well go back to minding her own business and not interfering in anything and...BLAH.
"Forget it..." Lucy said disappointedly as she pulled herself up and straightened out her clothes. "Sorry." She looked at the boy--Willie--once more, and then, she began walking away without another word.

Xy fought the urge to roll her eyes as Mina's dramatic ideas about home. It was like that a lot - perhaps that was why she was always flicking around during the holidays? Who cared, anyway? Not Xy any more.
'Yes,' she answered fondly, thinking to her baby brother. It was good to get some males back into the family - there were a grand total of four to about sixteen girls now. 'Some of my cousins already staked a claim on him - Kali especially.' The five year old was hilarious.
She raised an eyebrow much like Mina's at her questioning. 'I'm not allowed to stare?' she asked coolly, crossing her arms across her chest and frowning. 'Wow. That's something I'll need to put in the rule book: Do not stare at Mina.' She nodded, making a show of reaching into her pocket to withdraw a notebook and self-inking quill, and pretending to scribble something down.
'So you know we overheard. That'd be me, Briar, Em and Le. Or, at least, that's those of us who understood what was being said.' She shuddered. 'But I'm just grateful the younger ones didn't understand any of it. If they had you'd be in serious trouble.' She swung her legs back to the floor abruptly.
She turned to the door, sliding it open. 'I need to take a walk,' she lied, sparing no glance back at the older girl. 'I'll ... I'll find you later.' She turned down the corridor, desperate to avoid her again. She didn't want another conversation just yet.
That could have been handled better. Mina scowled in the direction her cousin had just left, closing her eyes and leaning her head back against the seat. Stupid relatives; sometimes she wished they would all just go away and disappear. It would be easier - no eavesdropping resulting in confrontations that weren't quite, like this one was.
She mumbled a word so quietly she herself didn't hear it, so what hope did Xylina have, wherever she'd headed do? 'Guess I have to find her at school,' she muttered, feeling despair at the mere thought. Perfect. Just perfect.

Apparently Willow Kovac and her friend Evolette McKenna were completely blanking them now. Well, that was their loss, wasn't it? And Daphne Hopton.. Woodson didn't have the foggiest idea where she had gotten off to.
His biggest concern right now though, was Sebastian.
It was almost like that girl, Miss Celandine was provoking him. She spoke about being smart. Provoking a Whitcomb was NOT smart. Not smart at all. Sebastian was fuming, he didn't need twin senses to know that much.
"We've studied Astronomy, yes," the fifteen year old informed politely, hoping he could at least calm his brother down with his calm demeanor.
Study groups? He thought not.

Fascinating. He was like a weird combination of her brother Nico and Dom-in-ick Denton.
"Oh that wasn't bragging." Cela answered cheerfully. "It's all true. Fact even. You know what I suck at? Quidditch!" Celandine laughed a little, even though the memory of her smooshed and bruised face was painful, she had enjoyed the entire experience.
"Only the one nickname, Seb. And it's totally on account of your name being long like mine. Sea-Bass-Tea-On. It's like... fish for dinner."
Sebastian was still pointedly ignoring any of the girls on their compartment, his blue eyes fixed on his brother. And he had pratically ask Sebastian to try and be nice to them? Why would he do that? They were awful people!
He was quite happy with the ones ignoring him but the others ... ugh. Like this one. The Touissant. Noticing Woodson's attempt at keeping him calm, Sebastian nodded his head at his brother. Fine, he'd stay calm.
But only because he didn't want to get Woodson in trouble.
Quidditch? That lame sport Miriam had told them about? Rolling his eyes a bit, Sebastian managed to look back at the girl. No one could be that oblivious, right? Didn't she notice he didn't want to talk to her? And Seb was the lamest nickname ever! So unworthy of someone like Sebastian. "You also aren't that good at catching hints, are you? Or at being quiet. Or at respecting people's wishes."
"So you don't have an allergic reaction to sugar?" Sabrina asked, cocking her head at him as she took in this new turn of events. Hyper.
Sugar caused him to be hyper.
So his face didn't go all blochy and weird whenever he ate sugar. It's just a sugar rush. Phew. Because really, who can survive without sugar? No one, that's who. "Calming draughts? Two times a day?" This guy must be really hyper, She thought, watching him rock from side to side. Well, maybe she should really not have chocolate in front of him. It'll make him want to have some.
Sabrina hid the bag of chocolates as the boy introduced himself and she smiled back at him. Know what? She might actually like this boy. He wasn't like those other annoying boys at school. He was nice. She even almost forgot about Samson talking to this boy. "I am Sabrina Evanstar." This boy does not know of Sabrina the teenage witch, does he? PLEASE!!!!
She'd heard it too many times before.
The blonde blinked as Jake suddenly grabbed his throat as though he was trying to strangle himself. WAS HE?! "Err ..." Was she supposed to guess what he was talking about? "Jack was strangling himself?" Or was Jake trying to strangle himself?
Whaaaaaat?
Okay, she didn't care if he heard about Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Sabrina liked this guy and would forgive him if he mentioned it.
"I get incredibly ill when I have it," Jake explained, tapping his fingers on the seat after he released his throat. "But not until after the sugar rush has worn off. I ended up being ill for quite a while. And it messes with the chemicals in my brain. The hospital said it's not an orthodox allergic reaction, they were just going to call it an allergy, ya know?" Buuuuut enough about Jakey's health. Oh, not yet.
"Two times a day," the pink-haired boy nodded, speaking quite matter-of-factly. "It was the hospital's condition for letting me out," Jakers grinned, unaware he might have said anything that could alarm someone.
As the conversation moved on, Jake looked down at the girl's cat again and over to Lolcat, who was sleeping peacefully. Stupid sleep. "Sabrina, huh? That's a wicked-awesome name. I've never met any 'Sabrina's before," Jake explained, fidgeting as he tried to get comfortable. Well... to be honest, as soon as he managed that he'd probably fall asleep. Jakers hadn't slept the night before, having insisted to his foster mother that since it was his thirteenth birthday, he should have the chance to stay up all night.
And he did... so it looked like Jake's tradition of sleeping at every single feast wasn't dying this year.
Giggling at Sabrina's interpretation of his little charade, Jake then shook his head. "Nah, he was trying to strangle me."

Iris looked at Mystic again, "Well as long as we see you at least some of the time if all that matters, right? So we can keep calling each other friends ... " Iris was going to say something else when yet another person came to the compartment door.
"Fallon! Hi! ... How are you?" Iris stood up and hugged her before sitting back down, sitting closer to the window to make more room for someone to sit down next to her. Iris looked back at Aaron and wondered if Fallon remembered what had happened that day in Diagon Alley.

Iris decided to look out of the window and watch the fields and sheep go past whilst Aaron and Mystic were catching up on everything. She smiled to herself as Aaron sat down next to her. She looked away from the window. Sheep weren't all that interesting, especially when they just looked like white blurs whizzing past them.
Iris wasn't sure if Aaron was speaking to her or not when he asked 'how are you', she figured he was speaking to Fallon. She looked at Fallon and grinned at her, whilst really wanting Aaron to hug her again, like he did when Evan was there. But she knew he wouldn't ... not when there was so many people there and no Evan. A pale blush had appeared on her cheeks again.
Maybe you should just permanantly wear red blusher. then no one would know when you are embarrassed.
And Maybe you should just shut up.

"Great Iris," Fallon said hugging her friend. She took a seat across from Iris. The last time she had seen Iris and Aaron was that day in Diagon Alley. She never knew how that turned out. She wasn't going to bring that up right now though.
