Looking her over Demetri could see her eyes beginning to glaze over as she grew tired but quickly changed after she started blabbing about liking but not obsessing and... a jumble of sentences that made him laugh. He noded sarcastically trying not to smile too much. She was too cute when she did that.

Finally she slowed down and took a deep breath before saying she did like him. Demetri didnt immediately answer but instead turned her under again twirling her. "Well. thats good thatyou like me. Cause.. I might sorta like you too." he said with a smile bringing her back into him. "What you think about that?"

Inside of Demetria were a zillion little butterflies hopping up and down in excitement. She really wanted to say, Omg no way really this is sooo exciting! but that would've been a major deal breaker. So instead she smiled and said, "I think you have pretty good taste." Demetria closed her eyes again as he twirled her. Suddenly all of her tiredness had been filled with excitement. She could stay at this party until sunrise.

"So I like you, you...sorta like me," she smiled. "What now?" she looked up at him and asked.

Demetris eyes hadnt went off her as they danced. He didnt think he even noticed anyone else in the party.. except for his mothers dead face appearing infront of his face as Demetria asked what now.

"Umm" he said fluttering his eyes trying to make the image of his mother disappear. Gahh... why did she have to try this now? Shaking his head he stopped dancing and rubbed his eyes. It only seemed to make things worse. His mom was trying to talk to him now. He had to shut his mind. That was the only way he could stop her from talking to him. "Hey come with me." he told Demetria taking her hand andhurrying into the hall. "Just one second. I need to clear my mind.." he sad cracking his neck and relaxing. He was goi to have to tell her what was happening.. cause it was going to keep happening.

Clearing his mind, his moms face became angry as she realized what he wasdoing. But she was disappearing. After a few more minutes she was gone totally. Good.

Opening his eyes he looked at demetria and gave her a smile. "Sorry about that but first before I tell you anything else.. I wanna ask you something. Would it be horrible if.. we were to go out sometime?" he asked giving her a small smile andrunning a hand through his hair.

Demetria was taken aback by him shaking his head. "Uhm.... are you ok?" she asked. Was it something she said? Next thing she knew she was running with him into the hall. Oh no we're going to get in trouble for being out this late! We need to be either at the party or in our dorms!! the worry ran through her head as she waited in the dark corridor for him to talk.

Finally he was better. She bit her lip wondering what was going on. *Gasp* did he just ask her out?? "It wouldn't be completely horrible." she teased. "I'd love to go out with you sometime." she smiled still holding his hand. "Now....what do you need to tell me?"

Who knew, a bad boy like himself would get together with a sweet Gryfindor. He could just picture what his dad would say. But he didnt want to. He was happy right now. although he would never fully admit it. "Good." he said givng her a genuine smile and giving her hand a squeeze.

"OK so next, that litle thing in there." he said leaning against the wall. He would be sure to make sure that they .. well if anything she wouldnt get into trouble for being out here. "Well, i sort of.. well to make a long story short my dad cast thisspell on me when i was small. Ever since then close realtives would try and talk to me.. but the only thing is.. thier dead. But whats bad about it was.. most of them are extremely evil. My dad was trying to get them to come through me.. sort of like resurrecting. Its dark magic. Ive learned to control it. I jsut... I dont want you to get scared away cause I can control it. But thats what was happening. And its going to be happening alot.." he said rubbing his eyes with his left hand. "Im sorry. You can say im too wrong for you. Go ahead." he didnt want her to but.. he owuld understand.

Demetria smiled back up at him, not fully expecting what he was going to say next.

Wow she definatly did not expect that.

"Oh wow, uhm, I wasn't expecting that." she smiled at him a bit awkwardly. "But I can handle it." she assured him. "i have a bunch of friends with....interesting things. I mean, I'm friends with a werewolf, one of my friend's eyes change color with her mood, one of my old friends was an airbender, not quite sure what happened to her though....." she babbled on a bit. "But trust me, I think I can handle it."

Wow. Thank merlin she didn't have any special gifts or snything like that. She wouldn't be able to handle herself, but other people she was ok with.

"And I know a little bit about dark magic. My twin brother goes to Durmstrang." she explained to him. "Your not wrong for me. Some of the most fun I've had this term has been with you." she assured him, smiling. "Can you just do me a favor and give me a little heads up before something like that happens?" she knudged him playfully.

THANK GOODNESS! she understood... at least she seemed to. She would never really understand until she had the power for herself... but he hoped she would never have to. "Good" he said with a smiled and grabbed her hand pulling her a little closer. "Thanks for coming to the party with me. How about we go ahead and head back in. I got a few more dance steps on me but... fast dancing.. noo." he said with a wink.

Demetria smiled at him as he pulled her closer. "Actually..." she put her face close to his, "I'm kind of ready to head back to the common room. A bunch of people are starting to leave anyways." Their noses were practically touching. "That ok with you?" she asked.

"Mmmmm.. I dunno. See.. I like the position we are in right now." he said with a chuckle as thier noses almost touched. "But if you want. You canhead back.. Im wanting a midnight run." he said with a playful wiggle of the eyebrows. "By the way. the water has been fixed and the merpeople are out. Looks like we wont be sharing a common room after all." he said looking at her and grinning. He wondered what she would do if he kissed her right now.. probably smack him. But maybe not..

"What would you do if I kissed you right now?" he asked out if interest although he hadnt tried anything

"I like it too." she smiled. Oh yea, the merpeople were gone. Dang. "Aw man and just when we were getting close too." Literally. They were only inches away from each other, any closer their faces would've been touching....not that she would mind that. She blushed a bit when he asked her about kissing. "You have to try to find out." she squinted her eyes and smiled.

the smile spread wider as he looked down at her. "Well... i guess I will have to find out." he said with a wink. They were pretty close now so kissing her wasnt going to be that hard. It wasnt like this was his first kiss. taking his hand he cupped her chin and leaned forward closing his eyes and kissed her. It wasnt a fast kiss but it wasnt long lasting. Pulling away his thumb smoothed over her chin and he smiled. "Ahh.. and your reaction?" he said with a smirk.

Omigosh she didn't think he would actually do it! She thought he was just messing with her. As he pulled away, she opened her eyes slowly and smiled. "Seems like you like me more then you thought." she said to him. Demetria was still in a bit of a daze of what just happened. Something her older sister said popped into her mind, always leave them wanting more.

Dem put herself back in talking distance and took his hand again. "Well like I said, I'm gonna go back to the common room. Have fun running." she reached up and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for an awesome night." she squeezed his hand, then began walking back to the common room. As soon as she turned the corridor, she began doing happy dances down the hall.

Demetri laughed as she pulled away. No slapping. Good. He watched her as she walked around the corner and left him alone. OO yah. This had been an awesome night. he wasnt very tired and no morning classes tomoro so the run was starting to sound real good. He need to clear his mind some more anyways.

Taking off in a jog, he headed toward the Lake. His favorite place to run.

She glanced out to where a pair of students were mysteriously dancing to some music of their own heads. Great. Fanstastic. And then they were snogging and before she could say anything they were gone.

"Well then. It's about time you all head back to the castle. I think this party needs to come to an end." Professor Bunbury clapped her hands together and then abruptly led the way down the path and back toward the pond. The candles followed to provide some light for the departing students.
