Yelling. There was lots of yelling. And why was there splashing? Karma had turned from her table to see...

"MERLIN'S DANCING PANTS!"

She flung herself from the Ravenclaw table, knocking over the dishes and food that was on top, and any of her belongings that had been around at the time. There were people... underwater? And she heard Emiliano use 'Relashio', but that could only mean one thing.

Grindylows.

What the hell were they doing in the castle? Jumping from bench to bench, trying to avoid the ever rising water and straying from what was beneath it, Karma hiked up her school robes and jumped until she reached the Slytherin table. She had landed far enough away, (not without almost falling into the water, mind you) and walked along the bench towards where Emiliano was holding onto a very tiny girl, who happened to roll over and vomit at the same time Karma arrived. What a pleasant welcoming.

"Sweet beans in a basket," she muttered, instantly forgetting about her wand. Placing her hand on the girl's back, she rubbed and patted slightly, trying to see if any more of the stupid water would come up. "I know this hurts, but you have to keep doing it until it's gone." She pulled the girl's hair back and out of the way because that was the last thing she needed, to have a reminder of what had happened today. "It's okay, it's okay..." she said, pulling the girl closer. OH WAIT. There are things called wands, so Karma grabbed hers and conjured a thick, warm blanket for the convulsing girl to wrap her around in it. She pulled the spair hair tie from her wrist and gently wrapped the girl's hair in it so that Karma's other hand would be free in case it was needed.

Looking around at the others, she also conjured blankets for the wet ones, and handed them to them. "Each of you need to go to the hospital wing, now. If you don't think you can go by yourself, I'll get someone to help you."

Lyra shrieked when she felt cold claws grab her ankles suddenly , trying to stay firmly on the table she started to kick the creature away with all her might with her right leg, she suddenly remembered she still had a wand in her hand, she pointed it at the grindylow and shouted "Relashio!" but since it was behind her she couldn't aim well , she tried again , "Relashio!" she shouted again

Whilst being at the hufflepuff table as she icey water had melted and began rising again, Vanessa had noticed the commotion at the Slytherin table. What on earth was going on? There seemed to be an awful lot of yelling and shouting. Sloshing away from the hufflepuff table, the tiny girl made her way towards where all the yelling was going on, intent on finding out what was happened.
This was made a little hard, as it took her longer to get to the table for the water. But when she did. She found Kiri on the floor. What had happened.
"Kiri!" She shouted, rushing a little, to get towards where the people were. "Guys. Whats going on?" She asked, looking worried, as she dropped down next to Kiri, quite glad that there was already a student by her side. "Kiri Sweety. Your gonna be okay." Vannie said quietly, smiling at the girl... Karma.

"We need to get her up to the hospital wing Karma..." Vanessa commented, looking up at the others, trying to see if any of them were hurt too. "And someone needs to inform a member of staff."

Kevin was scared every minute his hand got worse and he was scared that the grindylows were still there lurking in the water.

Kiri vomited up water until it felt as if her insides were being turned inside out. Her body consisted of nothing but pain. The back of her head where she'd hit the table, her hands that had smacked against the ground and the table's underside when she'd been struggling in the water... in her left lower leg, the pain was most intense. Where the Relashio had hit her, it pulsed red hot with every frantic beat of her heart. It felt as if she was bleeding. And finally, her insides were on fire from throwing up all that water. It was just like last time, only that she'd actually been conscious.

As she lay there, panting and gagging and retching, she became faintly aware of voices around here. Someone was rubbing her back, and a cool hand crept up on her face and pulled her hair away. One of the voices belonged to Vanessa, that much she could make out. So she was okay, at least. In the background, however, Kiri could hear more splashing water. Students were yelling. Grindylows were screeching. They hadn't left yet.
Finally her churning stomach quieted down. Kiri spat into the water one last time, then simply lay there for a few moments, gasping for breath.

There was a dull pain in her head that had nothing to do with the hit she'd taken on the table. She could feel her blood rushing through her body quite clearly. At this, realisation dawned... Kiri had almost drowned.
A second time! Only this time, she'd actually been conscious of it while it was happening. The memories of what had happened only minutes before came back to her vividly. The gurgling water, the pressure on her ears, her burning lungs, the feeling of claustrophobia as the water pushed in all around her... She could have been dead now! How easily her heart could have stopped beating...
Nausea overcame her at this, and she bent over the edge of the table again. But her stomach was empty. Convulsions shook her body again, producing new pain and new tears, but nothing came out.

When they finally stopped, Kiri rolled over, breathing heavily. She was now staring upwards. She felt dizzy.

His head nodded as Kiri spoke. It was a relief that she responded, made him smile slightly. He took a deep breath, trying to find a way around the Great Hall to get out and leave towards the Hospital Wing. Just then, OMG....Kiri vomited in front of him and started to cry because of the pain in her lungs. It was good, right? Yes...it was good. He had almost drowned once, it felt like if hell was already inside his body.

And then, an angel...called out. Emiliano's head turned as Karma aproached them. His sigh of relief became louder, his smile wider as she arrived and started to help Kiri to throw the water out of her lungs. He was gasping for air, he was feeling a bit tired after a bit of effort. Maybe it had been that moment when he just became extremely worried about Kiri and gave his whole strenght to take her out of the water. He was even sweating.

More people came to the Slytherin table, there to help Kiri. Just then, Emiliano saw more students around, now wrapped in blankets. This was a chaos. The whole school had become a chaos. He couldn't believe it. Once back into reality, he saw a Hufflepuff girl, who seemed to know Kiri ready to help. "If we could summon brooms, anything...I think we can be able to take them up to somewhere safe around here." They could do that, right?

Oh, the poor little Slytherin girl was convulsing again. It reminded her of a time before when she was little and very sick, except she hadn't about drowned. At least she knew somewhat about the feeling, anyway. Again, Karma rubbed her back when she bent over towards the water, and softly whispereed, "You'll be just fine, you'll be alright." When she finally pulled herself up again, Karma pulled the girl closer to her own body, helping to wrap the girl in the blanket tighter to keep her warm.

A voice came closer to them, and Karma looked up to see the girl Hufflepuff prefect coming closer. Vanessa, was that her name? Yeah, it was. "Yeah, I just want to make sure she's done first. And that she's alright for now. I think Emiliano and I can get her, and if you get a teacher and someone else to help..." Man, this sucked. Even more for the other people who had actually gone under, not just for the scare of the people around them, trying to help.

She looked over at Emiliano who was now gasping for air. He didn't look as if he had been under the water, but she was sure that the stress might as well have made him sick to his stomach as well. Karma gave him a reassuring smile, seeing as how she was holding onto the Slytherin with both arms. "You were excellent. Now we need to get her up to the Hospital Wing, along with others. Any ideas of how to get out?" Gahh. There was one idea she had, where one ran with Kiri and the other distracted the Grindylows, or they could at least try to conjure brooms or something. But that might knock someone out. "How are we going to get a teacher? Can anyone else besides me do a Patronus? One that can carry a voice?" She would have to learn how to do that sometime. Hopefully a teacher would come soon out of curiosity.

Shouldn't they have heard the yelling by now?

The water was at chest level and rising faster now...

How Emiliano wished his owl could get there in time, like a miracle. Or anything that could fly and deliver a message around the castle, to anyone. House Elves, it ocurred to him. Please, please...make one appear right now, at least just a pop in and out... It was his thought, repeated so many times inside his little head.

Uh oh, Herminny thought as she felt water rising making the table rise higher and was really starting to get freaked out. She turned to the group and blurted out, "Would any of you being against blasting the Entrance door to peices cause we gotta get out of here and since there is water on both sides I don't think we can open the door.". She hoped everyone would see reason cause she didn't want to do anything rash before consulting the group first.

Swim, swim, swim.
Emiliano's chest felt so cold, his body was with no energy to swim, but he knew that whatever it meant, he needed to help get people out of there, right that minute.
"Cling Kiri to my back, I think we must get out swimming. Though, the only spell I can think of to call out is...Sonorus, to make our voice be heard around quite loud...and get rescued." He tried to just think of more, but the shock was taking him step by step, inch by inch of his body covered of water.

GASP. What was he doing in the water?! There was a chance one of the grindylows could come back! "Emiliano, no! Get up! Get out!" Her arms would have been flailing had she not been holding onto the girl. Karma swung her legs on top of the table as the water began to rise higher, and continued to rise. This was SO not good.

"Do you realize there may be other grindylows in there that could try to get us? We have to conjure brooms, or summon them, or SOMETHING. You do that, I'll get - Kiwi? - on the broom and I can blast the doors down if they're shut and have her ride with me, and you can go ahead and alert the nurse while I get her to dry ground or something."

Her head turned to look around at the rest of the students. They couldn't conjure enough brooms to get them all to safety. There had to be some professor who wasn't busy, or something.

Awe the heck with asking permission, I wanna survive this ordeal. She paddled the table as close as she could to the entance the with the water still rising fast. She got up on the table trying to keep balance as she took her wand out, pointed at the door and screamed, "Bombarda", and fell backwards off the table into the ice water with wood shards flying everywhere. She had done it. She quickly swam around the table and out to the Great Hall.

Okay even he could not ignore the sounds of yelling and screaming and as he had made his way into the Entrance Hall, he knew that things were not good. Seeing that Professor Morgan had things under control, Marcus headed into the Great Hall. The Slytherin table was the closest to the doors and he swam over to the table.

Not.

Again.

Spotting Karma, close by he made his way towards her. "Miss Atkins, you need to get out of here now." He looked around at the other students. "All of you need to get out of here." Why was it always him?

Finally, there was a professor there. But he was swimming... where the grindylows could get him! Noooo! Oh wait. He was now getting attitude with her. That would not fly with her.

"Professor Lawson," she began. "Kiwi -" ...that CAN'T be her name... "almost drowned, and we were trying to help her. I really don't want to put her back in the water to swim out... What should we do?" Even wet and angry, he was still HAWT.

Lose the 'tude, and she may not be as snappy. She even debated about asking for a piggyback - swim? - out of her. Ha, yeah right.

"We were considering Summoning brooms... in hopes that Professor Vindictus would understand..."

"I do realize, yes...that those creatures come around as soon as they sniff us again into the water, but we must take that little risk. And I'm sure...that we can take them, we're not far away from the door..." Just then, he left that little idea out of his head and thought about his broom. It was inside a closet, at the Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff Tower "Accio Trueno..." He called out to his broom, hoping it would come across that door soon. It may have taken a minute or so.

And...what a surprise. Professor Lawson was there, swimming towards them.

"It's Kiri...like Kee-Ree..." He now corrected Karma.

"Again? Kiri Starwalker is stuck in this flooding again?" Right, he was really getting slightly annoyed with this whole flooding thing and it seemed he was saving the same students. "Okay, I'll get Kiri. You two just get out, I don't care how you do it. Just DO IT!!"

Marcus, moved through the water as best he could and found the little Slytherin...again. He picked her up in his arms and began to move through the water again. Why did it have to be so cold? Because it was Winter...duh!! "You know, I really, really hate water" he muttered to know one in particular.

"Sir, if you get her out of here to dry area, we'll take her to the hospital wing..." Karma said, as he lifted Kiri - AH that was her name! - from her arms.

She looked over at Emiliano and bit her lip. How were they going to pull this off? Gahh. She really didn't want to swim, but with the water rising and all... She would have to. And then, Lawson made a comment about winter, and freezing water. Well duh it would be cold.

Without thinking, she jumped from the table and into the cold water. FREEZING. COLD. All she could think about was if a grindylow came to get her, she would definitely have to kick that creature in the head, and very, VERY hard, no matter how long Professor Morgan gave her a speech about proper magical creature care. WHATEVER, Prof Morgan, whatever.

"Be careful with Sol..." Emiliano said as he handed Lawson Kiri. And he was talking about that little creature inside the sweater pocket. A Pimgypuff!! He took the little yellow ball of fur and held it with one of his hands, as he got hold of his broom, that was already there.

"Ok..." He rode on and sighed. "This broom stands the weight two more...tell me who to get out..." Em suggested, offering his hand to help.

Karma's head resurfaced after she had searched the water for anyone else for a moment. She coughed slightly, realizing how cold the water really was. She saw Emiliano on his broom, and wished she could ride with him, but there were younger kids who would need it more.

"Find anyone else younger, and get them. Follow Lawson, and I'll meet you hopefully on the 4th floor. I'm going under in case we missed anyone."

Tapping her head, she cast the Bubble Head Charm so that her facial features were severely distorted. Kicking off from the table, she shimmied out of her robe to leave it behind as it would weigh her down. At least she had her wand in her wrist holster. It didn't seem as if there was anyone left, so she proceeded to swim in the direction of the doors.

Lucy looked over at another and said, "Here, I'll help. And watch out, the grindylows are in the hall attacking students." Lucy said before casting the Bubble Head charm and diving into the water. The water stung against the her many cuts, but Lucy sucked it up and swam around looking for younger students. She could barely see through the murkiness, but she had to help some way. She couldn't leave defensly kids to drown, or worse, be eaten by grindylows....eww.

"Lyra, Kevin..." Emiliano called out, obeying orders and considering that they were fine to take on the broom with him. He flew towards them and helped them up to the broomstick.

This was stressful. "I'm taking them to the fourth floor corridor." He told Professor Lawson.

He was having some serious flashbacks from the kitchen level corridor when he had been carrying Kiri to safety back then too. Marcus, heard the kids talking about Grindylows and he gritted his teeth. Seems his lessons had come in handy...who knew huh?

"Remember the spells to use against a Grindylows grip okay. Don't panic, just use your wands. That's what they are there for." He continued to move towards the door with the little Slytherin still in his arms but it was slow going. He was NOT going back to the hospital wing, he would run and hide first.

Vannie had decided that she really did not like water anymore, especially water that was at her chest. It really kind of scared her. But was that Professor Lawson there? At least there was a teacher here now, and they seemed to be getting out. Good, now hopefully the water level wouldn't get above her height, which wouldn't really be that hard. She watched as two students dived under looking for other students, and she really didn't feel like doing that, mainly as she didn't know if she'd be able to get up.
Instead she began swimming, for it was rather hard for her to walk against the height of the water after Lawson. The doors had to be close.

Kevin was helped onto the broom by the older ravenclaw boy and hoped they would get out of here soon he was starting to dislike water because of the amount of flooding that had been happening in the school and basically he didnt like to get stuck in another flood anytime soon.
