Kevin smiled and said "Thanks for the present Shaylee it is wonderful" Kevin looked down and saw the water had frozen and that students were either falling or skating about the hall, Kevin could fell himself skating about and he knew that he could end up on his butt but still he didnt care that much. Kevin was out of control anyway so he went skating about the great hall not in much control though.

Hayley dashed into the Great Hall..her stomach groaning and grumbling from not having eaten all day, "foooooood" it seemed to say.

EEP! There was food and FOOD on the table! Hayley started running. She wanted to eaaaaaaaat!

Unfortunately, she failed to notice the ice surrounding the table..and as she approached, *slipthud* she landed on the ground.

"oowww!" Hayley groaned, having no idea what had just happened, then feeling coldness seep through her robes. "Whyyy is everything cooold!?!?"

Kevin skated about the slytherin table and was quite happy and at home on ice cause he used to play a lot of hockey when he was younger he saw his team mate cameron skating with an older girl and a ravenclaw by the looks of it and he hoped that nobody would walk in and bump into Kevin.

Willie on the other hand had been here earlier when the floor started flooding. At first, he screamed like a girl in a very high pitched voice with his hands linked and tucked under his chin, his shoulder brought together as he squeaked for help. He had every right to since Willie didn't know how to swim.

Although when the water turned into ice, his eyes widened with joy. SNOW! That is... ICE! He had always loved the ice, snow, winter in general. He loved it oh so much. And with all the excitement pouring around that the fact snow was covering the whole great hall, Willie couldn't help himself really...

He took of his shoes with only his socks on, he then took some of the napkins on the tables and then wrapped them around his feet. Taking out his wand, he charmed the napkins to be stiff as a board. With a wicked grin, Willie stood up and then...

He began to skate around the great hall.

"WEE!" He hollered, raising his arms up in the air with joy. Oh how glorious skating in the hall was! He didn't know that it was this much fun! And as he skated to his joyous needs, his eyes caught a small brunette on the floor. Stopping, Willie blinked at her and then skated towards her. "Oh! OII YOU!" He called, pointing his finger at her. He knew her, but he always forgot her name... He always forgot everyone's names except his own and his brother's and of course Mr. Hero.

"Ye alright, aintcha?" Willie asked when he got close enough and leaned onto his knees.

Hayley continued laying on the floor, frustrated with this turn of events. Here she was, all achy from falling, and everyone else was skating around her. Jerks.
And then...Willie was there..."Me...you mean me? My name is Hayley," she knew he forgot...so she decided not to make it any more difficult on him.

"I'm fine..." she said, sitting up on her elbows...."is..is that fun," she asked, indicating to the rest of the skating students. It looked like fun...

"Hayley. HAI-LE. Hayyyy. Heyyyyy-LEEE." He said, testing out the sound on his tongue before he nodded his head as if telling her he'd known her name now.

Willie nodded his head again at the Slytherin girl he had met right under the table on his first day. He grinned at her and gave her his hand for her to take so she could stand up and play with him. "Yeaaah Th'fuuun, arrright. Loaaadth and toannthhh of fun."

Hayley giggled a bit as she listened to him saying her name multiple times.

She took the hand he offered and stood up, rather unsteadily on the ice. "But is it safe?" she asked timidly, not letting go of his hand. If she was going down...he was going down. End of story.

She watched other students whizzing passed, "Alright," she said, nodding a bit, "lead the way, Willie!"

Lettie walked into the Great Hall that day intending on getting a bit of food to eat. However, her first step proved more difficult than she thought.

"Oof!"

She landed flat on her backside as her feet slid out from under her. Leticia rubbed the back of her head and stared around the hall. Ice. Ice was everywhere.
"Why can't there be just one normal day in this school?" The girl said quietly to herself as she grabbed the wall and slided along in her socked feet to the table. She quickly grabbed a few pieces of bread, some chicken, and filled her water bottle with some drink.
Still not getting a letter back from her parents was a bit unsettling, but it was very possible that they had chosen an owl from the post office that wasn't the most reliable.

Turning around, Lettie skated back to the entrance with the food in her hands, slipped her shoes back on, and left.

Kevin whizzed around the table and grabbed some pumpkin juice and whizzed around on another lap he waved to Lettie who was over at the door after struggling on the ice and he smiled very happily as he was right at home on the ice.

Natasha had come over to the Slytherin table, and frowned upon seeing ice around it. She tried to slowly tried to walk towards the table, but, of course, she ended up falling over, anyway. "Owww," she moaned. It was so cold.

Emiliano nodded, smiling at Kiri as she seemed surprised about the gift. "Hey, don't worry." He assured, getting hold of her hand and giving her a grin. "I take Christmas sort of serious, I usually give out presents every year, not expecting anything back. And I like it...it's quite satisfying when the person recieving the gift, " he said, taking the box and starting to open it for Kiri, "...smile wide and enjoy it." Emiliano was now showing a fashion, new and gorgeous green and warm sweater.

"Hogwarts...is just going weirder everyday. Mud, water...everywhere. And now, icy great hall." He sort of whispered, letting out a sigh of disbelief. He was shocked, this year was going way too fast and well, not in the best way he could have imagined it.

Things were going to get better, right?

"I... No, I'll get something for you, too," Kiri mumbled. She let Emiliano take the box out of her unresisting hands. She was still very embarrassed. But now... what would she buy for Emiliano? With another pang of guilt, Kiri realised that she didn't even knew much about his interests, although they had spent so much time together last year. She had a thought, though. A few times already, she'd seen Emiliano with another Ravenclaw girl. Maybe she'd be able to catch her alone one time after class or at breakfast, and ask her about Emiliano's present preferences.

Her train of thought came to an abrupt halt as Emiliano held up what had been hidden inside the box. Kiri gasped. It... Well, it was beautiful! Kiri wasn't really interested in fashion, usually wearing only robes (although their length varied, depending on the weather), but this just looked completely right. The dark green colour, similar to that of the Slytherins, the intricately woven fabric, the (she blushed slightly) hint of figure-hugging cut... "It's beautiful, Emiliano", she repeated out loud. A second later, she'd jumped up and hugged him. "Thank you so much," she whispered earnestly into his ear.

She gave his shoulder another squeeze, then leaned back, a huge smile on her face. "Want me to try it on?"

Emiliano shook his head. "Alright, I'll let you give me a present, and at the end, only the porpuse is what matters, make that person happy when they see the present." Just like Kiri reacted when he showed her the sweater. He smiled when Kiri just, there in an instant hugged him and thanked him. "It's no problem..." He whispered, hugging her back. Once letting go of her, he nodded, "Sure, try it on...though I am sure you'll look great..." Emiliano commented giving a grin.

While Kiri started to try on the sweater, he just had to start another convesation. "So, how are you, Kiri? How's school going for you?" He asked her, since they had not talked at all during all year, well it had just been a semester, but it was enough to lose the thread about any frienship he could have gotten in.

"Alright," Kiri said, excitement mounting. It was a fantastic present! She got up carefully, testing her weight on the ice around the Slytherin table so as not to fall down, then struggled out of her robes. She was only wearing a shirt beneath, and she was instantly chilly. She grabbed the sweater and put it on. It fit almost perfectly! How Emiliano had guessed her - very small - size, she had no idea, but it had been very good guess. She tugged and pulled until she felt it fitting comfortably. Then she turned to Emiliano, arms outstretched. "What do you think?"

She brushed some hair out of her face. The sweater felt a little strange on her. It was, well... a little figure-hugging - not that Kiri had any figure to speak of. (And that thought was vaguely disconcerting to her, too.)
"Er, well..." she said, checking the sleeves, "I'm okay, I guess... School's going well, too. There's not much to tell, really." That was not true, she reflected. There was at least one thing to tell. But should she? What would Emiliano say? Kiri decided to... decide later. "What about you?" she asked.

"It looks great." Emiliano told Kiri with a wide smile. "You know, green suits you, quite well..." He said, scratching his chin and then looking down at the other boxes of presents. A bracelet, a necklace? "Choose any box from these..." Em said, as he separated four small packages out of the rest. "...and take whatever is inside. I think you'd like the designs..." He commented and smiled at her.

Once into chat, Emiliano noticed Kiri wasn't saying all truth-truth. Her small face could reflect some...sadness? "Are you sure?" He asked her, raising an eyebrow and looking concerned, worried at her.

Then it was time to talk about him. "Err...I can say I'm okay as well. This year has been slightly mad, crazy...out of range. But I guess this is how sixth year goes..." He over-used the term, yes...but it was so true. But should he talk about his little love issues, then his reconciliation with Karma? Maybe later...

Miranda was having fun sliding around the Slytherin table on the ice, even though she did keep falling down, laughing.

"This water thing just keeps getting stranger!" She grabbed an apple from the table as she slid by.

"You think?" Kiri said, eyeing herself. She had to admit that the dark green colour of the sweater looked very nice coupled with her dark robes.
A girl, laughing loudly, spun past the table, and Kiri sat down again, thinking it safer than continue to stand on the ice. She looked at the other packages Emiliano was offering her. "What do you mean? Oh!" Realisation dawned. "Don't tell me you have bought me more than one?! Emiliano! I..." But she didn't know what to say. "What's in there?" she finished, a bit lamely.

"Er, well..." Kiri decided to tell Emiliano. At least part of it. She leaned forward. "First, you have to promise me you won't tell anyone." She looked him straight in the eye, and what she saw reassured her enough to go on." Alright," she said as quietly as possible, so that no one close to them could listen in, "I... well, I... Do you know Raiden Kururugi? He's in my year... We've known each other ever since we came to Hogwarts, but we didn't really, you know, get to know each other until now. And..."
She stopped again. She could feel herself blushing. Her voice dropped even lower, and she couldn't look at Emiliano. She mumbled in the direction of her knees, staring at the dark green sweater Emiliano had given her. "IthinkIlikehim," she whispered quickly.

Emiliano chuckled and thought about what was inside the boxes. Well, he wasn't going to guess, so he opened the four boxes. "So, here's two necklaces and two bracelets...I think I have rings around here, but really, they are so...exaggerated at some point. Big rocks. But tell me if you want to see them..." He said, shrugging his shoulders, yet smiling at Kiri.

As he showed the jewelry to Kiri, Em gestured a zipper through his lips then throwing like a little key out into air. "I promise...I won't tell anyone..." He said, nodding his head and giving her a trustworthy smile. He was never, NEVER going to disappoint his friend Kiri. Nuu...And so he listened and may have gasped as he heard that small whisper coming out of the girl's mouth. "Raiden, yes...I only know him by sight but...tell me, what's going on wrong with him? You seem pretty upset about him..." He asked, worried. Em was really worried about Kiri.

At least he hadn't laughed at her or anything. Kiri was very grateful for that. Her decision to tell Emiliano in confidence had been right, then. At least so far. And as embarrassing as it was to talk about it, it also felt strangely... relieving and liberating.
"I... well..." she went on, "I'm not really, you know, upset about him. B-but I think he might not... like me in the same way I like him. And there's something else..."

She paused for a moment. Now came the part that really made her feel helpless. "I think he might like... someone else. A girl from your house. I seem to see them together quite often, and he's always smiling when she's there and... so on." Kiri sighed. It sounded quite pathetic what she said, even to herself, but she didn't really know how else to say it. "Celandine Toussaint..." she mumbled. "And she's so smart, I can never keep up with her in our lessons. And she's really pretty, too."

And that was it. Kiri looked at Emiliano anxiously for a moment, biting her lower lip. He was holding four pieces of intricate jewellery in his hands. "They're beautiful," Kiri said quietly.

"Oh..." Emiliano said as he listened to Kiri talk about Raiden. Poor girl...He felt really bad about her situation. So apart, different from his. He tried to give her a warm and cheerful smile, yet it seemed like complicated, hard to know what to do to solve the deal. Oh, love...how you play tricks on us...

He let out a sigh, then a nod when Cela was mentioned. "Oh, Celandine..." He whispered, slightly biting his lip. "But hey...I'm sure there had to be start of why you like Raiden, and you may have to investigate for yourself if...well, he likes her as well and viceversa. There might just be a close frienship between them." Yes, talk about being too close to someone.

"By the way, you're pretty and smart as well..." He told her and gave her hand a little squeeze." Cela, though might be more dedicated. As a secret I tell you that, I can't find that much of dedication for school myself. And it may be why my grades are going down..." Em said, shaking his head, though letting out a small chuckle.

As the temperature warmed, the ice began to melt and the water started to rise once again at top speed. It was cold, and it seemed angered by its having been frozen.

Kevin had just managed to get onto the bench when he noticed that the water was back to normal water and was rising quite quickly he was very scared

Lucy had been enjoying a nice skate around the frozen Great Hall, munching on a piece of toast, when suddenly she plunged into the freezing water. Swimming up to the surface, Lucy took in a deep breath and looked around. The water had unfroze! Oh no, this was not going to be good....

"I... no, I don't think I am," she mumbled, staring at her hand in Emiliano's. "Not like her. You've seen her in the lessons. And she's much more interesting than I am, and... Anyone would prefer her." She sighed and fell silent. For a few seconds, she didn't say anything, she played with Emiliano's fingers, moving them to and fro, trying to make sense of Emiliano's words and to figure out how to continue.
"I don't think Raiden realises it," she continued eventually, "I just... I don't really get to talk to him right now. Maybe it's just because we're both so busy, but it feels as if every time I see him, he's talking to Celandine. And how would I ask him about that?" Her voice was edged with desperation now. "I don't think I ever exchanged more than a few words with Celandine. If I start talking about her, he'll, you know, find out. And I'd sound all jealous and horrible." She sniffed. "But maybe I am..."

"Anyway," she said. "I'm really sorry, I didn't want to dump all this on you." She made to disentangle their hands.
With a loud crack, the ice beneath the bench burst. Kiri jumped a little in shock. The floods were apparently rising again, and quickly and voraciously. Kiri pulled up her legs hastily. Within seconds, the entire floor was covered with the dark water. It was flowing in the direction of the Entrance Hall, out into the Grounds.
Why did it have to interrupt her conversation with Emiliano now?!

Long, green fingers slowly creep from behind the wall near the entrance of the Great Hall. Moments later, a grotesque face peers out and looks around. Children!! With a silent cackle to itself, it slid into the rising waters, moving quickly towards one of the tables that held the children. Human, human, children, children, wheeeee!

Within seconds, the creature had reached its destination, reached out its long arms and grabbed the first human leg that it found, squeezing it tightly.
