Demetria went and sat down at the table to get something to eat. She didn't see any of her friends there so she jsut decided to go sit by herself. Maybe she would meet some new friends. Dem grabbed a peice of bread and smeared butter and jam on it, quieting her growling stomach. |

'Hey there,' he said with what he thought looked like polite smile but actually looked more like a smirk, 'My name's Dagobert, what's your name?' |

'Hi,' he said mustering up as much nice-ness as he would, 'My name's Dagobert.' 'What year are both of you in?' |
"I'm a third year. How about yourself?" she asked. |

'So did you hear what happened to the Slytherins?' he said while nodding towards the direction of their table. He still found the whole situation quite amusing. Quote:

'It might suck for them but it's highly entertaining for us,' he said while watching some of the Slytherins remove their robes and such. One boy was quite embarrassed to be showing the pink socks he was wearing. 'Oh and yeah it is quite strange, from what I heard it might have been because my dad's 'muggle-gene' was stronger than usual. My mum's a witch though, I was worried for a bit that I was going to be a squib!' |
"That was my fear for a long time too!" she laughed. "My family is huge so for me to turn out to be a squib would've been bad." she looked over at a Slytherin boy who had on pink socks. "Ooo I'm loving his socks." she giggled. |

'Oh yes, me too,' Dagobert said nodding in agreement,'If only I had my camera on me!' He chuckled at everyone's expressions especially since they were taking it all so seriously. What was the worst that could happen, smelly clothes? 'I only have a younger sister, don't know what I'd do in such a large family!' he said secretly grateful that he only had one sibling to tolerate. He took another sip his orange juice and asked, 'Is it always so interesting around here? |
"Yup. Always. I mean it is Hogwarts after all." she smiled. "I love my big family." she told him. "I've got three sisters, and three brothers, one of which is my twin. But he goes to Durmstrang." |

His mother had told him some amazing stories about that school. She was even one of the very few people that got to visit it as she was asked to design uniforms for them. They were very secretive so she did not get to see much. 'It must be cool having a twin, though I'd prefer to have an identical one. Think of all the pranks we could pull, just like the legendary Fred and George Weasley,' he said while getting lost in thought. |
"Yea lucky for him but not for the rest of us." she said remembering her party. "Up until last year he was a good guy but then he turned bad. Before we left to go to school I caught him teaching my 5 year old brother an unforgivable curse." she told him. "Talk about having an evil twin." she started laughing at her own joke. Haha I made a funny! she thought to herself. "But trust me, I'd much rather have a twin who was a girl. I don't think she would be nearly as evil." |

Dagobert listened as Demetria told him the story about her brother. He was all for mischief but what her brother had done was taking it too far! 'I'm sorry about your brother,' he said sincerely,' What he did wasn't cool.' He liked how she was able to laugh it all off though and smiled at her joke. 'So you're saying girls can't be bad?' he said with a playful nudge, 'Because if you are, you haven't met my mother!' Most people assumed Dagobert's mischievous nature was inherited from his dad but it was actually his mum that had been quite the trouble-maker back in Hogwarts. He inspired to have the kind of reputation she had. He looked around at Great Hall and a thought occurred to him. 'Wonder where all these lot are gonna sleep now?' he asked out loud, 'I'd better not have to share a bed with any of them!' |
Demetria laughed a bit. "Oh trust me, girls can be just as bad. I just prefer to be good.....sometimes." she giggled. "I heard all of them were sleeping in the Astronomy Tower. I guess that means you get your bed all to yourself." she looked around at all of the Slytherins. "I don't know if I would be able to handle rooming with a Slytherin." she joked. |

'Me neither!' he said eying some of the bare-footed Slytherins, 'Anyway, I can't believe I'm asking this but do you know what class we've got next?' He had promised him mum he would at least try to go to some of the classes. Plus he really did not want to receive a howler from her, she could say some embarrassing things when she was angry. |
"Uhm...I know that CoMC and History of Magic are soon and I know DADA starts soon too." she told him. |

'What kind of Magical creatures are we taught about here Dem?' Dagobert asked eagerly, 'things like giant spiders or dragons?' Now if something like that is taught here, it won't be so bad, he thought with a smile. 'You know I've always wanted to see a dragon up close, ever since my mum took me to the Magical zoo here. I was this close to touching it but she caught me just in time. Shame, I'm sure I could have ridden him, just like Harry Potter.' |
"Uhm....sorry but no dragons or spiders in class." she laughed. Omg I don't know what I would do if they taught about acromantulas! Ewww! she thought to herself. "More like the creatures that can easily be tamed. Nothing that could possibly kill a student. Harm, yes. But definatly not kill." she explained. "Oh I got to see some dragons up close this summer. My older brother Peter works in Romania with dragons and he let me and Danny come and visit them." |

Although, Dagobert did notice how nervous Demetria seemed about the spiders and a wicked thought came into his head. Looking around, he spotted a spider scuttling along the floor. So not to arouse Demetria's suspicions, he carefully took his wand out. 'Accio spider,' he mumbled. It was one of the few spells his mother had taught him when he was home tutored. Once he felt the creepy crawly in his hand, he put on the table in front of Demetria and said, 'I've got a friend who wants to meet you!' |
Demetria lost her breath when he pulled the spider into his hands. "Dagobert please get that away from me!" she squealed. It was, after all, a pretty decent size spider. Demetria covered her eyes, "Please?!" |
Quote:
'Alright fine,' he said between fits of laughter, 'Sorry dude, looks like she doesn't like you.' With that he picked the spider up and put it on the floor where it crawled away to it's freedom. 'You can uncover your eyes now,' he said with a smirk, 'It's gone.' |
Dem peeked through her fingers to make sure he wasn't joking, then took her hands away. "Not nice." she laughed and threw a bread crumb at him. "Me and spiders don't get along." she told him. "When I was little my brother had me convinced an acromantula lived in my closet and was going to eat me in my sleep." she explained. "Loser brothers." |
