"I'm ok, a little tiared i just came from Quidditch tryouts. i got three 2 i stole from Anna, the Head girl. it was fun. how are you?" Lilly asked as she grabbed some mashed potatoes, pork chops and apple sauce. yum yum

James walked and saw Lilly. "Hello, I'm James Longbottom. Good job at the tryouts! You were really good." James sat down and grabbed a few rolls and some chicken.

Paris Hill skipped down to the Gryffindor Table, her stomach had been groaning all throughout tryouts and she hoped nobody had heard, it was embarrassing. With a smile, she took a spot by Lily, who she'd just seen at tryouts.

As she reached for some mashed potatoes, green beans and a piece of chicken, she looked to the younger student and smiled again.

"Hey Lily, you did just fantastic at tryouts, will you be there tomorrow?"

She noticed that a boy who looked familiar from tryouts had joined Lily, it was James, if she was getting the names correct.

"Hey James!" Paris said with a warm smile. "Good job today!"

James looked up to see Paris, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain. "Hello. Thank you! I tried my best, but I can never get my hands on the quaffle fast enough. I knew I wouldn't be a good chaser. What I really want to be is a beater. I was pretty good at that the last time I did it."

"Oh hi!" Lilly said "My name is Lilly and thanks. it was my first time but i tried my best. were really good as well." she said happily. she was glad that she did well.

"thanks Paris. i tried. i think i will be there tomorrow i don't see why not." she said excitedly. the Quiddich captain just said she did fantastic...now that was good news.

Paris smiled warmly at the boy, "Well don't worry, there's always one more day of tryouts, and I bet you'll do great! I remember last year, which was my first year to even do Quidditch, I felt like I did horrible at tryouts, and some how I still made the team," she told him with a giggle, "You just need to have a little confidence, and I know you can do it, James." She told him confidently.

Paris smiled at how happy Lily seemed, like she was proud of herself and of course Paris was proud of the young girl, too. "Well I'm glad to hear that, I can tell you tried! I can't believe you even stole some from Anna!" She said with a laugh, "I can't wait for tryouts tomorrow. It's our last day, so I think everyone will be trying their best."

"I hope so i like a good challenge." Lilly said with a grin. then she digged into her mashed potatoes. they sure were good and she sure was hungry

"Thank you. Yeah, there is always tomorrow." James said, smiling. He felt better now, knowing that tomorrow was another chance and that there might be a place for him on the team. He remembered last year. This year was different, he could do it.

Paris nodded, "challenges are always the best!" She commented, and then began to eat her food, even though she stood around telling them what to do at tryouts, she'd worked up an appetite!
"You're welcome, James," Paris told him with a soft smile. She had so much confidence in him right now, and she wanted him to succeed. Was that geeky? Probably.

Paris smiled at the two younger students and finished her food in a delicate silence, it was nice. She liked this happy atmosphere. In just a days time, she thought, she would be decided who to chose for her Quidditch team. HER team.

James smiled. He was going to wake up early tomorrow and practice a bit on his broom. He wanted to get warmed up and ready for the try outs. He finished his food and got up. He had much to do before he could rest.

Lucy walked down the long table and spotted Lilly, James, and Paris sitting together talking about Quidditch tryouts. However, James was leaving so she plopped down in his empy seat and waved to him as he left.
To Paris and Lilly she said, "Hey you guys, hope the tyrouts went okay! So do you guys already know if you made the team?"
Lucy grabbed a pumpkin pasty and starting eating.

"Daisy?" Broccoli was looking for an old family friend he had just found out was also attending Hogwarts. "Dais...oh hi," Broccoli pushed some hair off his forehead as he walked up to another fourth year. "I'm looking for Daisy Petrus. Have you seen her by chance?" he asked as he gave the girl a wave. "She's about 5 foot, brown hair, green eyes and a mole over her left eye." He pointed to where the mole would have been on his own head.

Chris Potter walked down from the Gryffindor Common Room to get a bite to eat and sat down with his fellows "Hello Everybody, How is everyine?" he asked with a bright smile.

Lucy looked up at the boy who was talking to her.
"Hi! Umm, no I haven't seen her, sorry! I'm Lucy, by the way, nice to meet you,...ummm..what's your name?"

Lizzie suddenly heard a familiar voice from down the table, and she quickly lifted her head from the transfigurationbook she was reading while eating. Her eyes widened and a smile appeared as she spotted Chris a few seats away. With a wide grin she got up and ran over to him, giving him a tight hug while saying Oh Chris I'm so happy you're back! I've missed you these weeks!

"oh um hi! i don't believe we have met. my name is Lilly." she said sticking out her hand to shake the other girl's "i am not sure if i made it or not but i sure do hope so!"

"hi, i don't think we have met. my name is Lilly. and you are?" lilly said sticking out her hand to shake his.

Lucy loked up the girl's voice. "Hi Lilly!" She stuck out her hand to shake the girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you. I really hope you made the team! I saw you at the tryouts for like 5 minutes becasue I was just passing, but you played well! I'm sure you will do fine. So what's up?"

"thanks. i am not really doing anything right now just eating and talking. you?" she asked.

Demetria walked into the great hall, took a seat, and began piling food onto her plate. It took her a while to realize that Chris was sitting right across from her. "OMG CHRIS!!!!!!" she ran over to the other side of the table and practically pounced on him. "Where have you been!?" she demanded to know.

"Eating as well. So you're a Quidditch fan? I'm not one myself, I don't really prefer brooms. But I wish I could learn the basics of the game. That way I could follow the matches and actually understand them!" Lucy laughed at her own joke.

"Drat," Where was the girl? It's like she was a ghost. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of her since he found out she was here. "I'm Broccoli." He said giving her a wave. "Nice to meet you Lucy."

Christian waled into the great hall. He sat down and picked up a bagel spreading a lot of cream chees on it and took a bite. "Mmmmmm"

Jane smiled at Christian. He ate!She reached out for some pasta. She'd been craving for some since Monday! She eyed the cupcake stand, but it was empty. Maybe the elves haven't had the time to make them today.She thought. She loved the elves for being such excellent cooks at any hour of the day, she just wished she could have a cooking camp with them in the kitchens, just to gain working experience amongst creatures.

"Do you want something to drink, shnnukummmukumms?"Jane decided to try giving 'names' to Christian. She winced at the one she just let out. She didn't like it...but well, maybe he would. Maybe not. She tried to hide her giggle but failed.

Christian raised his eyebrow. He hated that nickname. "Some pumpkin juice." He muttered. Blushing at her embarrassing nickname. he reached for some pasta. He took a bite.

Jane poured him some pumpkin juice from the jug, which was in front of her. She poured herself a small cup of tea and added some milk in it. She didn't add the sugar cubes because she liked it without sugar. She decided to try another name because Christian was blushing. She had never seen him blush before. She whispered it this time.

"Sweetums-pink-cheeks,"she started, already wincing herself.

"How's your pumpkin juice today?"
