"Yes, Miss Lockheart. Snitches." He said, flicking his wand behind himself and over his shoulder to get some tea started after noticing the time. "Professor Morgan teaches Care of Magical Creatures and Professor Kazimeriz, I believe, teaches Herbology." He said, making a face, but not quite realizing he'd gotten it entirely wrong. In his chosen subject, the Divination Professor was really quite sharp given his penchant for forgetfulness and aging mind (two completely unrelated things in his case), but when it came to recalling accurate information on anything else, he was truly a hit or miss.

"Well, my dear Miss Hufflepuff Captain, if that'll be all, I ought to be getting to the others and re-working my lesson plan. Oh, and congratulations, by the way. I heard you made your teams captain. Well done!" He boomed exuberently for her accomplishment.

And, yes, she was the CoMC Professor. Good. She'll have to meet with her soon. Not that she really liked creatures that much, but there were a few she did like and there was those pesky insects around the Pitch...and she may give her some insight about that.

Was the Professor expecting someone? Well, he wasn't going anywhere any time soon, there seemed to be people waiting to get inside his office.

But...waaaaaiiiiiiiit... he was wrong about that. Hmph. Bunbury was the one that was teaching Herbology, so, she still had no idea what Kazimeriz taught. Right. He must be confused with all these new Professors all at the same time. It could be exhausting.

She nodded and then grinned at the way he called her, "Oh, sure...Yeah, I should get going anyway, tryouts and homework are certainly waiting for me" she smiled, "Yes! Thank you, Prof. Kapoor" she said, before standing up. Oh, such a nice Professor!

Kaika waved goodbye and started to leave. In her mind she was wondering if Prof. Kapoor attended Hogwarts and if he did, which House. But she'll have to leave that question for another day, for she was officially out of the office.

"Good day, Miss Lockheart." He said in farewell. Such a pleasant young mind. He always did enjoy her visitis. Like a tiny welcoming committee, they were. It was getting so that it did not feel like the proper start of a school year with out them. He once again had the door open to his office and readied himself to see the next student.

"Hello there. Sorry for the wait." The Professor told the young Slytherin waiting outside of his office. "Won't you come in?" In invited him.

"Oh, hello there, Miss Mayer! How was your summer? Do come in, won't you and have a seat." He welcomed the young Hufflepuff in.

"Hello, Professor! My summer was really full of events, I visited France." Jessica said with a smile. "How are you?" she asked politely, entering the office after being invited in. "Thank you!" the girl said, taking a seat and waiting.

"Sounds exciting!" Beamed the Professor as he got up to take the kettle off the heat. "Not as eventful, but I enjoyed it nonetheless." He took out a teapot and debated a choice of teas before chosing one and preparing to allow it to steep. "What brings you to my office, Miss Mayer?".

Jessica watched Professor Kapoor as he prepared tea.
"I came by to see you before class because I have a question about the NEWTs. I know it's a little too early to worry about them, but I really want to start studying this year in advance. I would like to note down what is needed for the NEWT exam in Divination, if you could tell me, please." the girl said politely.

"Professor, do you still have your kneazle?" she asked, remembering from last year.

'Oh, an academic question!'

"You know, you are the first student to come to me and show such initiative to succeed on your divination finals." The nutty Professor carefully peered at the tea to test its' colour, shutting one eye as he poured a bit into a cup and then poured it back. "2 points for a show of earnestness in Divination and respect for the subject, my dear." He said, concluding that the tea was not quite ready. "Yes, I believe Nostradamus is around here somewhere. He comes up here to sleep and eat. Surprisingly, he seems to leave Leroy well alone, so I'm glad for that. Though, I think I'd still like to find him a good owner. Nostradamus was sort of here when I got here. Came with the drapes. From what I can deduce, he must've belong to the previous Professor and he'd probably like an owner who can afford him more attention. Someone younger, who will fuss over and over-feed him."

"Now then, your...your...your NEWT." He began, nearly losing his place in the conversation. "Well, I would say that it covers a great lot. Some of which, I have not taught, but that your book covers in basics. Have you got a quill and parchment handy? Because you may want to re-research Cheirology or Palmistry, Tasseomancy, Oneiromancy, Divining by animals innards, Divining by way of books, Gastromancy and other forms of Scrying, as well as Astrology. You may also want to be sharp on Jaynes' four categories of Divination, such as omens, spontaneous, etcetera.".

Chris Potter had walked into Professor Kapoor's office a while ago , but had remained a little quite. He then decided to speak up. "Professor, as i told you before i am in fact a seer. I am very knew to it and still am having some deficulty. The other day i had a vision. Could you maybe help me interpret it?"

Lyra decided to do a little bit of research, something she should have done before her article in The Quill. Going off of Professor Vindictus' words while they were in the restricted section, she wanted to see if the Divination's professor had a few words to add as well. She walked up to the door and gently knocked, waiting for him to invite her in.

"Well, I can try, if you like, but no promises." He said. "Go ahead and have a seat and tell me a bit about your abilities. For starters, what sort of experiences have lead you to believe that you've got the seeing ability?". He asked more to see what sort of visions the boy had than to fuel any doubt.

"Hello there!" The Professor said opening the door to his office. "Come on in." He said invitingly.

Lyra's green eyes looked to the professor who opened the door. This was one that she didn't know and so to her, he was new. "Hi," she said then added. "Professor, I wonder if I might be able to ask a question?" She then forgot one thing. "My name is Lyra Noir," she began to giggle knowing that she got the whole thing backwards.

The professor let out a small laugh at the almost random insertion of an introduction. "It's nice to meet you, Lyra Noir. Please have a seat and feel free to ask anything you like." He considered for a moment what possible repurcussions that might invite a bit too late.

Lyra took a seat, giggling lightly as she made the professor laugh. That was a good sign, especially since she didn't know him that well. Once she was settled in, she placed her hands in her lap and tilted her head to the side. "Well, I was chatting with Professor Vindictus while we were in the restricted section of the library and he was telling us about the Mirror of Erised," she began just out of the blue as she was not one to beat around the bush too much. "And you do know that the mirror was found, didn't you?" She wanted to make sure that he knew first before going on to her question.

Chris smiled and greated Professor Kappor and came in and took a seat by his desk. "Well my first experience with the sight was right before my first term." he remembered how freaked out he had been. "I was sitting in the Leaky Cauldren with two people i had just met and am currently friends with now. The vision as i remember it showed us here, hanging out in the Common Room. As you are probobly thinking i did discuss this ability with my parents shortly after that and discovered that my grandmother has the power of Sight as well." He then took a break for the Professor Kappor to take it all in,

"I think that my visions come form some kind of stimulation in my environment at the moment it happens. What do you think?"

Ian quietly darted up the stairs from the Third Floor to the Seventh Floor and entered the Divination Tower. It was unbelievable that a man his size could be so nimble and quiet, but he knew how to maneuver his body. Thank you, quidditch.

He immediately made his way up to David's office and carefully pressed his ear against the door. BLAST! He was in there...and with students.

Perhaps his door should do, then... Ian thought.

He took the poster out of his robes and unrolled it. Hehehe. Ian held the poster up to his friend's door and traced the outline of it with his wand, muttering a spell allthewhile.

"There. That should do it." He whispered to himself, admiring his handiwork. For, upon the man's door, there was a poster affixed.



Before he could be discovered, he scampered off into the darkness, quiet as a mouse. Oh, permanent sticking charms were so much fun. ^______^

"The Mirror Of Erised. Yes, I believe I've heard a thing or two about its recovery. Isn't it amazing to think of the history that lies within these very walls." He stopped himself before he carried on. "Have you heard anything more on it since it was recovered?" He asked her, now curious as to why she'd've brought the item up.

The Professor listened carefully to the young student explain his ability. "Well, I think it matters most how you feel about it. It may not even be something that is terribly easy to explain. But, I will say, that I think it is a good idea to start keeping a journal and writting down anything you might experience that you think might be a premonition. It will help you keep track of when things occur, if there is a certain time, how often, and the symbolism involved therein, if any." He said, hoping it was helpful advice. The boy seemed young and it was probably a lot to sort through.

Chris thought about the professor's adive he had given. It was plausible, and potentially helpful to him , and it could even help out others around him if he were to predict something catastrophic before it happened. "Professor Kappor, I think i wil ldo it. I will start to keep a notebook, of all my visions and premonitions."

"Yes," Lyra smiled taking in a deep breath of air. "Actually, I'm here about mirrors in general, sir." She sat up straight in her chair, placing her hands in her lap. "You see, myself and a couple other students were with Professor Vindictus in the room with the Mirror of Erised and then we went to the restricted section of the Library, but there was one thing that the professor said that interests me."

She made herself a little more comfortable by leaning back in her chair to listen to Professor Kapoor's response to this question. "Professor Vindictus said that all magical mirrors involve Divination in some way and then he began speaking of someone named Alice and a...looking glass?" She had NO idea what that was as she was still learning about the muggle world. "Is there something that you could tell me on this subject? If it is really interesting, I could write an article about it in the Quill." There was her excuse, information for the Quill. Good going Lyra Dear!

The professor was glad that the advice was useful to the young lad. "Very good, then. If you have no other questions, and would like to get back to your common room or other classes, you may be excused." He said warmly.


Kapoor listened carefully to all that Miss Lyra Noir was saying. She seemed a very inquisitive creature, and he, loving the opportunity to teach, found this quite amusing. "Alice? H'mmm." He began, giving pause to thought. "Although, that sounds vaguely familiar, I'm not positive that who Professor Vindictus was referring to is a woman by the name of Alice Morgan. She was a muggle woman who used cartomancy to give advice to those seeking it. But,..." He stopped to clear his throat. "But, she never used mirrors. Not to my knowledge. Next to crystals, they are the most popular items with which to scry. Any mirror, in fact, any object as long as it is reflective and shiney, may be used as an instrument for scrying." And, now he was curious as to what all was found that day of the recovery of the Mirror or Erised.
"Were there other mirrors with the Mirror of Erised, Miss Noir?" He asked.

Chris smiled at the professor. "Thank you professor Kapoor, i will definatley visit you again if there is anything i need, See you next class." he got up and slipped out of the room.

Ah yes, Dominic was almost home-free; just one more professor on this seventh floor and then he would have to begin his descent downward again. Picking up the Headmaster and his Head of House on the way, followed by Truebridge or maybe try Vindictus again. And then lastly, the big man himself . . . the one who's at fault for allowing him to discover his strength in sonnet writing. KaziKrazimeriz.

Sighing, Dominic drew a deep breath as he saw a young Gryffindor slip from the Divination Professor's office. Feeling a huge hopeful sigh of relief that maybe Kapoor's office would be empty, Dominic raised his loosely clenched fist and knocked once before dropping his hand to his side.

Cela bounded towards Professor Kapoor's office, letter in hand. She stopped short upon seeing the agony aunt sign and spent a moment reading and re-reading it. Oh goooooood! She could ask Professor Kapoor for advice!

Cela waved cheerfully at Dom-in-ck before knocking on the door to the rhythm of the beverly hills 90210 theme song. Completely unintentional, but eerily spot on all the same.

Lyra listened to what the professor was saying and she pursed her lips together, which seemed to help her think a little better at times. "I didn't see any other mirrors in the room," she paused for a moment then added, "Believe me, I would have noticed if there were others." Because I am completely obsessed with my looks and therefore I have to look good at all times.

"I'm not up-to-date on muggle books but I know that Anna, the Gryffindor Prefect was speaking of a book and something about...backwards...looking..." She stopped once more getting back to what Professor Vindictus said which was the reason that brought her here. "One thing that has me curious is how would the Mirror of Erised revolve around Divination?" Well, she needed to explain herself a little better. "Truth is, I have never been one to keeping up with...er...the subject of...Divination," Her cheeks began to blush in color as she pushed her hair behind her ears. Truth was, she was never into Divination, until this very moment...thanks to Vindictus of course and she was rather impressed with the new professor as well.

"I just want to know the connection of magical mirrors and Divination, I guess is what I am trying to say. And if need be, I will run and bring Anna Banana in here so she can explain a little more."

"You don't have to bring Prefect Greingoth if you don't wish to and I trust that between us we can determine what it is you would like to know." He leaned back in his chair again and tried to remember what he'd read about the Mirror of Erised. "Perhaps some people feel that the Mirror of Erised is a way to self-fulfill a prediction or seal your own fate. In a way, you're peering into your own future when you look at yourself looking into the mirror looking at yourself in the mirror..." he stopped and took a breath. "...looking at yourself...in the mirror." Kapoor shook his head at this and continued to try and answer her question.

"The only connection to speak of, really, is that of their uses as an instrumental device in the art of scrying. But, again, whether magical or not, all reflective surfaces may be used as such. Though, I would not personally elect to use the Mirror of Erised to scry as it can be very dangerous. Also, they're gateways to the spirit world." He tripped up slightly and for a minute moment in time, it could be read on his face. Maybe he should've have mentioned that last bit. A knock or two was heard as the fwooper in the corner cage ruffled its' feathers until he resembled a poof.

Kapoor waved his wand and opened up the door to his office slowly enough to see...

Kapoor stood up and made his way over to the door. "Come on in, children and have a se..." What the...??! Aaaaassssshhhhhbyyyyy!?!?!


"How did that fat man managed to get all the way up here without me noticing?!" He asked outloud semi-whispering to himself in a tone rich in both consternable confusion and wonderous awe. Kapoor reached for the sign and began to tug at it. Alas to no avail. Perhaps a set of more agile fingers. "Could one of you, perhaps try and remove the ...the...picture off of the door? I can't seem to grip..." He stopped, realizing what it was. Charms. "Oh, nevermind." He said, brushing off his request.

"What can I do for you? Prefect Denton? Miss Toussaint?" He asked heading back to his desk.

Celandine nodded and pointed her wand, "Avexis!" Oh. "I think its permanent, Professor Kapoor." Cela shrugged, wondering why he didn't want the sign up.

Looking between the sign and Professor Kapoor in fascination, Celandine entered the room, "Well I have a letter for you. And some coconut ice and..." she paused, thinking about the sign and coupling that with the nice things Nico used to say about the Divi Professor, "... and maybe you can give me some advice?"
