Anna sat on the ground and simply stared blankly at Professor Ashby. He and Professor Bunbury were honestly acting like a pair of four-year-olds or something like that. Had all of Hogwarts gone mad? It certainly seemed so. Anna sighed and waited for her Charms professor to explain whatever it was they needed to learn. "Flipnsn...what the flip?" she wondered to herself. That incantation didn't sound like anything she'd ever heard before. It sounded...made-up. Nevertheless, Anna would once again participate for the sake of passing this class and moving on to NEWT level---eep!---Herbology.

Anna turned towards Professor Bunbury to listen to an apparent rhyme she'd created. No telling what this would turn out sounding like. Oh, boy. They were expected to say...that. Yikes. This was borderline embarrassing. Anna sighed and politely smiled at the professor. "Yay, Professor Bunbury," she said, clapping a few times. "That's awesome! Can we say the little rhyme now, too?!?!"

Freya turned towards Anna with an 'Are you insane?!' Look on her face. She really didn't want to be rude, honest to goodness...it was just, Ack! 'I'd rather jump off a roof than rehearse that thing.' She thought, hoping that the girl was just being polite, and continued to repeat that bogus...ridiculous-- 'Hey wait. Bogus equals boggart, ridiculous, well, that was obvious. Pay attention!'
Her mind snapped into focus again and Freya began to practice the new spell they were assigned, though not casting it just yet.

Plymouth had skills. No doubts, the boy had skills. Charms and complicated words though did not fall under his skills. He flicked his wand and tried though! He DID do a happy little clap for the Professors.


"Flipperskipinit! Errrmm... Flippyskiperdoo! Swishyflickythingydo!! Flittysnippyittwitty!"


So he was probably not going to be pruning with his wand. Luckily though, Plymouth had practical skills and two working hands. He moved his bush over to sit with Anna. Eeeeeek.

Wait, what? Flipnsnipwitit? What on Earth kind of incantation was that? It didn't sound like any kind of real spell, but Mariel didn't go around magically pruning bushes on a regular basis, so for all she knew it really could be legit. Still, she blinked a couple times at Ashby before turning her head to watch Bunbury in disbelief.

For the third time that lesson, the Herbology professor was the subject of the Ravenclaw's stare of incredulity as she acted like a four year old performing a made-up song for her parents. As she sat there watching, unsure of what to do next, her head turned as the Gryffindor prefect started applauding the professor's show. Is that what they were supposed to do? Not wanting to appear rude, especially as Bunbury almost seemed to expect some sort of recognition, Mariel's hands went together a few times in a sort of slow clapping.

Now were they supposed to start pruning? She wasn't sure how they were supposed to sing/hum and recite the incantation/rhyme at the same time, so she glanced around furtively at the rest of the class to see how they would manage. Maybe they wouldn't start yet anyway since they didn't learn the wand movement just yet, so the 13 year old glanced back at the two professors, waiting for further instructions.

Herminny decided to try the spell, and recited the incantation "flipsnipwitit" and flicked her wrist pointing her wand at the fluttery bush and watched as ihe spell cut the dead parts off of the fluttery bush and it started to quiver so she decided to try humming the song and it worked, it calmed down the fluttery bush just enough for Herminny to give it a proper pruning.

Cheese?What cheese? I thought it was 'flipnsnipwitit'.

Jane looked at BunBunz and Professor Ashby with reaaaaaally wide eyes. Is it just BunBunz being loony or has Professor Ashby turned a little loony as well?

Maybe BunBunz did it. Maybe...she brewed some PuffaFlutta tea for him. Makes his brain flutter...I suppose. She wasn't being nice today either.

"Right,"Jane blinked once and got on trying to remember the spell. While she hugged her flutterby bush, she accidentally broke a small branch.

Uhhhh...hmm..

Jane started singing the song while hugging it some more. She couldn't reach the high notes and squeaked a few times. Thinking that she probably should stop singing and get on with the spell, she did just that.

"Flickenspinit!!!"Jane said rather loudly because the branch wouldn't let go of her, obviously already forgetting the incantation. She waited for somehting to happen.

Cedric cast the spell.."flipsnipwitit"Cedric muttered....pointing his wand to the flutterby bush and it cuts the dead parts of the bush and it starts to quiver so Cedric sing the working song..it works so he can give it now a proper pruning

She took to hovering just at the edge of the group surrounding Ashby. "What's the wand movement, eh?" Bunbunz piped up and even raised her hand like a student.

"YOU and YOU," Annie added, pointing to Herminny and Cedric, "WAIT to start pruning! Please, people, all you know is the incantation so far. Paitence, heeeeelllo, it's not just gonna crawl off."

Bunbunz snorted and turned her attention back to the Charms teacher. "Continue!"

Ella got surprised at her question. Was there any rules for being aware of medic herbs? Jeez..this lady is trying to distract me..No way..you funny Spiky head! Ella shook her head, smiled to herself. "B'cuz Cold is not only affected the older peeps, it's an universal desease, Professor. I thought it would be nice if we're aware of those stuffs.." she said, watching the lady in sheer amusement.

Well atleast she gave her full four points, you're escaped temporarily..Bu..Bu..Bunbury!"Not entirely, but i do know some of those," she nodded her head with twinkling eyes.

And then the funniest part had been started. Singing..omg..she didnt know or sure about her own voice. What if the plant died after heard my voice, Ella blinked twice, before, she held the plant closer to her body to hug..started singing..Hahaha..

Flipnsnipwitit?! What on earth was that?!

Yes, it didn't sound like a spell at all, more like serious nonsense to her.

Flip n snip wit it....Pffffft. Kaika will never achieve pruning with a charm, she'd be better off with the instruments than with this.

Not to mention that there was a rhyme to it? What? Like for real? No wonder Helios left, and his timing couldn't have been more perfect.

But, she'll have to give it a go, right?

"Flipinskinit?" yeah, no, that didn't sound right...

"Well....you'll get the hang of it eventually," Ian said, frowning at the students who were verbally flailing. "Moving on, I think I should tell you what happens before I teach you the movement." Ian pulled out his wand and karate-chopped the air. What he said was muffled by the buzzing sound that started.

"You should know that once you do the charm, your wand will start to vibrate a little and it will sort of turn into a buzzing razor type of thing."

He gently cut off a dead leaf from his flutterby plant and smiled. "See? Simple. Now, as for the arm motion, as I'm sure you saw, it's a karate chop. Just...CHOP!" He accented this point by chopping at the air like the negotiator he was.

This really was a strange charm. Qaz decided to give it a test. Wand went chop and she said, 'Flip-n-snip-wit-it' Her wand buzzed alright. In fact, it rather tickled. Again, chop and 'Flip-n-snip-wit-it' She rather enjoyed the tickle.

Now to try it on the plant. She examined it closely and decided where she was going to cut. 'Dear plant, I'm going to give you a trim, now. I hope that you enjoy it.' Her wand went chop and she said, 'Flip-n-snip-wit-it' With a buzz, she cut through exactly where she intended to and the plant didn't seem to mind a bit.

Via was kinda speechless upon hearing the spell. 'flipnsnipwitit?!? That's it? she thought. That was the first time she heard that spell. She was just speechless about the way it was even spelled but then she just decided to memorize and practice the spell.

Muttering it under her breath. She listened for a moment as Professor Ashby taught them the wand movement. CHop! Via followed with a chop of her wand. She practiced it for a moment. With her wand in a chop movement, she muttered, "flipnsnipwitit" And then the buzzing sound started. The plant didn't seem to mind at all as few dead leaves were cut.

Kayla sat looking at her flutterby bush with her wand in her hand. Flippin what? She tried saying the incantation over in her head a few times but just couldn't seem to get it right. "Flipsipit" she muttered, ugh that wasn't it. "Flipnwit." Nope that wasn't it either, Kayla groaned loudly. She felt like a flippin nit wit!! Taking a deep breath she tried once more, "Flipnsnipwitit" oh yeah that was it.

She watched as Professor Ashby, showed them all how to do the wand movement with the incantation and looked at her wand and then at the plant...nothing good was going to come from this she just knew it. And with the tongue twister of an incantation and the whole karate move thing, there was no way Kayla was going to be saying any rhymes as well.

Karate chop-CHEESE-flickaspinit?!Goodness!!At least my flutterby bush didn't DIEEEEEE on the spot. Well, not yet anyway.

Jane thought to herself somemore. Her attempt of 'flipnsnipwitit' failed. And she just made herself look soo silly, singing a song like that and then fail to snip the bush. Then Professor Bunbury said she didn't want a bad haircut for her flutterbies. She has to try over again, yes, singing the song too. It was soo embarrassing.

She was having the psychedelic vision moments again as she was actually dancing with her flutterby now. She tripped over Professor Ashby's mudcastle, which he left lying on the ground. And her vision disappeared. She wondered why.

Hey...

"Uhhhh!!!!Ooooppsss!!!I'm so Sorry Professor Ashby!!!I REALLY am!I'm soooo sooooooooo Sorry. I didn't see it,"Jane apologised and was really fearing for her life now. But luckily she didn't kill her flutterby. It had somehow clung to her arms and hair when she fell, so no broken twigs!! LUCKILY!

"sorry..professor Lupa errr... Professor Bunbury.."Cedric said...He noticed that these two professors have a similarity between them...."Professor,can I ask something,what is the use of flutterby..?"Cedric asked
after Cedric hear Professor Ashby's instructions...He continued of what he was doing on the plant...He use the spell and like Professor Ashby said his want was vibrating like a razor....then,He cut off the dead leaf of his plant...he was waiting now for further directions for pruning...

"Sorry professor", Herminny said and proceeded to try the spell the way the charms professor showed them how to do it and said the incantation. "flipnsipwitit", and proceeded with karate chop motion and her flutterby plant began to quiver again and she started to hum the song louder to calm it down cause she could not properly prune the flutterby if it was moving as much as it was as. Then Herminny's wand started to vibrate like an automatic hedge trimmer but this trimmer and she thought, this is so cool but she did not procede to prune the flutterby with it even after it calmed down cause she thought, I'll wait for further instruction and prune my beautiful flutterby plant the right way cause I don't want to get in trouble for ppruning it the wrong way.

.... Eh.

They had to sing a happy working song ... and they had to hug their flutterby bushes ... and they had to recite crazy poems about flippysnippy and cheese ... AND now they had to karate chop too.

This whole lesson seemed like one gigantic joke.

He supposed it was a good time to have a laugh though and shrugging to himself, the sixth year readied himself.

"Flipsitnit." He told his wand with a karate chop. Nothing. Argh! "Flippysittynit!" He ordered with a more exaggerted karate chop. Still nothing. POOOP!

"Miiiiisss?" He asked, waving his arm crazily in the air in the hopes of getting Professor Bunbury's attention. "Is there an easier way of remembering that ruddy incantation? Fluttery my flutterby bush REALLY wants a new hairdo." He explained, looking down at the quivering bush. "I'm thinking an afro.." Hmmm.

Miranda was gaping now. Before bursting into giggles.
"Flipisnipwitit!" she said happy. And now for the chopping movement. Miranda raised her wand and made it come down in a sharp motion. Oops.

Hurrying over to the other side of Professor Ashby's castle, Miranda picked up her wand that had flown away from her hand, and scurryed back into her position. Miranda tried it again. Atleast this time her wand stayed in place.
Blink. Miranda looked around the class. What ever happened to the Bunbury they had met on their first lesson? The firm, clean and snippy professor who had taken point off from her for eating an apple?

Well everyone was going along with it, so yeah why not.
"Flipnsnipwitit, accent your tees to cut it sharP like chieeeeez." Ew. Cheese. "Remember the rhyme and you'll be done in notime..." Gigglesnort!

Qaz was gaining momentum with the charm. After several dead leaves had been removed, 'Flipnsnipwitit' was rolling off her tongue at a fairly good clip. Once all of the dead leaves had been removed, she stopped to access the situation.

While she was examining the plant, she began to whistle again. A catchy little Muggle tune called, Hi-ho, Hi-ho, It's Off to Work We Go.



'My lovely Flutterby. Do you feel better, now that you've had a trim?' The bush gave a flurry of movement. Qaz assumed to say 'Thank You.'

Freya watched as Ashby explained how to use the spell. 'Almost like the one I use sometimes.' She looked to her own wand and then to her bush that was awating a good pruning. Making pretty much the same motion as Ashby, Freya thought, 'Flipnsnipwitit', and witnessed the razor that had appeared at the end of her wand.

'Yeah, almost like the other one I use...only more annoying, and it requires throwing your arm around.' She was in such a foul mood today and the buzzing sound was getting quite irritating to have to listen to. Freya turned to her plant and trimmed a very few amounts of dead limbs and leaves from it, but not too much.
Her Flutterby seemed to move a little bit as it lost some of it's restrictive mass, and then settled down. Was this thing actually so alive that it could feel relieved? Strange...
Freya smiled a little bit and continued to remove some of the useless parts of the plant, but being very minimal to how much she took off, not wanting a damaged plant, and being very careful with it.

flip what? Big and odd word.

Pointing her wand she said "Flipnsnipwitit" or at least she tried "Flipnsnipwitit"

Ahh! It vibrated! It looked like the muggle machine!

Ok karate chop on the leaf only on the leaf!

Again she said "Flipnsnipwitit" and with a karate chop movement she cut the leaf.

Whaaaa? Flipsnitwit? Flitspitnitwit?

This had to be the weirdest incantation ever! But, if it made his flutterby plant look pwetty, he'd do it. Although, BunBunz was acting quite weird. But weren't all the teacher's nowadays? Shudder.

"Flipsnipwitit." Miles pronounced slowly, and then did the the choppy hand movement. HAHA. He looked silleh. Atleast he got it right the ... third time.

William looked up at him, his mouth open in shock. Could the incantation be any HARDER to learn? Like seriously that was a mouthful to say but to learn and remember how could he possibly do that? Well, he had to try that was the best he could do. "flipnsnipwitit? Okay, again, flipnsnipwitit..." he murmured to himself, his blue eyes twinkling as he struggled to remember that incantation.

William nodded, a small smile on his face. "Thank you professor." no need to argue, he had just saved Paris 5 points and the whole Slytherin house so that was one thing right? It showed moral fiber didn't it?

He listened to her weird little rhyme and sighed. Leave it to her to create something interesting to remember the incantation. He wasn't sure if he should applaud or not, so instead smiled at her and chanted the rhyme in his mind, so as to not say it out loud.

He turned back to Ashby and watched as he did the wand movement. Okay, so that looked easy right? A Karate chop just like he had seen in movies no big deal. Sure he could do that, but could he do it without hurting himself or anyone else? Hmm, well let's try it then he thought holding out his wand and saying the incantation as he chopped his wand. "flipnsnipwiwit", nothing happened. Frowning he tried again, "flipnsnipwitit!" He said louder this time, chopping his wand. This time it vibrated like it should and he grinned.

Qaz was whistling to her plant when she noticed her cat approaching with something in his mouth.

Stupid errands she sends me on, HiJinx thought as he walked up and dropped an acorn next to her.

'Thank you, HiJinx. You've been a very good fella. Here's a treat.' Qaz said as she reached into her bag and pulled out a pouch of Muggle cat treats. After giving him a few, she stroked his fur and then watched him as he ran off.
