Dominic didn't fail to notice the frown Plymouth had given him when he happened to get his chance at meeting the unicorn first. It wasn't his fault that he was in line first; if he could do it all over, then he would gladly have let the Ravenclaw go first. But as the boy didn't make a big scene out of it, neither did he.

Besides, there were more important ideas like names to think of. Listening to the names the Professor ratted off as already being suggested, Dominic sighed thoughtfully. Raising his hand, the fifth year offered a few name ideas of his own that came to mind: "What about Butterbeer, Canaries, Hippogriff, Lemondrop, Cauldron Cake or ... or maybe even simply, Role Model, like Rolly for short." Actually, the last name sounded kind of cute. Roly Poly. Ha!

Willie flailed his arms at the naming of the dog. He wanted to name the doggie, too! And he had just the name in his head. The perfect name, for the perfect dog. "Profethorrrrr! Profethooorrr!" He called, waving his hands around. "What abouuuuuuuttt Thir Whithkerth!"

That name OWNED.

Kayla stared at Anna for a moment, "You're joking right? Nico's name attached to a chihuahua I don't think so, maybe a pitbull but definitely not a lap dog." She shook her head if anyone voted for that name she would hex the living daylights out of them. "I was thinking more like Caesar, Othello. Romeo or Macbeth but I really like Caesar the best."

Tobi considered this Anna and Kayla's conversation, "If we're going Shakespeare for a chihuahua, I'd sooner go with Puck or Lysander. Lysander sorta did follow Hermia around with puppy eyes, and Puck, was... well, Puck, he was cool. Beyond that, its short and sweet, and maybe Lysander and Macbeth and Caesar are a bit much for such a little thing," he piped up.

After all, no one much called him Tobias, because it was a big name for someone who ran around skinning his knees and spent the better part of his time trying to figure out new and clever ways to knick cookies from the kitchen. It was more fitting now that he had grown to a towering 6'4", was older and wiser... on second thought, not really.

Kayla turned towards Tobi and gave him a small grin and held out her hand for a high five. "Not bad Avalon, I like Puck also. But you know just because it's small doesn't mean it can't be ferocious." She raised an eyebrow at him, he should know that already she had put him on his butt once already. And besides she had seen some really nasty chihuahua's in her time but that still didn't mean she wanted this one called Nico.

It's uncool to leave someone hanging on a high five, so Tobi obliged, besides, Kayla's good people, and she was totally right about little things being ferocious. Celandine's scorpion, Aggie, and Kayla herself all came to mind.

Still, if the dog got named Caesar, Truebridge better have it wear a toga and a crown of laurel leaves. It's the only way it would work.

Professor Morgan couldn't help but laugh at some of the hilarious names being suggested for Ethan's dog. She hoped that he'd be able to choose and not find them too silly. After all, that puppy was the most beautiful thing that she had ever seen in her life. Well, not THE most beautiful, but he was certainly running a tight race at the moment. She wondered if she shouldn't think of a few names herself but after hearing Calpurnia whinny again, she figured that it was time to start wrapping things up.

She ran her hand down Kimber's mane and leaned down close to whisper in her ear. When she lifted her head, she called for the class' attention once more. "Alright, it looks like everyone has finally had a chance to interact with the unicorns; so I think its time to let them go. Plymouth, if you don't mind, could you please lead Kimber back into her stall while I take Calpurnia into the forest? I would really appreciate it." She said, giving him a dazzling smile.

"And class feel free to discuss your own unicorn experience with each other while we're gone. We'll be right back."

Plymouth looked around to see who saw that. Hopefully the whole class. Professor Morgan - very, very, very, very lovely Professor Morgan - wanted him to put the little critter away. With her. She had said, "We'll be right back," and she meant the two of them.

OHHHH BOY.

"Oh yes ma'am. I would be just tickled pink to lend you a hand. Or both hands. Or my arm if you'd like." Plymouth strutted back to the front to the little gold unicorn. He was careful and stuff because he didn't want to scare it off and fail when he clearly had done so well. Clearly. He ran his hand along its jaw and down it's neck. Maybe when he was in the stables and people like Maddox Darcy or Tobi Avalon or that Line Breaking Prefect Dominic he could hug it and not get laughed at.... Not that he cared all that much about being laughed at.

So, Plymouth tenderly got his charge turned around and headed towards the stables once again. "Wittle Kimber with your lil gold... furry stuff. You remember me, okay? And when you get older, you shouldn't hate me just because I'm a boy, okay? You do that, wittle Kimber Wimber Pudding and Pie.." And so Plymouth lead the little foal to the stables. He wondered if his CellBell was wildly impressed with his foal skills... hmm... He bet Anna was.

"Well...no, not exactly," Anna said, shrugging slightly. "I mean, when I remember Nico, I remember him as being such a kind, caring friend. True, we had that brief chocolate frog experience, but that was just one thorn on an otherwise lovely rose. Your names are awesome, too, though. I really like Caesar."

"Anyway," Anna said, still addressing Kayla, "It seems we're supposed to be discuss our experiences with the unicorn now. Wasn't it simply magical? I've never even been this close to a unicorn before, let alone being able to touch one and talk to it. Calpurnia was really sweet, too, although I didn't think she'd let me touch her at first. It took her a few seconds to warm up to me and finally bow."

"So after she bowed, I was able to reach out and pet her. Her fur's really silky, too. I know this sounds silly, but Professor Morgan said we could talk to the unicorns, so I did. I doubt she knew anything of what I said, but who knows...she might. When I was finished, I brushed down the part I'd messed up with all the petting. How was your experience?" she asked.

Bugger!!! Kayla watched as Professor Morgan led Calpurnia away, she would love to have taken the unicorn back to the forest. She would have ridden him.

Turning back to Tobi, "So what did you think of the unicorns?" Kayla looked longingly at the unicorn that the Professor was leading back to the forest. "I've ridden a couple you know." Eh...he probably wouldn't believe that but she didn't care it had been the best experiences of her life, especially the second time she had done it.

Kayla turned to Anna, "Yeah they are really beautiful and extremely fast as well but I've never seen one that turned nasty" she shrugged. "But I don't know I just have a way with magical creatures. Oh I spoke to him as well, I told him he was the most beautiful unicorn I have ever seen and I wasn't lying I mean they are all beautiful" she let out a small giggle. "He nuzzled my cheek, which was pretty cool."

She went on to address the name for the dog. "Yeah he is all those things as well. I just can't see his name attached to such a small dog though" Kayla chuckled softly, she had seen Nico do some things that just wouldn't fit him as a harmless chihuahua.

Twilight had watched the other students after her turn meet the unicorns. It was just awesome. Though she understood why it was important to end the meeting with the unicorns, still she was a little sad to see them grow. She wished them both much protection and long life.

As Twilight was standing next to Kayla and Anne, she turned to them and whispered, "Wasn't that awesome! I do think they can understand us just like horses do."

Kayla chuckled, "Actually they can" she said turning to Twilight. "Probably more so than horses. Well that's my experience anyway" she shrugged as she looked back at the unicorns. "But yes extremely awesome."

"I've never heard of one turning nasty either," she said, thinking that a creature as beautiful and mystical as Calpurnia could probably never harm a human. Anna couldn't imagine why some people would want to harm such innocent creatures. Well, she knew why---those people were selfish and wanted to prolong their lives. What she really couldn't imagine, though, is why someone would be so selfish in the first place...why they would want to tamper with the normal balance of nature. "Have you really rode a unicorn? I heard you tell Tobi that you had. What was that like?"

"Hmm...I suppose they could if they wanted to, if they are threatened in anyway." Which was as far as she was concerned a part of every day life. Oh! She hadn't realised that Anna had heard her say that to Tobi, well she had actually ridden two but she couldn't tell Anna about the second time because that would mean putting both her and Nico in for sneaking into Hogwarts when they were both supposed to be at Belle's and Coopers.

"Well where I live there is this really big forest behind our cottage and I spent most of my time down there when I was little. It's hard to explain I can't talk to animals more like I can sense what they need and vice versa" Kayla took a breath and ran her fingers through her hair before continuing. "I would just go down in the forest and just sit there for hours and the animals would come to me. It took a while but eventually the unicorn trusted me enough to let me onto her back and well it was totally awesome. They can run at lightening speed and their sense of direction is incredible, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was eight when that happened and although I've seen her a few times after that I have never tried to ride her again" Kayla shrugged, "I guess once was enough."

Tobi had totally zoned. He'd felt so much better knowing that the unicorns were going AWAY, that it was really all he could think about.

"Oh- what? Huh, sorry?" Tobi returned to the conversation with the hard thump of reality. A hard thump of reality over his head...

"I guess unicorns are better than Manticores or something -" The rest of what Kayla had said hit him. "Why on earth would you want to ride -" More still of the conversation penetrated his conciousness. "Anna did she say she's ridden?- What do you MEAN you sense animal stuff?"

Tobi gaped back and forth at the women, bewildered and feeling like either they were speaking in girl speak or they were deliberately trying to shock and confuse him.

Iliana stood quietly, watching Calpurnia splash around in the nearby stream. A gust of wintery wind told her that it was time to head back so she waved her goodbye and headed towards the stables to meet Plymouth. Her limp had grown noticeably worse from the cold and she was happy that the lesson was almost over. She needed hot tea and a warm fire like nobody's business.

Limping back through the open gates, Iliana picked up a handful of snow and began packing it into a tight, perfectly round ball. She walked up in front of the class and put her hand (and the snowball inside it) behind her back. "Alright everybody, I really hope that you all had fun today and will remember everything you've learned. Class is now dismissed. You are all free to go. Homework will be posted in your common rooms shortly. "But before we leave..." She said, scanning the students for the perfect target.

Then with an evil grin, she threw the snowball with perfect aim and one singular thought running through her head. This should cheer him up.

When the snow hit Jake right in the side of the head, Iliana threw both arms in the air and yelled, "AH-HA!! Direct hit!" Giggling like mad, she screamed out, "SNOWBALL FIGHT! Duck and cover if you can."

Staring up at the sky, Jake vaguely heard Professor Morgan speaking to the class about homework, but he was in a world of his own, so it didn't exactly register.

Then there was a whizzing through the air, and WHAM! Jake got hit with a snowball right in the side of the head. It took him by surprise and he fell sideways, his head spinning wildy looking for the perp. Gasp!

Professor Morgan was declaring a snowball fight... had it been her? Or... it could have been Plymouth... or maybe Jake just wanted to throw something at the boy. Scooping up two handfuls of snow from the ground, Jake moulded them into snowballs and threw the first one at Professor Morgan and the second at Plymouth, aiming for their respective faces.

Giggling, Jake lay back in the snow for a minute, before checking to see if the snowballs had made their target. He wiped the snow from his face and sat back a bit, enjoying the coolness of the snow on his hands. It kept him wide awake, that was for sure.

Before Kayla could respond to Tobi, Professor Morgan had walked back she looked suspiciously like she was up to something and then before she knew it the Professor threw a snowball at Jake and it hit him straight in the head. Oh coolness a snowball fight, Kayla immediately bent down and picked up some snow and rolled it into a nice round ball. Eyeing Avalon, Kayla grinned and drew back her arm and let the snowball fly.

Tobi's mind was whirling. Kayla was all the creepy creature whisperer and -

Wham!

The little harpy had thrown a snowball at him, which was lucky. (It was LUCK, not SKILL folks, that caused it to hit him squarely between the eyes.)

"Arg!" Tobi growled, wiping at his eyes. "You did not do what I think you just did," he said dryly. "Of course you know, this means war; you're going down."

Who else but Kayla Winters, he quickly knelt down, grabbed a handful of snow, packed it, and fired it off at Kayla with an evil grin.

Herminny picked up some snow knowing the direction she wanted to throw it in. Herminny rolled the snow into a ball in her hands and took aim at Tobi for grossing her out earlier and threw a direct hit right at the back of his head and waited to see how he would react ready to duck and cover if need be.

Tobi felt a snowball graze the back of his scalp, he looked over his shoulder and saw that first year that was always around, Herminny, was it?

"Hey! I never did anything to you!" he called.

Kayla jumped up and down in the air, "Yes direct hit" she squealed as she burst into uncontrollable giggles at the look on his face. And then of course she was too busy celebrating her success and not keeping her eye on her opponent a snowball hit her directly in the face and knocked her straight off her feet.

She lay in the snow her face held a look of complete shock. "Ow Tobi, that hurt! I can't believe you hit a girl, what kind of guy are you?" She remained in her position on the ground waiting to see if Tobi, was a gentleman or not and if he was he was going to be soooowy.

Herminny gave Toby an evil little grin and said, "If you don't already know what you did it does no matter, this is a snow ball fight so lets get to it", Herminny then threw another snow ball at Tobi cause she wanted some freindly confrentation with him.

"That's really amazing, Kayla! I'd love to see that one day, you know. I bet the animals wouldn't be as likely to come up to you if someone else was around, though. Sadly, today's class was my one and only real experience with unicorns. I've just never really had the opportunity to see them or pet them, I guess. I did have a lot of fun with Calpurnia, though! Maybe Professor Morgan will let us comeback down and see the unicorns again one day. Maybe I'll get a chance to have a few more experiences then," she said.

Giggling, Anna turned towards Tobi, who had apparently zoned out. "I think it's awesome that she's rode on a unicorn before! I bet it feels even more extraordinary than riding on an Abraxan, which I did a few school years ago back when Professor Brooks was still here. Riding a unicorn, though...I bet it's really magical. They're so sacred and precious that I bet riding them is one of those 'once in a lifetime experiences,' you know. I wonder if Professor Morgan has even been on one....," she wondered aloud.

"Well, it appears class is over," Anna said, finishing up her conversation with Tobi and Kayla. Anna listened as Professor Morgan discussed the homework assignment. Anna better head to the Common Room soon and get started on this mountain of homework she'd let build up. It wouldn't do for her to end up failing right here at the end of term. Anna turned and started to leave, but stopped short when Professor Morgan started talking again. Before she could blink an eye, a snowball was flying through the air and heading right towards little Jake. Anna giggled and ran to pick up a few snowballs of her own. When she'd balled up three, she tossed one at Kayla, a second one at Tobi, and finally, a large one towards Professor Morgan.

Uh oh! Too much. Should have known, Quidditch player versus 5th year girl. Bad Tobi. BAD TOBI! He chastised himself, before running over to help Kayla up out of the snowbank he so kindly sent her flying into. Bad Tobi! T

"I'm sorry Kayla, I shouldn't have thrown it so hard. Are you hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital wing?" he asked her frantically as he knelt down and held both hands for her to help herself up. You don't just grab girls and help them up. That's rude. Never know what you might grab. Well he randomly picks up Aggie all the time, but that's different. That's Aggie.

Another of Herminny's Snowballs flew past him. Tobi got annoyed. "This is NOT THE TIME!" He yelled, "Go target someone ELSE! I just hurt someone! LEAVE ME ALONE OR I WON'T TROUBLE NOT TO HURT YOU!!!"

Honestly couldn't the girl see this situation was serious? But as soon as Kayla had grabbed a hold of him, Tobi noted the look in her eyes was not one of a girl in pain... and by then it was too late.
