Melony turned from Megan and sat down in the seat beside her. She saw a Slytherin girl nearby. "Hello," Melony said,"my name is Melony. What's yours?" Melony smiled at the girl.

Whitney merely nodded and looked around the classroom. She was in dire need of a distraction.

Just as she thought of something the other Huffie acknowledged her. Whitney felt bad for not introducing herself. "Hello Melony, lovely name. I'm Whitney. I'd chit chat, but after having two hundred points taken from my house, I don't want to take the chance. Neither should either of you. Would you like help with the classwork?" she said glancing at the professor.

Than she turned around and looked at the front of the room. Just as she found him she turned back around. 'What in the world am I doing?' She really needed to speak to her parents and get more sleep. After this class she would send her parents another letter and sleep for as long as possible. Just as she was about to look again she caught herself and turned her attention back to Megan and Melony.

ooc: I know, it's a little weird, but I had to do it ;]

Megan looked curiosly at Whitney but didn't say anything just sent her a look asking if she was ok.

ooc: It's ok.

Melony smiled. Whitney was right about not talking. "Yea I could use a little help, maybe later though." She turned to the teacher. She began to think of
--------------------- (daydreaming)----------------. She snapped out of it and began to look at the clock.

Just as she turned around, Whitney saw Megan giving her a look as if to ask if she were alright. Whitney nodded and implied that she would explain it later. 'Parts of it anyways.'

She then turned to Melony. "If you insist." she replied smiling. Then the girl turned, got a lost look in her face, and snapped out of it. I suppose she could use some sleep too.' she thought,being reminded of herself. If only Whitney could go and lay in her comfy bed.

"Five points from Hufflepuff for lip," she said with a growl. Who was SHE calling Mama?!

"This is my last warning class..." she said trying to ignore the girl, "If I hear any chatting, I WILL deduct points!"

"Sorry Ma'm," Melony said, looking down at her desk. She was getting off on the wrong foot with the profesor and she didn't want or like that.

Megans jaw dropped and she felt her eyes fill with tears. She had said it out of respect. She quickly ducked her head. before she felt the tears slip down her face. It wasn't fair tecnically she hadn't done a thing wrong all class yet here she was in trouble it just seemed to find her to often.

Melony had thought what Megan had said was meant out of respect as well. Melony raised her hand quickly."Profesor,Ma'm, I'm very sorry if I am speaking out of term, but I think the term Megan used was said out of respect. She is a transfer from California and has different terms than we do." Melony looked at her friend who had stood up for her when she needed it. "Ma'm, I don't mean any disrespect but I don't think Megan should be in trouble." Melony shut up then and looked at the profesor, willing her to not be mad at her and to understand the misunderstanding over what Megan had said.

Megan felt her gut clench as Melony said that. Please don't get mad Please don't get mad!! Megan prayed she couldn't let her get in trouble.

Melony looked at Megan who had made a sharp movement. She looked at her as if saying Friends stick up for friends.Melony was not going to let her friend get in trouble over a small misunderstanding without speaking up. In the back of her mind though, she was hoping the profesor wouldn't get mad, either.

She glared at the girl, then looked at the girl she deducted points from and then back to Kangston. "She can earn it back by performing the assigned charms, and Miss Kangston if YOU don't start on your charms, you may be in the same predicament." She threatened.

Megan raised her hand and said "I've already preformed them ms. Trelawney" Hopeing not anger her more

"Yes Ma'm!" She said, relieved that she wasn't being yelled at. She began working on the charms. "Auris" she said, noticing the greenish color. Then she said "Erasum" and the scratches on the dummy vanished. And finally, she said "Rescario" even though the dummy didn't have bones. Melony smiled a little to herself. Charms was her best and favorite subject. Melony raised her hand and said,"I've finished Ma'm."

If the girl didn't want to anger Cassandra, she wasn't doing a good job. Telling Trel she was wrong, was not the way to keep her cool.

"Then I suggest the both of you either sit put, or do them again." She said smirking.

Decideing it better to distact herself Megan grabbed another dummy and set to work.
Thinking how unfair this was she hadn't done a thing she was considering going to the headmistress

Melony looked at Megan. She didn't look happy. She caught her eye and she mouthed we'll talk about it in the common room. she didn't want her to make an enemy of the profesor or anything.

Nicholai continued to jot notes and listened as other people answered the question. He sat back and thought for a moment before raising his hand.

“Considering the next time I will be at home will be at the end of term after my 17th birthday and therefore be of age; and ignoring the fact that I’d never find myself in this position; I’d agree with scourgify and tergeo; though I am aware they have been mentioned.” Nicholai shrugged; several people in the room were fully aware at how adept he was at those particular cleaning spells, “However; there are a few other charms I’d consider using that haven’t yet been mentioned. Firstly, I’d again have to ensure that I’d not get wet or dirty with an Impervius spell and possibly Protego,” just like in the last scenario, “Then I’d animate some of the suits of armour or statues at home and get them to take the curtains down while I’m relaxing with a book. I’d have them put the curtains in the courtyard and I’d cast a targeted atmospheric charm to cause it to rain and get my animated assistants to soap the material up.”

Nico shrugged and continued; warming to his theme, “While the rain is washing out the soap, I’d have the animated statues and armour clean the house. At this point I suppose I’d have finished reading my book and the rain would have washed the curtains out, so I’d use a targeted scouring charm; not scourgify but rather something a little more precise to focus on the troublesome spots and stains. Then of course I’d need to dry the curtains; and I’d use a hot air charm to do that. Then I’d have my helpers take the curtains back inside and I’d apparate; since I’d hypothetically be of age and it’s a fair walk to get around my home. Then I’d have them hold the curtain up while I attach it to the runners with a fixing charm or a sticking charm and because armour is notoriously clumsy I’d go ahead and cast a cushioning charm just in case it fell. I’d get in an awful lot of trouble if the armour got dented after all. And because my sister has been incredibly annoying lately, I’d non-verbally cast the fur spell on her and use her lovely fluffy coat to buff the armour. And to remove all the charms I’d cast Finite Incantatem and let Celandine skip off to climb a tree or something.” Nicholai took a breath and added in a wry voice, “Of course, my parents would arrive home and promptly pass out in shock that I’d done the servants’ job and I’d have to Ennervate them.” Nicholai watched the dramas and demonstations and took notes on the spells.

Hmmm… the Resarcio incantation he had heard before; pronounced with a different emphasis, used for a different result and with different wand movements. Another example of how intent effected magic, Nicholai supposed.

He listened idly to the Intern as she gave instructions to practice with a partner. In no particular hurry he continued to make notes and go back over the charms related to the lesson.

Nico looked up as Raiden asked to partner him and smiled kindly. “Of course I’ll work with you Raiden.” Nicholai summoned the dummy and moved it directly in front of them; examining the marked injuries. “Would you like to go first, Raiden?”

Kiri looked around uncertainly. Most people appeared to have found partners already, but not surprisingly, she was still without one. Hoping that another student would notice her, she sat down in front of a dummy and pretended to reread the notes she had taken during the class.

Hannah looked around, trying to find some other unlucky soul who didn't have a partner, either. Her eyes came to rest on a Slytherin girl who looked a little younger than her. Phew, she thought. I was afraid that I was going to have to do this alone. Ms. Trelawney is kind of scary. Ok, not kind of, she's REALLY scary. If I screwed up by myself... she shuddered at the thought. She walked over to the girl sitting a few tables away from her by herself. "Hey," she said. "I'm Hannah Weasley. Do you have a partner already?" she asked, hoping that the girl's partner wasn't just at the restrooms or something like that. She did NOT want to work alone.

Oooh. A Slytherin girl without a partner. Yes! She was saved. She started walking towards her, but a Gryffie go there first. Figured. Well, too bad for her, because that girl was going to be Camira's partner. She quickly walked over to both girls and turned to the Gryffie. "You wouldn't be trying to steal my partner now, would you, Hannah", she asked, eyebrow raised. Okay, so technically, the girl wasn't her partner yet, but whatever. Hannah didn't need to know that. She gave the young Slytherin girl a look that said play along.

"Oh," Hannah said, looking at Camira. "Sorry, Camira. I didn't realize." Hannah turned around and walked dejectedly back to her desk. Darn my non-confrontational ways... she thought to herself. And just when I thought I might end up liking Camira. Oh well. I would have been partners with Camira, but I didn't know she didn't have one. And I don't think she likes me very much, anyway. Oh well. She's just trying to save her own butt, just like I was. She's probably scared of Ms. Trelawney, too. She had heard other students call Ms. Trelawny "Trel" behind her back, but Hannah couldn't bring herself to do that, even in her head. It seemed almost like the terrifying intern could read her mind and would punish her for saying it in her head...

Jayne looked up and saw that Camira was on her own, she gulped and moved swiftly away from her, she hoped someone else would notice her and partner up, she sat down at a dislocated dummy and smiled, she was sure she could make this work

Just when Hannah thought all hope was lost, she noticed another girl without a partner. SAVED! she thought. She walked over to the girl. "Hey, I'm Hannah Weasley," she said with a smile. "Do you have a partner already?"

Raiden's smile grew to gigantic proportions on his face and he bounced a little bit as Nicholai Toussaint summoned a dummy for them. He was glad he wouldn't have to search the class for an unpartnered person, true, but he was really very excited to work with Nicholai because... well... the older boy was smart. And if Raiden were to mess up, Nicholai would know why, and he would tell him, wouldn't he? After all, the older Slytherin was his friend!

"Yes, I'd love to go first!" He said, looking at the dummy and the reddish bits. The ones in the head were ear infections, obviously. What else would they be, brain worms? They hadn't learned about those and Raiden had a sneaking suspicion that the abandoned copy of the Quibbler he'd read last night had had a lot of false information in it... "Okay... Ear infection..."

He held out his wand, and just as he was about to cast the spell, the memory of Astrid looking very much unhappy flashed in his head and he did the wand movement backwards without realizing it.

"Auris?"
