"I've seen some of these students, and I don't know whether its a bug or some sort of spell that someone's been casting. Until we know what it might be and how widespread it is, along with what might be causing it, there is no way to treat anything. What I need is for those infected students to go see the nurse so she can treat them."

"Erm, headmistress. We can't find them anymore," Anna replied. "Some of them ran, and...they haven't been back to their Common Rooms."

"They ran away, you mean?" She thought about that. It was of great concern if some children had left the grounds.

"They went to the head nurse and then disapperaead mam" Jason says looking worried.

Anna nodded, and then added, "She was there, and then she ran, and...," Anna trailed off. She took a deep breath, and then added, "...and then Vincent, he's gone, too."

Anna knew her broken sentences probably made half sense, but that was all she could manage to say at the moment. Another tiny little tear made it's way down her cheek and she moved her gaze down to the floor.

"And where do you think they may have gone? Do you have any idea at all?" Rae wasn't sure how to proceed when she wasn't even sure if they'd left on their own or not.

"OK," Anna sighed. "Here's what happened. "I was out by the lake, and this...this...cat came up to me and rubbed against my legs. When I looked up to see who or what it was, the cat ran off into the woods. This older boy named Josh, who's really good friends with my cousin Monica, told me that the cat was Monica. It really scared me, so I came to you. I haven't been able to find her since then," Anna explained.

She looked back down to the floor and then chanced a look back up to the headmistress. Seeing no sign of annoyance, Anna decided to continue. "She's not the only one ma'am. There are others," Anna added. "I don't know if they actually ran off the grounds. I just saw Monica run into the woods. Then Vincent...I don't know where he went. He just left our Common Room and never returned."

Anna looked to Jason for help. Talking to the headmistress was quite a big deal for Anna, and she really wished Jason would speak up soon.

Headmistress, I heard the nurse too fur from those students affected. Jason told her. " They would never disappear from school." Jason says. " My cousins Anna and Exceslior like the school too much." Jason says. He winks at Anna for us to leave the office.

Seeing Jason wink and not really understanding what was going on, Anna gave him a confused look, but nodded, nonetheless.

"Headmistress, may we be excused? Thank you for your time," Anna added.

"You can go, and I appreciate your visit," she smiled at them both. "Good day to you."

She rose and gathered a few things before leaving her office as well.

Cassandra stepped out of the floo fireplace gracefully. "Thank you headmistress," she said as she turned to her, "I was afraid I was going to be stuck at the ministry for a very long time..." She stood and waited for the woman to come further into her office.

She hopped out of her fireplace and brushed the soot from her robes. "I'll see you soon, my dear. Don't fret."

"Oh..." she said. "Will you let me know if-WHEN Professor Branxton comes back? I am anxious to make sure he's back to his old self..." She told the Headmistress. Cassandra was about to leave the headmistress's office, when she thought about the woman. She was hurt... she had said so herself.

"Professor?" She said turning around. "Would... would you like some company? Until professor Branxton comes back... of course." she asked her cautiously.

"I was going down to see the girls, I think. It's hard to be upset when you have two energetic toddlers vying for attention," she smiled. "You are more than welcome to come."

"Really? To see the girls?" She was a little too excited. "I'm sorry, but I've only seen them at a distance. I would love to see them." She said her voice a little tamer.

"Let's go,"Cassandra opened the door. "They'll come to you if they want picked up, but Vivi especially hates to be constrained."

Cassandra nodded... This was going to be fun... She quietly followed the professor to the nursery.

Doyle hurried as best he could up to the office and then sagged into the nearest chair, eyes closed. "I feel as though someone has been kneading their fingers in my brain," he told Cassandra and gestured for her to come to him. He needed her comfort.

Cassandra crouched next to his chair and put her hand gently on his. Maybe he would blow her off again, but she loved him. "Did they... fix your memory, Professor Branxton?"

"Something like that, but I feel positively awful and my memories of this day are quite jumbled and fuzzy," he answered. "And your brother doesn't want me to come to his wedding."

"I... got an invitation," she removed her hand and patted her robes until she could find the glossy and ridiculous invitation. "Not that I really wanted to go, but apparently..."

"He wants you and the girls there. Flower girls," Doyle replied and opened his eyes. "He just doesn't want me there. He was hoping to speak with me before they fixed my memory so he could send me off and take our girls from you."

She sighed and immediately pushed herself into the chair with him, half in his lap and half next to him. "You remember me and the girls? I was so worried. Do you want to lay down?"

"I remember and I'm sorry about whatever happened that I forgot you and them," Doyle said. "I'd love to lay down with some headache cure but, I'm afraid I don't have the energy to get up again."
