Clifford quietly nibbled on one of his cookies when Evangeline went to speak to Professor Vindictus. He didn't want them to get squished when he was playing Quidditch! What a waste of yummyness that would be. So not cool.

He had known Evangeline wouldn't play - and felt a little silly for hoping she would. He understood her reasons though, and part of him wondered if he would be allowed to sit it out with her. Maybe he could use his injuries as an excuse? Hmmmm.

He wrinkled his nose at Vindictus' words and moved to stand beside her. "I believe Evange -- Evan was just hoping to study the theory, Sir." He hoped Vindictus didn't eat him.

Yup, she definitely should've skipped this lesson.

With a gulp, she shook her head at Vindictus question. She really wanted to reply she knew how to tie her shoelaces, but knew better than to answer an obvious rhetorical question. "I'm not sure, Sir. I dunno what I was thinking." She said, shaking her head and hoping the ground would just swallow her. "You know, I just have ..." Oh the same. "I've grown quite interested in Quidditch lately..for a reason unknown to me, and was just hoping to learn more." She could not believe it! She had just admitted her interest for Quidditch in public! Heh.

"I never thought it'd involve a ... practical approach to the game." She really, really hadn't. How very stupid of her. "It was very thoughtless of my and I apologise, Sir."

Feeling Clifford stand beside her, she nodded at his words. "He's right. I didn't. It was very silly of me." Now Vindictus would eat them both!

Ten minutes...need to get outdoors. "Even if you don't play, I want everyone on a broom outdoors pronto! The skilled players will protect you," he grinned and held the door open.

It seemed their 'excuses' hadn't worked, and Clifford wrinkled his nose. "I'm sorry, Evie." He sighed in defeat. He was trying to help. And it didn't work. He'd failed her. Bleh.

"I'll help you." He told her, grabbing some protective padding for both of them from one of the lockers. "I swear I won't let your face get as ugly as mine." He grinned playfully, hoping to cheer her up a little.

Experienced players protect the newbs?! But that was no fun. Booooo. Oh well. Ryan was happy with his cookies. Plus, he got to play quidditch again, which is always good.

He gathered all he needed for the rest of the lesson and....er....well, just waited.

For some reason, Amelia grew more nervous about the impending result of the cookies that the real boys scarfed down so quickly. And that grin; the cheesy grin that Max wore was just soo... intriguing.

Shaking her head, she sighed as she looked over at the Ravenclaw girl who volunteered to beat with her. "Awesome," she told her and about to state her name, she frowned stopping herself. "Er, the name's Mike, by the way," she told her winking, as she grabbed a broom and headed outside per Max's request.

Hermy picked up a broom and headed towards the other beater. "Nice to meet you Mike," she said smiling. "I'm He-" Ah. Vindictus hadn't given her a name. "I'm Henry." She quickly said. Who knew who might have been snooping around the door, and Hermy didn't want to take any chances. She followed 'Mike' out of the door and onto the pitch.

Jai blinked, she didn't know any of the boys and she wasn't an experienced player. Jai looked at Tommy, Tommy was experienced but she looked like she had a lot of things on her mind.

Five minutes . . . and they're slower than snails. "Okay - grab your brooms and everyone outside!" he yelled and stepped out into the elements. A shiver ran down his spine and he levitated the old trunk to his side. "Now, I want you to play nicely - this equipment is old and isn't as fast as it used to be." He opened the trunk and actually had to help one of the Bludgers get airborne. "Game on!"




OOC: I want you to play RPG Quidditch (like virtual Quidditch in WWW). But have fun missing your shots, dropping the Quaffle, etc. Again, this is all about having FUN. I'll pop in every so often and have Vindictus reply.

BTW, if your character ate the cookies Max handed out then you should be aware of something - they were made by Melita and cause severe gas (which is why Max started counting down the time - he wants the smell outside of his old locker room). Sure hope no one rips a hole in their trousers....

Ryan zoomed into the air and snagged the quaffle for the real boys' team. But something in his tummy felt funny.

Hermy was all ready and waiting by the time the last person made it out in to the cold air, amd was itching to get on her broom. She held her bat lightly in her left hand as the trunk was levitated outside, and watched eagerly as the two bludgers were released. Even if one was slightly tired looking.

Finally Max announced the game could start, and within a flash Hermy was chasing after the faster budger down the opposite end of the pitch. A few seconds later...THWACK! She hit it back down towards the other players, aiming for a boy.

Amelia nodded again towards 'Henry' and quickly replied, "And the same for you, Henry." She smiled as she then heard Max's call once they were outside.

She frowned as he said the equipment was old and not as fast as it once was; Aww bummer! But that's probably good for the inexperienced players... she thought, as she swung one leg over her broom and kicked off into the air.

The hufflepuff had to bite her lip again to keep from giggling as Max helped one of the bludgers become airborne. Eek! Her lip was going to be so sore by the end of the lesson! As Max called game on, she zoomed forward on the school broom which was much slower than what she was used to and moved to swing at the slow bludger. Except her eyes were averted towards the Ravenclaw Captain, who looked as thought he was about to burst....

Ryan normally would have easily dodged the bludgers, but he was on a slower broom and he was feeling a bit weighed down. He tried to swerve to the side, but in the process, was smacked by one bludger, spun around, and then smacked by the other one.

"AHHH!!!!!!"

And then he essploded. Not with joy like he normally did, but more like....cookie residue. He shot off like a rocket and just about lost control, spinning every which way.

"AaaahhhhhAAAHHHHH ahhhhhAHHHHH!!!!!!"

This writer is now faceplaming and thinking Oh, brother.

And Mia was quite correct with her predictions, as she heard the Ravenclaw captain scream from being smacked with bludgers. That wasn't the interesting part though; it was the after effect that came, with Ryan shooting off like a rocket. Like an explosion of...

EEK!! That smell!

Gulping, she held her breath and flew off in the opposite direction. "Eek!" she yelled loudly. "Forget the bludgers! Avoid the er... boys. The ones that ate cookies, i mean!!"

Hermy watched for the other bludger, and saw 'Mike' hit one towards Ryan. Which appeared to be exactly where her own one was headed. She grimaced as she watched Ryan get knocked by both, unused to his slower broom.

And then something weird happened. He sort of sped forward and kind of lost control. Totally unlike her captain. Hermy bit her lip. She hadn't just hit her own team captain hard in the head or something had she? Just in case, she mentally made a note to avoid Ryan with large bludger hits. She'd rather like to play in the final, with Ryan playing too and not in the hospital wing.

She was about fly under Ryan and attempt to catch him or something (if that was even possible with a bat in one hand) when she spotted the bludger going back towards him. Leaning forwards she headed for it and held out her bat to try and hit it.

As he was spinning in the air, propelled by bodily gases, Ryan could only think Uhhh.....so this is awkward and embarrassing.

Wonderful. But he had an idea. He heard the Hufflepuff captain screaming something and saw her covering her mouth and nose. MWAHAHAA. He could use this stank as a weapon. So, he decided to use his bum as a rudder and used it to help him steer and propel back toward the captain, and he snagged the quaffle again.

And he zoomed toward the hoops. ZOOOOOOM.

Ah. Hermy had just heard the Hufflepuff's shout, and it was only when she had solved the bludger problem that she realised what the Captain was on about. The smell was overwhelming. Eww. And if that was the cookies, boy was Hermy glad the girls hadn't been allowed any.

Now was a good to time to go down the other end of the field. Even if that meant Ryan scored. She'd rather be able to breathe, thank you very much. Though, perhaps a bubblehead charm would work? She'd wait til was away from all the males first, however.

Yet despite the overwhelming smell that led Mia to the opposite end of the pitch, she couldn't help but look back to see what Ryan was up to. Her eyes opened wide though as he zoomed towards the hoops in effort to score! It appeared Ryan did have a reason for being in Ravenclaw; he was using his newly acquired stench power to his advantage!

Oh no he doesn't; she grimaced, deciding right there she wasn't going to let a silly stench get to her. Besides, she was supposed to act like a boy, right? And boys didn't let noxious gases bother them...

With that new inspiration, the Hufflepuff captain turned in the air and zoomed back towards the other end. The smelly end. Bat in the air, ready to swing, her green eyes gazed around for that 10" iron ball.

Vindictus was prepared. He ran into the spare locker room and returned with a large burlap bag. Reaching inside, he pulled out a strange looking device that he stuck over his face. "Oh, much, much better," he grinned from behind the gas mask.

As Cale sat on his broom, floating in midair waiting for someone to pass him the Quaffle or even acknowledge that he was there, he felt something weird in his stomach. Kind of like he was going to be sick. No, that wasn't what it was...it was something worse.

Oh for the love of Merlin!

Groaning, he wrapped an arm across his stomach, using his free hand to cover his nose from the overwhelming smell that was now suspended in the air all around him. This was sick and embarrassing...and Anna was RIGHT THERE! That was it, he could never show his face in public again after this. Why oh why did Vindictus do this to them? What was with the professors these days? Did they get kicks out of bodily functions gone haywire?

Okay, so they were right in the middle of a Quidditch game, but Anna wasn't too busy at the moment. Or, at least. not too busy to go purposely fly near Cale. She streered her broomstick so that it would make turn around in the opposite direction, and she zoomed off down the pitch...right towards Cale.

As she got closer and closer, she noticed that Cale looked...uncomfortable. Was he hurt? Did he get hit by a bludger? Oh, no! Anna zommed faster and faster, intent on finding out what the problem was. She zig-zagged on her broom, dodging a few flyers who were darting around nearby. Finally, she was close enough to tell that Cale did seem to be okay...

...but Merlin...she could see now why he seemed to be so uncomfortable. Someone flying very near to him seemed to be wearing...old, musty socks...or something like that!

Cale looked up and saw Anna flying in his direction. His eyes popping out of his head slightly, he realized that he could not let her get close to him, otherwise she would obviously figure out what was going on. "No, Anna, don't come over here!" he called, flying to the other end of the pitch.

maddox was glad he hadnt had any of the cookies. He wasnt hungry at the time, and he sorta recognized them from lord borr's class. He did in fact however fly right behind Cale about 3 seconds after the gryffindor girl went to him and man did that guy stink. "Geez Mate, next time dont eat so many cookies." Said maddox with a laugh.

Finn was nervous. His flying was awful and he was supposed to play quidditch?

He mounted the broom and kicked off tentatively. He floated, wobbling, afraid to fall. He was only about 5 feet from the ground. As he looked up, he saw the others tossing quaffles and batting bludgers and he was frightened. What in the world am I going to do here? he wondered to himself.

Anna jerked her broom back, causing it to near about come to a sudden halt in mid-air. She eyed Cale suspiciously, thinking that those socks really must be terrible for him to react that way. She shook her at him, silently asking him what on Earth he was up to. "What are you doing?" she mouthed to him, but he probably didn't see any of that being that he'd just darted to the other end of the pitch. At least the socks smell was gone...

Anna jerked back again as she noticed a bludger fly about half a foot in front of her face. She better get her head back in the game. She darted off, thinking of a good strategy to get herself back into the game.
