Steelsheen found her way to Professor Pierce's office. She's been anxious to meet her, for many reasons. She knocked on the door waited for a response.

Kitty waited for the professor to answer the other girl- Crystal's question.

"Of course dear, have a seat. What did you want to know?" Alex asked as she gestured to one of the leather chairs.


"As for what you girls can read," she continued after hearing the girls questions, "Any Transfiguration book you get from the library would help, or just reading through you text books."

"Come in." she called ou the door.

Bell took the seat the professor gestered for her, she turned to the professor, and when she had stopped talking said,
"How was your summer porfessor, did you do anything fun?" She asked

Steelsheen gingerly opened the door, and saw that the Professor already had visitors. Uh oh, not good timing, she thought. But having come this far Steelsheen decided to at least introduce herself "Hello Professor I'm Regina Roa, first year Slytherin" she began, smiling warmly. "I've been looking forward to meet you Ma'am, not only because you're our Transfigurations Professor, but also, our Head of House." She fell in an awkward silence. She wanted to say more, but didnt know if letting it all out would be too much for a first time meeting, specially from a young one such as herself.

"My summer was alright dear, nothing to exciting. And yours?" Alex asked with a smile. She needed a headache potion desperatly, the picture of the minister was making her ill.

"Nice to meet you Regina, I'm Professor Pierce, thank you for the introduction and welcome to Hogwarts. Can I help you with anything dear?"

Steelsheen opened her mouth to speak her mind, but saw the Professor not looking too good. Instead she says "If you dont mind my saying Professor, you dont seem well. Do you need anything from the Infirmary? Headache pills? Chocolate?...." then her eyes falls on the image plastered on the desk "a crowbar perhaps?"

"Oh mine was great professor" Bell answered

"A headache potion wouldnt go amiss, but I can get that dear. And though the crowbar is a nice idea, I think I'll spare my desk for now, until I have a replacement." Alex replied with a small grin.

"Oh, alright then" Steelsheen replied, the butterflies in her stomach returning. She bit her lower lip Well have it out then, thats what you're here for she told herself.

Clearing her throat she began "Professor, I just wanted to speak with you about... the status quo. Now I'm not complaining..." she said raising her hands in defense "I mean, after all, Slytherin House is treated the best among all the houses, and truly we appreciate that, but... it is exactly that kind of inequality that some of us-- well I..." since I'm the only one here "...have been concerned about." She looks at her Head of House imploringly "Professor, is there anything you could advice that we do to even things out or perhaps, by some chance, end the disparity and bring things back to the way they were?"

Alex's eyebrows raised in confusion, "Status quo? In equality? What are you talking about Miss?" she asked.

Steelsheen looks at the Professor confounded by the response. How could she not know about the situation at the Great Hall? Then Steelsheen suddenly remembered, she didnt recall ever seeing the Professor at all, either at the staff table or anywhere in the Hall during opening feast.

She bit her lip and started to explain "Well Professor, what I meant about inequality is that the Gryffindors and the Hufflepuffs seem to have gotten some pretty shabby treatment since they got here. Take their House table at the Great Hall, not only are they cramped up with a smaller, splintery tables and seats, but their tableware leaves much to be desired. I don't think they even have a knife since I recall one of them coming over to our table asking to borrow one. I dont even know if they're being served the same kind of food we Slytherins enjoy." she said looking down sadly. "There also seems to be some commotion with their Common Room. Although I havent seen these first hand, but I could hear from many students how distraught they are over it."

Alex frowned, now she understood. "I wish I could do something about it dear, Gryffindor is my old house after all. Unfortunetly, some people," at this she glared at the Minister's picture, "Have descided Gryffindor's and Hufflepuffs dont deserve the same treatment as the other two houses. You see, the Minister was a Slythering and his wife a Ravenclaw." she finished giving the girl a significant look. "Trust me dear, if there was anything I could do out right, I would! Though thank you for bringing it to my attention, though as I said I cant do anything out right." Alex's face remain sympathetic but blank until the last two words, she gave Steelsheen a mischivous smile and a wink.

Steelsheen couldn't hide her surprise at Professor Pierce's former house. "You were a Gryffindor?" she chuckled as a grin slowly spread across her face "I hope you're not feeling too bad about heading Slytherin house, I mean not all of us are snakes in the grass, if you know what I mean" she said smirking.

Her brow furrowed thoughtfully upon hearing Mr and Mrs Cooper's former houses. "I had heard that Minister Cooper was a Slytherin, but I didnt realize that Mrs Belle-Cooper was a Ravenclaw. That explains why the Ravenclaw table looked fairly decent as well. Now I'm starting to get the feeling that she may have had a hand at whats happened with Ravenclaw Common Room. Its right next to ours and I could see and hear the girls moaning about it when they were first in there. Something to do with flowers." she shrugged sympathetically.

Steelsheen was crestfallen when the Professor started saying there was nothing she can do, but caught the mischievous grin and wink towards the end. Good, sounds like we're in the same mental wavelength. I'm starting to like this lady. she thought gratefully as she replied "Well Professor, if there is anything you'd like us to do from here on end, anything at all, please do know that my services are at your disposal." and gave the Professor a knowing grin.

Bell sat there listening to the conversation in front of her.

Amanda knocked on the door of Professor Pierce's office, she needed to say something about what happened in class. She looked down, feeling quite bad for what she did in class.

Krysta practically ran upto Professor Pierce's door and knocked loudly.
"Professor! Professor, I really need to talk to you!"
She coudln't wait and barged open the door, ignoring the young Slytherin girl who had been waiting patiently outside.
"Oh." she mumbled meekly when she saw several young students in the office, all of whom were fighting for attention. She smiled sheepishly at them all, a bit embarrassed by her outburst. A few of the faces looked familiar. She waved at Crystal: a first year Hufflepuff she had met in Diagon Alley weeks before and grinned at her.

"Come on in." Alex called to the door.

OOC: Asume the other students have left the office

Amanda walked into the Professor's office once she was given the okay to come in. "Professor, I'd like to apoligize for messing around in class, I'm sorry for that".

"Professor,I'm sorry to burst in like this." Krysta gasped and sank into a chair.
"I'm having some...'transmogrification troubles'." she explained, awkwardly.
"I don't understand it. For some reason I just can't transform anymore. I've been an animagi for years and now...zip. The change just won't come. It's like something's blocking me." she looked at her teacher imploringly.

Alex nodded, "Its alright, I apreciate the apology. Is there anything else I can do for you dear?"
Alex raised her eyebrow as the girl explained, "An animagi for years? Dear, you do realize that it is almost impossible to become an anamagi that young, it takes at least five years of studying and alot of magical knowledge. That would make you... 11 when you started to study? And if you've been one for 'years' you would be even younger. Sorry dear, nice try, but I only do Animagus training for seventh years and the occasional mature sixth year." she said with a skeptical look.

"Yes I do Professor, For the Snafius Danium transformation we learnt last lesson, is there certain limits to that, like can you change into any animal or only certain ones?" Amanda asked curiously.

Alex smiled, "Any animal will work."

Krysta shook her head desperately. She coudn't believe that Professor Pierce didn't believe her.
"Professor, this isn't a trick! I swear. I first transmogrified when I was 7 years old. My Mother has been training me since I was tiny. The ability runs in my family. You can check with the Ministry, Professor. I'm registered." she pleaded, hoping that the woman would listen.

Alex frowned, "Transmogrified? Do you mean transformed? I apologize, but an 7 year old Animagus is next to impossible Miss, I have been studying Transfiguration for 35 years and have never heard of anything like that. As I said before, you need to have a very large ammount of magical knowledge and ability to become an Animagus, I myself only achieved it when I was 27, after studying since I was 18. For a 7 year old, its very nearly impossible."
