| | | Lord Borr's First Lesson Lord Borr was dressed in his usual brown and plaid and pants, his flawless ironed button up shirt with two thick suspenders keeping his pants up. He looked good and there weren't any questions or doubts about it. He strode into his classroom, a dark room of no nonsense: just rows of desks.
On each desk were a pair of nail clippers, a bowl of warm water, and a hand towel. Lord Borr's door was open as he approached his chalk board and wrote the word:
He dusted his hands off on his pants, leaving big white chalky thumb prints on them and then sat down heavily into a chair he'd pulled around in front of desk. |

Will dried his pants with a charm and leaned up against a wall near the window, watching the scene unfold with a smirk. What in Merlin's highwater rubber pants had Kingston been thinking, anyway, levitating the Sultan of Stink? He bit the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing at the Leading Laddie's predicament. After all, Borr was likely to come down on all of them. "You could always conjure up a battering ram..." he quipped, though honestly he really kind of liked the concept of Borr being thrust through the door via battering ram. He grinned at the mental image... That. would. be. EPIC! "Seriously-- just bring him back in. Or, like Cliffie said, we could just hop out this here window-- we're all on the first floor, after all. 'Course, I wouldn't want to leave Kingston in the lurch and somebody's gonna have to either unstick him or explain how the heck he got stuck to begin with. Maybe both. " He shrugged a little. "What if we just used a variation on the 'wasi' charms-- you know, like waddiwasi to shoot gum out through a keyhole? Only instead of waddi-, we'd need to use the latin term for Professor-- or man, I suppose." If you could call Borr a man. "What would that be, then-- Homowasi?" he speculated, raising an eyebrow. He still liked the battering ram idea, but this might work, too. "Of course, we could always be logical and safe about this, and send one of us out the window to fetch another teacher for help. That seems like the most logical thing to do, and least likely to injure Borr. In fact, I volunteer for the job if y'all think we should do that." He leaned back, waiting to see what they- especially Kingston -- thought.

Nico chuckled from his spot on the desk; how interesting that Will's first thought was to escape from the scene of the crime.
"Well you could go around the front of him and forcefeed him cookies until he blasts himself out of this mess. But then that will likely result in Kingston here getting himself in a fair wallop of trouble."

And smelly, too.
He let them talk, Cale and Will and Kingston and Nico and Clifford and what-not and who-not. In the meanwhile, he sat on his desk, glad that he did not have to follow any more of the ogre - Oops! Lord Borr's - instructions. Ten minutes later, he realized that the group of boys animatedly discussing their Professor's fate had made no genuine progress, as far as taking a decision was concerned.
"Just blast him out," he told all the boys in general, jumping down from his desk. "Blast him out, and clear his memory." Yes. That was it. It seemed nice enough, memory modification. |

Blasting sounded fun. And actually he rather liked the idea of returning Lord Borr none the wiser to his previous position; since they could all breathe now thanks to Kingston and it would make the rest of the lesson more bearable...If there was a rest-of-the-lesson.
"Go on then." Nicholai responded still grinning, "Meanwhile I think I'll do some homework and get some more points for Slytherin." Nico winked around those of his housemates that were watching and pushed himself off the desk; sauntering over to his original seat and pulling his equipment out of his bag.
"Just yell if you need a hand." he added, turning to his homework.

"Blast him out?" Shel repeated, blinking. Of course, he had not been joking, he had been quite serious about the suggestion. But Nico's mention of homework reminded him of the many house points this might cost him, and how he might end up being given all the blame.
Still. It might be worth the risk.
He raised his wand - and lowered it again. No. Not a good idea, he decided. His eyes travelled to Cale, and he gave him a quick, inquiring look. The sort of look that said help! Or 'Get-me-outta-here,' if you read it a little differently.
He turned his attention to Nico, once again. "I don't think I want to risk him exploding," he said, with a grin. "Not unless everyone else is ready to risk it with me." And by that he obviously meant he wouldn't budge - not with a wand, at least - until someone else helped him. Preferrably three Professors, and twenty students. Not.
Maybe he should do some more homework, too. Always fun, homework. As long as it was not Ancient Runes, of course. Quote:

It was a wonder Shel's mouth didn't fall open. "How about we bring the Giant Squid in, and it can be a contest between who can be stuck better in a doorway," he suggested dryly. |

"Use Glisseo, then blast him." He nodded, " And I'll just stay over here...out of the way of a possible backfire."

Will's eyes sparkled at Shel's suggestion, delighted at the idea-- until he realized he was being droll. Ha ha, very funny. He shrugged. He was tapped for ideas- an enlarging spell, a battering ram, push and pull him to freedom, go get a teacher, or countdown to blasting out of Borr...He was game for anything, as it all sounded very entertaining and better than just bickering over a solution until he woke up. The irony of the situation was not lost on Will- first all the boys had to stick their bums in the water, and now Borr's bum was stuck in a similarly unfortunate predicament. Tee hee. "But if we blast him-- there's enough gas still in this room that the whole school is likely to go up in flames, kaboom-style." Will said offhandedly.

"Maybe he'll explode if we let him stay there," he suggested optimistically. "And then the whole of Cooper's will be - err - unhappy enough to let us go back to Hogwarts." Unhappy of the smell, that is. Quote:

"We're not inviting the Giant Squid, then?" he asked expectantly. It was, after all, not a very bad idea. Maybe the Giant Squid could even help them. Push the big, fat Ogre out, and all. You know. |

I still think it all boils back down to Kingston...and perhaps Will." He grinned at the Slytherin Prefect, "It seems the two of you are in all of this together."
Nico was enjoying himself; he could see most of the others were too. Leading Lady. He was ready to deny them outright, of course. He had said Leading Lad, I tell you, he had said Leading Lad! These people just didn't hear right!
"Personally, I wouldn't want anyone to lose any points," he added. Of course, if Gryffindor could gain, say, three-million-sixty-seven-thousand-five-hundred-thirty-nine points, he was all for it. "I would be happier if we could all just get out of here, safe." And non-smelling. He didn't say that aloud, though, but his insides curled up at the thought of the smell, all the same. |

"Yes, Leading Laddie," he replied in an over the top fake scottish brogue, wondering if Kingston had caught that.

Oh good god did he love fireworks! particularly the kind you got when mixing experimental potions together...daydreaming; a slightly disturbing maniacal expression painted his face.

Oh good god did he love fireworks! particularly the kind you got when mixing experimental potions together...daydreaming; a slightly disturbing maniacal expression painted his face. He might have blushed but, at five feet ten inches and seventeen years of age, Shel decided it would not be a very manly thing to do.
"Yes," he said, a little too quickly. "That's what I meant - Leading Laddie." Yup. That was it. Nico had clearly heard it all wrong, yes.
- What a big, fat lie to his own self.
He noticed the maniacal expressions now passing over Nico's face, and raised an eyebrow. "It will be worth it, trust me," he said, a little dryly. As long as he doesn't begin to perfume us all even more. "It just needs a little practice. I'm sure these guys here have all of it." He smiled sweetly, looking around at everyone else.
Hehehe. He was enjoying this, you know. |

| Lowsee ☆ The Joker ☆ Fantastic Baby! ☆ HufflyPuffly "You could always conjure up a battering ram..."
"Just blast him out"

Too many noises were fogging up his brain and not letting him think straight. He was roughly rubbing his temples with the tip of his fingers, trying to refrain his headache from growing some more. He hoped.
As the boy's voices were getting louder, he couldn't take it anymore. Turning he took out a deep breath and glared at all of the boys, his blue eyes dead serious. "BE QUIET. Merlins you all sound like girls at a bloody tea party! Just be QUIET a second and let me think!"
With that, he nervously raked his hair and stared at Lord Borr's bottom. Greasing is out of the question. He'd end up seeing the grease in his clothes. And Kingston was NOT going to change his clothes. The mere thought of it made him sick to his stomach. Getting a professor would make this worse. Kingston wasn't going to let the boys take the blame for something HE did. So no professor.
What could they do...?
And idea popped up in Kingston's head and he grinned.
"I have an idea," he spoke up after what seemed to be ten minutes. "But first." Kingston turned to face Shell. He smiled warmly at the younger boy and spoke up, "You call me Kingston. Wendleworth. Nothing more than those two names. Understood? No Leading Lady. No Leading Lad. None of that. Not even King. Understood? This goes for all of you," he said, turning to face the boys.
"Now, the idea is someone is going to have to jump over that window and go to the other side of the door." Kingston smiled, leaning on his right foot while his arms were crossed. "I suggest three boys do this. I won't do it since I would be on this side, trying to enlarge the door a bit. I wouldn't want to enlarge the whole thing because it may get stuck as I am not very good at that spell," he paused, taking a breath. "So, the three boys would be pulled Borr from the other side while I enlarge the door inch by inch."
"What do you say, boys?" Kingston finally asked, raking his hair once more, wearing a satisfied smile.

Will raised an eyebrow, still leaning against the wall. Oh no he didn't-- first 'assigning' homework, then causing this mess, and now barking orders like a tiny general? This guy was too much, and he was going to get the other boys into a heap of trouble if this went wrong. The boys on the Borr side of the door were bound to be killed --or worse, lose points-- if he came suddenly loose and went flying, and if they did survive the Borr attack, would likely wake when he was freed and kill 'em dead when he realized what was going on.

Kingston turned to Will and frowned. Why was he looking at him like that? He was looking at him as though he was...
Ahh...
Walking up to him, he leaned into the boy's ear. "I have my reasons for doing this, Will. Do you imagine how ecstatic Borr would be if he found himself in his lounge lying on the couch very comfortably? And he'd be very pleased to know that we gave these boys homework. It would let us gain his trust some more. And with what I want to speak to with Borr... You'll see. But for me to do this, I need you. Hate me if you will, but I really do need your help in this."

Nicholai cocked his head at Will; who clearly wasn't amused.
"You know; he isn't going to stay asleep forever. we have to do something. I prefered the other alternative; bringing him back in here and doing our best to pretend like all of this hasn't happened," Nico pointed at the blocked doorway; trying not to look at the slowly vibrating material of Lord Borr's pants.
"But doing something is better than doing nothing."
Nico turned to Kingston, "Although if you aren't so good at the spell perhaps you should go around the front end...so you can sweet talk him if he wakes up of course."

"I will do the enlarging spell... I mean I am almost at every charm, hex and spell I evere studied or read about and that one isn't that tough" Ray suddenly said after moments of silence.

Shel rolled his eyes, though a grin was already making its way across his face. Ah yes, this was the life. NOT! HELPHELPHELP!
"It won't help much, being quiet," he told Kingston. "That won't get his fat bum out of that doorway." Quote:

"And you can call me Shel. Sheldon Ambrose, actually, but Shel."
What a nice, spiffy time for introductions, this. The thought was as funny as it was mortifying. Quote:

Oh yeah, that was amazing. Really amazing. Sure to lose them at least 59050843027329 x infinity house points. Even more, possibly. Still, since the alternative seemed being stuck inside the classroom until the ogre woke up or, worse, exploded, Shel decided to go along with it.
"Fine," he said. "But where's the proof I won't have to live the rest of my life doing the same stuff that he does, after touching him?" Yeah, he needed sound proof, Shel did. Because being a Borr would be - would be - Gross.
Gross, I tell you, gross! It would be an outrage! He didn't want to be turned out of his house, and out of Sarah's life, too. Not for some stupid, fat man who couldn't get himself out of a doorway. |

Lord Borr let a loud, long, bit of air escape. It was almost in the tone of an alarm, unceasing and unnerving. He twitched, mumbled something, and dozed back off.

"Should someone wake him?" Antwone asked cautiously as he threw out his cookie in a waste bin.

Shel took a hasty step back, before half his world seemed to crash down on him. Oh yes, he was used to the damp, damp noises that their lovely History of Magic Professor emitted without break. Almost like a very hardworking man who will not give up working, no matter what. The only problem was - Lord Borr didn't need to work too hard on his noises. And they weren't pleasing. At all.
But his world really did seem to crash down on him, when the fat man twitched. Then mumbled something. WAS HE WAKING? "He's waking," he said, to everyone in general and no one in particular, to Kingston and Will and Nico and Cale and what not and who not. And then Lord Borr had dozed back off.
"He isn't," Shel said, breathing a sigh of relief as he corrected his own statement with an amazing amount of gratitude - gratitude to whom, he had no idea, and he didn't want to, either.
"Well!" he said, looking round at the others. "Let's get rolling and do something before he really does wake up!" Oh God. Why was he stuck here? Why, oh why? It would be better eating grass by a riverside, or something like that. Quote:
