Professor West was nearly running late. But, of course, she wasn't. She was just later than she would prefer to be. After ushering the two young girls from her office she flew down the corridor and opened her observatory. Since she was later than planning, she was still throwing pillows down onto the floor as she waved her wand at the ceiling and willed it to open. It was as she had a blue fluffy pillow and was getting ready to toss it to the floor as you entered the room.

Steelsheen glanced at the Professor as she changed the skies again, this time to summer. She returned to her stargazing, but desperately trying to recall the differences between the seasons. It hard to tell which constellation moved where and when without so much as a star chart, she thought.

Alycya was now openly scowling at the sky. She didn't care much that the sky was now summer. She only cared that this was the last scene. Hopefully then they would actually learn something. Like they are supposed to do in a classroom. She could be using this time to do the mountains of homework she now had. But no, she was lying down on the cold stone floor of the Astronomy classrom, looking at a fake sky. How depressing. She only hoped they would learn something soon.

The last scene for the night? Well they sure had not seen much. "I hope she plans on explaining something," Destini thought to herself. If they were just going to look at the sky she could do that any old night at home.

Starting at the professor's voice, Shayna stared absently at the sky, stifling another yawn. Again, she hardly saw any difference in the constellations. Atleast this was the last one, then maybe the professor'd be obliged to explain what they were actually meant to be seeing.

Astrid spotted her favorite constellations and smiled. You could always see Pegasus so clearly on a summer's night. She hoped that they would get a homework assignment about them. Right now she'd be happy with any homework that didn't involve songwriting again.

Via loved to stargaze, especially to see the Cassiopeia constellation, which was her favourite. She didn't care if it was a fake sky they'd been staring at. She loved to be there.

Via turned her head and saw Astrid staring at the fake sky, she smiled. Professor West doesn't want students chatting in her class so Via didn't say anything. She saw another girl, perhaps a Slytherin. She smiled at her.

Sapphire saw an astrid and went to turn to the griffindor student but remembered that she wasn't allowed to talk as she had already lost 5 house points she waved discreatly instead

Linnea smiled then, noticing that some girls were paying attention and others weren't, she could tell by the way their eyes had glazed over.

She gave her wand a wave and the ceiling turned off, and the candles became brighter, slowly so the students would have an easier time adjusting their eyes.

"Okay, ladies, that's all for tonight. For your homework, you're to write 5 things you saw in the sky and choose one of them to write a 5 paragraph essay on."

ooc: yes, the whole sky thing did have a point. Because I will be checking your posts, if you didn't RP seeing it, then you didn't see it. You may still write the essay, but you won't get full credit. Remember, no editing posts allowed in my class, if I see any edited post, it will be ignored (unless edited before I posted this.) PM homework to me no later than Monday June 23rd at 11:30pm CST. Be sure your name, user ID and house are included otherwise full credit will not be granted.

Destini waited as the lights came up and her eyes adjusted. She then raised her hand and asked," Just to make sure Professor. The months we looked at were September, November, April, and July. Is this correct?"

Elodie's eyes were still adjusting to the brightness after the last scene, and she blinked- rubbing them furiously.

She suppressed a small groan. Writing. She liked to write, but she had been hoping they would get to draw out what they saw in the night sky, instead of writing about it. A girl across the class room asked on clarification on the specific months, and Elle's ears perked up. Waiting for the Professor to give her confirmation, she sat there trying to recall specific things from the sky.

Steelsheen sat up and jotted the Professor's homework and instructions quickly on her parchment. She tried to recall what she saw from the rundown through all four seasons. This is not gonna be easy, not with a 5 paragraph essay to add to the mounting homework that has yet to be finished. Steelsheen stood up, returned the pillow to the Professor and waited for her to dismiss the class.

Cela wrote the homework down in her journal and bit her lip; she had been lying back watching the sky the entire time and already had an idea about what she was going to write about but she had been daydreaming a little and hoped that wouldn't effect her grade.

She smiled at Steelsheen and around at the other girls as their eyes adjusted.

"Thank you, Professor; it was interesting to observe the differences in the sky." she nodded, adding, "And I really am sorry about earlier."

*Sheeta realized she had seen a bit of what was going on in the sky changes, but not necessarily enough to write a five paragraph essay. She bit her lip and realized she may not get as much credit but she would have to go look at a book at the library.*
