Katelyn, sitting next to Dan, Ems, and Josh, sighed as she scribbled as fast as her hands would go. Though they hadnt really even started class, she already had a whole novel of notes! Silly Ravenclaw...She smiled as Ravenclaw, so far at least, hadnt really lost any major points. Hopefully it would stay that way.

Laylee was very excited to be in her favortie class once again. No matter what issues she had been dealing with at the time, a good Trasfiguration lesson always made Laylee happy.
After having walked in the familiar class a few minutes ago, Laylee had realized that it had become less familiar than she remembered. Professor Pride was no where in site. The woman, which was standing infront of the class, was the new teacher of her favortie subject. Laylee wondered what had happened to professor Pride, and hoped she was OK.
Laylee was sitting in the second row, her books and supplies already spread neatly across her desk. She wrote down her new professors name at the top of her parchment and began writing notes on everything she already knew about Switching Spells. She also turned her text book to the appropriate page and got out a library book she was borrowing that was about the deeper studies of Tranfiguration.
Afterward Laylee looked up excitedly, ready to learn.

"I was sitting there because I--well it's hard to explain," it was hard for Wednesday to explain. She thought about the right words she should use. Should I tell him everything? Maybe I don't have to...

"I come from a long lineage of Slythies," she whispered, "and me and my brothers are the only Ravvies in the family. Thanks to that, I've always felt...out of place. But sitting at the Slythie table made me feel in place and normal. Silly isn't it?"

Her robes were all around her. Samantha hurried.

She entered the classroom and chose a seat next to a girl she did not know. First class of the term for her. She had dropped Defence, this term.

Jessy laughed a little. "No I don't think that's silly at all... I know how you feel, I really do." Jessy said while looking away, thinking about something he'd never tell anyone...

"Thanks for sharing. I really do wish you were in Slytherin...Our common room is quite cozy." Jessy said while laughing in a deep voice. Jessy decided to change the subject. "So where are you originally from?" This time Jessy frowned with interest at Wednesday.

Emma was beyond ecstatic. She had been looking forward to Transfiguration the most, and she was finally here! Her book was in front of her, and her quill and parchment were all ready to take notes...she sat patiently at her desk, waiting to learn about her favorite subject.

Josh was tired of losing house points. Wednesday could talk all she wanted, but he wasnt about to let a fellow slytherin talk. he looked over at the two and then said in a low voice." Look... no offense, but you both need to stop talking. Your both going to lose house points. We JUST lost five points for a kid being late. If you lose us any more points im afraid i will have to hex you. " he smiled nicely at the two."Nice seeing you again Wednesday." he said as he then turned back to face the front. Maybe they would shut up.he hated to be mean but this was house points. House Points.

Jai giggled at Josh's threat then stuck her tongue out at him, she enjoyed mocking him so she went on to mouthing incoherent words, mocking speach. She smiled surpressing a giggle and turned around.

Cassandra growled inwardly. This kid wasn't even a first year! Why was it always her house?!

She watched the professor... she was such a different professor from Pride. She was angry that that Ocean fellow told her he was the transfiguration professor... she should have hexed him.

Cassandra rolled her eyes. She let the other kids answer because she was busy figuring this one out, but she shoo her head. Did the kids not pay attention? She raised her hand and then stood up.

"Excuse me professor, we learned a lot more than that. Apart from the Oppugno charm, the Inferell charm and the Orchideous charm, which we learned the year prior to last, we also had a theory lesson on a few other charms.

"Episkey to heal wounds; Phosfornus, to make things glow in any color you think of; Dupladius, which duplicates nearly anything; Dusarius Biradium, transforms any kind of object into a bird; Liqubrium, which changes an object from solid to liquid, and Solinus changed it back.

"Professor Pride also told us she had planned on doing a lesson on transfigure parts of your body this term, which I was really looking forward to learning..." Cassandra let it trail off and sat back down.

Cassandra smirked as the professor took away 8 points, but when she said she was a Gryffindor, Cassandra's heart sank... Great...

Josh was right. Wednesday didn't want anyone from her house to be ticked off because of her flirting with Jessy. She nodded to Josh, with agreement, and turned bright red. Then turned to Jessy and put her finger over her lips.

Switching Spells, Austin thought to himself, that could be interesting. He pulled out his transfiguration book, looking for the section on switching spells. Austin knew that he had seen it when he had skimmed through his textbooks before the start of term, but he couldn't seem to remember exactly what pages it was on.

Jessy nodded curtly at the boy named Josh. "I'm terribly sorry, you're absolutely right." Jessy said quietly. He then smiled at Wednesday's gesture to be quite then paid full attention to the teacher. He hoped that the professor would mercy him.

Laylee looked around the room, waiting for the lesson to begin. She noticed a familiar boy in her year searching for the right page in his text book. What was his name again?...... Austin!
Laylee whispered his named to get his attention, and slightly lifted her own book, showing him the page. Laylee smiled at him, hoping that he was looking for the chapter on Switching Spells. If he wasnt then Laylee would most likely find herself feeling embarrassed.

Alexis was sleepy she hadnt slept well the night before but switching spells sounded insterting, she got out her transfiguration book and started to make notes.

Curt raised an eyebrow at the kid who joked to the Professor, it would've been funny in any other subject...but not Transfiguration, Curts best subject. Once Professor Pierce had mentioned that they were going to be practicing switching spells, Curt's face lit and up and he evidently looked extremely excited. He had this chapter already creased in his textbook as he had already read though it. There were notes written all over the pages, things such as reminders and things that helped him out. It was safe to say that he was already pretty good at them. Still grinning, Curt looked up to the Professor, excited to see what she had to say about them.

Rhiannon had been quiet since she had entered the class a few seconds before it had started. She hadn't been able to answer the professor's question anyway. She hadn't been at Hogwarts last term. She sighed as she figured out that she was going to have a lot of catching up to do. Doodling in her journal, she wondered if she'd be able to ask Amelia or any of the others she had been talking to previously in the term for help.

But she was excited to learn about switching spells. They hadn't gotten to those at her old school, and she had read about them.

Matt was seated near the front but still couldnt really understand what on earth the teacher was talking about. Every time he tried to transfigure something, he always goofed up. He felt bad for himself and just sat there, wating for the class to finish soon.

"Oh I hope I can do this one im so looking forward to it"

Ponessa pulled out a new notebook and her best quill and opened up to the first page, heading her paper. She set down the quill and sighed almost scilently, this was one of her favorite classes.

When the Professor asked what spells they had learned last year, Hayli did not raise her hand. She was a first year after all, so she hardly knows any spells.

She furrowed her eyebrows when a student made the cheeky comment. 'Why would anyone be like that to a professor? She thought.

When the Professor spoke again, Hayli quickly wrote Switching Spells at the top of her parchment.

"Can anyone tell me what the purpose of a switching spell is?" Alex asked loudly.

Emily raised her hand "Switching spells are a category of Transfiguration spells that swap one thing for another."

"I believe that the point of a switiching spell is to swap one thing for another professor" Willow said with her hand in the air.

"In Transfiguration, switching spells are used to change one thing in another." Jess answered with her hand raised up.

Alex nodded, "Correct, 5 points to Slytherin. In what situation could you see yourself using this spell?"
