The Broomshed

The Broomshed is a place where the Hogwarts school brooms are stored when not being used by students participating in Flying Class or Quidditch. The shed is located one hundred yards from the Quidditch Pitch and appears to be on the verge of collapse to the untrained eye. Carefully open the door that miraculously hangs on rusted hinges and inside you'll find the broomsticks hanging from the ceiling and leaning up against the walls. Select your broomstick with care before heading out to class and return it to it's resting place when class is over. At the center of the room is a large wooden table surrounded by benches - take care not to get any splinters if you decide to take a seat while tuning up your broom!

Basic Broomshed Rules:
1. RP your character getting a broom for class/returning a broom/caring for a broom, etc. Please be aware that there are no Firebolts in the shed.
2. Broomsticks in here are for Flying Class and Quidditch uses only. If your character sneaks in to take a broom for a flight by the lake or on other areas of school grounds, expect a loss of House Points and/or Detention. If this becomes a problem (I hope it doesn't), the thread will be closed when class is not in session. On another note, all other kinds of RPing can take place in here - from polishing your broomstick to finding a quiet place to study, etc.
3. The Broomshed is not a place for public displays of affection (PDA) - violators will lose House Points and gain a date in the Dungeons (aka, Detention).
4. Observe SS Board Rules at all times.

Alex nodded. "I played sir, though it was quite a long time ago." She told him she looked around the class, it seemed like a lot of people had played the muggle game before.

Jason whispers to kerry, "remember what he did to Agie" " I want him ,too, he is such a big mouth" Jason told her. I play Muggle dodgeball all the time at home" Jason told the professor.

"Muggle dodgeball?" Anna asked. "I'm pretty sure I've played it once or twice with some cousins," she explained, walking up beside Kerry.

"Excellent!" Vindictus grinned and pointed over to Professor Clark who silently continued to fill up balloons with a foul smelling potion. "We're going to play something similar to that. Now, each of you will need to fill up your bag with at least ten of the potion filled balloons - no more than fifteen will fit in your bag. Please do that now."

Jezz walked over to the balloons and grabbed twelve of them. She wondered what they were for but trusted that the professor would explain eventually. They weren't too heavy, but she could feel their weight. When they were safely in her bag she walked back to her friends.

Marco filled up his little bag with as many balloons as he could. He counted 15 as they went in. He headed back to the back of the classroom.

Anna scrunched up her nose a bit as she got a whiff of a foul smell coming from the balloons. Nevertheless, she did as she was told and filled her bag with ten of the potion-filled balloons. "This should be interesting," she thought to herself.

Alex looked at Professor Vindictus, confusion on her face. Dodgeball with potion filled water balloons? She got up and did as he asked, not really wanting to get back on his bad side. "Er, professor, exactly what is in these water balloons?" She asked, noticing the foul odor.

Gwen filled her bag with a handful of balloons. "My Muggle cousins love dodgeball," she grumbled.

Kerry looked at Jason and just shook her head, "Not now..." she whispered back. It was too close to the championship game to be seeking revenge on anyone. Besides, Kerry was intrigued by the task at hand - as she stood up and grabbed 15 balloons filled with potion and placed them in her bag.

"This is gonna be fun," Kerry smirked.

Rapunzel exhaled deeply and ambled towards the cauldron. She reached in and started loading her bag, being extremely careful in handling the balloons. Who knows what these balloons hold, Punz thought. Probably some nasty potion that gave you welts where you didn't want them or boils in bad places....

She loaded her bag with a round dozen balloons and then wandered back to her corner. Good, quiet, peaceful corner of the shed.

Hermy frowned slightly. She had played a version of dodgeball, but it was nothing like the actual game. But there again, this was a flying lesson and would be nothing like the Muggle game anyway.

Getting up, she headed to collect some balloons. She counted about twelve, and noticed that the room smelt rather pungent over in that direction. Holding her bag carefully, Hermy returned to her seat, intrigued to say the least.

Juniper blinked. Potion-filled balloons? What in the world...? She opened her mouth, then closed it. At least the balloons were already filled. Juniper looked at her bag. Holding it open, she counted balloons as she carefully set them in the bag. One, two.......ten. There. Dodgeball with potion-filled balloons. Not a pleasant prospect for the short first year.

Rhiannon went over and put fifteen of the balloons in her bag, returning to the Ravenclaw team. She was trying desperately not to breathe through her nose, so as to hopefully avoid smelling the odor coming out of the balloons. But she also didn't want to end up not having anything, while she was up against people who had.

Brianna glanced around towards her teammates with confused look on her face. She thought she had an idea of what they were playing, but she didn't know how this will turn out. She headed over the other ravenclaws where she began filling up the water ballons with that potion. What a horrid smell? Brianna thought as stopped breathing out of her nose.

Bella filled her bag with 14 balloons, wrinkling her nose as she walked off, standing beside Juniper and raising an eyebrow, this was going to be interesting.

"Now this is a wizard's version of Muggle dodgeball, except we're armed with these Muggle balloons filled with a special potion," Vindictus began. "I need for each of you to listen very carefully because this can get dangerous."

He looked at them and continued since they appeared eager and ready for the mission. "We've received reports that animals are gathering at the front of the Castle . . . and that these animals might be your missing classmates."

He left it there so that it could sink in.

Amelia scrunched her nose up as she walked over to the cauldron and began to fill her bag with the balloons. She counted them carefully, making sure to place 15 into the bag. Eww, who knows what this potion was of, she thought, making sure there was no leakage.

She then walked back over to the peaceful corner where Rapunzel was. Missing classmates... right...
