The Broomshed

The Broomshed is a place where the Hogwarts school brooms are stored when not being used by students participating in Flying Class or Quidditch. The shed is located one hundred yards from the Quidditch Pitch and appears to be on the verge of collapse to the untrained eye. Carefully open the door that miraculously hangs on rusted hinges and inside you'll find the broomsticks hanging from the ceiling and leaning up against the walls. Select your broomstick with care before heading out to class and return it to it's resting place when class is over. At the center of the room is a large wooden table surrounded by benches - take care not to get any splinters if you decide to take a seat while tuning up your broom!

Basic Broomshed Rules:
1. RP your character getting a broom for class/returning a broom/caring for a broom, etc. Please be aware that there are no Firebolts in the shed.
2. Broomsticks in here are for Flying Class and Quidditch uses only. If your character sneaks in to take a broom for a flight by the lake or on other areas of school grounds, expect a loss of House Points and/or Detention. If this becomes a problem (I hope it doesn't), the thread will be closed when class is not in session. On another note, all other kinds of RPing can take place in here - from polishing your broomstick to finding a quiet place to study, etc.
3. The Broomshed is not a place for public displays of affection (PDA) - violators will lose House Points and gain a date in the Dungeons (aka, Detention).
4. Observe SS Board Rules at all times.
5. Have fun!

Forrester spoke in hushed tones with Arianna before addressing the assembled students in front of him. "We'll start looking at the lake and move from there. No one is to leave Arianna, Nurse Nummel, or my viewing. We do not want to lose more students on a search. When I, or Nurse Nummel, feel we have covered a section of ground to the best of our ability, we'll have everyone move on. Wait for Nurse Nummel and I to say when we're going."

Forrester made eye contact with each student to be sure they understood his instructions fully. Nodding to the students and to Arianna, he told everyone, "Move on out. Lake first."

Amelia was glad that at least one thing in her life was going right this term. With Tancred's transferring right before the term, everything had seemed to be against her. She nodded in understanding with the cheesecake and Agie incident. "Ooh, an idea? Count me in for that one," she told him with that famous mischievous glint in her green eyes.

She sighed as he tightened her jacket for her. He really didn't have to do that, but she supposed it was payback for wiping the cheesecake off his face. "Of course. I'm always careful on the broom," she said, adding a confident smile. Her face instinctively flushed with the next comment and she was about to thank him when Forrester called for all the walkers. "Thank you Josh, that means a lot. And it looks like you're going now too," she said, leaning in to give him a quick hug. "Be careful out there."

And with those last words, the sixth year hufflepuff released Josh and headed out of the shed toward Fabian, Max, and the rest of the fliers.

Josh chuckled as she said she was in for torturing his sister. " Sounds like fun." he told her already excited. He looked at her for a moment as he had never seen her look like that.werent prefects suppose to stay out of trouble...because they were the ones finding the trouble and stopping it?

Yeah i guess i am." he told mia as she pointed out that it was his time to go and past her time to leave. he moved to hug her as he smiled at her."Of course. im always careful when i walk." he teased as he pulled away and gave her a solid nod. he bit his lip as he watched her go for a moment. crazy hufflepuff. he then moved out of the shed and towards the lake, catching up with the others.

Rhiannon realized everyone else had headed out, so huried after Josh toward the lake. She didn't want to be left behind. It wasn't a fun feeling, even though in this case, it would have been slightly different than it was when she was four.

Lyra wrinkled her nose to the sight of the nasty broomshed...the one that seemed to cause a lot of trouble between her and Josh but then...everything was fine, well more than fine at this point. "Well, actually you are the one showing off the wonderful flying skills, I'm showing that I can hang on for dear life." She looked around for a sight of anything..."Nothing! I see nothing." She turned her nose up in the air as she was more than ready to leave this stupid place. "Let's just go to the next sight...which would be...castle?" She really didn't know where to look at this point but starting inside might be as good as any since the grounds didn't seem to produce anything at the moment.

Lyra raised a brow towards Agie. "Do it. Call her broom. I think I'm ready...actually more than ready to not piggyback anymore," she smirked thinking of the damage that the two of them could now do. "Extinct? I don't know unless they have already used the potion but the eagle didn't have time for that. She is around here somewhere. But if we don't find anything else, let's do go back to and let 'em know."

Agie turned back at Lyra. Was she serious? She actually wanted to fly on her own. This was awesome. Agie was smiling from ear to ear as she landed. She got out her wand and called. "Accio Kerry's Firebolt." Turning back to Lyra she grinned more. "I hope so, we can really have some fun now." Agie giggled. "Maybe. We really need to find them, and fast....Well at least we looked right." She winked and turned around as she heard Kerry's broom coming. She held out her and and easily grabbed the broom A devilish look was in her eyes as she handed the broom to Lyra. "You're going to LOVE this." She giggled.

Well, any feeling of nervousness was going right out the window because Lyra was going to do this right. She did as Agie did, mounting her broom and kick off the ground. "So far so good," she said as she was stable in the air. "Now get me out in the open and let me try this a couple of times and then I'm ready."

Professor Clark arrived at the broomshed levitating a huge copper container filled with water balloons. Oh he was going to have fun with this, grateful he was for the kind house elf that brought him a cauldron full of potion, which he carried in his free hand.

After resting the cauldron and container on a clear table, Fabian sat on the stool whilst leaning his body on the table. A faint creaking sound caught his attention, curiously making him search the area with his head, was it a student? Or the wild winds?

He sighed when he decided it was the wind, bad day it was. With a whistled tune, Fabian began filling water balloons with the potion flinching every once and a while due to the horrible smell of it.

Marco headed to the broomshed. He wanted to sneak a little practising flying and couldn't risk using his own broom. He checked behind him as he slowly pushed open the door. He didn't see who was in the room, as he was watching behind him. The door closed behind him. To which he turned around. He jumped as he saw Fabian. What was he doing?

Marco quickly sneaked to the shadows, hoping not to be caught here.

Jezz walked into the broomshed for the lesson. She loved everything to do with quidditch. "Oh. I do hope I'm not too early." she said aloud to nobody upon seeing the lack of students.

Rhiannon walked into the broomshed, seeing the Slytherin Quidditch captain as well as Professor Clark. Positioning herself in a corner, she watches them silently, wondering what was going on. Then she notices Jezzabell.

Brianna entered the Broomshed behind Jezz. She looked around and noticed it was pretty empty. She hoped this was where the lesson was suppose to be. She hated doubting herself.

Amelia entered the broomshed with her broom in one hand and goggles in the other. Oh how she was not quite in the mood to be here now after what just happened on the pitch, but regardless, she needed to be here for Hufflepuff. Finding a spot against the wall, she leaned against it and waited for Max to arrive.

The game was over and Max had quickly changed into his Heidelberg Harrier's warm ups since they were much more comfortable than the officiating robes that he sweated in during the match.

Once inside the shed, he walked over to the table where Fabian had been busy filling water balloons with a potion. In fact, there was a huge cauldron full of the small balloons, and he opened a crate next to the rusty cauldron. Inside the crate were bags.

"Brilliant work, ol' buddy," Vindictus grinned as he took out the leather bags. "Cassandra thought I was insane for suggesting this idea but Doyle somehow convinced her that my far-fetched ideas usually work. Now we have to wait and see if the kids read my hastily penned notice about this lesson. And Ariana is already prepared for visitors down at the Hospital Wing."

Rhiannon was happy to see two of her fellow team members there. It made her feel better, knowing that she wasn't outnumbered by people from a different house. That happened so often in classes.

She remained silent however, waiting for the professor to address the class.

Tommy hadn't been on a broom since she left home. She had her broom tucked under her arm. There was only a few people there and she was eager to get started flying and to get into the air.

She was here, for some reason, not by choice but because she felt obligated to make up for her poor performance in the match. Poor meaning......pathetic.

Rapunzel sighed and took a spot in a deserted corner of the shed. She spotted some shifty cauldrons and shook her head.

Could this day get any worse?

"Hello Professors!" Willow greeted happily to the head of the house and to the Care of magical creatures professor, the moment she set a foot in the broomshed, a grin on her face.

Quickly standing beside Rhiannon, she waited for the whole thing to start.
