Hermy grinned. "Good! Just be glad I'm not chaser, else you might get some weird looks from your fellow house mates when you cheered." She laughed. "I wonder when I'll find out who the first match is against...it can't be long now."

Finn reiterated what she had felt, and she hugged into him whilst still squeezing his hand. "You make me feel so happy and elated inside,and brighten up my day just by walking in the room. I love spending time with you Finn, and would love to spend more of it with you." She felt warm in his arms, and wondered whether Finn would want her as his girlfriend.

He giggled. "Yes, I suppose that might be a bit difficult to explain." He was warming up, quite a bit and forgetting that he had the yellow streaks, took of his cap to wipe the sweat from his head and set it beside them.

Her hug was wonderful. "Hermy. I have never had a moment's sadness since spending time with you. I have had 2 moments of anguish, but knowing you are with me makes me happier than I could have ever imagined. I want to be around you more too."

Hermy was snuggled comfortably in Finn's arms when he said those words that meant so much to her. She turned her head back towards him. "Does that mean -" she didn't quite get to finish with 'you'd like to go out with me' since she had noticed Finn's hair. It had yellow streaks in, and Hermy thought it looked quite cool in its way. She was completely oblivious to the strange happenings around Hogwarts. She smiled, before completing her sentence.

"Does that mean you'd like to go out with me?" She hadn't asked anyone before, and was doubtful that was quite the correct way to do it, but there we go. Finn either wanted her or he didn't, though she had a feeling he did. The way she asked wouldn't really matter, she just hoped she hadn't moved too soon.

"Nice bit of house spirit there," she said, trying to cover over the first silence.

As she turned her head to him and began to speak, the streaks immediately came back to his remembrance. He hurriedly returned his hat to his head and looked down. He knew she had seen them, but he didn't know how to explain them. They had just appeared. He meant to owl his parents to find out if they knew anything, but he hadn't done it yet.

Her question stunned him. He never in his wildest dreams imagined it would come. The emotions he felt at that moment were unlike any he had felt before. A flood of emotion overwhelmed him and he began to weep silently. What a sap he was, he thought to himself. He didn't want her to see it and he turned away.

Hermy was confused by Finn's reaction, and automatically felt guilty. She seemingly moved too quickly. He had looked away from her, and a sinking feeling went through her stomach. "Finn?" she said, a hint of disappointment in her voice. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." She hung her head slightly, and rubbed her hand soothingly up and down his back.

"I like your hair though. Unusual, but cool at the same time. What do you think to blue streaks through my hair?"

Finn heard the dissappointment in her voice and quickly turned to her, enjoying the feel of her hand on his back. He took her face in his hands and grinned with the tears and said, "No! Not at all. I just didn't expect the question. I thought you were just going to ask me a question, not such an important and happy one." He pulled her close. "Please, please, please know that I am so happy to hear you ask."

He giggled. "Blue streaks? Why would you do that?" he asked smiling. And then it hit him. HIs yellow ones. "Oh. yeah, umm...I think it would be pretty."

Hermy looked at Finn as his took her face in his hands, and was glad to see he was smiling despite the tears. She was still slightly confused however. She felt him pull her close, and some of the doubt and confusement subsided. "You are?" She wondered exactly what was running through his mind - her own thoughts reckoning that she asked too soon.

Hermy raised her eyes to look at Finn's hair again. "I've been thinking about it for a few days to be honest. Show a bit of team spirit and all that - but it looks like you beat me there!" She smiled, and stroked Finn's hair.

Finn looked at Hermy and nodded. "Quite glad. I was so sure that you would take a terribly long time to get over the hurt and pain of Marco that it would be too difficult for you to want to be with someone. WIth me." he told her.

"well, it doesn't show my spirit. It kind of appeared on it's own, and I don't know why." He looked at the ground.

"Well, it has been a month and a half now," Hermy said, smiling. "And I think I sort of knew that day you were outside the common room waiting for me. Things felt brighter immediately when you were there. Only a really special person could do that." She looked at him. "Since then, I've often thought about you, seen you in my mind, missed you. To me, it feels right when we're together. I even felt it in Diagon Alley, I just didn't understand it back then." She ran her fingers softly through his hair. "So, is that a yes?" Hermy asked quietly, hoping she wasn't pressurising him.

"It appeared on its own?" Hermy frowned slightly in concern. "You sure its not a practical joke or anything?" she asked, as she gently lifted his head in her hands. "I mean, it doesn't look bad - as I said, I quite like it." She smiled encouragingly. She wanted to feel really happy, but couldn't with Finn looking worried like that.

Liz walks in looks around to see if Sahrina is here yet, and walks over to the table she had put her flower. Oh wow! It has a light tan blossom with blue streaks through it. The other 2 buds haven't opened much more yet, but one looks a little bluish! She picks it up and brings it to the work table. She gives it a little water, and begins humming as she gets to work.

She looks around again, and starts gathering supplies to help Sahrina. Hmmm, what fertilizer did I use again... She walks over and takes one of the plants that still needs to be repotted. She'll also need a pot, potting soil, rocks, little pebbles, and fertilizer, hmmmm what was it again...

He listened to her, still quite unable to develop an intelligible thought. He smiled and thought to himself. "This girl is amazing."

"Well, I've always felt that way." He said to her. His brain seemed to have reconnected and he was ready to give her a proper answer. "Yes. I suppose it would be a yes." He said with a smile.

He nodded and his brows furrowed. He looked down and to his surprise....his robe was littered with small grey and black feathers. He wondered where they had come from. So many odd things happening lately.

"You have?" Hermy said, a warm tingling spreading through her. And then, when he said yes, Hermy was torn between jumping up and cheering, and squeezing Finn tight. She opted for the latter and in her excitement exclaimed "Yay!" as she hugged Finn tightly. "That means so much to me Finn." She smiled, and her blue eyes shone and twinkled in the light. Hermy felt so elated, and her body felt full of energy and excitement.

As she nestled into Finn, Hermy felt something tickling her face. She brushed it out of the way gently, and noticed it was a feather. A few more were scattered across Finn's robes, and she gently swept them away. "You run into a bird lately?" Hermy asked, confused. She could have sworn they weren't there earlier.

Finn felt himself suddenly wrapped in a big hug and he smiled, wrapping his arms around Hermy and sighing contentedly. He wasn't sure what he expected this moment to feel like, but it felt very good. He whispered in her ear, "Hermy, you are fantastic. I care a great deal about you."

When she asked about a bird, he looked down and frowned.

Hermy blushed as Finn told her that she was fantastic. She didn't know how to reply, his words had sent such a nice feeling through her. "So are you Finn, moreso in fact." She smiled, before saying quietly. "Thank-you for waiting for me."

She saw his frown, and Hermy sat up hoping she hadn't offended him. She brushed off a few more feathers and looked around for a source of where they could be coming from - it wasn't windy and there were no birds in sight. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Finn smiled like he had discovered a great, glittering treasure. Her wordsmade his hair tingle, it was so exciting. And then he told her. "I had no choice, if I were to be with you. Waiting for you was no more difficult than breathing."

He shook his head no. "Umm. Well, I don't know what's going on. As I've been going about my business, first it's the yellow streaks and now wherever I go, feathers everywhere. It's a bit odd and I'm not sure what to do about it. I just know I don't want to tell anyone in charge. I'm afraid they would send me home."

Hermy glowed. He had waited because he wanted to be with her? She wished her heart had shown her the right direction previously. Marco breaking up with her had in many ways given Hermy a better second chance. She knew Finn would never walk out on her if he had waited so patiently, watch whilst she had been in the arms of someone else. She hugged him, wanting to hold him to subconsiously apologise for the hurt he must have felt.

She looked at him comfortingly, wanting him to know that she would help in any way she could. "It certainly sounds very peculiar." Hermy's mind was racing through the possibilities. "Have you eaten any Weasley products recently?" she asked, wondering if her prank theory could be correct. "Or made any enemies that might fancy transfiguring you?"

Her clutch was comforting. This moment was even better than he could have imagined all those days watching her and Marco together. He was comfortable, happy and content.

He shrugged. "I don't think so. Hermy. Do you think it's bad?" He was frightened and was hopeful she could help him.

Hermy wrinkled her forehead in thought. "Well, that knocks out the two simplest possibilities," she said, frowning. She was trying not to show any concern in her voice, even though her ideas were not really helping her come up with any logical solutions to Finn's problem.

"How about polyjuice potion? Have you brewed or drunk any recently?" She knew it was unlikely, but if a feather had slipped in by accident it could show those symptoms - afterall it was only meant for human transformations.

He was grateful for the help she was offering. It made him feel hopeful that they could come up with something.

As she explored and asked though, he shook his head no. "I don't believe so."

As he spoke though, his red hair, without him realizing it turned black, though it kept the yellow streaks. All he noticed was that it was getting very warm. He wondered if he was coming down with a fever.

Hermy nodded. It seemed the majority of the logical explanations could be ruled out, and she began to worry slightly. She would do whatever she could to help him through this. Even if she had to brew some kind of potion from scratch.

Hermy looked up to Finn's hair as she seen something from the corner of her eye. "Erm," she said, wondering how to explain what she saw without causing Finn to panic. "We have developments."

He was comforted by her presence. He moved his head slightly to face her and kiss her gently on the cheek. He whispered into her ear, "love you"

His eyes got wide as he listened to her and looked at the way her eyes had traveled. "Something else?" He put his face into his hands and groaned.

Hermy's insides melted. She felt so special, and those words made her feel so light as if she could face anything with Finn by her side. And the first thing to tackle was Finn's changes. "I love you too," she whispered softly. She looked around with the snow and it was just the perfect setting. She took a mental photo, planning to paint a sensory picture to revive those memories at a later date.

"Uh-huh." Hermy nodded, and fumbled around in her bag for a mirror. It was only very small, but she figured it would give Finn the right sort of idea. This certainly was strange, ad Hermy had a feeling that maybe consulting a member of staff might be a wise idea.

Her words were wonderful. It was certainly going to help him as he dealt with what was going on.

He took the offered mirror and frowned more. His formerly red hair was now black. And....it still had the yellow streaks in it. It was not good, but he still wanted to keep this secret. He looked up at her, and hated to ask, but he wanted to keep it quiet.

"Will you please not tell anyone? Give me a few days and maybe it will go away." He looked at her with pleading in his eyes.

Hermy stroked Finn's hair. It might now be a different colour, but that didn't change anything. If anything, she needed to show him more that ever there she was there for him.

She nodded at Finn's request. As much she thought finding help would be good, she could see the pleading in Finn's eyes, and nothing would make her go against that request. "Okay...but only a few days. After that, especially if it gets any worse, we go get some advice, yes?"

Hermy's eyes showed care and love, plus possibly a hint of worry. She wanted to be by his side as much as possible, in case something happened and then she could do something right away. "In the meantime, I'll try and find a plausible explanation or solution."

Her stroking his hair was a great comfort. He needed it right now as he tried to cope with the changes in his mind. What could possibly be making these things happen?

He gave a half grin and said "thank you." to Hermy. He hated to keep her from going against her better instincts, but he just wanted to work this out with her. "Ok. After a couple days if it doesn't get better, we'll get help."

He hugged her and tried to communicate how much he cared about her through the hugs.
