Aura thought she saw a boy smile at her, and so she smiled back. He looked quite a bit older than her and performed quite an astonishing spell to dry himself off. She couldn't help but be impressed, and looked forward to the time when she could learn such spells. Her cat purred happily in her lap as she sat in the comfortable armchair, glad to be able to at last just relax.

Sam caught the smile that the girl gave him back. Deciding that it was rude to just leave it like that he quite playing for a second and decided to go over and talk to her. Getting up he walked over to where she was still holding on to his guitar. "hey im Sam Hopkins." he said and held out a hand. "and you are?"

Aura watched the boy approach her.
"Hello," she said, shaking his hand. "I'm Aura Danvers, new First Year. What year are you in?"

"Im a 6th year. Nice to meet you."

Heather walked in wiping ink of her face.She sat in front of the the fire and waved her wand siently thinking'Accio guitar' and watched the case come to her.She pulled it out and the sheet music she was learning.She tuned the guitar then practiced the beging.It was the best it had been all year.Moving on to the next part she felt calm and at peace.

Sam heard the girl come in but gave no attention until he heard her song. As soon as she started playing he looked down at the guitar that was in his hands. He knew the perfect harmony. He didnt know how but he felt like he knew the song. Sliding the band around his neck he began to play. The harmony was amazing. A smile spread across his face as he played.

Entering fast the common room, he knew that he had forgot something. During the summer, he had done some pamphlet in order to promote the team while he was the sign up time. Spotting couples of place where he could put it and where he was sure that students would be able to read it. He walks toward those place and put this...


Happy with all the spot that he had chose, he walks away fast.

Kerry walked into the common room to see Ryan walking away very quickly for some reason.

"Everything ok Ryan?" she asked as she sat down near the fire.

Seeing some old friends, Kerry was so glad to be back. "Hey guys! How are you? How was your holiday? It went by sooooo quickly didn't it?" she asked lounging back in the chair.

Looking around at all the new faces around her, too. Kerry blushed, "Oh how rude of me. Hi guys!" Kerry said to the new Gryffindors in the common room. "I'm Kerry, it's nice to meet you guys. Welcome to Gryffindor. I hope you guys are making yourselves at home here. It's quite cozy isn't it? So...how are you guys enjoying Hogwarts? Is it everything you hoped and thought it would be?" Kerry asked trying to get to know the new students.

Tabitha was sitting in an oversized red chair by the fireplace, reading through some of the textbooks she had purchased in Diagon Alley. She pulled out of her pocket a package of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans and began to look through the assortment of goodies to find a suitable flavor. She had gotten pretty good at picking out which ones tasted like vomit or boogers, and decided on a bright red sweet with brown spots. "Yum, candy apple!" Tabitha thought to herself.

After flipping through a few pages in Hogwarts; A History, she heard one of the older students addressing the first years. Feeling quite bold and anxious to make new friends, Tabitha responded. "Its lovley in here by the fire."
The older girl had introduced herself as Kerry. "I'm Tabitha. Tabitha Talbot. Would you like one?" she asked and handed the box of sweets to Kerry.

"The fire is definitely one of my favorite places to sit. If you're ever looking for me, it's a sure fire place to find me. No pun intended of course." Kerry laughed. "Well, it's very nice to meet you Tabitha." Kerry smiled. "Did you candy apple???" Kerry asked excitedly as Tabitha handed the box over to her. "That's one of my favorite flavors, too! I'd love one, thanks!" she said taking a piece out of the box.

"So how are you enjoying things so far?" Kerry asked taking a bite out of the
candy and making a sour face. "Ewww, tripe." Kerry shuddered. "Now that's one flavor I could have done without tasting," she laughed some more.

Sapphire climbed into the common room. walked to the chair next to angels and fell in it. "The room is exactly like i expected it to be" she said scanning the room and smiling. "I don't know about you, but I'm happy to finally make it to the common room" she said with a sigh.

"yeah so did I" Angel said with a smile.
"I thought we would never make it up here, with all that food from the feast. I almost fell asleep in my seat." at this Angel grinned at Sapphire.

Bess had aalmost fallen asleep!! She got up when her cat pounced on her suddenly. Perhaps she was reminding her to go up the dorm... Clever Marple!
Very soon, Bess had diappeared into the girls' dorm.

As Zelot stepped through the portrait hole, she relized that her father was correct. The common room was warm and inviting. Although she had never been in this room in her life, she felt as though it was the most familiar room she had ever been in.

Having never riden the train due to living in Hogsmead, Zelot had not yet met any of the students. she had seen them over the years that they had been living in Hogsmead but never met any personaly. As she gazed around she made her way to a chair and sat down. There were other students in the room but she was a bit afraid to talk to any of them. Most were already in conversation or were heading straight to there dorms.

Zelot almost thought about following suit when her fluffy black and orange cat hopped happily on her lap. "Hello Mercury" she said softly as she reached down and patted his side gently. Mercury purred softly as he settled down with his black fluffy taily waiving in the air.

Aura walked down the stairs from the Girls Dorm into the Common Room. She saw her armchair by the fire where she had sat last night and resumed that position, thinking about where to go. She hadn't explored any of the Grounds yet and thought it might be a good idea to take a look around. She picked up her kitten which was meowing at her feet and placed it on her lap.

Zelot sat bolt right up. She had fallen a sleep over night in the chair. She didn't realize that Mercury had jumped down either. She looked around the room and noticed that others were already waking and coming down. She smiled at another first year she had seen at the sorting ceramony.

Zelot noticed that she had a cat as well. "Wow i got something in common with her." Zelot thought to her self.

Glancing around the Common Room, Aura spotted a girl who smiled at her, and smiled back. She was sure she was another First Year from the Feast in the Great Hall.
"Hello," she said to the girl, "I'm Aura Danvers. What's your name?"

Zelot smiled. "Hi Aura. I'm Zelot." She replied. "I see you have a kitten. I have a orange and black cat running around here somewhere as well." She added. "What's your kitten's name?" She asked. "I named my cat Mercury"

"Nice to meet you, Zelot," Aura grinned, "my kitten's called Bastet." She stroked her tiny Siamese kitten.
"That's a cute name," she said.
"I'm guessing you're a First Year too?"

Zelot smiled."Thanks!" she replied. "What an intresting name for a kitten. Siames?" She asked. She blushed with the next answer "Yes, I am." She smiled again. "Where are you from?" She then asked.

Aura smiled, "I named her after an Ancient Egyptian Goddess - she was a cat. I learned about that at a Muggle Primary School I used to go to." She blushed a little, but managed to compose herself.
"I'm from Epsom in England, what about you?"

Zelot smiled. "That's cool" She replied. I'm originaly from America. But my dad was from here before he met my mom." She answered. "we moved back here when my granmother got ill." Zelot added as she looked down to her shoes.

"Oh," Aura said, at a loss for what to say. After the death of her grandmother, she knew it was a sensitive subject. "Sorry to hear that your grandmother took ill. How is she now?"

Zelot gave a half smile. "Well," she began. "She wasn't here much longer after we came." she finished. Zelot didn't mind telling her this. It was good to talk about things like this because it gave her a sense of reality.

Zelot decided that she would change the subject, she could tell that it was an uncompherable subject to talk about. "So what classes are you looking forward to?" she asked.

Aura felt a strange lump in her throat. "I'm so sorry to hear that. It's weird because, well," she hesitated for a moment, "my grandmother, well she wasn't actually family but I've known her all my life, she died just a week ago." It was nice having someone to relate to - someone who knows exactly how it feels.
"I'm really looking forward to Defense Against The Dark Arts, Potions and Transfiguration!" she said, cheering up dramatically now they were on the subject of Classes. "What about you?"
