Ambrose made an undiscernable grimace as she mentioned changing hormones or something icky like that. Why did girls always have to tackle sensitive subjects in front of guys? He stifled a shiver. "Wha-the book? Nothing," he said, plopping the book on the table in front of them, with one swish of his wand.

"Umm, no. Why?" He looked bewildered. But as soon as she started explaining how she ended up in the hospital wing, and mention came of her boyfriend, his whole posture relaxed. "Who's Ariana? And I thought you had something going on with the Black boy? Ryan?" he arched an eyebrow as he spoke.




As he turned his head inadvertently, checking to see if the librarian was anywhere in sight, and knowing he would be punished if she saw him treat any book badly, his eyes fell on Agie. Why was everyone so studious these days? "Yo, girlie!" he called at her, not wanting to use her first name. That was too... personal, right?

Then she crisply turned on her heel and was gone in a flash of long golden hair.
