Professor Mao-Macdougal was perched on the large teak desk of the Charms classroom. Her long skirts were hitched up, revealing a hint of boot. It had a heel. Further description of it would include the word: sharp. The professor wore her boots like they were weapons of mass destruction. Should she decide to step on anyone, blood would probably spatter the floor through a hole in the foot.
Beside her were two large books: The Unexpurgated Brothers' Grimm and How Not to Blow Yourself Up On The First Day. She was drumming her fingers across the books irritably as she waited for the first student to enter the class. Black hair shadowed her face, and her eyes were quick and bright like the glitter of knives.

So she sat down at her desk, and starting to listen to the professor talk.. and then Nicole walked up to the desk and got a object from the professor desk, just like the others students.. Serinity completed the note she had just taken and put her quill down. She timidly went forward to select one of the items from the professor's desk. "I hope I don't do anything to loose points for Hufflepuff" she thought to herself. She selected a golden ball and went back to her seat.

Alicia strolled into the classroom, and sat down on a chair next to her friend Nicole Smith and started unloading her supplies, she was very very curious and excited about her first Charms Lesson. She took out her required books and nestled them on the table and then took some of her healthy parchemnt and an eagle-feather quill and ink and looked around.

Francesca had been relatively quiet throughout this lesson because she thought her favorite professor had gone batty for being...involved with Nik's git of a dad. She shook her head when Gryffindors kept losing points in class. They obviously don't know how to handle a class with AMMZ. You don't question her. She got up and took one of the pieces of china then went back to where she was sitting. For once she wasn't sitting next to Nik. No particular reason for that of course. She stayed very quiet while waiting on AMMZ's instructions.

James pushed open the door and walked into the Charms classroom. He lingered by the door for a moment before silently choosing a seat in the back. His eyes wandered around and he noticed that Stacey had gotten up and took an ornament from the professor's desk. So did the others. He slid out of his chair and shuffled up to her desk and carefuly picked up one of her ornaments. He turned around and walked back to his desk.

Alicia decided aswell as the rest of the students, take an ornament of the Professors desk, she stood up, pushed he chair in silentl and made her way up to the professors desk, she carefully took an ornament and then strolled to her chair and sat down and placed her ornament in the middle of her desk, waiting for further instructions.

Kalaya got up and walked to the professor's desk. She hesitated before taking an item, unsure as if which she chose would make a difference. Glancing back at Jordana she saw that she had taken the golden ball; she quickly grabbed one as well and briskly walked through the crowd of students that were reaching for items. Taking her seat next to Jor she smiled at her as she carefully set down her object. She kept a hand on it to make sure it didn't roll, and looked up at the professor, waiting for instructions.

Celestina Warbuck wasn't one to talk in class. She wasn't even one to ask many questions either considering how odd most of the Professor's were. Especially Professor AMMZ who had quite a temper. Her latest explosion in the halls had confirmed that for the young girl.
She had twitched when Tia cost Gryffindor points and broke the tip of her quill just when she was about to add a dot to her last sentence. Holding in the urge to throw the quill at the girl she merely glared at her hoping that somehow, magically, a hole would appear in the middle of her big empty head.

Touy walk up to the front of the class and picked up a golden ball. I wonder what we will do with these she thought. It was hard to believe all these students would be rude enough to talk in class. Maybe they were American tranfer student who didn't know any better. Touy knew the professor was law and if you didn't want to loose house points you follow the rule and never talked in class with out being asked, especially this class.

Cassandra, who had sat down by her friend Kally, got up and went to the front of the class to pick up her item. She walked slowly back to her seat examining the object in her hands. She was going to be able to charm the item, this excited her immensely. She had read the story of the Frog Prince in the text, but she had been too late to speak up. As she sat back down looking at the item she picked out, she couldn't help but hope she could practice on actual people.
She sat looking at the professor's boots. The professor's demeanor and attitude had made her smile. She was sure that the charms professor had been a Slytherin and that made her proud. She sighed and waited for further instruction.

Lee moved to the front of the class to pick up an item, slowly trying to keep out of the gaze of the Professor. He didn't want to be socialising with her sooner than was necessary.
After retreiving his item he moved to his seat at the back of the class and placed his item on his desk. He had been practising a lot of non verbal magic lately and had succeded quite well, but wandless magic was another story altogether.
