Professor Fox's Office At the end of the long stale hallway housing Arithmancy, a single door stands in the corner, past the entrance to the classroom. The old wooden door looks well worn. Nicks, scratches, and small marks of all kind dot this unassuming oak door. Written magically into the very wood of the door, in the unmistakably neat cursive script of the new teacher is simply: Arithmancy Instructor To those uninvited, the door seems to strangely not budge, even upon the casting of simple magicks. Upon knocking and being invited in by the familiarly unassuming voice of Professor Fox however, the door swings gently open. Seated at his desk, Professor Fox finishes a few quick notes on some piece of parchment, then calmly sets his quill neatly into an ink stop. Looking up, he motions with his hand to the chairs before his desk. The room is above all neat and organized. Every book, every piece of parchment, every magical instrument seems to be well put away in its intended place. The room smells like a library, and with the floor-to-ceiling bookcases brimming with texts, it's no wonder to see why. Behind Professor Fox however, and between two large bookcases, is a large chalkboard with various esoteric things written on its surface. Professor Fox himself seems at once inviting while at the same time standoffish. He is a man in his late forties, and he looks like a man who has enjoyed his life, but nonetheless worked hard at it. A few wrinkles appear on his face, and his dark brown hair is gently beginning to gray at the sides. His clothes are well pressed, though functional rather than fashionable. He wears a tweed set of robes, with his wizard's hat situated on a shelf behind him. |
Julia approaches Professor Fox's classroom door quietly. She brushes off her robes and clears her throat. She knocks on the door and grins to herself as she waits patiently for someone to answer. |
Professor Fox looked up at the knock on his door. He was just putting books away when he heard the knock. He gave the door a surprised look and said a little cautiously, "Yes. Come in," thinking it odd that someone would be seeing him before classes had even begun. Perhaps it was the headmistress or one of his fellow faculty. The door seemed to lighten significantly, as if a giant stone anchor were removed from it. It then opened slowly, revealing his office to the student. |
Julia watches as the door opens, then steps inside like the voice instructs. Her eyes wander the room for a moment, then fall on Professor Fox. She grins broadly at him. "Hello Professor Fox! I'm Julia Agoobwah, a 3rd year Ravenclaw student. It's very nice to meet you." She resumes giving him a friendly smile and keeping direct eye contact with him. |
Professor Fox turned to look at the student. He stopped putting away the books, and stood holding a book in his hands for a moment. He set it on his desk and sat down, motioning to a nearby chair for the student. "Hello Ms. Agoobwah. What can I help you with today?" He inquired, looking at her calmly. |
Tina walks in right after Julia smiling. "Hello Professor, I'm Tina Murray 2nd Year. We wanted to start a fan club for your awesomeness," she said sarcastically. "Only kidding, but me and Julia would like to get to know our new teacher," she mentioned. "After all you do teach one of the hardest subjects here," she included. "So, what seperates you from the rest of our lovely and lovable proffesors here at Hogwarts," she said reporter-like after winking at her new teacher. ~~Tina |

"I'm afraid Ms. Murray, that Ms. Agoobwah not only had a prior appointment, but knocked appropriately." He continued calmly, yet clearly dissatisfied with her behavior, "Now, if you will kindly wait outside and close the door behind you, perhaps when you remember to knock and observe fit propriety, I will invite you in. You may well read the bulletin board outside to come to a better understanding of how to behave in my corridor." Having said that, he simply waited for her to step outside and close the door behind her before giving his attention back to Julia. |

Yes, one down 4 more to go, she thought as she grinned. Now, where's the lovable DADA teacher... ~~Tina |
shelby knocks on the door and waits for an answer."Hello"she called softly. |
Julia watches Tina come in and go out. She turns back to Professor Fox. "There's nothing you can do for me. I just thought it'd be nice to meet you since I've never met you before," she answers him with a tone of happiness in her voice. "I should be going, I guess. You're probably very busy." Julia smiles at him. "I'll see you in class, Professor!" And with that, she exits Professor Fox's office, her mind racing. |
*knocks on the door*"Professer if I could have a word please?" |
Professor Fox nodded politely to Julia, happy to see that at least one student had a decent sense of manners. Having heard a knock on his door earlier, he nodded busily after Julia left. "Yes. Come in," he said, waving the student standing outside into his office. "I'll be with you in a moment," he said, craning his neck to see the other student. |
*Wlaks in *"Hi professer,I'm Elyshia Stevenson.I'll be taking Arithmancy this year and was just wondering when the first class was?" O>O>C>I just have to know so I can make plans to be online. |
Professor Fox nodded, then turned his attention back to his books. "I appreciate your interest Ms. Stevenson. I will post all my classroom schedules ahead of time on the bulletin board outside." He continued writing for a moment then stopped, and looked up to the girl. "Was there anything else you needed Ms. Stevenson?" |
"No that's about it unless you have something else I need to know for your classes professer?" |
"No, you will be fine," he said absently, going back to his books and writing. |
"Thank you for your time professer." |
Drusilla was going to introduce herself to their new Arithmancy Professor, since Arithmancy was one of her favourite subjects. Now, at the shut door, she feels a bit unsure. It looks kind of strict to her. She canīt explain, how a door could seem strict, but thatīs the way it was. She somehow felt they might have a new McAiken here, and decided to be very cautious. Politely she knocked on the door. |
Professor Fox looked up at the knock. He was rather surprised, he had no idea why students would be coming to him this much before classes had even begun. "Yes. I hear you," he said in response to Drusilla's knock, "There was another student before you though, please wait until I've spoken with them." He madea few quick notes to himself then stood up. "Yes. Come in," he said directed to the student that had been waiting patiently. Having said that, the door opened slowly, revealing his office to her. |
Lauren walked into Professor Fox's, hoping he would be a GREAT teacher because she had such a love for number's, considering her Father was a math professer back in Oklahoma. She knocked and sat down adn waited for an answer. |
Professor Fox looked up. Shelby having never come in when invited, he simply sighed. "Yes, whomever is next, come in," he said, as his door magically opened. He looked up busily from his notes at the student, he set his glasses on the desk in front of him. "Yes, what can I help you with?" He inquired to the young student. |
Lauren heard the professor call in the next student so she quietly went in and sat down. "Hello Professor Fox, I;m Lauren Stoops, and I;m a first year Ravenclaw andI was wondering when the 1st lesson is starting?'' |
Professor Fox sighed heavily. "I will be posting notices before all classes start Ms. Stoops," he said to the girl as he went back to his writing. |
''Ok thank you.'' Lauren said quietly walking quickly our of the room. |
