Welcome to a fantabulous Member of the Month reboot! That’s right, with us today is TakemetotheBurrow, who has been awarded Member of the Month before, way back in 2012! She’s so nice we’ve picked her twice! Say hello to everyone and tell us a bit about yourself if you please!
Hi, hello, wonderful to be here! I’m Ashley and no, I never got my chance to marry Rupert Grint, my love.

*wipes tears* a tragedy! Just in case he sees this and realises he absolutely has to look you up, where do you hail from in the real world?
I come from a small town just outside of Boston so I get the best of both worlds, which is really nice.

That balance is always good! How do you keep yourself busy out that way? What are some of your hobbies?
I spend a lot of time by the ocean. I go camping during the summers, which is a nice change of pace. I also really like to go to concerts when I can manage it.

Rupert is seriously missing out. But at least WE get some Ashleysaurus in our lives! How did you find SnitchSeeker? What made you join? Tell us a wee bit about your SS journey.
Happy to spread some dinosaur magic around whenever I can! Oh gosh, I honestly think I found the site through Twitter? *taps chin* I’ve always loved HP and when I heard about SS, I loved the idea of being able to create my own characters to throw into that world.

Through Twitter! That’s so neat. It's always interesting hearing how people came across us! What about HP is it that still resonates with you as an adult?
It definitely is, yeah. Makes for a wonderfully diverse SS community, which I love. *draws a big heart in the air* I think the friendships in HP are so well done. I’ve known my best friends since I was twelve, so there’s something so real about making lasting friendships at that age. Growing up together and going through hard times together and sort of navigating that. It hits home.

That’s a beautiful thought! If you were going to recommend the Harry Potter books to someone who hasn’t read them, how would you sell them on it?
Thank you, thank you! Magic, teen angst, adventure. What’s not to like? I’d also point out that it’s a series you can reread over and over again and no matter how many times you come back to them, they still give you the feels.

Everyone needs to have the feels sometimes! So being a Grint fan, does that also translate to Ron Weasley being your fave? Is this a ginger thing?
Too true! RON! *swoons* Such a Ron fan, yes. That problematic boy. It’s not so much a ginger thing as it is an underdog thing. Like, Ron could be a JERK, but he was a lovable one somehow and I found myself wanting to SQUISH him a lot of the time, even when he was being a dummy. Weasley is our king indeed.

Ron definitely has a big heart - just like YOU do so I can see why you’d find him swoonworthy, even if you’re a strong independent woman who needs no man! Not even attractive ginger Gryffindors! Do you mentally sort people into their Hogwarts houses when you meet them?
Girl power! *launches into a Spice Girls ballad* ...I actually don’t do it straight away. I like to marinate on their personalities a while before I go ahead and sort them. My sister is definitely a Slytherin, and I’ve only decided that in the last couple of years. My mom is a Hufflepuff for sure. Dad is a Slytherin, too.

Mmmmm marinade! And you're a Puff at heart yourself, right? A 50/50 split there? Do you think it makes sense for Hogwarts kiddos to be sorted when they’re only eleven then?
I’m such a Hufflepuff, yes. *waves flag proudly* So it seems it did work out that way funnily enough. *hmms* Traits you admire in people change as you get older, and you change as you grow. I think that maybe it is a little young to be sorted, yeah.

Other than Harry Potter, what are some of your other go-to fandoms that you either can’t get enough of or find yourself going back to for the sheer comfort?
I’m a huge Walking Dead fan, so that’s a thing. I live for the characters in that universe. I love seeing how they’re shaped by their environment. There’s a lot of character development and I always find myself wanting to write after watching that show.

You’ve got to take inspiration where it hits for sure! What’s on your to-read and to-watch list right now?
My mom recently got me “A Spark of Light,” so that’s next on my reading list. As for shows, I’m really into Prodigal Son. It’s got that creepy element that I love.

I’ve been meaning to get into that show so I’ll take that as a recommendation! Can you tell us about some of your other favourites: music, food, places, books, movies and anything else you think SSers might like to know?
Let’s see..I’m a lover of tacos and I’m forever eating apples dipped in peanut butter. Music-wise, I like anything from The Beatles to Queen to Mumford and Sons. My favorite movies have to be Pretty in Pink, the Breakfast Club, First Wives Club...the list goes on. There are so many places I want to go, so I definitely have a lot of places to check off that bucket list. As for places I’ve been, Ireland was beautiful. In the US, I fell in love with Arizona when I went.

Ok phew! You can take a breath! The last Member of the Month, lazykitty, has a question for you. If you had a million dollars, would you donate it charity, share it with friends & family or spend it on yourself and what would you spend it on?
*breathes* *phew* I’d probably do a little of everything, honestly. The money I kept for myself would definitely be put towards paying off some student loans. School is expensive, friends.

That is some TEA right there. And what would you like to ask the next MotM?
Sip sip hooray! My question is: If you could write a novel about one of your SS characters, past or present, which would you choose and why?
