Anny nodded apologetically. "Yes Ma'am, Sorry."
Annie looked at the creepy dummy warily. Although Frida had told her it was vertually harmless, she still felt uncomfortable around it.
She looked down at her feet. "I have had some experience, but again, not much. I am new to most of this."She looked from the dummy to Frida. "What would you like me to do?" |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Roland Mow Baims Fifth Year | Richard pulled his wand out of the inside pocket of his jacket pocket and held it by his side ready. "Yeah, let's get cracking if that's ok with everyone" said Richard with a small smile as he looked at the pair of them.
He then looked at the dummy and noticed that it was a little bit unsettling with only two digits coupled with its black eyes.
"Miss Bok, do we have the authority to alter foreign wizard and witches' memories if the occasion arises?" Richard asked as a last afterthought.

Frida said and stopped the dummy from turning around in the same spot. 'Blasted things...' She thought to herself, 'Can't seem to get the intelligence right.' Frida smacked the dummy in-between the eyes for good measure. It wasn't human, and had no emotion, so it couldn't cry or complain. "That's alright." Frida said once she brought her attention to Annie again, "We'll just have to get you experienced." The woman kneeled down and called Webster over with a careful slap on her leg. With a slow trot, Webster came over to his temporary owner. Frida ruffed up the dog's fur and looked up at Annie. "I'm afraid that Webster isn't very respectful of table legs." She said quietly and played with the dog's ears, "He needs to learn how to behave while in a home or office. So that's what I think I'll have you do...it's a lot easier than training, and it will only take a moment. That is if you feel comfortable altering his memory. Don't be too nervous. If anything goes wrong I'll be here to patch things up."
Frida moved Webster's head so that he was looking towards Annie. His big brown eyes blinked. "And if you'd like me to show you how, then I will." Quote:

We could contact their ministry and see what laws abide to them. However. Keep in mind that they are in our playground now, so if drastic measures need to be taken, then we will have to go by our own policies." She stroked Webster's head as the dog wagged his tail. "You're ready to begin? Fine." Frida's grey eyes only had to look at the dummy and in an instant the armed hand raised up and sent a disarming spell flying in Richard's direction.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Roland Mow Baims Fifth Year | Richard glanced at Frida as soon as she said they'd begin and quickly back to the dummy. He saw the disarming spell coming at him and he sent his arm horizontally right and then diagonally upwards to the left for a protego spell that wouldn't hit the dummy or later on, quidditch fan.
Richard was tempted to let the spell hit the dummy in the chest but due to most people not being made of wood like the dummy it hit the overhanging lamp which shattered and extinguished.
"Err, woopsa-daisy" said Richard as he twirled his wand at the overhanging lamp which reattached itself to the ceiling and after another twirl ignited.
"Well I'm pretty sure quidditch fans aren't going to be made of wood" explained Richard glancing from the lamp to Frida before adding with his eyes averted from hers and in a undertone" ....especially as we can't have any magical creatures there".

Frida blinked as the lamp above her head shattered. After being left in the dim light for a few seconds, she looked to Richard. "Right." Was all the woman said at first before stroking Webster a little bit more. At least the man had sense enough to clear up his own damage. "I hope they won't be made of wood. If that's the case then they might start removing their arms and begin beating us with them." Frida stood up from the floor and brushed her knees off. "What was that?" She asked when another sound caught her ears. Frida looked over to the dummy again, which was still standing in place. Another second passed and it sent out a stunning spell, which, strangely enough, had a twirling pattern to it's path.

Although she looked very young, she had more experience in some thing then others.
Annie's face distorted slightly in horror, when she heard the words, memory and alter and Webster.
She forced down the lump that grew in her throat. "Yes. Please show me. I could never forgive myself if i caused something to happen." And then she relaxed. Worrying never helps anything she thought.

She forced down the lump that grew in her throat. "Yes. Please show me. I could never forgive myself if i caused something to happen." And then she relaxed. Worrying never helps anything she thought. Frida couldn't help but give a little chuckle when she spotted Annie's face. "It's perfectly fine, not a problem at all. You'll be a pro in no time...with plenty of practice of course."
She brought Webster closer to Annie and kneeled down next to the dog. Patting the floor next to herself in a gesture for Annie to join her at the same level, Frida brought out her wand as well. "Obliviating a section of memory is the first step. Creating a new one and replacing the old one in the proper place is the second." The woman lifted her wand to meet Webster's eye-level. "It's very different from erasing one's entire mind...so proceeding with caution is of course best. You need to use a lot more control in order to sort through the right memories."
Frida gave her wand a flick and looked straight into Webster's dark brown eyes, "Obliviate." A burst of white light emitted from her wand-tip and dimmed until only a small white light was still present...much like a small car flashlight. "You need to watch carefully, especially with animals since they don't have the same brain as humans."
Frida could still see Webster's memories quite well, though they were rather blurred and not entirely in color. Trotting down an alleyway...chasing a stray cat...a large hooded figure struck out with a foot...gnawing on a rather lovely tasting wooden table-leg... "Once you've found it..." Frida began to say quietly, "That's when you need to create a vivid memory of your own to replace the first one." She moved her wand to the right, then back to the left in a typewriter fashion as she erased the memory of how the table-leg tasted. "I don't think that wood tasted very nicely..." She flicked her wand again and moved it in the same fashion as she had just a few moments ago, replacing the memory of a nice tasting table, with one that was bitter and prickly. Webster shook his head a few times and dropped the wood pieces to the floor of a rather expensive looking rug...
Frida gave her wand another flick and the light left. Webster (who had been staring with blank eyes at the wand-tip the entire time) blinked and started to wag his tail slowly to the sides. "That does it for his addiction to teak table chewing...now I think he needs to learn how to gnaw only on rawhide and bones." She looked to Annie with a small smile, "Think you can manage a try? The images might sort through rather quickly, so just be patient and don't do any editing until you are absolutely ready."
With a final pause, Frida stroked Webster's head one more time. "If you do make a mistake, I'm sure I can repair the damage. Just remember to be patient and steady."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Roland Mow Baims Fifth Year | Richard saw the whiling spell coming towards him and performed a similar action with his wand but in a counter-clockwise direction. The spell lost its colour and what was left of it washed over Richard with a mild warmth and a faint smell of chemicals.
He made a movement with his wand as if to draw an invisible square. The dummy fell back against a filing cabinet and was pinned to it. He could see its wooden hands twitching slightly. He lifted spell after a couple of seconds.
He turned to see Frida demonstrating obliviating spells on Webster.
"I think you'll find, Annie" said Richard watching the dog, "that Miss Bok is one of the best instructors you could find for this job. Not alot of people realise the difference between being able to do something and being able to teach it".
As he chuckled slightly he added "I know I couldn't teach to save my life".
He polished his hazel wand on his beige jacket. He placed it in his outside pocket and walked over to the kettle and poured himself a cup of tea, "anyone else?" he asked still holding the kettle.

With a somewhat surprised blink, Frida gave a wide grin. "That's sweet of you to say, Richard." She said and messed with Webster's fur some more, "And I'm sure you'd be able to teach it...although maybe it's my passion for education that gives me an advantage or something."
The woman shrugged and brushed off some dog fur that had made it's way onto her robes somehow. "I'll take a cup I suppose. Thanks. And if there's anything about this art that you want to know about, just ask." It really was a sort of artform; altering memories.
Her eyes flicked over to the dummy which had taken up an almost hunchback stance...since it had no bones or muscles, and since Frida was busy with another task, it's posture wasn't top priority.
The dummy stood straight up suddenly and seized hold of a large and heavy book that was on top of a nearby shelf. It threw the item as hard as it could towards Richard, the pages of the book whipping madly in the wind.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Roland Mow Baims Fifth Year | "Oky doke" replied Richard as he poured another cup. He picked it up and went to bring it over to Frida but as he turned the cup was smashed out of his hand by a book. The book also hit Richard's hand. Under his breath he said sharply "burning boggarts and bludgers!". He'd heard his hand click as it was knocked back awkwardly.
He pulled his wand out with his other hand and sent body bind curse at the dummy, "petrificus totalus" he said through slightly gritted teeth. The dummy's arms and legs were bound together as it fell sideways to lean against a wall.
Richard began jabbing his wand at his wrist gently which after two faint clicks he was able to move his wrist without any slight pain.
"Well a degree of healing spells and first aid might come in handy at the cup. I mean there will be healers but you can't be too careful" he said tapping the side of his head with his index finger.
He pointed his wand at the kettle which poured three cups of tea and, after flicking his wand back at himself, floated toward the three of them. He took a sip and felt a slight affect from it.

Nope. Broken bones were not fun in any way, shape, or form. She had no choice but to stand up and have a look, "That's what you get for letting your guard down." Not a very sympathetic answer, but true nonetheless.
Seeing how Richard seemed to have repaired his own wrist, Frida took it and bent it a couple of times back and forth just to make sure. "Seems fine though." She said as she let go, "Don't be surprised if it bruises later on tonight."
Frida flicked her wand and the dummy was released and able to stand on it's own two feet again. Those beady black eyes were staring straight ahead.
Looking to the floor where a shattered cup was laying, Frida repaired it with a wave of her wand and cleared the floor of the spilled tea. "First rule of dueling and self defense is what?" There wasn't much of a pause, "Never let your guard down. That's right."
She began to walk back over to where Annie and Webster were and took hold of one of the levitating cups that was nearby. "The healers are sure to have their hands full at the cup. Probably a lot of parties afterwards...no doubt a few people will get busted noses and black eyes."
Those crazy sports fans.

Annie was sitting down watching webster and Miss Bok in awe. Okay, So she had alwyas had a knack for reading peoples minds, it was like a gift, if you will, to make up for her lack of knowledge about maths and sciences. Well, thats what she believed anyway. But watching Frida use that spell with such ease and accuracy was mind blowing.
Annie pulled her wand from her boots, and pointed it at Webster, and stared deeply into his eyes. She took a deep breath and her lips said "Obliviate", without her consent. She gave a little panic at first but then calmed down. If I do this wrong its going to complecate everything she thought
Unlike what happened to Frida when she recited the spell, A huge flash of light erupted from her wand, and even when it died down it was still extremely dazzling. The visions of Websters memories were clear, and as she was flicking through them, it felt like she was reliving his moments.
Annie thought it must have something to do with her ability to read people quite easily, but thats too weird...

Annie thought it must have something to do with her ability to read people quite easily, but thats too weird... "Try to condense the light a little more." Frida said politely as she leveled Annie's wand a tiny bit more, "Remember, when we're out on the field, we want to be as hidden as possible. Have you located the right memory yet?"
She took a sip of her tea and listened as her stomach grumbled. 'Haven't eaten since breakfast.' Frida thought to herself and took another sip of her warm drink.
Frida took hold of the third cup that was still levitating and set it down on her desk for Annie to take when she had completed her task. "Maybe we'll have some more fun with Webster once you're done." A small and somewhat clever smirk flashed over her face. She had always been well-behaved, though when the opportunity to have a little fun presented itself to Frida, the woman couldn't resist. Webster continued to stare at the wand-tip in front of him with a blank stare and a slightly twitching left eyelid.

Annie concentrated on reducing the light and it worked. Then the right memory pased her, she flicked her wand in the opposite direction and returned to it.
It was of a previous owner of Websters. Trying to feed him dog bones, but he turned his nose up at them. Annie concentrated and altered that memory. Instead, he now remembers trying the bones and enjoying them.
She relaxed and let her wand drop, hoping that she was successful with webster. She could still feel some of the presence of his memories surrounding her.
Annie turned to Frida. "Well?" She asked. "Was that okay?" |

Annie turned to Frida. "Well?" She asked. "Was that okay?" Frida set her cup of tea on the desk nearby and kneeled down in front of Webster; flashing her wand across the dog's eyes as she leveled out with him. "Seems like you did just fine." Frida said as she skimmed through the animal's brain. The woman took a long piece of wood out of her bag and showed it to Webster. "Want it?" Frida said in a teasing voice, "It's part of the table that you broke yesterday...mmmmmm...". She placed the table leg on the ground and watched. Webster sniffed the wood a couple of times, though he quickly lost interest and wandered underneath Frida's desk where his bone was located. After a moment of circling the ground, Webster made himself comfortable on the floor and began to gnaw on his chew-toy. "Yep. Everything's all set with him. You did a nice job...see? Being nervous never gets you anywhere." Frida said as she stood up and brushed her knees off again. She hated having dirty clothes on.
Frida reached over and took her own tea-cup off of her desk, then brought another from nearby and held it out to Annie. "Richard made this for you." She said and waited for the girl to take the cup. "Tell me." Frida said after taking a drink of her tea, "Have you been out of school for very long?"
The dummy in the corner was now leaning against the wall. It's eyes were blank as it stared across the room. Since it was not currently in use, it served little purpose.

Annie took the cup and thanked Frida politely, still quietly pleased with her achievements. "NOt too long." Annie replied honestly. "I think It's about 10 months now." Annie nodded slowly. And reached out to pat Webster, for being so good.

Have you had any previous employments before joining the Ministry? Or is this the very first position you took up?"
With a flick of her wand the dummy leaning next to the wall crumpled to the ground. It wasn't a terribly heavy object, but it managed to make a loud bang when the weighty limbs hit. "I've been out of school for about seven years now myself. I did work down in the Goblin Liaison department for a while though. Nothing but counterfeit cases to do while I was there." She took another sip and continued, "How do you feel about the Ministry so far?"
Her grey eyes glanced casually over to the clock on the far wall, and Frida noted that it was nearly time to shut everything down until the next day.

I'll be seeing you again soon" "Well that's good-" She stopped once Annie got up and intended to leave the room. "Erm, it's not a problem...it is my job after all." Frida said and sipped the last of her tea. "You sure will be seeing me soon...tomorrow morning actually. And the morning after that, and so on and so forth."
Frida put the wooden table leg in her bag and zipped things shut, then proceeded to lock up the cupboards and filing cabinets. 'Must have something to do.' She thought and watched Webster creep out from underneath the desk, stretching his front legs out and yawning as he did so.

Frida nodded her head as Annie left. Raising her wand towards the dummies in the room she gave it a flick and both dummies transformed back into their original coat-rack selves. Carefully, Frida put them both away into the closet and retrieved her raincoat from one of the hangers. "Richard." She said and clasped together the first few buttons up her coat, "I think you should be heading home too, it's going to be late soon. And tomorrow I may have something important for both you and Annie."
Webster trotted over to Frida's side and nudged the woman with his nose, tail still wagging.
The woman continued to ready herself to leave and placed a few more of her books into her small bag, making sure that nothing was going to become bent. Though her bag was small, it was able to hold quite a lot.

After shooing her remaining employee out of the office and forcing him to go home, Frida called Webster over as well.
The dog came trotting out into the hall after Frida and sniffed the marble floor eagerly. "Yes, your day is over with." The woman said as she turned the lights off with a wave of her wand, and used a key to lock up the office door. "Let's go home." She said and looked down at Webster, "Maybe I'll have Michelle come over and have a look at you, she might want to keep you."
With a final check to make sure everything was sealed tight, Frida picked up her handbag and headed off down the hallway with Webster right on her heels.
----
Frida arrived early the next morning not looking like her normal self. She had dark circles under her eyes as though she hadn't slept all night, and the whites were slightly reddened.
Quietly, she unlocked the office door and turned the lights back on. Webster was not with her today, and in all honesty it was probably for the best.
She sighed and set her heavy bag and briefcase down on her desk and left the door open a crack. 'Best get my mind on other things.' Frida thought to herself and took out a rather thick pile of forms and other numerous paperwork.
After a sluggish attempt to fix her normally neat hair; which today was on the messy side, Frida waved her wand and reorganized the desks in the room so that they were in a square formation. Her's was at the back of the office directly facing the doorway, while Richard's was to her left facing Annie's, which was across from Richard's; both were facing the middle of the room as well.
Frida then removed a large silver bowl from her bag and set it inside her lowest and largest desk drawer for safekeeping.

Wondering where your divison is? Why, they're probably at the Quidditch World Cup!
Go on and join them! Don't forget to check into Security (even if you're traveling by broom!) and once you get past there, you can head on over to the Campground and pitch a tent the old fashioned way and wait for the event to begin!
If you have any questions please contact myself (Miss Lissy Lou) or your Division Head (EquestrianGal88)

The Cup was now over and done with, so it was time for Frida to get back to her usual work.
The woman unlocked the office door and walked inside. As usual, she was the first one to arrive, so she set to work on organizing her own deskspace and await the arrival of her coworkers.
She peeked inside her desk drawer, which until a moment ago was locked for safe-keeping. 'Still here.' Frida thought with a smile and took a large bowl filled with bright liquid and set it down on her desk carefully. 'Another one might be good.'
Frida placed her wand-tip next to her temple and extracted a memory. It wasn't very long, but the information was important.
With a graceful flick of her wrist, the memory dropped into the bowl, seemingly light as a feather.

| ♥ Slytherpuff ♥ dancer ♥ totally awesome :: Starkid lover Amaria Lee walks into the Oblivators Headquarters, for her first time. Actually, she had come her before but then had to leave to the Quidditch World Cup . So this was her first time in the room. She looked around and saw a desk in a small corner with her name on a brass plate. Amaria sits down in the large comfy chair and begins going through the drawers.
