"Not a problem, that's what I'm here for." Frida took the man's question into consideration and responded, "The job of the obliviator is to modify the memory of any muggle who has witnessed an act of magic. We create memories to fill the void where the 'bad' memory once was. That's the summed up version anyway." Her pale eyes glanced over to the space under her desk where Webster was.

Nath accepted the books with a polite nod, grabbed one and looked over it as Frida continued. Nath looked up from the cover of the books and asked,

"Do we have any job assignments at this moment or is there anythig I an help you with Ma'am.....?"

His eyes followed her gaze then he resumed looking at the books on his inbox. He hoped that there would be something to do other than sit in an office, but if that was what she wanted then he would do it gladly....

She pushed a heavy book to the side of her desk so that there was a clear view of both her workers. Webster seemed to slide down a bit in order to hid himself. "If you are both willing to take on this task, then I'd be more than happy to supervise. Just to make sure that nothing goes wrong of course."

"I'm not sure how long it's gone on, so that'll be part of the challenge. I'm sure we'll be able to see a change in personality along the progress of our spells. Once he is able to be around people without being scared to death, then we'll know that we are near in his memory where the cruelty started."

"Nath, you can have the first attempt at the memory if you are willing. Richard," Frida looked to the man who was in the office as well, "You can have second go. Not too much at once remember." She said the last bit to both of the employees. "Keep in mind that he's an animal, so it's going to be a bit tricky at first. Use tiny flicks."

Nath gulped and withdrew his long white wand, he concentrated on the dogs memory and found a primordial fear, and gave a minuscule flick of his wand.

"...Obliviate..." he wispered.....

The dogs head came out of the desk and licked Frida's hand, and gave a small bark. Nath jumped "How was that....?" He looked over at Richard then Frida, he withdrew a few feet and gave room for Richard to have his turn. Nath looked expectedly at Frida....

'Nothing out of the ordinary really.' Frida pat Webster's head as the canine started to cower behind his master's chair, though his tail wasn't so far between his legs like it usually was.

"That's a good start." Frida said and pushed her ponytail behind her right shoulder. "Do you know what stage of life you had reached? He's around two or so now from what I gathered." Watching the dog try to hide all the way under the desk, Frida reached down and pulled the dog out again halfway so that his head was easily reachable.
"Next time you should get a tad bit closer to the skull, that way you can make sure the spell isn't interfered with along the way. My grandfather mentioned something about false memories...but he might be relating to myth."

"Richard." Frida looked to the man nearby and bid him to come over, "I would like you to try a bit."

Richard smiled and nodded at the new employee, Nath. "Nice to meet you" he said as he walked forwards and withdrew his wand from his inside jacket pocket. His desk was still a bit muddled but that made it easier to find stuff.
He lowered himself so that he was squatting above the floor but at a short distance from the dog. He raised his wand slowly and pointed it between the dog's eyes. He moved it slowly to the left and then slowly to the right and then up and down, the dog's eyes followed the wand as though Richard was an optician doing an eye examination, before the wand was brought quickly back to the centre. Richard flicked it quickly while saying "obliviate". He intended for the dog to have memories of being a dog that was familiar to most in the ministry. It might've been slightly complicated considering the expanse of the ministry and its members.

Frida watched Webster as Richard came closer and attempted his charm on the animal.
The dog blinked its eyes twice before backing up a tiny bit, though his tail wagged very slightly, but stopped almost instantly.

"That's good." Frida said as she gave the dog a pat on the head. "That means that we are getting closer to the timeframe in which the behavior started, or at least eliminating some."
Webster looked between the three adults in the room, his dark eyes had a hint of curiousness for once and he allowed his tail to swish some more.
"I believe you both may have pinpointed a root in his memory that was definitely affected by people, possibly males, if I am right...perhaps we should continue?" Frida looked over to Nath, "I think it is your turn now." Smiling slightly, Frida placed a hand on Websters back, becoming slightly surprised as the dog sat down at her feet in front of the others. It seemed they were making progress after all.

"Remember this when you are modifying memories, especially now. You don't want to overwrite another obliviator's charm, that may create conflicting memories which make for odd behaviors in an individual...sort of like a second personality. So since Webster is not a human being, there will be no problem with us sharing the intended modification before proceeding."

Nath nodded and moved closer to the dog. He closed his eyes, but then opened them….He looked excitedly around then posed a Question to Frida,

“Perhaps we use Legilimens, to dive into Webster’s mind….that may work, ‘cause I was was taught that at Durmstrang, if Richard and I could do that first perhaps it will lead us quicker to the bad memories!”

He looked around then looked back at Webster….

Frida listened but didn't seem thrilled right off the bat. "I suppose that could work." She said quietly and kept a hand on top of the dog's head, almost like he was a brace.
"I wasn't aware that animals could have legilimens used against them." But then again, Frida wasn't very familiar with the craft. Nor was it her favorite tactic in the world.

"Well...I really wouldn't like to cause anymore harm to his mind, and though Legilimens might work it could cause some harm, I guess we will just do the Obliviate Spell then..."

Nath crouched down to Webster's height and held his wand out....He concentrated again on the feelings of fear...."Obliviate"...Nath kept his concentration and replaced the some of the fears with happiness. He looked up at Frida, "Did it work?"

The dog watched keenly as a paper airplane fluttered into the room and set itself on Nath's desk.

It read: Hey Nath, it's Blackstone! I just got in and heard you were down on level 3. Do you want to meet at the Leaky Cauldron after work, catch up on things, talk about old times, etc?

Anyway, I'm on level 5 with the IMTSB. See you later

Nath saw the plane land but at the moment he had no time for it....he again concentrated on the dog's memory, "Obliviate" and a flick of his wand he injected another happy memory into Webster's mind.....he looked at Frida

"How am I doing?"

Frida watched and snatched the note away, tossing it unceremoniously onto one of the empty desks that were nearby.

"That seems to be doing fine." She said and watched her dog stare around the room with a new look in his eyes. Webster didn't seem quite so paranoid anymore.

"What I want you to do next is a bit more complicated." Frida said as she leaned on her desk a bit since she still wasn't feeling well. "If possible, I would like you to extract whatever bad memory you can from him. I'm sure you have come across something like that in your education and experiences?" She looked on with a pleasant look, though the woman appeared a little more pale than usual.

"Once you've done that, I would like you to repeat the memory you are able to see, then from there I want you to alter Webster's memory a bit more." It was very similar to a pensieve...though a bit more tricky since it involved animals.

Richard still squatting down nodded at Frida, "yes miss" he said nodding and then looking back at the dog. He had never encountered or experienced something like this. The only memory charms and spells he'd had to use on his travels had been on humans...well if he had never used memory spells on any beasts. The dog was quite docile. He might have been docile too if he'd had a couple of different memory charms applied.
He tried the legilimency on the pooch. A sudden rush in to the dog's pupils didn't help much. As soon as the rush had finished all the memories were black and white and blurry. Even moreso they seemed to be more like a slideshow than the usual smooth flow of human memories.
Richard stopped the legilimancy and tried once more. This time he tried to be quick with his wand poised next to one of the dog's eyes. He pulled a strand of memory from the dog. He carried the wand with the memory attached, careful not to drop it, over to a cabinet where he pulled an empty pensieve out. He put the one memory inside and moved the basin slightly. He lowered himself slightly and at once fell into the pensieve.
He landed at the dog's side. The black and white blurriness was there with the movements very jumpy. It appeared to be a park. The dog's owner had thrown a stick in to the pond. The dog bounded forward and dived in to water that it had thought was a lot shallower. The memory ended there and then.

Nath looked carefully at Frida, her face seemed somewhat pale....no matter Nath assumed she was under stress from excess work or something like that. he bent down to the dog as Richard removed a memory, Nath proceeded to remove one as well, but as he got up with the memory hanging from his wand, Frida was leaning heavily on the desk, that Nath knew, was not a good sign. So he decided to ask....

"Madam, are you feeling alright?"

Nath hoped she would answer truthfully....

After coming back into the present after zoning out for a few moments, Frida looked to the two employees.
She witnessed another strand being added to the pensieve. "I'm fine." She said quietly and leaned back in her chair, unable to get comfortable. "I think I just have a cold, or I'm developing allergies. Nothing to be alarmed about."

Webster's tail swished from side to side as he glanced to each human in the room. Clearly he was feeling better than when he had first arrived.

"Alright Ma'm, just making sure you weren't going to fall over, and become really sick" Nath put the memory in the pensive and looked into it.....He was sitting beside the dog as someone yelled at Webster, the unknown person threw a bottle that made webster jump aside....Nath was again standing over the pensive, he retrieved the memory and placed it in one of the vials next to the pensive.

He went back to Webster and removed the memory permanently from his mind, and replaced it with a memory of a good time spent curled up next to the fire, while the unkown master talked gently and nicely to the dog....

Once Nath was finished he looked back at Frida again....hopefully she was ok, He didn't want a coworker to suddenly fall very ill....

Katy made her way to the Obliviator Headquarters, she had three divisions down, only a few left to go! Being a liason was definitely hard work, but completely worth it! She found the Division Head's office door and knocked and awaited to be addressed.

Nath looked up from his work at the sound of the knocking. "I will get it.."

Nath jumped up and rapidly approached the door, he opened it and saw Katy standing there, "Hello madam," Nath's thick Russian accent effected his speach but the words were still understandable, "Velcome to ze Obliviator headquarters, how may I help you?"

Katy smiled when the door opened, "Hello. My name is Katy Weston, and I'm the new liason for this department. I was just making my way through to all of the division heads and introducing myself! Umm...are you the division head for the obliviators?"

He looked behind him to Frida standing at her desk next to Webster, He beckoned to Katy and opened the door wider with a sweep of his hand,

"Ze department head is this vay miss..."

He motioned her to follow him to Frida's desk, as they walked he pointed out what they were currently doing, "As you can probably guess ve are practicing on a animal first before ve move on to the veal zing you know?"

At that moment they had approached Frida's desk, "This Miss Weston is Frida Bok our ministry head..."

Katy smiled at the man, "Ohh its alright, thanks." as she followed him into the room. She nodded as the man explained what they were doing in the office, making mental notes.

When she was introduced to the division head she replied, "Hello! I'm Katy Weston, the new liason for this department. I was just going around to all the department heads introducing myself since we'll be working together in the upcoming months!"

Frida looked up from the notepad that had appeared in front of her over the last few moments as she wrote a few lines on it for further reference. The sound of the door being knocked on was a nice change.

Another employee that the woman wasn't familiar with stepped inside and introduced herself, first to Nath, but then made her way over to where Frida was.
Frida stood up from behind her desk and extended her hand to shake with the new arrival. "Hello, Katy." She repeated and introduced herself in turn. "I'm Frida Bok. You must be very new, I'm afraid I haven't seen you around before."

Webster, the big shaggy golden brown dog that the office had been 'repairing' mentally, started to wag his tail at the sight of new people and trotted over to Frida's desk and towards Katy. Looking up at whoever was closest in order to receive affection.
