Iridesca listened to the note that flew in and was instantly reminded about the debates, "O, no! I almost forgot about them and that would've been bad since I'm asking a couple of the questions!" she sad outloud but more to herself than anyone else. She picked up her new purple purse and headed out of her office. On the door she hung a sign:

Quote:

~*Gone to the Debates on Level 10. Hope to see you all there!~*

She bewitched the sign to flash and then spell out the words as if a typewriter was typing them. Then she shut the door and headed out towards the Debates.

Yaya 07-06-2009 06:35 PM

Suddenly, Diana just saw the memo there, sitting saying that there would be debates on level 10. Ehem...she should leave, like now! Taking her purse and leaving another memo over her cubicle saying she was at the debates, she headed down there and hoped it all went great. Just another day of work...

sigh...

Krel Ansell 07-20-2009 02:41 PM

Krel yawned as she plopped herself down in her chair. It had been a long night. One filled with arguing with her boyfriend and she hadn’t gotten much sleep. From his frame on her desk, the photo of Chris scowled at her as if continuing the argument they’d had the night before. Krel reached out and slammed the picture down, face-first, on her desk. “Bloody git,” she muttered to herself as she glanced over her to-do list that she had left herself last Friday. Looked like she’d be spending a good portion of the day researching in the hall of records.

An interdepartmental memo flew into the room and landed on Iridesca's desk.

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j9...department.jpg

There was a note attacted to the top of that for Iridesca as well,

Quote:

Please distribute this to everyone in your division
This memo was also along with the memo about the meeting.

Lezleighd 07-23-2009 11:22 PM

Before leaving for the department meeting, Iridesca sent a reminder flying around the room to all of the cubicles. The reminder flew around shooting off sparks and reminding everyone in her division about the mandatory department meeting in the conference room. She was anxious to make it to the meeting because this education worry could turn into a huge international ordeal if the department didn't figure something out.

She shut her door quickly and headed off towards the conference room. As she walked by each cubicle, she personally reminded and invited each person in the division about the meeting.

Iridesca knew it was overkill to send a memo and then go around personally but she really hoped they all would be there to make their division look great!

Lezleighd 08-07-2009 03:58 AM

Sorry for the double post, but we gotta get started on some important work...

Iridesca was very excited to get started on the school transfer issue and even more excited for her division to have something to do. She wrote quickly on a sheet of paper in flashing ink:

Quote:

~*Attention all IMOL Staff Members!!!*~

Important meeting in the seating area outside of Iridesca's office
concerning our role in the school transfer issue.

Please grab a quill and a piece of parchment and head that way ASAP.
.

With a flick of her wrist, the paper flew from cubicle to cubicle announcing the meeting.

*OOC: Please RP your charrie coming to the couches within the next 24 hoursish because tomorrow I'll post what our duty as a division is going to be. Thanks! =0]

Eep. An announcement. Diana had arrived that morning, all weirdly looking thanks to that night out with her parents and late sleeping. She was not really in her usual cheery mood, but able to just stand through the day without any trouble.

Looking at the note sent to her cubicle, she sighed, took her piece of parchment and quill and took her trip towards the couch area in front of her boss's office. Was she ready to take the day...let's just say...Time will tell...

And there she sat and waited for the rest of her co-workers to arrive.

Looking at the note sent to her cubicle, she sighed, took her piece of parchment and quill and took her trip towards the couch area in front of her boss's office. Was she ready to take the day...let's just say...Time will tell...

And there she sat and waited for the rest of her co-workers to arrive.

Iridesca took a seat on the couch closes to her door...yes she was being a little bit lazy today. She pulled out her quill and a notebook and wrote the date on the first piece of parchment.

She looked around watching the flashing note make announcements at each cubicle and hoped that everyone was ready to give their two cents about their assignment for the transfer issue.

She smiled as Diana walked over. Diana looked tired but ready for the day.

"Hey Diana!
" Iridesca said with a smile, but not an overwhelming one....it was still early, "How was your weekend?" she asked with curiosity. Sadly, Iridesca hadn't been able to really meet all of her staff since the transfer issue had swept her away almost immediately after her arrival....but it was never too late to start.

Yaya 08-07-2009 05:06 PM

Slap...do wake up, Saenz!

"Hello, Iridesca...good morning" Diana greeted with her smile and a bit of cheer. Her boss was asking about her weekend. Hehe..."Well, it was great. It started off with a dinner with Jonathan then the next day my parents arrived, and we had a long weekend, talking and updating on normal issues of family and even the situation put here in the Ministry." She sighed. Was it time to say what was gonna happen later, in a term or so? Maybe not for now...

"How about yours?" She asked Iridesca, curious look on her face.

Lezleighd 08-07-2009 06:05 PM

Iridesca listened intently...she could tell that the weekend had tired out Diana.

"Wow, that sounds like a lot to do in one weekend. Whenever family comes down, even if we don't do anything big, I am so dead when they leave I'm almost useless." she smiled and then continued her smile slowly fading, she said with a wink, "so I didn't really go any where special. But I got a lot of unpacking and settling done. And I got my niece's room set up for when she comes home from term." she was so excited for Satine to get home from Hogwarts so she could hear all of her stories and adventures and such.

Yaya 08-07-2009 09:59 PM

Niece. Yesh, Diana had heard about Iridesca having a niece in Hogwarts, same house as Em, she could guess. "Oh, settling is like fun when you see all the hardwork you put into it and then see the results. I'm sure your niece will apreciate it really much." She was now cheering up, then thought...oh my goodness.

"My brother, Emiliano. He proposed me to help him with the organization of a party for her friend Karma, to celebrate she's graduating from Hogwarts. And well, that has tired me out these past couple of weeks, as well." Then, an idea hit her. "Is your niece going somewhere this summer? Because I'd like to invite her as well. I don't think Emiliano has a bit done of what he's supposed to do, like giving out invitations, or even doing the guests' list." She giggled and meant the invitation.

"You are invited as well. Us, adults will have a party of our own that day as well, and leave the youngsters at the pool and cabin next to it." She commented and smiled to Iridesca.

Lezleighd 08-09-2009 02:55 AM

Iridesca was excited to hear about Diana's family and that she had a brother at Hogwartz with her niece. She instantly wondered if they knew each other.

"Wow, that is a lot to take on. If you need any help, please feel free to ask. I love designing stuff and planning things. I'm sure my niece would love to come and meet new people if she doesn't already know them. That sounds like a blast, especially the grown up part. " she finished with a wink.

Division Assignment for the Hogwarts Transfer Issue

She looked around the sitting area and wondered where everyone was. "Well, I guess we'll get started without everyone.....well Just the two of us for now I hope everyone else shows up soon." she could hear the muggle song in her head but pushed it out and continued.

"Lili and all of the division heads met on Sunday to discuss what actions that were presented at the conference room meeting, which I have to mention was an adventure." she said with a smirk remembering the fiasco of a meeting. "But I have to admit that I was very proud of the way our division represented itself...I have to say we were the most prepared and well-mannered." she said with pride beaming from her smile.

"But back to business....We all agreed that the first logical step is to put together a survey for the parents who have transferred their children to Hogwarts....what better way to find out why then to just ask...so Lili has asked each division to come up with atleast four questions for the survey....These questions need to be very specific but I think open-ended questions would work the best to get real opinions out of the parents. These surveys will be completely confidential so it's important that we feel open to ask whatever questions we deem necessary in our investigation." she paused for a minute to let the last words sink in.

"So, what I would like for our division, well I guess just you and I, for now at least" she said trying hard not to roll her eyes...she would have to mention to Lili that her division was missing in action, "need to come up with three questions each by Tuesday. (OOC: Tuesday, August 11) and then we can decide from those questions which ones we would like to be added officially to the survey." she paused again wondering once again where everyone was.

"We'll meet back here on Tuesday (OOC: Tuesday, August 11) and present our questions and then go from there. Any questions or comments or concerns or just O my goodness this is crazyies..." she said with a smile looking at Diana.

Krel Ansell 08-11-2009 03:33 PM

My questions have been PM-ed to you.

Krel hadn’t been at the initial meeting about the survey questions primarily because she had been waiting outside Liliana’s office. It had been a rather disheartening event as Liliana had quite frankly brushed her off after specifically directing her to work on survey questions at the meeting with the foreign schools headmasters.

As such, Krel has dropped a few of her other projects to do some research on the type of questions that would be the most beneficial and garner the most information. Perhaps what she had come up with were a bit wordy, but she felt confident in them. After all, Krel’s primary skills rested not in wand work or other forms of magic, but in research and the written word. In fact, had it not been for the written requirements of most of her classes at Hogwarts, Krel would have failed; she was simply not good at the practical application of magic.

Krel knocked gently on the frame of Iridesca’s door and held up a formal looking report portfolio. “I prepared a few survey questions.” She paused, “Probably more then you initially wanted, but,” she shrugged and handed over the portfolio.

Lezleighd 08-12-2009 02:14 AM

Iridesca's face lit up seeing Krel walk over to the seating area to join in on the survey conversation. She looked at the very professional portfolio in Krel's hand, and was overjoyed once again that Krel was in her division. They were definitely lucky and it explained why she was late...she had been working her butt off preparing for the survey questions....two points for Krel.

She took the portfolio and flipped through it examining the questions in great detail. After what seemed like forever, she looked up at Krel,

"Wow, this is absolutely amazing Krel! I'm so happy we have you in our division. These questions are just perfect and I can tell you put a lot of thought into each of these. Just great job!" she felt like she couldn't praise her enough but she didn't want to overwhelm her too much.

She sat the portfolio down, "Everyone please take a look at the questions and let me know what you think or if there is anything you would like to add to them."

Krel Ansell 08-12-2009 01:39 PM

Krel settled herself down into the corner of one of the red sofas and hooked her left foot behind her right leg. One of her Hebridean Black scale heels almost fell off but she slipped her foot back into it and then ran a hand over her black silver striped tie to check that it was straight.

"Thank you," Krel responded to Iridesca's praise. Her superior seemed pleased with her work and Krel felt a small well of pride at this. However, she didn't let it go to her head. If she had had a bit more time, she probably could have come up with more questions. Her mind drifted off as the other people in the department looked over the questions she'd prepared and found herself wondering what types of questions the other departments would come up with.

Lezleighd 08-19-2009 08:54 PM

Iridesca looked over the questions once again and then added, "Well, Diana had some good ideas to add to the questionnaire also. I think between all of these we have a good start."

Quote:

In case your child comes aboard an international magic school and you can't go live towards the country in which it's located, Would you consider a tutor in your name to be proclaimed in charge of the student?

In that case, who or what relation does that person have with your child or yourself as a parent?

And what is the reason you cannot keep the company of your child at that time?
She glanced over each of the questions from Krel and Diana and made some notes, "Well, these look great, so I'm going to present all of these to the Division Heads and to Lili." she smiled because she knew their division had done great.

"Okay, on to our next task. We need to start researching and putting together some guidelines to help regulate the transfer of students into Hogwarts. These guidelines will just be suggestions to give to Hogwarts and the Board, but we have been asked to figure out some guidelines/requirements for each student that transfers in to meet. It's our job to decide two different levels of requirements." she paused to think for a minute. "We need to create some pretty strict guidelines and some medium level guidelines."

purple·myst 09-14-2009 02:03 AM

A memo flew into the room.

Quote:

Mandatory meeting in the Conference Room now!

phoenix_tears 09-15-2009 05:08 PM

Camila had just entered when she saw a memo flying into the room. She took off her coat and dropped her bag on her desk and went over to see what the memo said.
A meeting? Now?, she thought misearably. She was very tired from her restless night but she thought she'd better head for the meeting.
Sighing she picked her bag again and walked out towards the conference room.

Lezleighd 09-20-2009 10:42 PM

OOC: Just a reminder we are still having a meeting in the conference room and Lili, our Department Head, has just made an important announcement. Please hurry that way so you can be apart of it all........Thanks!

Krel Ansell 10-01-2009 04:03 PM

Krel walked back into the office. It was empty. It was quiet. And her tea was still steaming ever so slightly on the corner of her desk. Mmm…must be getting better at the warming charm.

She pulled her desk chair out, spun it around and then sat down. She looked out over the empty room bouncing just a little in her chair as she let herself drift away with her thoughts. Edward hadn’t contacted her since she broke the news in at the Bells the other day and she didn’t particularly blame him. She’d been leading him on, no matter what she had been telling herself and now she had to pay the price for it.

Sigh.

She turned around slowly in her chair and kicked off her Peruvian Vipertooth heels under her desk and went back to work.

phoenix_tears 10-02-2009 08:35 AM

Camila walked back into their office, she looked around and saw that Krel was already there. "Heey Krel." She said smiling in her direction before making her way back to her desk.

She put her bag on it and took out her note book, she looked around again and saw that Krel had gone back to work. She decieded that she'd better too but her mind was still very preoccupied now that the excitement of the Quidditch World Cup had faded away.

Lezleighd 11-06-2009 02:20 PM

Iridesca hurried through the office passing out flyers about the division's newest assignment. She was extra excited that things had finally been lined up with the other department working with them.

As she walked, she flicked her wand and the flyers were instantly folded into a shape that resembled a paper broom.

When touched, the broom would instantly unroll to reveal the newest assignment.

Quote:

Magical Office of Law
Quidditch World Cup Assignments

#1
Broom Adaptations for the Players
We need to compile a list of adaptations that will be considered illegal for the players to utilize during play and practice events.

#2
Foreign Guests Arrival
We need to begin putting together a list of ideas to insure the safety and comfort of the arriving guest from other countries and areas.

#3
Creature Restrictions
We need to start creating some regulations on the number of each creature allowed from each country. As many of you know, the Ministry issued a statement stating that no non-wizard beings or creatures will be allowed as this year's Quidditch Cup. However, they are willing to negate that statement if we can come up with some regulations to just monitor the numbers.

Division Meeting:
When:
Starting Next Wednesday, November 11 around noon (CST) and continuing for as long as necessary
Where:
International Magical Office of Law
*Bring your ideas and comments to discuss each item.

Lezleighd 11-11-2009 03:24 PM

Sorry for the double post, but we gotta get this meeting started...

Iridesca sat down in the comfy couches in the MoL's meeting area. She was still buzzing with excitement about the Quidditch news and was even more pumped about the tasks the division had been given.

She glanced around and with a flick of her wand a reminder fluttered to every person's desk reminding them of the meeting today to deal with the three tasks. They needed to plan out a strategy and get some things going asap.

She flicked her quill and wrote the date and each task on three different sheets of paper. She was ready for anything or atleast she hoped.

momentai 11-11-2009 07:11 PM

A paper airplane flies into the room and comes to a rest on your desk, unfolding and smoothing out to reveal...

Lezleighd 11-11-2009 08:01 PM

Iridesca glanced at the paper airplane and quickly unfolded it...she really wasn't sure what to think...this meant that one of their tasks was definately going to be marked off the list...what was the ministry thinking limited these creatures....she puffed air out of her mouth and her bangs flew out of the way. She folded the paper up nicely and put in on the table in front of her...wow this was a development....
