Agatha heard somebody calling...must be the new boss, she thought. Getting up from her desk, she marched into the office. Not the first to arrive, she waited her turn. |
ooc: thanks for your prompt responses! :) Pandora watched as a pretty young woman walked towards her. When she addressed Pandora as Mrs Cavanaugh she smiled a little. That sounded... amazing! Snapping back into professional mode she said, "Good Morning, Diana it's good to meet you. Please, call me Pandora. Tell me, do people usually take so long to get here? You are on time, but I'm afraid that everyone else is in danger of being late." She looked around the office. "I think we are in need of a little reorganisation, don't you?" She noticed another member of the division, who had apparently been there all along. "Hello, I'm Pandora Cavanaugh, the new division head. Would I be right in think that you are Agatha Cavendish?" She held out her hand for the elder woman to shake. "I was just saying that I think this place could do with a bit of sprucing up, bring down some of these barriers so that we can all communicate a little better. I hope you are both ready to help." |
Agatha accepted the womans outstretched hand and shook it firmly. 'Yes, I am Agatha Cavendish. I will endeavor to assist you in what ever way you deem fit.' she said with a nod. While awaiting further instruction or dismissal, Agatha eyed the young woman, trying to size her up. {Time would tell. Young folks and their new fangled ideas. Best way to communicate was over a nice cup of tea and some biscuits or scones.} |
Pandora gave Agatha a small smile as she shook her hand. "That's what I like to hear. Now, Agatha, if you could check that all the paper work that is completed has been correctly filed away and correlate all the outstanding paper work, no matter who's desk it's on. I want to know about the most urgent issues so that they can be promptly addressed." She turned to Diana, "Diana, could you start by taking down the cubicle walls? Put people's personal things in a box and if anyone has a problem with it, direct them to me. After we've done that I think we should have a break. I brought a peach and almond tart. It's a speciality of mine." This was also quite un-Pandora-like. She was becoming... who knew what? |
Agatha just nodded in reply and left the office. Paperwork and organization were just fine with her. |
