Story: So, Hermione has been with Harry for a bit, but he’s a bit controlling...
Scratch that, he’s a control freak.
Hermione puts up with his controlling ways, of him telling her what they’re doing, where to go, etc. Then out of nowhere, a girl switches into their classes and Harry seems to start to grow a crush on this girl. Hermione is jealous and angry, so she decides to use Draco (his idea actually) to get back at Harry and make him jealous.

Will Harry come to terms with how he acts? Will he win Hermione back? Will Hermione really fall in love with Draco despite her promise to herself? Or will everything go down the tubes for Hermione because she realizes Harry isn’t truly worth it...?

NOTE: Harry isn’t seen much as a control freak in the beginning, but it’s more because of what comes up later... that and there isn't all that much yet, but it'll get a better.
And this is my first full Sa16+ F.F (I’ve done one-shots, that’s it).

Chapter 1
Nearly Late...

“Don’t forget Crookshanks, Hermione!” Jane, Hermione’s mom called after her daughter with the tabby in her hands.

“Thanks,” Hermione said as she took Crookshanks from her mother’s arms.

She quickly said goodbye again and jumped onto the train with two minutes before the doors were planned to close. It was the first time she was this late for the Hogwarts Express. In her mind, it was the first (legitimate) black mark on her previous 6 years at Hogwarts, and she hadn’t even gotten there yet!

Hermione walked down the open expanse, looking into each compartment to find Harry and Ron. Over the summer, she had been the one Harry went to when Ginny refused to take him back once he was able to. Because of it, their friendship had grown until Harry brought it to the next level. Since then, they have been together.

Throughout the summer though, Hermione noticed Harry had changed when around her though. He started telling her what she shouldn’t do, when to wake up, even what to eat. She was surprised, but didn’t say anything, she only assumed he cared enough to tell her these things.

Looking into the next compartment, Hermione saw a messy head of black hair in the window. She smiled and opened the compartment door and let Crookshanks go. He jumped out of her arms and jumped onto the seats and rubbed against Harry. Harry scratched behind Crookshank’s ears and let him prowl away.

“Hey, Mione,” he said when a warm smile upon seeing her lugging her things inside the compartment. She threw her things inside wordlessly and then sat next to Harry.

“Hello,” she said just before Harry kissed her. “How was the remainder of the summer for you?”

“Boring... I wish you stayed at the Headquarters, it was more enjoyable when you were around.”

“I had to see my parents at least once this summer, Harry,” Hermione responded pointedly. “Besides, it’s not like I’d miss out on tanning on the beaches of California to stay in a grimy house.”

“So that’s where this beautiful glow came from,” Harry said as he stroked Hermione’s cheek. A slow smile started to form on Hermione’s face, but quickly dropped when he said, “I still don’t see why it had to be a whole month though.”

“They’re my family, Harry,” Hermione replied defensively.

“Uh... good mornin’...?”

Hermione pulled away from Harry and looked over her shoulder. A pallid, half-asleep Ron stood at the compartment doors, watching curiously.

“Have a good sleep, Ron?” Hermione asked with a smirk as he attempted to pull his things inside.

“Yeah, like always,” he responded sarcastically as he threw his remaining smaller trunks onto the shelves. He sat across from Harry and Hermione.

“How’d you muster the strength to get out of bed if you’re that tired walking?” Harry joked.

“I don’t even want to think about that... anyways, how’re you two? Still at each other?”

“What?”

“How’re you two doing?” Ron rephrased quickly, smiling brightly.

“Good. Mione nearly missed the train though,” Harry said simply.

“I’m sorry if Crookshanks wasn’t where he was before,” Hermione snapped.

“I told you to get ready early in case something like that happened,” Harry pointed out with a hard edge.

“Funny, coming from you...”

“Guys, can’t you two ever have a conversation without arguing?” Ron cut in.
Harry and Hermione looked at Ron, shocked. Crookshanks went up to Ron and welcome him to the room.

“What...?”

“Out of all the people, that’s all,” Harry said as he got up. He reached up and started to pull down his trunk from the shelves that hung above the seats.

“People can change,” Ron responded defensively.

“That’s been dually noted,” Hermione said. “So how was your remaining summer for you?”

“It went well, I finally got to sleep in a bit for the last few days at least, but mum actually surprised us all when we went to Diagon Alley...”

“What’d she do?” Hermione asked eagerly.

“She bought a cat,” Harry concluded as he dropped his trunk onto the floor.

“I was telling the story,” Ron mumbled.

“It’s ok, Ron. So what kind of cat? What colour? Like Crookshanks or totally different?” Hermione was about to ask more questions, but was cut off by the sound of the horn. She looked out the window and saw the greenery passing by.

“I don’t know any breeds, but this cat was black with silver underneath it, so you can’t say she’s a cat for bad luck. We all named her Onyx because of her colour.”

“Aw, she sounds cute. How old she is?”

“About two months now. Ginny’s got her in the next compartment over with Neville and Loony... Luna,” Ron said quickly as he saw Hermione’s expression.

“So when you feel like it, you should go and check.”

“Yeah, it’s been a few hours since I’ve seen that overly-social thing, I could go with you, Hermione,” Harry said as he pulled out a chocolate frog.

“I’m fine, Harry, I can go by myself,” Hermione responded simply.

“But...”

“I can survive by myself for a few minutes or hours, thank you very much Mr. No-One-Can-Come-On-My-Horcrux-Hunt!” Hermione snapped, unable to take Harry’s attitude. She stood up and left the compartment, slamming the door.

“What’s eating her?” Harry asked as he handed Ron a licorice snap.

Ron shrugged as he stuck it in his mouth.

I cried because like i went to go find the song on youtube and well.reading the chapter and listening to the song made me cry.You couldnt have picked a better song.Draco is sooooooooooooo sweet.I hope Hermione gives him a chance.Great post.PAMS

You searched it on YouTube? There's a Harry Potter-related video along to the song (All I Need by Within Temptation). It's sad tho, it's about Snape's life and how he loves Lily but it could never work and he watched her get close with James and as she was getting married he became a Death Eater...
It's a great, yet sad song. Did you like it though?

You'll see if she gives Draco a change in the next chapter

(I mean it, next chapter you will find out. As a result it's nameless... 0.o. Couldn't think of one).

Ok, make that TWO one-shots. Nearly done them both and I'll post them both at the same time if I can...
Both are songs by Avril Lavigne (not a big fan but her old songs are fairly good, especially lyrically. The songs I'm using are Tomorrow and Slipped Away. So one that's an average-ish/cute and a sad/depressing one. Funnily enough I'm nearly done both, but I'm closer to finishing Slipped Away... whatever, both are still pretty far into it and near the end).

Anyways, I MADE A POLL!

I set a random day for when it ends that's a long ways away, so hopefully it'll expire by the time we're done, but it'll probably span out longer...
Some things are grammatically incorrect, spelled wrong, etc. I was soooo mad that things didn't fit I started taking out words, shortening them, etc.

Also, I just posted two one-shots, Tomorrow and Slipped Away (you can already tell one of them is depressing, right?

Well I tried to lighten the mood in two parts...). Both songs by Avril Lavigne, both are Dramione. Hopefully they'll be up within the next day or two (I'll post links when I see them. They're both 16+ also).

I'm starting a countdown

9 more days until my birthday! (wow... seems like yesterday I was saying 20 days. Where did the weeks go?). As my gift to you all, I'll double post that day (September 24th). Only one more year til I can take Drivers Ed now... hehehe, I was a crazy go-cart driver, I can only imagine how this'll go (I was worse than my brother, who has his N now but is in Japan for the next two months for school).

Yes, it was originally 4Ever but for some stupid reason the mods changed it to Forever.
That one-shot was posted that over a month ago... I posted the link to it when it was up (it was up on August 9th and it got moved like, on the 24th or something).

bleh, I'm bored and at home 'sick' (well I am sick, not faking, but it was worse in the morning), and I feel like updating.
I'm pretty sure all of you will love this update

This chapter officially has no name (that I can think of at least). You can name it for yourself if you want, but I've got nothing.

Chapter 20

The next day, Hermione set out, with the silver iPod, to find Draco. She walked down the deserted halls to the Great Hall for breakfast, and found Harry already there, sitting in the middle of the table with Ron next to him, Jaimie at least 6 people away from him on the same side. She looked around for an open spot that wasn’t near him, and was successful when she found a spot on the opposite side of the table at least twenty seats away, the spot in front of her empty. She started putting food on her plate and eating casually, savouring the taste.

Ten minutes passed, she looked up and across the room. She saw him, Draco, look down quickly and continue talking with the group of people next to him. She looked back down as well, after a moment in hopes he’d match her gaze, and continued eating. She kept her head down, but looked up and saw him looking again. She dug into her pocket and pulled out a headphone. She made it clear what it was to Draco by pretending to examine it, and she looked at him quickly. He matched her gaze for only a moment, the intensity burning into her, and then looked away. She dropped the headphone on her lap and finished her breakfast. She slid the headphone back into her pocket and got up and walked away. She turned left as soon as she left, hoping to make it clear she was going to the library.

Making it into the room of books, she meandered down to the back of the library and behind a shelf. She started searching for a book to read, looking around and walking slowly. She heard movement and looked to the centre of the library and saw Draco standing at the end of the rows, just looking at her. She waved her hand beckoningly and he walked down the way towards her.

“Where’d you get this?” she asked as she pulled the iPod out.

“I saw your blue version of it... I went down the muggle London during Christmas holidays and bought one along with this thing they call a ‘lapmop’ or whatever and started to put songs on it after figuring out its use,” he responded quietly to make sure no one else could hear him. “It definitely comes in handy.”

“Did you have fun sticking it to my window?” Hermione asked with a light smile.

“That message was much more enjoyable to put up,” Draco replied sarcastically.

“Why did you not want to be seen?” Hermione asked curiously.

“You haven’t said a word to me in well over a month; I honestly didn’t think you’d want to see me in your window if you don’t want to talk to me in public.”

“Look... I’m sorry about everything... I’ve just felt so lost and confused and... overall down in the dumps for the past while, thinking about Harry’s change ever since Christmas, you...”

“So you have been thinking about me,” Draco cut in with a smirk.

“More the things I’ve heard you’ve been doing and imagining it more than anything,” Hermione responded simply.

“If you’re talking about Potter and the tree, he had it coming,” Draco said, automatically jumping into a defensive mode.

“I never said it was your fault,” Hermione pointed out. “And with Ron...?”

“He managed to use a spell that somehow semi-Splinched my wand arm,” Draco explained. “I was just getting him back.”

“You got him back all 5 times, I’m sure,” Hermione drawled sarcastically.

“Yeah,” he said, nodding and smirking at the memories.

“It’s just... why have you suddenly started trying to beat them up?”

“It’s the final year, I might as well have fun before you can get arrested for doing such things for my reasons,” Draco responded with a shrug. Hermione looked back at him in a condescending way. “And they caused my problems in the first place, I just showing them what it’s like.”

“What problems? If it wasn’t for Harry, we wouldn’t be here right now, would we?”

Draco shrugged. again “Ever since I sent him to the Hospital Wing, he’s been acting against me somehow, and then Weasley just made things worse on the train.”

“Well you did jump in...”

“But he could’ve used his head just that once and walked away.”

“You could’ve too,” Hermione cut in. “But whatever... the past is the past. It’s now that matters. And speaking of now, here’s your iPod.”

She handed Draco the iPod. As Draco slowly pulled his hand away to put the iPod on his pocket, his eyes were locked onto hers. Hermione moved closer and said, “I’ve also been thinking about the last time you came into my dormitory...”

Draco’s features lit with a half-smirk, half-smile.

“And it has been a couple months...”

Draco pulled her closer to him and claimed her lips. As Hermione started responded, her arms wound around his neck, and she made him tilt his head so he had better access to her mouth. Her finger grazed their way up his neck and ran through his silky platinum locks. He deepened the kiss, and Hermione followed. Moments later, she pulled away and leaned her forehead on his.

“I definitely felt something that time,” she whispered.

**I also found out I’m better at writing snogging scenes when handwriting them. Everything else I’ve ever written (kissing wise) before that chapter was typed. I found this out at 4:30am on July 31st (yes, I wrote this chapter back then. I finished the story sometime in mid/late August), and I shall continue doing this when the times come... so basically I’ll have a notebook full of nothing but kissing scenes... 0.o**

Exactly, he considered it but he didn't want to come across as a horrible guy cause guys shouldn't pick on girls...
The only reason he picked on Mione before was cause he loved her

We all know guys pick on girls for that reason, and last I checked, he didn't have any feelings for Jaimie that aren't hatred

Beautiful kissing scenes! I personally find it easier to write those scenes when no one's in the house. I like to be alone when I write!
