Warm Fuzzies Thread

So lately there's been a few warm fuzzies floating around on twitter and I figured why not make a thread here where we can say nice things about how other people write their characters? Its nice to be able to focus on the things we admire, while also hopefully providing a bit of inspiration for others here and there. So if you have any shout outs for how a charrie is RPd, or their back story, or the way they talk, or anything at all about them that you think is just fabulous, why not say so here so that people can see what they're doing right, and we can make everyone feel happy and smiley?


Rules:
-Warm fuzzies should be about OTHER people's characters... not your own.
-Try to give some warm fuzzies to a variety of characters. If you see someone already mentioned that you want to give warm fuzzies to, come back and post again after its been a few posts.
-You can include non-school charries if you like, and graduated charries, as long as they're part of the SS timeline.
-absolutely no negativity. We're not here to say what people are doing WRONG, we're here to give props to the things we appreciate.

I will start:

I absolutely love feeheeheeny's Sophie Brown. She has changed SO much in the short time she's been at Hogwarts and I really appreciate seeing character growth and development. She's not perfect and that is what makes her so great.

I adore Emzily's Theodore Kinsley. He is SO brilliantly flawed and I can never get enough of stalking him. He's interesting and funny and so real and he's developed a lot over the past seven terms.

I'll jump back in here again, because I just was reading my class and had to say it.

(imaginarynumb3rs) Her charrie Fern I just adore. She is cute and fun. I love her already miss diva ways at times, but yet she is curious and social. Stalking her is always fun!

( Emjay's) Mariel is one of my favorite charries, she has been since I started reading her. Anyone that knows Mj, she's so nice and sweet, and Mariel is sweet too, but she has this side of her that just makes me laugh, she doesn't care what others think and she is too the point. Of course I love Ethan as well. She plays all her charries so differently and it's fun to watch all their personalities.

I fangirl so many charries it's hard to just pick on here, but another one that I think doesn't get seen alot, but should get some fangirling is () Harron Peasley ) I just adore how she writes Adam Stemp. He is a great Ministry Charrie that she has had in G&S for awhile. I just love how she writes him and how he loves his job and is so professional and sweet towards his coworkers, but his thoughts about his family are just so realistic and funny!

Professor Cassie! She's always so happy, positive and encouraging, it's hard not to love her. Despite Adi's dislike for Divination, he adores her attitude and it's for that reason he tries his best in her classes.

Professor Cosgrach. The man is the COOLEST Professor ever! His open mindedness to stuff (like pranks. Hehe) just makes him fun.

Professor Airey. We love his hyperness and weird ways

Professor Hadley. Best Puffer HoH ever! Jess has done an excellent job with Hadley. So encouraging and understanding.

Cutty. Only one word to truly describe him: UNIQUE. I mean that in a good way I always enjoy RPing with Dora. She's done a great job with that guy She's made him Adi's fave Slytherin.

Ethan, Simon & Zander. These three always make me laugh, whether it's Zander juggling books in classes or crushing on Bentley, or Simon's & Ethan's hyperness. Great job by the RPers

Beverly. We just love her. *leaves it at that*

Kevin. I adore this rude guy. Yep, I do He amuses me to the max. Linds's posts are always so much fun to read, especially detention ones

Lux. I adore Whit's charrie because Lux is a gentle, caring person. It really did touch me whenever I read the posts Whit made after Bay was attacked.

AJ. Kori does a brilliant job with AJ. Adi and I love AJ's competitive attitude. Plus she has an awesome sense of humour and doesn't take stuff seriously. I love charries like that.

Benny! Adi's quiet bestie. Kat put quite a bit of herself into Benny, I figured out from chatting with her and despite Adi and Benny being so different, I love those two interacting. I always get this "brother" vibe off the two of them. I'd sometimes refer to Benny as "Adi's brother from another mother" I love Benny being this quiet dude because Adi's always trying to get him to open up and be more out going. Plus when Adi pulls pranks on him, he doesn't get tooooo mad I'd say Kat & Benny are definitely my fave people to RP with I don't think I ever told Kat that

Past charries:
Gwen Greene: Rude to my Jory when he first met her and he hated her. But now she's one of his closest friend. Roxy was awesome at portraying the once cold hearted Gwen

Alec Summers: He is totally cool! *leaves it at that*

Hannah Lockwood: Can't forget her. Rude, annoying and eventually showed she had a heart. Adi and I miss her, Kori

Minerva Wheatborn: Love her kind, gentle and caring nature. She always took it on herself to make new Badgers feel at home.

Okay. Enough of me raving. But I just wanna add that I think you ALL do a wonderful job with your charries and it's always fun and interesting to read your posts

Starshine - You have 'star' in your username so that alone is enough to merit you cool points. I love how you play Cosgrach. My AJ thinks he is a pretty chill professor, and she is still touched that he made a potion all for her. We love good guy Cosgrach.

Bazinga - First, let me just say that I think it is very cool of you to always include everybody on this lovely site. Bart made me crack up in the short time that you played him. Cassie makes me lol with her snapping. She is so sweet, and we think she is a breath of fresh air.

sweetpinkpixie - We LOVE Airey. I like how you made Airey a unique person who marches to his own drum. We appreciate how fun you make the lessons and homework assignments. There isn't a charrie that you have that I don't like. You have me laughing out loud on so many occasions.

Emjay - AJ thinks that Nessa is the coolest professor ever. She is constantly telling everybody that will listen that you guys taught her a spell that will rid Peeves. I also enjoyed Ethan. That was one of the few people that my Hannah liked.

Hera - You are one of my absolute faves, do you hear me? FAVES. Bentley is an amazing head of house, and I adore how much she is for her lions. Emily is my favorite charrie that you play. Ainsley shakes in her boots just thinking about her.

PhoenixRising - Name twin! Hadley rocks. I love how patient she was with Hannah when she didn't even deserve it. I loved reading her thoughts when it came to Hannah.

FearlessLeader19 - You are another of my faves. Adi is such a sweetheart, and I have loved rping both Hannah and AJ with you. Adi showed my Hannah that she can sort of be nice to people. AJ loves how he will get down and dirty with her, and treat her like one of the guys. I think you do an awesome job of portraying a hufflepuff.

ArianaBlack - Zander is cracking me up over here. I love how you have him rise above the accusations that he isn't a true lion.

Mad Eye touz - Zhara is another one that makes me laugh out loud. She is another unique character and I adore that she doesn't care what anybody thinks. She is truly her own person. Thanks for keeping me amused.

TakemetotheBurrow - Maddison is such a cutie. I think you RP her perfectly as a young girl. Her thoughts make me me crack up. She will rule the world, dangit!

DaniDiNardo - You are adorable. You are another one that always includes everybody in the RP experience. Lex is perfect. Your posts are always amusing, and we love Lex's kick butt attitude. I think you portray a spot on Gryffindor who is her own person at the same time.

Edward Penguin - Edward and Ian both are great characters and I really enjoy rping with you. You are a favorite of mine as well. I like how Ian is shy at first, and then how he warms up to you. He is another character that is unique, and I think that is important.

So I will 100% be posting in here again cause there are just far too many wonderful charries!

First though,Cassirin's Marcus Branxton. I just want to give him a hug. Mo is like that friend that you want to have in real life cause they are honest and true and like there for you. I love how Mo is so so welcoming and protective of younger students even though he's wrapped up in his own stuff. And I ALSO love his intensity and how he'd fight for something he really believes in.

Samia's Noel Wallace, he is SUCH a primadonna without being annoying at all and LOVE him so much. Noel just seems like a character that is so genuine that he writes himself and he just seems so absolutely LOVE charries like that.

And then Lislchen. ALL of her charries. All of them. I just find all her posts so in depth and all her charries are so distinctive and they are RPed so well. So yeah, that just makes all of them so much fun to stalk.

And my FAVOURITE character of ALL time will forever and always be Ama's Celestina "Bucky" Warbuck. I don't think I ever got to RP with her (since I was a newbie back then ) but Bucky was AMAZING. So funny, and so unique. She was just a character I will never forget.

Just had to pop in because of Zander at the research thread and me practically flailing at his adorableness.

Anyway, ArianaBlack's Zander Adair is amazing. He's one of my favourite charrie's to watch around Hogwarts. I love his sense of humour, his jumping to conclusions, and his awkwardness. It's so much fun to read this charrie and see his interactions with other charries- I love it and can't wait to see more! He's way too cute. I just want to pinch those cheeks!

Also Mad Eye Touz's Zahra. I'm just blown away by your character. She's just so much fun to read. I can't explain in words how much I adore your lion! I can't wait to read more of her posts

I'm trying really hard not to spam this thread, but there are so many awesome people and charries that I could fangirl about you all forever.

Harry174 I had an awesome time RPing Hannah with Laura. I loved how she didn't back down, and was always up for a fight. Now I get to play a sister with you, and I adore how our charries interact. You are awesome.

Sarahlooo Fuller is a riot. I love reading his sarcastic thoughts, and then seeing that he is a softie on the outside.

I just had to come back here because ugh. I have so much respect for everyone on this site!

Charely Potter's Javy and sarahloo's Piers. Together, they make up my SS!OTP, but also they are both unique and well rounded characters. Piers is always on of my favorite charries to take classes from, and Javy seems to always be calm and serious except with Pierssss. Kudos to both of you.

Mad Eye Touz's Zahra. Honestly, I am so glad to have played with this charrie so many times because never once has Touz's posts not left me in stitches. She is hilarious, witty, and LOUD. Plus, her character is consistent, which is something I struggle with a lot in my posts. Touz, I look up to you.

Speaking of hilarious, Tegz has a wonderful character named Ruby and I swear, I fangirl this girl as much as she fangirls TDK. I think the thing I value most about Tegan's portrayal of her is the fact that she is such a different character than any I've seen, Tegan's or otherwise. Like Zahra, she makes me giggle no matter what.

LilFox06. Amy has a character named Anya with whom I've never RPed and yet stalk unmercifully. She has her ups and downs and it absolutely adorable. I like it when she and her husband interact - shoutout to Syd, too.

Gotta drop a warm fuzzy here for Emzily's Theodore Kingsley. I'm a huge fan of layered charries and Theo is so grumpy and sometimes not that I can't help but love him! and also he was the first charrie to fall in love with Bellaire and it does take a special charrie to see past her tough exterior. So yush..love him!

I know you already have been brought up...but its deserved. Squishy's girl Lux Carrington. Seriously, if you haven't role played with this little bundle of ever loving sunshine you are missing out. It is really fun, she's so sweet, very genuine, and it just feels as though you are honestly talking with this innocent little puppy-dog of a person. And in a good way. You just want to give her a giant hug and say you are just precious....

Lux is really, she's got a way of making people...or the character in my head at least want to come out and give her a giant freaking hug. Whitt has done amazingly well with this character...though she seems more human than some characters.

SlytherinSistah...seriously I haven't rp'd with Cutty but I have stalked him...and I've talked with Issy, and well...she's just awesome right? Am I RIGHT? And seriously Cutty and his wonderfully dynamic ways has almost....almost converted me into a Slytherin....seriously. I just love the way that he is written for one thing. And well, creativity man! Creativity is BOSS....well its amazing right? Yep.

I have another warm fuzzie!!! *flails* This one is for the lovely Laila AKA Magical Soul for her mesmerizing character, Everard Peverell. (Disclaimer: I was a fan of this character before Andrew Scott took over my life.) Deliciously evil characters are my absolute favourite kind of characters (it's worrying actually) and Everard is definitely the closest thing to that on SS. I made up a character to throw into Knockturn Alley just to play with him, and it is honestly up there with one of my favourite RPs I've been involved in of all time. Like, whenever I saw that Laila had posted I got a fuzzy/excited feeling that I used to get years ago when I first started on SS. Hehe, I really hope I get to play around with him again because he is one of my favourites! Totally creepy, but totally endearing and I will forever stalk this evil lil nutcase, he is p e r f e c t. *claps for Laila*

*IS BACK HERE* I've been meaning to post another one of these for a while. So alas, here I am! And here I gooooo....

Samia's Noel Wallace: Okay. Not gonna lie, I die laughing at basically everything Noel does ever. He could probably just stand there and breathe and I'd still be DYING. This charrie can find something to complain about in everything and it's always hilarious. I also love the fact that he hates Hufflepuff (I LOVE HUFFLEPUFF I SWEAR) it's just so funny to read about how angry it still makes him to this day. BUT My favorite moments have got to be when all the Ravenclaws kept telling him that he was going to die because he was a Hufflepuff and how he kept on telling everyone about it. Just #cant. He's a good kid. Really. I can't wait to see what happens when he grows up OMG

feeheeheeny's Sophie Brown: Okay, okay so I kind of sort of LOVE this girl. First off, Julia's writing is always so interesting to read, I swear she could be typing up a drilling manual and it would still be glorious. I always enjoy every single thing she writes and every word seems to fit the tone of the overall mood Sophie's in. Speaking of which, Sophie Brown is only the most spunky, fun-loving but still at the same time a-total-teacher's-pet kind of girl ever. And I love every bit of that. Her relationship with Toby is soooo cute to follow and she's so cute about it *squishes* Then there's the way she loves to tease (even with the Professors) that always amuses me. I could actually go on all day because Sophie is such an amazing charrie that I LOVE stalking ahem, reading.

This one is a throwback, buuuuut Ana Banana's Sierra Greingoth: Every time I see Sarah Hyland in anything all I can think of is Sierra because she had such a distinct and unique personality that she's pretty hard to forget. So when I first started SS, I had no idea what this RPing stuff was really about much less know it now really but all I knew is that her Sierra posts were the ultimate goal. Not only did Sierra have me cracking up between calling Kurumi the 'dictionary eater' and Hufflepuffs 'puffers', but the unique writing style was enough to characterize the charrie on it's own. It was all so real and genuinely Sierra all the time. I LOVED AND WILL CONTINUE TO LOVE THIS GIRL.

Can I just be the one to say this! Zeke Anita's boy is the most adorable and fun charrie. I so enjoy stalking and interacting with him. He is just so excited and you get excited with him.

Another one that I have been enjoy since summer to stalk/read is Dot Ern's new girl. She's fun and interesting. Her thoughts and the way she handles things is so fun to read.

Though I'm applauding everyone this term. All of you deserve to be in here, because the way you are all writing your charries and the way this term has started. There is just so much to read and stalk. You are all doing such a great job!

So far, I'm really loving Meizzner's Dante Barrington. As the little brother of his former character, Prefect Nigel Barrington, he's made him feel organic to that family so that it's believable that Dante and Nigel came from the same source, but Dante is definitely his own man and stands apart from Nigel. It's always amazing to see it when people do this and don't immediately opt for exact opposite or carbon copy (I've done this one! ).


Would now be a good time to say that I am in love with Ruby Banner? Tegz is often so authentic with her characters that I swear I've met them before. This one I think I've met in real life as she feels like a younger version of a member of my family. From her clothes stealing, make up wearing, party girl playlist listening this little girl rings true to that era in life where you swear you're a woman but everyone keeps reminding you you're a girl. I will probably go on about this character in future terms as she develops, cause all I'm saying here is superficial and I know Ruby will have layers (which I am a fan of) to speak of.

I want to point out that I enjoy reading and playing with literally everyone here on SS, BUT I'm a fan of comedic writers and I adore those who can pull it off.

SO. My warm fuzzies go to BanaBatGirl a.k.a Ro-la Whose charries are so lovable and hilarious I dare you to keep a straight face when you play with ANY of them. Even when they are in a sad/drama-ful situation, somehow she always manages to make it seem touching and funny opposed to the typical overdramatic and sappy. I LOVE that! That is entertainment right there.

ALSO, to Kaos.Doodles a.k.a Dani who also writes and plays in a comedic way, and I want to stress that she played grumpy, evil Dash Scabior and successfully made him lovable SS-wide despite his utter nonchalance to the existence of other human beings. That's also something I LOVE; when people manage to write about rude, mean characters in a way that make it impossible not to love them.

There are honestly WAY too many people that I could gush about in here. Seriously. Every single member on SS brings something unique to the table and there are countless memorable characters. But one person in particular I would like to shower with love right now is griffin and her current school character Penelope Wright.

When she first joined the school RP, she really threw herself into the mix and - something that I certainly failed miserably to do when I was new to SS - was NOT afraid of making IC character mistakes. She allows Penelope to be Penelope even if it may hinder her participation in a class activity or other interactions while at the same time can find ways to work around Penelope's faults to have whatever success she achieves make complete sense IC.

Penelope is endearingly quirky, with many faults, and is just a very intrsesting character to interact with. I have absolutely LOVED every single time Penelope and Airey have interacted, so thank you for the building blocks for making such a fun and unique student-professor relationship!

I wanna give props and love to Norah Kittredge, better known as Sararara. I've never talked with her...which is unfortunate and sad because she seems like a total sweetheart.

Anywaaaaaay, Norah is being super cute at the fireworks show....and it just makes me smile. So, there.

I think Penelope Wright aka griffin is an amazing student/roleplayer. Penelope is a character with so much emotional depth. When my character is interacting with hers, it makes roleplaying so very enjoyable and easier.

I also wish to single out the amazing Professor Airey Flamsteed played by the fabulous sweetpinkpixie. I enjoy the moments we've roleplayed together. When Flamsteed became Hookstead, it was tremendous fun to watch the chaos unfold during that particular lesson. It just added to an already vibrant personality.

Hi. I've been pretty absent for a while, so most of you don't even know me, but I'm gonna throw it pretty far back and say that I absolutely LOVED Nabiya's Professor Blaylock. That woman was SO hilariously spacey and eccentric. She's one of my first memories of being here on SS - and naturally, her classroom caught fire (in DIVINATION - and she really showed me all the fun, crazy things you can do with a character. Once I saw that, I learned to stop playing another version of myself on here and to inject all sorts of personality.

There are a ton more that I would love to highlight, but they're all super old so I'll just leave it to this one for now. Keep having fun, y'all! *waves*

WOO! I'm back here with more love for people!

First i want to send some light on Bazinga for her first Character Minerva Mccarthy (nee Wheatborn) Not only is she my first characters Best Friend but Min is so flawed in so many obvious and non obvious ways. I literally find myself stalking her all the time just so i can get to know her more than i already do. Minerva was a loving hufflepuff who always has and still does but everyone else's needs before her own and who has more problems then i think anyone realizes and yet she still smiles and that takes some courage. Hats off to you, Min!

And Also i want to shed some light on is EmJay for her boy Ethan McCarthy Not only is he the cutest dad ever but he's also so in love with Min and it shows in every post written on him. (Can you tel ive been stalking the both of them) Ethan was also a fun character to read in school and his passion for herbology was never unnoticed while there and now he does it for a living! pretty cool, huh?

Go stalk these lovebirds and their little family because honestly the cute is overwhelming!

I LOVE ZANDER ADAIR SO MUCH. He is a lovely character played by Ariana aka ArianaBlack. Most adorkable Gryffindor male EVER. I just want to snug him and feed him bread.

That little snake. Phyre (BluePhyre) is SO GOOD at writing this boy, it's amazing. Her posts are always LONG and BEAUTIFUL with prose like a poet. Plus, Casper's sarcasm is kind of my favorite thing.

ALSO. Emi and Lili (swaEET and woodslittleflower) play twins, Hallie and CB, and they both have similar yet distinctive personalities. While CB is starting to find friends, Hallie sticks by Casper, (and also sucks up to people which is HILARIOUS).

These three RPers are AMAZING. Kudos to them.

I'd like to bring light to one that is actually leaving Hogwarts soon.. Jasmine (Daydramer11) She is the sweetest charrie. She is always around and so helpful, but doesn't try to be the center either. I just find her so adorable and sweet.

Also Cinnamon Bayless (Saraie) I just love Cinnamon, and it's not just because she puts up with Bart which I still don't understand how or why She has her ups and downs and is such a teenage girl. The teenage girl drama is brought out with her and Sarah does such a great job making her realistic.

There are so many great characters and writers on SS that I don't have the patience to mark them ALL. So, here. A small, small smackeral.

1.) Lemon's Alice Fischer. I like the fact that she knows what she likes and doesn't like, and she doesn't tend to let the opinions of others dictate how she is going to do something or whether or not she will do something. I feel like she is true to herself when sometimes other characters can be inclined to do/say whatever may be in vogue.

2.) This next one is not so much one character in particular, but rather just the writing style of noodles (Katie). I am a horrible stalker most days, but I do love to stumble across her posts. They can be so clever and humorous. Basically, she'll have these one-liners, strings of words, or a just a way of describing something that just pretty much makes you go 'damn, why couldn't I manage to word it that way?'

3.) This last one goes out to whoever (although I thiiiiink I know ) played that interim Arithmancy professor who spE11ed th1ng5 l1ke th1s and stuff and made everyone grow a beard that one class. OMG. I loved RPing in that class. So fun.

HELLOOOO I JUST FOUND THIS AND I LOVE THIS *clears throat*

I have to say, I LOVED Anna Banana's one term charrie LouAnn Purple. She was just so...NOT what you would expect Anna to play but she nailed it. She got so super creative with her, and even though she was only her charrie for one term, she got way into the background story and made her a complete change from her first character and really showed her RP chops. So it's not surprising she got staffed the next term!

Ruby Banner played by Tegz is another fav right now. She is so BAM IN YOUR FACE I totally love it and playing with her whenever she's playing Ruby is an absolute blast. Also, I've never actually RPed with this person, but stalking Ruby's brother Gabriel Banner by Govoni is another awesome one and I can't wait to RP with himmmmmmmm!

Modred's charrie Ethan is also fantastic. Not only is he a great prefect (both IC and OOC!) but he is a very creative RPer and gives it everything he's got in every single post. I LOVE reading everything Ethan does because it's hysterical/just downright entertaining!

Finally, not a term goes by when I don't miss Droo and her ever fabulous Hecate Lafay as Head of House. Of course our newest HoH and Potions Master are AWESOMEEEE, but Droo makes such blunt charries, it's so much fun to RP with them because I personally never know how they're going to react!

Quite honestly I have a TON of characters that I LOVE, both past and present. I can't even think of all of them right now but you all know I love each and every one of you, keep being AWESOMEEEE!

Reading through this thread is so cool. I'm just like "OMG YES!" about most of the characters/RPers mentioned in here. I think there's just so many amazing people with amazing characters on this site. I believe my comments are gonna be more about the RPers than the characters as such but then again the two go hand in hand somehow.


1. First off I want to say how I impressed I am with the The Dead Kneazles. So, Tegz (West Odessa), Govoni (Vesper Bayliss), Meizzner (Nigel Barrington) and fanficfanatic (Ascanius Stark). I just think it's so amazing how much work and effort and planning they put into this and how detailed their posts (especially for performances/practices/etc.) are. This is just something I, personally, could not do. Which is probably also why I think it's just so impressive. So kudos to you guys.

2. Katie (noodles). I know she's been mentioned before but her characters are just so versatile and unique. I'm especially impressed by how well she does different accents. I have no idea how she does it but they're always spot-on. You can even see small differences in the way her characters speak even if they DON'T have a 'strong' accent. It's just amazing.

3. Ascanius Stark (fanficfanatic). I know, I know, I've already mentioned Taylor in this post. But I felt the need to say again how awesome I think Ascanius is. He has so many layers and I love stalking him. Also Taylor's writing style is just SO good. I love reading her posts in general.


The longer I think on it the more characters come to mind (I'm probably gonna edit this post and/or post again). But lastly, I just want to mention Gemma's (Waterloo) professor character Mildred Pilliwickle again. I don't think she was around for that long but I just remember that I thought she was hilarious. She was just something else and very grandmother-y. I love when people have completely different characters.
