Here at the Leaky Cauldron things can get pretty busy, and, for Phro, this is exactly the case. For this purpose, she kept the changes made by Louisa so that customers may come to the counter to place their orders, which keeps the chaos down and keeps things less hectic for the busy workers and their customers.
In the center of the room sits the baby of the Leaky Cauldron - baby grand piano that is. It is not unusual to enter the Leaky Cauldron and see costumers playing away at the piano. However, this piano is widely special, even for the Wizarding World. Years ago, Ryoma Shiradou, the former owner, built it by hand and therefore as one plays each key the ivory gives off a little puff of colored smoke that rises up into the air and form shapes that begin to tell a story to the music.
Off to the side of the room, a cozy fireplace and seating area can be found for those looking to relax a bit before heading off to the busy shops of Diagon Alley. At various times throughout the day, Phro will come by and give Tarot card readings.
OOC: The piano is free for all to use so have fun with that and enjoy yourself. Also, please remember that the shopkeeper does NOT take orders at the tables.
And a very IMPORTANT warning. Please please PLEASE make sure you have read all SS rules - especially those involving drinking. There will be a zero tolerance policy in regards to this rule.

Olly was taking longer than Esme was expecting him to. She had figured that by the time their orders were delivered he would be here. Hopefully that would still be the case, but she had no idea what was holding him up at his meeting. Still, she waited patiently, knowing that there was a good reason for her husband to be late.
As she waited, she pulled out a magazine and started to look through it.
And there he was! With flowers too! That was a lovely surprise. "They're perfect. Thank you so much, babe." She had really lucked out in having the best husband ever. "It's okay! I knew there was a good reason you'd be late." She happily took the flowers from him and waited for him to take a seat.
"I already put in our orders." And hopefully their food would be ready soon.

His darling Esme would be right: there is no way that he would ever be late to a date with her on purpose. It had never happened when they were dating, nor would it ever happen now or in the future. One of Esme’s best traits? She was always patient with him, and for that, he would forever be grateful.
He was almost sorry to intrude on her reading but… sorry, magazine! It was his time with the prettiest lady in the world! “Anything for you,’’ Olly remarked sincerely, leaning in to kiss her cheek. Their order was already placed? “Why am I not surprised you thought ahead?” Smiling, the artist straightened up. “You sit right there. I’ll go check on that order.”
It only took Olly a couple of minutes to confirm their order was ready at the counter so it seemed like he was gone for no time. He returned, balancing their foods and beverages on a tray which was set in the middle of his and Esme’s table. Only then did he slide into the seat across from her. “How has the day been going so far for you?” This man was always interested in hearing about her day!

Esme grinned at her husband. She loved him so much! She put her magazine in her bag, ready to spend time with Olly. ”Same for you, my love!” Which he knew, but she wanted to say anyway. She happily accepted the cheek kiss before giving him a kiss herself. She giggled. ”I was hungry and feeling impatient.” And it worked out for them. She nodded and waited for him to check on the food.
It only took a couple minutes for him to return with their order. ”Finally!” Esme immediately began eating her fries. She definitely inherited her dad’s appetite. She loved her food! ”Oh, it’s been well! Everything went great with the clients, and it’s always wonderful to be with the horses. How about yours? Did you work things out with the potential client?” She figured that was likely the case, which would explain why he was late.

Oh, yes.
Oliver knew this. The pair was always on the same page when it came to each other. It was one of those traits that he greatly admired, and one that definitely made their marriage work. “Now you have to feel neither.” Once more, he felt a tad guilty for making Esme wait.
There was one thing for certain though - Olly loved how happy the food made her. In turn, he felt the same. He chuckled, watching his wife dig in. It had always been this way, Esme with her healthy appetite. For that reason, Oliver always made sure to have their house really stocked with food and snacks. “That’s not surprising to hear,” he remarked, a hint of pride in his voice as he pulled apart his sandwich. “Will any new horses join the group any time soon?” A piece of lettuce was slipped into his mouth. He nodded as he chewed. Once done, Olly spoke up. “All went excellently! He wants me for the job, so I’ll start working on his family’s portrait tomorrow.” Wasn’t it just exciting how both the jobs were still going strong.

Esme smiled at her husband full of love. ”I don’t. Now I have you and beautiful flowers and delicious food.” She was definitely winning, especially in terms of having him.
The food really was good though.
She grinned as he chuckled at how much she was enjoying it. He knew how much she loved food, and did all he could to make her happy in that way. She really appreciated it. And returned the favour with things that made him happy. Like buying him stuff in black. ”I couldn’t have a better job.” She really loved doing magical horse therapy. ”Yep! My mom has some that she’s going to send over really soon.” Esme was excited. Her mother being a horse breeder and her father helping out, made things so much easier in terms of getting new horses. And things were going great for Olly too, which made her really happy. ”That’s wonderful! I was sure that you would get hired. We will need to celebrate.” They could do whatever he wanted to.

Oliver would not deny that: Esme was indeed winning. And so was he. They always won when it came to their relationship, didn’t they? Olly honestly did not know how he got so lucky that Esme had even fallen for him. Back then he had been somewhat of a nerd, with a hint of shyness. The current version of him was less of both but fortunately, Esme loved him just as much as the previous version.
“I know, and you’re the best there is in the business, Esme.” Olly enjoyed watching the wife with the horses; she was such a natural with them. “How exciting! Will it be an adult one, or a foal? Either way, I’d love to meet him or her!” There was a pause from him as Esme spoke and he listened while taking a few more bites. “We should. Do you have anything in mind? We could probably pull the kids in for the celebration too.” Hopefully Emmett and Olivia would not have a busy schedule.

This was far from the first time Olly has complimented her like this, but it still made Esme blush. It made her blush every time. ”And you are also the best in the business. No one else is a match for us.” Was she being silly? Maybe. But it was also true that Olly was the best at what he did. And she was so proud of him.
She nodded happily. She was always excited whenever they got new horses for her to work with. ”Well, we have an adult Pegasus coming in a few days. And in a few weeks we will have a Unicorn foal.” And Esme loved Unicorns. She was always especially happy when getting Unicorns. ”After that we will see. I’m sure they will love to meet you.” And Unicorn foals were so cute!
She smiled and ate some more fries. ”We can do whatever you want to do. Since it’s for you. And I’m sure the kids will be happy to celebrate with us.”

Just when he thought that his day couldn’t get any brighter, Esme proved him wrong! She usually melted his heart, and it was safe to say that the blushing that she did brought forth the same reaction. It never got old; he doubted it ever would. “We make quite the team, my love.” And they always will; this was something else the man was certain of with the depths of his soul.
With Esme chattering away, this gave Oilver the perfect opportunity to continue eating. The food was delicious but he spent most of the time being attentive to his wife rather than paying too close attention to what was on his plate. The man had never been very much into horses or unicorns; not until he began dating Esme, that is. “A horse and a unicorn! That’s wonderful!” There was a playful grin from him. “This does not mean you’ll be living extensively at the stables, Esme.”
For him? Did she already forget that whatever they did, they did as a team? “It’s for you too, to celebrate you new four legged friends. I’ll reach out to the kids when we get home. Is there anywhere else you need to stop at before then?”

Esme grinned and reached across the table to squeeze her husband's hand. "The best team ever." And they had been for a very long time. Since Hogwarts. Since before they even got together. And they would continue to for a long time from now. For always.
Fries mostly finished, Esme picked up her burger and started eating it. While still keeping her attention focused on Olly, of course. She grinned at his enthusiasm, truly appreciating how much happiness he showed when it came to her work even if he didn't care about horses and unicorns anywhere as much as she did. He was the most supportive husband ever. Though his next comment got a laugh. "And here I thought it gave me the perfect excuse to never be at home," she teased back.
Esme nodded. She felt that he deserved the celebration more than her. But she also knew that they were a team. She was just happy to celebrate with him and the kids. "That sounds great. I don't think there is anymore shopping that I need to do. So we can leave after we eat. Unless I remember something I forgot to get." Esme tried to think of anything she may have missed. "Oooh we could get some ice cream for us and the kids." She was sure that Liv and Em would like that.

Olly rubbed his thumb over Esme’s knuckles as she squeezed his hand. A forever team is what they are indeed! But looking at Esme’s plate now, he was reminded about the healthy appetite she possessed. “Do you need more fries and another burger, my love?” There was no judgement, just the pure offer to get her extra food. He too then busied himself with consuming his food but couldn’t help the hearty chuckle which escaped him. “I knew it! But if that would make you happier, I’ll shift all your belongings over there.” He was simply joking, of course, as Olly knew Esme would not want to leave him behind.
The man admired Esme’s facial features as she spoke and then thought about having any additional stops to make. Truly, there was a great joy that came with both. Did he mention he was quite willing to follow her wherever she went, today and always? “We can make a stop at Florean’s then,’’ he said, adding it to his mental list of one. “I could go for butterbeer flavour topped with sour gummy worms.” That was a great way to balance out the sweet and savoury flavours.

Greer needed a break from her mother. They were out shopping all day for the next school year, and her mother being muggle and even after 6 years of doing this still needed or rather wanted to see everything. Yes magic is real, yes magic is cool, but Dear Merlin, Greer couldn't stand the constant oos and ahhs any longer. She decided to catch a butter beer at the Leaky by herself for a few moments. She was certain she would see classmates, but she was never good at remembering names or making friends. She prefered her books, and that's just what she brought with her as well.
After ordering her butter beer, and finding an empty table, she pulled out the latest novel and began to read. Sipping occasionaly and enjoying the silience.

Levi actually needed some time away from… his older sister. Sometimes, being in her presence was overwhelming as he couldn’t always figure out if she wanted to be in his company or not. So, after getting his dads’ permission, he had slipped off to The Leaky Cauldron. Of course, his parents were nearby, not only keeping an eye out for him but also grabbing lunch for the family of four. It always gave him a warm, glowy feeling watching Papa Sachin take care of Papa Conley. If ever love was written in the fates for him, and Aunty Winnie claimed that it was, he hoped that it would be a love like theirs.
Most of the seats were occupied but since he wouldn’t be lingering for long, he approached one of the near empty ones, one that had a girl seated there. She was reading a book and the almost-twelve-year-old loathed to disturb her. But it would be rude to sit without permission. What if she was keeping a seat for someone?
So, he gently reached out to tap her on the shoulder before pointing to a vacant seat. Could he sit?

A stop at the Leaky Cauldron was very much needed.
Lio had not been to this pub in several months, and a part of him had missed it. This place had been a favorite of his in the summers between Hogwarts terms, ordering some tea and one of the many delicious sandwiches or entrees, spending time with friends, and just enjoying the summer time. It had been a fun yet relaxing way to pass the time.
Of course, there were many other ways to relax as well, but recently he had been drawn to returning to the Leaky Cauldron. Perhaps it was the realization that it had been ten years since he had graduated from Hogwarts that led to nostalgia washing over him like a wave. He didn't necessarily long for the school itself, and he was more than happy with his life of playing Quidditch now. But there was something special about that time, despite the dark cloud that was the events and aftermath of his third year, that persisted in his memory.
And so Lio pushed his sunglasses atop his head as he entered the Leaky Cauldron. Luckily, it did not seem to be very busy at this present hour; there were a few patrons scattered about, sitting at various tables or at the counter, but there were still plenty of empty tables available.
Lio put in his order for tea, and it wasn't long before he had it in hand and brought it back to a table. He hadn't decided what he wanted to eat yet, so that would come later. First, he wanted to relax with his tea.
He took a careful sip since it was still hot... Mmm. Perfect.

Greer felt an ever so slight tap on the shoulder. It took ever fiber of her being not to roll her eyes, fully expecting it to be her mother. "I just needed 5 minuets" She said before bringing her eyes up from her book. "Whoops! Sorry about that, I thought you were my Mum." She fixed her face took a quick look around seeing no other place really for the boy to sit and smiled gesturing with her hand. "Please do!" She said.
Trying to gage the age or year or maybe not?? Was he from Hogwarts, Greer was trying to remember if she had seen him before, he looked rather young maybe he was a first year? I'm Greer by the way. Ravenclaw, 6th year" There best to get introduction out of the way, and hopefully she hadn't met him in passing ... or worse in her own house and she never noticed him in the common room. Did she mention she really prefers books to humans?

The reaction on Levi’s part was immediate and it was one of him wincing. See? He knew he shouldn’t have disturbed the girl. He just thought that it might have been a good idea since she had a familiar face from Hogwarts. But then she cleared the air which led to the boy breathing a soft sigh of relief.
He smiled before taking a seat. “Thank you,’’ he said in his soft voice. Levi took a moment to focus on the aromas wafting through the place, a method he used to help keep him grounded when he felt any sort of anxiety. And he had felt a bit of that when he thought he had disturbed the girl. There was tea, fried tomatoes, pumpkin pie… so much deliciousness! It was enough to make his stomach give a small rumble.
“Hi, Greer.” Levi returned his attention to her. “I’ve seen you at Hogwarts. I’m Levi, and I’ll be a second year Hufflepuff in the new school year.” He paused, considering a question that piqued his curiosity. “Is your mum giving you a difficult time?”

Taking a moment to look at the boys face. You really aren't distrubing me I promse, my mom is muggle see, and everything about magic is still in the oo and ahh phase you know? Sometimes I just need a break" She set her book down to give him her full attention. "Well Hufflepuff is cool to - though not as cool as Ravenclaw" She said smiling and giving him a wink. Greer felt a little bad not remembering seeing him around school. But to be fair she didn't remember much of anyone. She didn't need friends really just her books.
"She doesn't give me so much a hard time - just exhausting to be around at times. But I love her! She's truly the best Mum" Greer didn't want it to sound like she didn't like her mom, that was not at all the case! She was her best friend really. "What about you? Are you out and about by yourself?" Greer wasn't sure when kids did that? How old did you have to be to be alone? To shop alone? Did he carry his own money? Man .. she was so out of touch.

The added reassurance did wonders for Levi. Now it felt like there wasn’t a big uncertain weight resting on his young shoulders. He truly appreciated the girl’s words. The way she described her mother’s awe over the magical world made him laugh. Not much to be impolite but just enough that would reassure his companion that he was relaxed now. “I’m sorry but I wouldn’t know what that’s like. My papas are both wizards. I imagine your mum’s just bursting with curiosity and excitement.” So yes, Levi could understand the need for a break. He broke into a smile. “Oh really? Hufflepuffs get to be near the kitchen, which means no long trek if we get hungry.” Not that he was saying Ravenclaws were bad; each House was wonderful in their own way.
The second year had never felt that he missed out on having a mother, not when his papas loved him so much and always took care of him and Radhika. “Is she helping you with your shopping then? My papas and my older sister are helping with mine. I needed a break from her, which is why I got away. My papas are getting us some food though.” Levi tilted his head and nodded towards the book. “What’s it about?”

Mmm. Perfect.
Maggie had only meant to stop in for a minute.
The Leaky Cauldron felt familiar the moment she stepped inside, warm wood, low chatter, the kind of place that remembered people. She offered a quick smile towards the bar, caught a curious glance or two, and then her attention snagged.
Oh.
That made sense.
Sunglasses pushed into his hair, tea in hand, posture relaxed in a way that spoke of someone used to being noticed and choosing not to care. Quidditch players always carried themselves like that. Jasper had, once. The thought tugged a knowing curve at her mouth.
She adjusted the strap of her bag, not nerves, just intention, and crossed the room, aware of the subtle looks that followed her. She didn’t rush. Didn’t pretend not to notice.
Stopping beside his table, Maggie tilted her head slightly, eyes flicking over him before meeting his gaze, warm and openly curious. “Please tell me I’m not interrupting something profound,” she said lightly, gesturing to his tea. “Because I’d hate to ruin a perfectly good moment of brooding.”
Her thumb hooked toward the empty chair, already half-claiming it. “I was only stopping in for a drink,” she added, smile slow, “but it feels a bit silly to pretend I didn’t see you.” Letting out an amused smirk at the thought. “So, mind if I join you, Lio? Or should we sit apart and let the room speculate?”

Lost in thought and the scent of the tea, Lio's attention was diverted away from noticing the people coming and going, so there was a blink of surprise when a voice spoke next to his table. The brief surprise quickly morphed into a smile when he recognized who it was.
Jasper's little sister, Margaret. A pleasant surprise.
"You know me, always love a moment to brood," he replied, his tone teasing. He was hardly the brooding type, at least in his own opinion.
Well - except about his feelings for Emma, he supposed. But even then, he didn't think he brooded, he just...er, couldn't think of the word for it. But there was one, surely. Heh.
His expression matched the amusement on hers. "Well, I imagine the room will speculate whether we sit together or apart," he answered, "so I'd say we might as well have a drink together. Far more fun that way." Though he had come here with the intention of alone time, he wouldn't mind her company.

Maggie’s smile widened, something warm and genuine settling in when his surprise gave way to amusement. "Good," she said, pleased. “I’d hate to interrupt a perfectly respectable brood only to be sent away."
She slid into the empty chair without ceremony, setting her bag at her feet and angling herself toward him, posture relaxed but attentive. There was an ease to the way she settled in, like she belonged there just as much as he did, and perhaps knew it.
“As for the room speculating,” Maggie added, glancing around briefly before returning her gaze to him, eyes bright, “I think they’d be disappointed if we didn’t give them something to talk about.”
Her attention flicked to his tea, curiosity softening her expression.
“So,” she continued, tone light but interested, “what brings you in today? Nostalgia? Thirst? Or are you just trying to avoid being anywhere you’re expected to be?”

A small, teasing smile tugged at her lips.
“Because I can respect all three.”
"Quite the tragedy that would be," Lio teased. What was the point of interrupting if the end result was being sent away, after all? That would be no fun.
Maggie's next reply drew a chuckle from him. "And we can't disappoint the people." Merlin forbid they disappoint the randomly assorted people in the pub. That, too, would be quite a tragedy.
Lio took another sip of tea and set the mug down before he replied. "Nostalgia mostly. I haven't visited this place in awhile, so it seemed like a good time to stop by." Which, in some way, perhaps meant that all of her suggestions were true to some extent, though he wouldn't include them in his original intent for coming here.
"What about you? Any particular reason you decided to visit as well?" he asked.
