All is not what it seems in the shadows of paradise…
This RP takes place in Fincayra, the enchanted isle that lies between earth and sky where Trees talk, Rivers roar, and Winds whisper secrets of the land as well as where the known Wizard Merlin had lived his young adult life and some adult years. Before he left the land to face his destiny Merlin defeated the evil king of Fincayra and brought an end to most of the warlord spirit of the land Rhita Gwar’s, trickery. All the ancient races have disappeared all except for the deer people (Humans that can change into deer when they reach running speed) and humans of that land whose ears are shaped like elves ears. It was years since any wizard or witch had set foot there and now three wizards and three witches are washed onto the shores of the enchanted isle after the yacht they had been vacationing on off the shores of Wales, floated into a thick mist overnight. There however Rhita Gwar has been trying to take over Fincayra again. According to an old Prophecy the second time Rhita Gwar attempts this, a group of six consisting of Three Witches and Three Wizards would come to rescue the people of Fincayra. They are here now will they succeed or shall they die a heroic death that none shall ever hear of, for then it shall be a time when bards can no longer sing the songs of old, when the ancient clans of the dear people will no longer roam the woodlands, nor dwarves shall continue their art, nad no longer shall Fincayarans fly, less they all be saved and wings returned unleashed from the savage curse.
~Characters~

Personality: Not much has changed with Ally during the five years that she has attended home schooling. She's still pretty much the same girl, a feminist are the best times, sweet and caring, just a lot taller a slightly wiser. She's very down to earth, as well as loves to help people, whether she's able to or not. She's kindhearted and strong, both mind and body. If she likes you and thinks you're a good person... it'll definitely show. Ally will treat you as if she's known you her entire life, but yet she is still extremely cautious.Something her parents taught her when she was young. She has to always have her guard up, but yet not show it.
Although her outward appearance may seem all cool, things may be messed up inside. Ally dislikes showing her hurt and her vulnerable side, always keeping it bottled up inside. She's stubborn, has pride, and independent. But the loneliness always catches up to her and bites her in the behind.
Despite all the things that nag at her, Ally's a cheerful girl and always tries to keep up a happy atmosphere. She finds comfort in settling in with a good book to read. Ally also soothes herself by singing songs her mother once taught her. She enjoys a good joke every now and then and loves to sketch for pleasure.
Ally tries to keep an open mind towards everyone that she meets and tries to keep a positive attitude. She can't help but attempt to see the good side of the people around her, yet keeping her distance between them. Although Ally's friendly, there's a thin line between people that she truly trusts and people that haven't crossed it.
Although Ally will never admit it, she holds a slight dislike for the Deer people. It wasn’t really anything that they did, despite their unpleasant attitude towards her and her people. But it was just something about them that triggered something in Ally to cause her to dislike them. But she’s hoping that her opinion will change on them.
One important thing you have to know about Ally, is that she doesn't believe in this thing you call 'LOVE'. She believes it's all fake and will only end up in pain and tears, especially after personal experience. In which she calls a 'detour in life'. There's many secrets that Ally hasn't told anyone and probably won't until they prove worthy of her trust.
History: Ally’s mother, who’s named was Teslena, was young when she first met Ally’s father, a name unknown. It was ‘love’ at first sight between the two. Teslena was a famous singer of the time. At that time, Ally’s father had now passed to be a home school tutor. One of his passions outside of work was classical music, which was how the two met. Also the ‘doom’ of her mother’s life, according to Ally.
Ally’s father immediately fell in love with her mother after listening to her music, and the two met up at a party that followed up afterward. After some poor choices and judgment, Teslena was soon with child, which scared Ally’s father immensely. As much as he loved Tes, his love for her wasn’t strong enough for him to give up his ‘bachelor life’. Yet he didn’t have the guts to leave Tes quite yet… but marrying her wasn’t a choice. So nine months passed by, the couple had traveled back to there home town, and Ally was born. Unable to deal with it all anymore, Ally’s father split and left the two of them.
Tes who had been devastated, found it difficult to continue on with life. She left Ally on the doorstep of the Queen to be, leaving a letter explaining everything (except for including her father's name) in Ally’s hands… (Harry Potter style). Never did she ever appear again in Ally’s life.
At the age of 11, Ally discovered something truely remarkable. She was able to levitate objects, from a very near distance. She told no one.Accept the Queen to be when she was a youngester. She was able to move a number of small objects, but her abilities got stronger as she went along.

Oh Em Gee. Is there still room available in the RP? If not, I'm going to cry. The Lost Years of Merlin Series are the reason I grew up wanting to write books.

These are my active characters in the Hogwarts and Ministry RPGs. Drop me a line if you'd like to interact with either of them.
History:
Jon is an only child and his mother left home before he reached two. Jon has no memories of his mother, and his father keeps no pictures or evidence that she ever existed around the house. Jon doesn't know exactly what happened, and he doesn't like to question his father, as he knows it hurts him to talk about it. But what he does know is that, in the words of his father, his mother left for a more glamorous lifestyle.
Despite this, Jon grew up in a very normal household and had a fairly happy childhood. He and his father grew to be very close and would do anything for each other.
Personality:
Jon is a very laid back person, it takes a lot to anger him. He doesn't take petty things too seriously as he believes that life is too short and valuable to waste. He's fairly easy to get along with, a very loyal friend. He would rather take the blame for his friends, than stand by and watch them get punished for something, even if it was their fault. He's very noble and has a good sense of humour. He's very kind and caring. He's a very motivated person and once his mind is set on something, he will go out of his way to do it.
His flaws are that he can be a bit clumsy at times, he's always the one to spill a drink at dinner or trip over his own shoe laces. Though strangely enough he's never broken a bone in his life.
As soon as we have all the main spots filled out. Because the story starts when the heroes wash onshore. I'll be posting the first post and will PM everyone before I do so ^-^

Hair: Dirty Blonde
Eyes: Brown
Height: 6’2’’
Body Build: Lean muscled, polo team build
Parents: Henry and Olivia Flint
Siblings: Cassandra Flint (6)
History: Dozer comes from a hard working wizarding family. His mother is a well known potioneer, who works freelance and is starting her own business. While his father works for the ministry as a liaison to the Irish, Bulgarian, and Muggle Ministries. Henry hopes to one day be made Minister himself and has high hopes that his son will follow in his footsteps. Dozer enjoys politics quite a bit; however he aspires of becoming the next big Quidditch Chaser. His father doesn’t quite see the allure of an athletic future and is hoping to steer his wayward son away from such endeavors. Their family travels in the highest of social circles and attends all of the high end shindigs. Little Cassandra enjoys life as the baby. The Flint family gets along well or about as well as any family gets along these days.
Personality: Dozer isn’t your typical bad boy, though for many that is all he seems to be. Reserved and quiet, for the most part, he prefers to keep a certain mysterious air to his actions and thoughts. He tends to attract many girls with his good looks and easy charm, but he aims to find someone who can keep pace with him. Dozer loves a good challenge and is always looking for his next big project. Quidditch is a big deal in his life and that won’t change any time soon. While he projects that he doesn’t really care about anything or anyone, if you mess with his friends things will get ugly. Dozer doesn’t get jealous (at least he won’t admit it) and he does have a bit of a temper, when you burn down his exceptionally long fuse.
SPOILER!!: Layla Rowan
Name: Layla Amelia Rowan
Age: 21
Species: Deer shifter
Clan: Unknown/Not Available
Parents:
-Father: Left when she was young, location and identity unknown (not like she cares anyway)
- Mother: Peyton Rowan; deceased (murdered more like)
Background: Layla was born into a broken home though her mother tried early on to make up for what was missing. Peyton Rowan fell in love with a mysterious man from a neighboring clan and the two were quickly married. However, the happy union was short lived. When Peyton found out she was pregnant she told her husband expecting a happy celebration, instead she was greeted with his furious anger and icy scorn. He left her that night without a word or a backwards glance and has never been heard from again. Peyton refused from that heartbreaking night to expose her daughter to the awful truth, at least not all of it. Layla guessed at an early age that he had left them but her stubborn mother kept his name a secret, one she took to her grave.
Layla and her mother lived out a happy life until the summer she turned 13. Peyton’s mother was killed by a human hunter while the two were running through the forest in their deer forms. Layla saw everything, was witness as the hunter came upon his kill and field dressed it. From that moment on a fierce and burning hatred bloomed within Layla and her innocence died in its intense flames.
Layla couldn’t stand to be in the house she had shared with her mother so she packed up everything that was useful and left the village. After a couple months of wandering she found a nice isolated place not far from the main town of her people. She only goes into town from time to time, preferring to stay by herself.
Personality: Layla is an extremely independent and strong willed woman. She doesn’t suffer idiots or fools and has no qualms about speaking her mind. There are few people who can get past her gruff exterior and she prefers to keep it that way. Layla is a deeply troubled individual. Her mother meant everything to her and since her death she had been quiet and reserved. Keeping her emotions mostly to herself she is adept at reading others, a trait she has put to good use. She doesn’t suffer fools, and considers kindness and forgivness weaknesses. Her demeanor is always calm and collected but she does have a temper, once ignited will show the true depth of her cruelty and rage.
Abilities: Layla developed a deep connection with nature and the animals within it. She can often read animals and sense their intentions as well as send them impressions allowing her to communicate with them.
OMG!!! totally did not mean to miss your post you edited them in so I kinda missed them Love them though!!!! thank you so much for sticking to the plot for the Deer person ^-^

How's this?
Name: Rhoden Felen
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Picture:
-Hair: Short, dark brown
-Eyes: Storm-gray
-Height: 5'9"
-Weight: 140lbs
Personality: Rhoden is a one-chance kind of guy. If you screw up with him, he's done with you. He might brood about it for about a minute, but he moves on. Loyalty is extraordinarily important to him and there is no excuse good enough to turn away from a friend. On a similar note, Rhoden's loyalty is very hard to earn. He doesn't like giving up on people and walking away from them, so he doesn't enter into many situations where that might be the case somewhere along the line.
Rhoden doesn't joke very often and he's slow to speak, often considering his words very carefully before he uses them. In his experience, speaking without thinking has gotten him into a lot of trouble.
History: Rhoden was orphaned by hunters when he was an infant and the herd took him in and raised him until he was ten years old. When he was ten, he was found by a Fincayran couple who couldn't have children. The couple earned his trust very slowly, but when they finally did, Rhoden spent almost every day in their care. He never called them anything other than their names, and they weren't allowed to call him a son, but they functioned much as a family would. When his herd found out about this, they became furious with Rhoden, then 15. They banished him from the herd forever.
Now that the Fincayrans, humans and Deer are working together, Rhoden is helping, but he still wants nothing to do with the herd that banished him for wanting a taste of a real family life. Any interaction his people have with him during these times are found to be cold and impossibly short-lived.

Love the profiles guys!!! I have two more profiles to put up and then will be letting you guys know by PM when the RP starts ^-^ (which should be VERY soon)
Blood Line: Pure (though her mother’s family are muggles)
Appearance:
Height: 5'8” Hair: Light Brown Eyes: Gray blueish green
Personality: Despite her upbringing Tatiana for the most part has a down to earth personality; not to say she does not indulge in her wealthy upbringing lavishly or deny herself her families well bred connections. She takes all matters seriously and is always ten steps ahead of anything that may stand in her way. A born leader she tends to analyze her situation rather quickly but thoroughly before taking a plan of action. She treats every obstacle in life like a mission to be cleared which sometimes puts her in tight spots with what makes her comfortable and what she feels she has to or should do. She is not snobby but also isn’t a very trusting person and always has her guard up which tends to push people away from her. Tatiana is honest and straightforward and is loyal to those she cares about.
History: She grew up in a very open family in Sunninghill Ascot, England. Her father moved to England with her mother when she and her sister were young girls. Her father had branched away from the family business to set up his own in England. He now owns one the most important and influential publishing companies in the wizarding world. Growing up in a lavish environment Tatiana enjoyed many advantages in her youth and as she grew up. She led a rather rich and lively lifestyle having mingled with both her muggle and wizarding families. After graduating from Hogwarts with top marks in charms, transfiguration, potions, and DADA (she couldn’t bear herbology or care of magical creatures even though she tried she couldn’t get past average in both classes, and was an absolute wreck in runes) she decided to try out the muggle lifestyle for a couple of years and to try and take things as they come. She tried acting only to drop out after the first few weeks having found it too tiresome. Afterwards she ended up trying to dance in ballroom dance competitions only to go as far making it to the competition and bailing out because her partner had never showed up. Following these events she par-took in a few stints as a model, accountant, bank teller, secretary to magazine editors, and even tried to file an application at the UN only to give up after a year and half and jump back into the wizarding world. Deciding to take a break she looked into a few possible positions at the ministry and spends much of her time peering over pamphlets and falling back into her comfort zone of analyzing and mapping out her future so she could figure out what to do in her life having not enjoyed free styling too much though her sister who is already on her second marriage doesn’t seem to mind free styling too much.
Name: Dawn Joseph Gratis
Age: 23
D.O.B.: October 17
Race: Human/Wizard
Parents: David Gratis and Stephanie Rode
Siblings: Isabella Violetta Gratis
House: Gryffindor
Blood Line: Pure
Appearance:
Height: 6’2” Hair: Dirty Blonde Eyes: Blue-green
Personality: Dawn is a very outgoing person and is used to being the center of attention without putting too much effort into it. Always the bad boy and party boy Dawn is known on the party scene and off it as well. Though he may seem to be all brawn and no brain but in truth very much like his father Dawn is an expert in potions and DADA. Though he does lack greatly in his other subjects he’s very devoted to the first two. He doesn’t like anyone bothering his little sister and would like to always be there for her, though he doesn’t realize most of the rumors about her are true. He would defend his family and friends to his very death. The downside to all of this is that Dawn tends to have a rather big ego at times and doesn’t like to feel like his position as “the man” is being threatened (which will be bound to happen soon enough )
History: Dawn grew up in a wealthy family and though he had not intended to do so he followed in his father’s footsteps and is planning on working on a few experiments of his own once he returns home after vacationing with his sister and their friends that summer. Some he knows very well others barely. But being a very willful to his sister’s requests he agreed to take her and a few friends yachting of the shores of Ireland for the summer before heading back. He became very close to his sister especially after she joined him on the party scene. Having grown up as one of the popular boys in Hogwarts and former captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team he has never had a problem fitting in with the popular crowds. Even out of school and amongst family and friends his is very popular with his wit and charm. He has not done anything extraordinary in his life beyond the Quidditch Field and his two favorite subjects.

(ooc: note all heroes are still on the yacht they’re not in Fincayra yet)
Dawn steered the yacht out of the lagoon and began making his way into the ocean though not too far from mainland. It was a clear and sunny day a perfect day for yachting he hoped the weather would hold up knowing that his and his sister’s friends were looking forward to a good vacation. It had not started out so well considering they had lost their way getting there at first before finding out their lodging accommodations were far from comfortable for the one night they had been staying in town. He knew everyone very much like himself, were rather pleased to be away from the busy lifestyles they led and spending some time relaxing out in the open ocean for some time. He was about to kill the engine and go back up on deck and join the party when he saw the gathering clouds in the distance drawing nearer. There was no way they could make it back into mainland in time; they would have to brace the oncoming storm although he could have sworn the forecast had said nothing about it. Turning on the intercom he spoke to the six guests on deck. “Hey guys I really hate to kill the party but we have a storm approaching fast and I’m going to have to ask you to get bellow deck and to your rooms. Stay away from the living room area and the kitchen I don’t want anything falling on you guys. I’ll be down there once the worst part of the storm is over.” He could hear the groans through the door but there wasn’t much he could do as he heard them scampering to gather their things and head down below deck where not only would it be dryer but at least each would be safe in the room they were sharing with the other two people on board. The only one who had his own room on board was him but that was only because each room could fit only three occupants despite their vastness.
Tatiana sat on a lounge chair in the top most deck tanning preferring for the time being to stay clear of the pool and hot tub that some of the guests were lounging in. If Dawn, who was like a brother to her, hadn’t insisted she come along she probably would have stayed home reading the pamphlets she had brought back from the ministry. Coco Chanel glasses covering her eyes she sighed as she dropped on the pamphlets she had been reading and yawned some. It was only morning but she had had a long night at the bar the other night. Her berry red lips stretched into a small smile as she moved to get up to head on over to go make a cup of coffee only turned into a frown and a groan at Dawns announcement. Not really looking forward to being shoved back below deck she gathered her things grumbling before looking up at the horizon to see the dark brooding clouds approaching confirming Dawn’s very unexpected weather forecast. Sighing to herself she made her way down on deck before working her way down bellow and back to the girl’s room and dumped her stuff on her bed before sitting down and sighing. Since she couldn’t go to the kitchen might as well take a nap there was no point in sitting there and waiting for the storm to pass by. Getting up she began to clear her bed so she could lay on it as the other made their way down.
Ionn smiled once he was sure he was far away enough from the Bard’s village. He could now run and transform and cut his trip in half. Instead of taking two nights it would only take him one night to reach the shore of the speaking shells. Though he would have to set camp in Durma Woods before doing so. Making sure his travel sack was on securely he began to run. His long mane of hair was whipped back by the wind as his feet pounded the solid earth and he grew faster. His smile and twinkling eyes grew larger as his face lengthened and his bode arched forward his clothes began melting into his skin his neck grew longer as did his arms as they touched the ground and where there were once hands were the hooves of a proud stag. Ionn’s light brown coat shone in the dawns first rays as he gave wind to his hooves and waved his antler adorned head and ran like the wind. He could feel the life of the earth with his senses. He could hear the whispers of the soil beneath his hooves as he ran and the ants worked and toiled beneath him. He could feel the cool wind on his face as it filled him with the early morning strength and finally he could see and hear the world in a way no human can as he took in all the wonders of nature running besides the River Unceasing. It was that time of year again and he was off yet again to wait for the prophesized ones, the ones that would raise Fincayra out of its darkness and reunite the race of man and deer against the evil reign of Rhita Gwar. He could feel something very different this year as though change was in the air. His heart filled with hope and his soul free in flight he ran towards what he hoped was the answer to the prayers of the innocent ones of Fincayra.
Emrys returned from his morning rounds after checking in with his scouts. Sighing as he entered his home he moved to where he had a map of Fincayra open and waited for his niece to wake. It was indeed that time of year again and he would have to go into human territory in order to see if there was anything new. Perhaps he could win the help of the prophesized ones though he was not sure how he felt about working alongside outsiders. Torn between making a decision to meet them and see if he can trust them or to send an ambassador in his place he sat on chair made of ivory like material and sighed as he leaned his head against the inside of the tree that was home to his home his crown of raven hair spreading against its warm tan interior as his sharp blue eyes gazed into the distance. Though he was king of his people he led a very humble lifestyle living in the largest tree in the area but a very simply furnished one none the less. The tree resembled the homes of a much ancient race that had once lived in Fincayra one that had the pointed ears of Fincayran humans but the grace and the power as well as the love for nature as that of the deer people.
Muse of Xevis > | < Defender of Trearlonis > | < Elder of Gostrenac > | < Daughter of Eshoza
"The Druma has been restless of late," said a young man who appeared to be talking to a tree. The leaves of the tree rustled over his head as if in response. Rhoden closed his eyes and listened to the sound. "The time of Prophecy approaches again." He sighed heavily and said, "The trouble of living in an in-between world. Our lives are dictated by prophecy and destiny and fate."
He made a fist and placed it on the trunk of the tree, stretching his other arm wide as though to incircle it, but it would have taken four of him to make a complete circle around this tree mother. "Arbassa," he whispered softly into the bark of the tree that had not opened since the last time a Prophecy had left her to sleep silently. The leaves rustled again and Rhoden said, "I would. And never return. If I could go to a place where a man may make his own destiny, I would leave Fincayra and never return and I would not be sad for it."
Again the leaves rustled and Rhoden stepped back from the tree, lookine devastated. "The heroes must return home when the defeat Rhita Gawr, if they are able. I think... I think I would ask to go with them."
The branches above his head creaked, almost in warning.
"I don't care. I would take the risk. Even if I could never shift again, I would... I would gladly be rid of this curse of living two lives."
He placed his hand against the bark again and said, "I would only miss you, Arbassa. Only you."
He turned away from the great tree and walked further into the Druma. "I must go to the shore. If I never see you again, mamau coelden, know that I loved you the most."
Arbassa's leaves rustled one last time, but this time Rhoden could hear words whispered to him on the wind.
"Bydd y coed wedi colli'u dail erbyn hynny."
Rhoden looked at Arbassa with tears in his eyes and said, "I know. And I'm sorry."
Without another word, he turned and ran into the forest, shifting easily into a white deer as he left the tree mother.
OOC: If you're curious, the phrase is Welsh. It means, "The trees will have lost their leaves by then." Welsh is such a gross-sounding language, but it's beautiful in print. Mamau coelden is also Welsh and is basically "tree mother".

Georgie stood up and walked down the stairs from the yacht deck, and began to walk down the corridoor to her room, she walked in just as she heard a thunder clap and she went to sit on her bed, she lay down and tried to sleep, attempting to ignore the big bangs from upstairs, and did her usual reflex and pulled the duvet over her head, trembeling a little, How much longer Dawn? She called through the intercom on the wall

Tonight we are young. So lets set the world on fire---------------- ----------------------------Belle-Marie. Hufflepuff. Fifth Year.
Other people may have been treating this vacation as if it was an excuse to relax, but Izze was ready to amp up her game. She was completely oblivious to the gathering clouds as she swayed her curved hips and twisted her body to the pop-infused beats that pulsed through the deck. One hand was clutching to a mystery liquid in a plastic cup, and the other was flirtatiously running through her multicolored dred locks, brushing past her doll-like face, and resting on her collar bone. Every so often she would let out a shrill giggle, an almost forceful noise; and while it wasn’t displeasing, her laughter held the sound of tiny bells, it was incessant. It was quite obvious that Izze needed to be medicated with something, anything, as she pranced and spun past the boys, the ruffles on her tiny, skull and grenade adorned bikini flouncing. She moved with an air that screamed I’m quite confident that you’re going to die from a heart attack from me. he. he.
When her brother called out to all of her fellow teenagers on deck that the party had to stop, Izze let out a humph, pressing her lips, colored navy with lipstick, together in that familiar, full pout. Parties don’t stop. Not with Isabella Violetta Gratis there. They could be having a freaking hurricane and she would still be mulling over playlists, boys, and drinks. AND she was just getting her hip-thrust on. No, no. Brother dearest would just have to drive around the storm.
The nineteen year old slipped into where her brother was diving and gave him her signature What-the-hell-do-you-think-you’re-doing expression. She often reserved this expression for him when he brought over a girl that bored her to tears, or wasn’t good enough for him (most weren’t), or if she ever caught wind that he may have been studying for an exam. Sometimes she didn’t understand him at all. Did he not comprehend that there were six teenagers on board who wanted to get their party on? Oh, Dawn. She stood in front of him, acrylic nails digging into the skin of her slim hip, and attempted to incinerate him with her alarmingly bright blue eyes. “We have to go down because of a silly little rain storm?” She whined. “I was just about to drag you out to party with us.”
ooc: Angel, would just normal Fincyaran humans know about the prophecy/be waiting for them? Let me know via text or msn and I'll edit this post with Fay.

Cos was at the edge of the deck, with a just about polished off glass of firewhiskey in his hand as he gazed toward the oncoming clouds. Pressing his lips together tightly, he wondered if it was heading their way. And if it would produce… a hazard.
Voice of logic in his head, he shrugged. Probably not, wind wasn’t blowing toward them. And, storms in the ocean rarely ventured off course. So, yeah, they would be fine.
BIG SIGH OF RELIEF.
Smile back on his face, which looked older than it truly was due to anxiety, he gulped the rest of his drink and hopped down to where Izze was, and where the music was blasting. “Let’s make another drink, yeh?” Sounded like a brilliant idea to him. Until Dawn brought on the bad news.
He was wise, and Cos really didn’t have any sort of authority to discredit him. Although Cos was smart, Dawn was probably a bit more clever. And storms, especially in the middle of the ocean, were dangerous. Cos, for one, was getting the hell off the top deck.
“C’mon Izz, we’ll bring the music and drinks down.” His voice sounded nervous, his friends usually knew it all too well. “Tatiana, let’s get it movin’.” Grabbing the bottle of firewhiskey he opened the door that led them under, waiting for the girls to go ahead.
Emerging from her nomadic tent made out of leaves, branches, and other makeshift materials, Cata’s blue eyes quickly dialated to the morning sun. Her innocent blue eyes scanned the area, and as soon as she processed that there was no imminent danger, a huge smile broke out across her face. “WHY. What a lovely day,” she mused, raising her hands into the air for a stretch.
Blonde locks flying every which way, she pressed her lips together. “Why. I wonder where Stan has gone off to THIS time?” She often talked to herself like this. Living alone with her brother in the Fincayran woodland brought such behavior about.
OH. Yes, how could she forget. Cupping a hand over her mouth in a girly, innocent giggle, she sighed. “He went to the villege for a few days, didn’t he Basil?” Her naïve eyes flew to her pet rabbit, and it nodded back wisely. He was a quiet one, but a great asset all the same.
Taking out her lethal boy and arrow like it was a toy, she began to skip off into the distance. “Come on now Basil! Let’s find us some breakfast!” And with that, the rabbit skipped after her.
Both, quite unaware, of who and what they might run into.

OoC: Full Name: Aurelia Imogene Adhemar
Nicknames: Most call her Imogene or the nickname from that… Mina. Call her Aurelia and she won’t be particularly pleased, call her any random cutesy name or name coming from Imogene and she may kill you. Really, family is the only one who can get away with such things (her mother refuses to call her anything other than Aurelia).
Age: 19
Race: Fincayran Human
DoB: February 12
Family/History: Imogene has grown up in a very large family with little money to spare, particularly after the death of her father. She has nine younger siblings and one older brother and ever since the “hunting accident,” only one parent to deal with the 11 kids. Well, actually ten kids. Ruben (age 22) left the house and has not been seen for about three years, though they know that he is still alive and well because he does his part for his family in sending money when he can. With still so many children running around and with her mother not making enough to support them properly, Imogene works at the town’s pub as a sort of bar tender. It has been awful for her, putting her in threatening positions, being taken advantage of in a number of ways… But she puts up with it for her family. It pays well enough and it does have its enjoyable aspects.
While Imogene is not like the rest of her family, the Adhemars as a whole are known around town for their kind hospitality. With two extra rooms and four others where the rest of the family sleeps, people will often say that is the home to go for a place to stay. They will take anyone (or anyone who can handle a “zoo house”—noisy, chaotic…), including the deer people. The family as a whole is ‘friend to the deer people’. That, however, does not include Imogene, but she will do as her mother says and show them to their room. She just may give some attitude. Her mother notoriously warns/apologizes on her daughter’s behalf. Mrs. Adhemar believes that Imogene thinks far too much and loves far too little. The girl loves to think and values education, which the family does not, so she has taught herself to read and is attempting to teach herself to write, but finds it much more challenging than learned reading. The friends she has gained either have her same passion or they have somehow wiggled their way in by proof of loyalty.
Family (in case you care to know the large number of names):
Mother: Sophronia Adhemar
Father: Roland Adhemar (deceased—by “hunting accident,” though Imogene believes it to be more along the lines of murder, whether due to self defense or not)
Brothers: Ruben (age 22), William (13), Elric (10), Clinton (8), Rylan (3)
Sisters: Charlotte (15), Annalyse (12), Merry (7), Noelle (5), Quorraline (3)
Personality: The Imogene that “outsiders” see is quite different from the Imogene that family and close friends see. Well, everyone else sees her top layer... She is fairly well known around town, in part because of where she works, but also due to her family. They stand out in some ways as a family and she stands out among her family (as the one with little compassion). To most, she is not known to be friendly, for her opinionated attitude and even appearance says everything to the contrary. In almost everything that she does she exudes great confidence and pride. Her patience runs dry quickly and she has a bit of a temper, though for the sake of her siblings, that she has learned to tone down until the very end. With her opinions, she is quick to be bold/blunt, judge, and criticize others. This covers that cynical, bitter side of Imogene, but in all reality she is just broken, causing her to feel the need for a “stay away from me” mask. Her esteem tends to be very low, but she does not like appearing weak in any way, while she does not believe in true love, she is compassionate and loving to those who land on the up side of her judgmental wall (or merely break though it), and she is a fiercely loyal friend even though friendship doesn’t come easily to her. She is not brilliant by any means, but she has a love for education and learning and, surprisingly, wishes above all else to one day teach.
As a warning, watch out. The girl has been manipulated enough times to know how to manipulate.
Likes: Reading, archery, family, the quiet and SILENCE where it can be found
Dislikes: Deer people, greed, the thoughtless and oblivious, pregnancy (she is completely disgusted by it), and surprisingly… children ← She loves her siblings to death even though half the time she wants to kill them, but she can’t stand anyone else’s kids and she tends to be awkward with them.
Appearance→
Complexion: Ivory
Height: 5’7”
Build: Breakable, tiny frame with curves and very little tone
Hair: Straight, long, and chocolate brown
Eyes: Such a dark brown they’re practically black
Overall: Her strong facial bone structure, full lips with their natural frown, and dark, slanted eyes give Imogene a harsh appearance, though many would have to admit that there is also a small look of innocence there as well. She has a small nose that fits well with her similarly small oval face and the usual Fincayran pointed ears. Imogene’s chocolate brown hair is not very thick, but is naturally pretty straight and falls to the small of her back. She wears it a myriad of different ways, but typically it is down or half up, half down. Her eyes are usually full of judgment or interest while she listens to conversations around her with a slightly quirked brow and the corners of her mouth are rarely pointed up in a smile while in public (unless of course she is being manipulative).
As for her style of dress, when she’s out in public Imogene is almost always in simple dresses made by her own and/or her mother’s hands.
Picture:
BiC: This was the second time in the week that Ambrosette had had a good dream about her family. It never escalated to the nightmares that she once had nightly. But she didn’t like to dream about them. She didn’t like to remember… While part of her still missed it all, it felt safer and easier to move on with her new life; her life with her uncle. It had already been a little bit over a year and she felt like it was time to move on. She was stuck.
Her mother laughed that light laugh of hers at a joke her father told as he picked Ember up and spun her around in their old living room. The joy in her own eyes mimicked what she saw in the eyes of her parents. Her mom’s hair was still long and dark and her brilliant blue eyes (almost identical to Emrys’) bright, so unlike the last day of her life. “Amber,” her father began to say, but before she could hear the rest of his statement, she opened her eyes; not at all startled or afraid… Odd. Her eyes went directly to the roof of the tree’s interior, staring with those caramel brown orbs and trying her best to get rid of the thoughts about them all. With a small sigh, she rolled over, hugging the doll Sapphira had made her years ago, then stood for some breakfast with her uncle. She didn’t bother getting dressed just yet, as usual. Really, the only time she did was when she was not hungry, which tended to worry him at times.
Placing her doll on a wooden chair by her door, she stepped out without closing it behind her. Her focus went dully to her uncle. He looked very focused on something… “What’s wrong Uncle Emrys?” She asked in a soft voice, coming to his side.
This was the time. Another year of hope, which she could only wish was not false once again. The time also meant a less fortunate feeling due to the unpleasant fact that the deer people, or perhaps one specific deer person, would be showing up on their side. They avoided discussion until it was absolutely necessary and if this was the year everyone had been waiting for… it was absolutely necessary.
Amara had yet to dress, though she had been up for hours. The obnoxious, yet exciting feeling of anticipation tended to keep her up each year. Taking her eyes away from her bedchamber’s window she moved with a light sigh to pick out a dress for the day. Her attention landed quickly on one of her long white satin dresses—it was, after all, a bit too hot outside for velvet. And her mother always used to tell her father: ‘white is a hopeful and pure colour.’ Or at least, that’s what she had always been told was said. Slipping it on, she studied the tight middle and touched the satin where it went loose a little below her waistline. As she looked in the mirror, she decided she was far too impatient to have someone come in to do something with her hair and walked out with her head of curls as they were. She very much just wished to go on a walk outside unless, of course, Alaina managed to find her first. It was almost always welcomed conversation with this friend, lady’s maid and “personal advisor” because royalty was a rather friendless and lonesome job. She truly hated the silence.
OoC: Annnd I'll post for Imogene soon xD
Jon was happily relaxing on the deck, enjoying the cool breeze he could feel upon his skin. The sound of the ocean was like wonderful and calming music and as he closed his eyes, he could feel himself starting to drift off into a light sleep.
He woke with a start when he heard Dawn's announcement, completely not expecting to be woken up, he felt as though his heart had leaped into his mouth. He looked around with wide eyes, trying to gather his thoughts and remember just where he was. Once he'd rejoined the present, he listened to what Dawn was saying and gave a small sigh. It was such a shame, it was much nicer up there than bellow deck. But safety came first.
With a small shrug of his shoulders, Jon got up and made his way bellow deck. He didn't like being cooped up down there, but he had to be good and do as he was told.
Flopping down onto his bed too quickly, he banged his head on the wall and cursed to himself. He'd always done that at Hogwarts too, you'd think he'd have learned by now.
Rubbing the back of his head with one hand, trying to soothe the throbbing, he decided to take out a book to keep him self occupied. He reached into his bag for one that he was half-way through reading, then leaned back against his pillows and continued from where he'd left off.
