Melanie wasn't one to be late for stuff. She disliked being late... most of the time. Her mother apparated her right outside and she smiled at her mother. "Thanks mommy," Melanie told her mom who nodded her head, gave her a hug and then popped away. Right. She wanted to twirl her hair around her finger, but stopped. She couldn't drop the present boxes. When she breathed out she could see little clouds of white. Yup, it was definitely winter. Sadly, she wouldn't be in New Jersey this break but it didn't matter, right? Melanie took the few steps needed to get to the doorway. The Gryffindor raised her hand and knocked on the door, not rocking back and forth in her shoes - because her shoes wouldn't allow of it. And she didn't feel like falling now either. She wasn't going to take her gloves off though, not until she was inside. She didn't care if Landon was afraid of teddy bears, her hands would get cold. |
James ran his fingers through his curly brown hair and stole a glance over at his cousin's best friend, Francesca. "Frankie, could you turn that down, please?" he asked politely, referring to the loud, obnoxious Japanese music blaring from her headphones. When she turned it down, the Italian teen knocked on the door of his friend's home, bouncing on his feet. He looked around to see who else was there. Francesca turned her music of and slung her headphones around her neck as she stuffed her hands into the pockets of spray paint-splattered gray skinny jeans. She bit her lip as she hummed a song to herself, earning another glare from James, who rolled his eyes. She watched the doorknob, waiting for it to turn and let her inside the house, much larger than what she had grown accustom to in Venice. |
The car ride to Landon’s had been an eventful one. Gran had insisted on driving, which was always a dangerous choice since she liked to sing at the top of her lungs while operating the vehicle. Somehow this always led to the car swerving into oncoming traffic at least once, causing Ella to fear for her life. She was far too young to die and even more, far too young to go deaf. And yes, Gran’s singing was that bad. Rich had insisted on discussing Ella’s choice in friends, going on and on about her having too many guy friends. The fourteen year old did her best to sit quietly and ignore all of this, focusing on the moment when she could jump out of the car. Thank goodness she was going to a party, she’d need some major fun after this. When they arrived,Ella leaned forward and kissed her father, then Gran on their cheeks. She then told them not to worry and slammed the door behind her. Thank Merlin! She could finally relax. The small blonde bounced up to the door, gift bag in hand. She was excited and a bit nervous, though she didn’t know where the nerves were coming from. Knocking on the door, she bounced a bit on her heels, taking in the outside of the place. |
Daphne Hughes was at the front of the house, fixing her hair in the mirror when she heard a couple of knocks at the door. Alright, it was game time. She had to make the best impression, for the both of them; Landon and herself. Because really, Landon was the worst at making first impressions. And this time, she had no idea who was who, so she had to be the best-looking as well. Especially to see Landon's hot guy friends. :eyebrows: "LANDONNNN, EVERYONE'S COMING NOW." She yelled, then cleared her throat. Here it goes. ... She opened up the door and saw... ____________________ Landon Hughes sat in the chill room, listening to some music when he heard Daphne start yelling at him. He rolled his eyes and fixed his fedora on his head. Right when he was about to take a nap, someone had to disturb him. Although he didn't mind it too much since this was his party. Heh. "OKAY." He yelled, walking up the stairs into the kitchen. He laughed as he saw his cousin, Andrew, eating the chips. "Save them for the party, dude." He said, taking the bowl away and putting it on the opposite table. He took one of the oreos out of the special table it was set upon and threw it into his mouth as he went back downstairs into the game room. He put some Katy Perry music on in the background and took a seat upon the huge couch as he waited. ____________________ Andrew Paxson rolled his eyes as he heard his two cousins yelling at each other. Typical Hughes family. He laughed as Landon took the chips away and ran off with an oreo. That wasn't a surprise. He walked out into the living room and saw that some of the decorations weren't hung up right. Landon. >_< "Daphne, I'm going to fix the decorations, just let people in and stuff." ____________________ SPOILER!!: Melanie Daphne opened the door, with a big smile upon her face, and waved at the new person in front of her. She shivered a little as the cold air came through, but decided to stick it out. "Hi, I'm Daphne, Landon's sister! Come on in, I'm sure you don't want to be stuck out here in the cold." She said, shivering again. Yes, because it was nice and cozy in the house. "You can set the presents on the table in the living room, Andrew will be in there trying to hang up the decorations that Landon made a mess out of." She giggled. SPOILER!!: James&Francesca Daphne heard another knock at the door and opened it, seeing two people standing in front of her. She blushed once she saw the curly-haired boy though. He was cuuuuute. Hehehe. She waved towards the girl and wondered if they were dating. Hopefully not. Heh. "H-hi, I'm Daphne! If you're here for the party, come on in!" She smiled, trying not to make a fool out of herself in front of the guy. SPOILER!!: Ella Daphne heard a slam that sounded like a car door outside of the house. Probably another person. She opened the door just as she heard the knock at the door and saw a girl in front of her. "Hello!" She said, smiling. "Come on in! I'm Daphne by the way." She closed the door behind the girl and led the way into the living room. "Just put the present there on that table and Landon will be in the game room downstairs." She said, pointing to the stairs to the right of them. |

Because she had missed the name if the girl had said it. Which Melanie hoped she hadn't because it meant that Melanie hadn't heard it... and that wasn't good. "I'm Melanie," she added, walking inside and looking around the place. She immediately took in a deep breath. Oh. It was so nice here. It was all so sleek... and nice. She let out the breath she hadn't known she was holding in and slipped her earmuffs off and left them hanging around her neck. mmm... the inside of her earmuffs were so soft. Right. She was supposed to leave the presents somewhere... living room. She smiled at the blonde. "Oh, alright," the girl nodded, before setting off towards the living room... wherever that was. It certainly was nice around here though. Melanie walked slowly and carefully to avoid tripping and falling face first, still holding the presents in her hands and blowing her hair out of face. Spotting a table, she just set the presents on it. Hopefully that was the table the blonde had been talking about. |
Alice was going to be on time because it was Landon's Not-So-Late birthday. And you had to be on time for Not-So-Late birthdays. It was just.. right. Ethical. And the teeny tiny girl was very right. And ethical. At least, she was going to be today. So when her Gramps apparated to the front of Landon's house, the first thing that the lioness did was yank his arm off of his wheelchair rest. She wanted to check his watch and make sure that she had made it in the nick of time. "Thaaaaanks, Gramps," she said, beaming, as she gave the old man a peck on the cheek. After he apparated away, the small blonde turned back to the door. My. This door was too tall for the four feet and nine inches of Alice. If there was a knocker, she couldn't see one, so she just knocked on the door as loudly as she could. "DONNIE. Daffy Duck! SOMEONE. Open up, pleaaaase. It's COLD out here." The little girl shivered at pulled her peacoat around her small form as tightly as possible. She wrapped her arms tightly around Landon's gift basket, which contained plenty of oreos, some hairspray, a quality comb, and a teddy bear. It was all secured with a very pretty bow. Yes, Alice didn't give a care that Landon was afraid of teddy bears. It was a very pretty bear. He would be honoured. And so, out in the cold she stood, waiting for Landon or his sister or their weird uncle man to open up the door before she turned into an ice cube. |
SPOILER!!: Daphne Ella eyed the blonde girl who opened the door with a curious smile, wondering who she was. Probably Landon’s sister, yeah? “Hi!” She greeted in response, stepping into the house. “Daphne, it’s nice to meet you! I’m Ella…or Ells. Whichever is fine.” Grin. “This house is amazing…” Really, it was. The blonde followed Daphne into the living room, her eyes traveling from the girl to the table she was currently talking about. “Right…thanks.” And she placed her gift bag down gently, not wanting to crush the Oreos. They were precious cargo, right? “Downstairs…” She repeated before eyeing the staircase. “Great, thanks. I’ll head down, then.” And she did. …Party time? |

When the girl - Daphne - looked at him, James swore his heart fluttered. When Frankie took hold of his hand, he shook her off, scrunching his face up. He hated when Frankie tried to chase girls away from him. "Damn overprotective friends" he muttered, hoping no one heard. He smiled and extended his hand as Frankie walked inside. "The name's Baron. James Baron" he added a wink at the end. |
WE'RE HEREEEEEE! *bounces around* "Bye Dad!" he called, waving at a man in a car. The man smiled, waved and drove off. The young boy of fourteen let his hand drop, a small smile spread across his face. Alec turned around and blinked at the estate. This place... it was HUGE! Much bigger than his home! And look at the decorations! It looked really awesome, actually. And maybe, inside, the place would look very Landon-ish. Full of Oreos and hair products and Oreos and... and... Oreos. You know, if he actually lived here. ... He did, right? OH WAIT. He was getting snow in his hair! The Hufflepuff readjusted his grip on his bag, dug his hands into his pockets and hurried up towards the front door. He shook his head and then flipped his hair, trying to get rid of any excess snow/water/ice/nastythingsthat'llruinhisprecioushair. There. AWESOME. Alec raised a hand and knocked on the door three times, a grin slowly spreading across his face. |
Ryan Myles could not believe his father had refused to drive him. Maybe he knew that Ryan hated his mother's slow driving, how it drove him mad sometimes. Nevertheless, here he was, strapped in his mum's Ford, being driven to Landon's birthday party. He was quite excited since Andrew's place was huge and was keen to meet Daphne, as well. Cough. At long last, Mrs. Myles stopped in front of the Paxon estate and turned to her son. He gave her a look but tried not to look too ungrateful--she had given him a ride, after all (however long it might have taken). Ryan unbuckled his seat-belt and hopped out of the car, dusting off his outfit. "Thanks, mum. I'll call you when I'm ready to leave." And with that, she was off. He made his way slowly to the front door, being careful not to disturb the grass. He didn't want Andrew yelling at him for ruining his yard. Clutching the bag that held Landon's presents (an oreo pie that his mother had made, as well as a Katy Perry poster), Ryan rang the doorbell. It was so loud that he could hear it vibrating twenty seconds later. And then he waited for someone to open the door, checking his hair in the reflection of the glass door. |
"Yeah, mum! I'll make sure to call you if I stay over!" Christopher Stylinson headed up the walkway, trying hard not to turn back around and glare at his mother. He was sixteen, not six! He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and saw that he was running a few minutes late. OF COURSE. It wasn't his fault though. Danielle and Charlotte kept insisting on tagging along in the car, which meant Mason would come and they all took the LONGEST time to get ready! Next time he'd have to make sure to have his mum leave them at home. Reaching the front door, he was about to knock when he realized he didn't have anything in his hands. "OH MY GOSH I FORGOT THE GIFTS!!!" He quickly turned around and was about to run to see how far his mum had gotten when he saw her sitting there with a sly smirk on her face. Ignoring the words coming out of her mouth, he rolled his eyes, picked up the gift, kissed her and his siblings on the cheek, and headed back to the door. He knocked lightly, not wanting to disturb the fun going on inside but after standing outside for three WHOLE minutes, he knocked even harder and yelled. "HEEEY I'M OUT HERE! THE PARTY DON'T START TILL I WALK IN, GUYS!!" Seriously, how long did it take for the party boy to answer a doooor??? |
SPOILER!!: Melanie Daphne smiled and her jaw dropped as she said she was Melanie. "Melanie Sung! I know you! I mean...about you. Landon has said a lot about you." She nodded, waving as she watched the girl walk into the living room. She turned back towards the door to let another person in. Andrew was hanging up the rest of the decorations when he heard footsteps into the living room. He turned around and smiled at the girl. "Sorry about the horrible decorations, Landon decided not to put them up right. Lazy teenager." He chuckled, taping an end of the banner up. "But yeah, if you go down those stairs there, Landon will be down there...probably eating oreos." He said, pointing to the stairs to the right of Melanie. He turned, focusing his attention to the other end of the banner. SPOILER!!: Alice Daphne opened the door to another knock and some muffled screams. Woah, Landon had some freakish and impatient friends. She smiled as she recognized who it was. "Alice!" She squealed, giving her a hug. Oh right, it was freezing out. "Come on in!" She said, closing the door behind her. "I'll be right down, but if you go in some more there will be a table in the living room; just put your presents there. Then there's some stairs to the right of the table and Landon will be down there." She nodded, hurrying as she heard another knock at the door. Ugh. How many people did Landon invite? SPOILER!!: Ella Daphne beamed at the older girl. "It's nice to meet you too, Ella!" She smiled. She was nice. Maybe this was going to be another one of Landon's girlfriends. Hehehe. She watched as the girl went downstairs and she waved, answering the door once again. Ugh. Landon was singing along to the Katy Perry song when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs. Oh no. Hopefully no one heard him. He stood up and was greeted with one of his Hufflepuff friends. "Ella!" He yelled, walking over to her and giving her a hug. "Thanks for coming!" He grinned. Would it be wrong to say she was pretty? Hmm, he'll save that for later probably. SPOILER!!: Francesca Daphne eyed the girl as she went back to her music like her greeting was nothing. Psh, her greeting was awesome. She watched as the girl held James' hand and she sighed. Yeah they were dating. "Nice to meet you, Francesca! You have a pretty name." She nodded, stepping back to let them in. "Follow me and I'll show you where to go." She said with a fake smile. Something wasn't right about this girl. SPOILER!!: James Daphne blushed underneath James' stare and looked away. But smiled as he pushed Francesca's hand away. So they weren't dating? Okay, now she was just confused. She heard him mutter something but couldn't tell what it was. Ugh, she hated when people did that. "You even act like James Bond." She winked back, shaking his hand, and then stepping away for them to go inside. SPOILER!!: Alec Daphne raced back to the front door and opened it, seeing a boy with his hair that seemed a bit messed up. Would it be bad to tell him that she liked it? Hehehe. "Hi, I'm Daphne. Landon's sister." She said, blushing. "U-um, you can come on in, it's freezing out here." She moved out of the way to let the boy in, closing the door behind them. "If you walk in there," She pointed forwards to the living room, "there will be a table to put the present on and there will be stairs to the right of it that will bring you to my weirdo of a brother, Landon." Ugh, another knocking at the door. SPOILER!!: Ryan Daphne looked up at the ceiling as she heard the doorbell go off. That was the first time anyone had used it tonight. Though, the music was terribly annoying. "ANDREW, WHY DO YOU HAVE SUCH AN OBNOXIOUS DOORBELL?" She yelled, shaking her head. She laughed as she heard him yell 'because' and ignored the rest of the tune of the doorbell. Ugh. She opened up the door and was met with a very good-looking boy. "H-hi. I'm Daphne. If you're here for the party, come on in." She blushed, stepping aside for the boy to come in. SPOILER!!: Chris Alright this had to be the last person, but then again...she was sure there had to be two more people coming or maybe four more. Ugh, Landon annoyed her sometimes with that. >_< She went into the living room to help Andrew finish the decorations, when she heard yelling from outside the door. Yeah, she would definitely have to mark Landon's friends with the terms freakish and impatient. She opened the door, a bit bored with the whole closing and opening doors thing tonight, and smiled at the boy. "I'm so sorry, I was busy. I'm Daphne by the way, come on in!" She said, moving aside once again. Yeah, he was pretty cute too. Hehehe. |

James glared at Francesca, and finally snatched the music player from Francesca's hands and stuffed it into his back pocket. He then looked at Daphne. At her comment about acting like James Bond, he chuckled. "People always tell me that, you know" he grinned. He walked in after Francesca. "I'm really sorry about her. She's honestly not normally like this" he said, biting his lip. |

She looked at the older guy there. Oh. He was probably there supervising... and decorating. Melanie giggled and smiled at him. "Sounds just like Landon," Melanie said, staring at the banners. The decorations weren't exactly horrible... they just weren't put up just yet. She smiled and nodded her head. Landon was downstairs... eating oreos. Okay. Stairs... stairs... stairs... OH. THERE. Melanie grabbed onto the banister, taking shaky steps down the stairs. She felt quite like a dinosaur stomping down on little people as she walked down. She winced at how loud her footsteps were. "Helloooo?" Melanie called out, still taking careful steps. No falling down the stairs for this Melon. Nope. Oh, should she take her gloves off too? Nawwwh. She left them on. It was warm and fuzzy. |
Minnie was really excited to go to Landons party and see loads of her friends and meet new people. This was gonna be great, they would have so much fun.Well, she hoped they would. Of course they would. All the people there were amazing and so funny. Standing in front of the door holding Landon's present she looked down on herself. Hopefully she picked the right outfit, not too underdressed and not too overdressed. How terrible would that be. Or maybe she was just worrying too much. If everything went wrong she would just spend time with Chris, he was amazing. Taking one last deep breath the girl rang the door bell and waited for someone to answer the door.Eep. |
and anyone else who comes downstairs :) SPOILER!!: Daphne and Landon! Ella thought Daphne seemed like quite a nice girl. She smiled at her as she responded that it was nice to meet her as well. D'aww. And she was polite, too? That was always a good thing. Ella liked nice polite people. Much better than the mean annoying kind. Ella's eyebrows raised as she heard the singing. The LOUD singing. She giggled, even more so when the singing stopped quite abruptly. Heh. The third year GRINNED at the birthday boy, waving excitedly as he greeted her. "HEY! ...Really nice voice, by the way." Yup, she'd totally heard you, Landon. Smirk. She met the boy halfway and returned his hug, a small smile on her face. "I wouldn't miss it. Happy belated, by the way! This house is...well it's really amazing!" Really, it was. SPOILER!!: Melanie the Clumsier! Just then Ella heard more footsteps coming down the stairs and she wondered who it might be. Truthfully she was really excited to see some of her friends and to meet new ones. Meeting new people was the best. Oh! And she recognized the voice that belonged to those LOUD footsteps! It was Melanie! BEAM. "Hiii Melanie the Clumsierrr!" She called back excitedly. |
Daphne and Melanie and anyone else :3 Quote:
As she glided down the stairs, Queen Alice scouted the room for any familiar faces. After setting her gift basket down on the table, she hopped around the room, trying to find Landon. THERE. There he was. "DONNIE. Happy Birthdaaaay," she beamed at him, choosing a seat in his lap. "You're old now. You're going to get wrinkles soon, you know." Yes. She needed to point that out, ever so kindly. Heh. "You should find some anti-aging cream, and stat." Wow. That would have been a wonderful gift for the now ancient boy. Pity she hadn't thought of it before. AND. There was Melanie. And Ella! "PRINCESS MELON. ELLASAURUS," she called, waving her arms wildly while trying not to hit Landon in the face with her windmill hands. What a rebellious daughter she was. Alice approved. |
Ella, Landon, Alice and anyone who comes downstairs~ >w< SPOILER!!: Ella the Clumsy <3 and Queen Alice ♥ Melanie continued to Ah. Someone called her. And she knew that voice. Finally reaching the last step, Melanie grinned. "Ella the Clumsy!" Melanie greeted, with a giant smile waving both hands as she saw her. "Hello!" Ah, it was nice down here too. Very nice. Melanie quite liked it. And there was... Queen Alice. The smile on her face couldn't get any larger. Giggling, she waved hello to Queen Alice and the queen's throne. "Happy Belated Birthday, Pobby!" She continued to wave before noticing her gloves. Right. She stuffed her hands into the pocket of her coat. She wasn't taking them off. They were warm and fuzzy. And Melanie definitely liked warm and fuzzy. "Queen Alice," she greeted with a slight curtsy. That was how you were supposed to greet the queen right? Of course. "You have a very nice home, Landon," Melanie added. Because manners were necessary. And Melanie had manners. Her mommy had taught her them. Now... did she just take a seat... anywhere? Melanie sunk into a seat next to |
SPOILER!!: Francesca Daphne smiled back after Francesca did. Maybe she was one of those people who seemed mean at first but were actually really nice. Maybe. Though, she went back to her music like she didn't care so Daphne just ignored it. She might've just been bored or something. SPOILER!!: James Daphne smiled a little as James took away Francesca's iPod. He didn't have to but Daphne was sort of happy he did. "Oh really? Well you're certainly cuter than James Bond." She winked, watching as they walked in. She shook her head and waved his next comment off. "Don't worry about it." She smiled, then pointing to the stairs. "Well Landon will be down there and I'll join you two later." She said, looking from Francesca to James, then blushing. SPOILER!!: Minnie Daphne Hughes opened the door, hoping it would be the last time of the night, when she saw Minnie at the door. "Minnie!" She yelled, giving her a hug. Okay, so she hadn't actually met her in person before, but they had talked and she seemed nice then. She looked pretty too. "Come on in, I'll show you where you have to go!" She said, stepping aside and letting the other blonde come through. Landon's going to freak out, Daphne already knew it. SPOILER!!: Ella Landon waved as Ella came down and blushed as she said that he had a nice voice. "Dangit. I didn't know anyone was coming down just yet." He said, running a hand through his almost non-moving hair. Oh well, at least it was just Ella. He had performed in the park though, but for some reason it bothered him when people heard him when he wasn't actually performing. "Thanks and happy holidays to you!" He grinned, then nodding, "Yeah, Andrew spent a lot of money on this place." It was ridiculous, but he had obvious reasons too. SPOILER!!: Melanie&Alice Landon heard Alice's voice as she came down the stairs and before he knew it she was sitting on his lap. Instead of thanking her for the present he sat there dumbfounded as she went on about how he was old and he put a hand to his face, to check if he actually did have wrinkles. Nope, none. "Hello to you too, Alice." He laughed, shaking his head. As Melanie came down the stairs, Alice started to let her arms go crazy and he backed his head away, trying not to get hurt. "Watch it, Munchkin!" He yelled, wanting to push her off, but he wouldn't. "Hey Melon!" He said, waving around Alice's figure. "Thanks, Andrew liked big homes so he bought this one!" He said, trying to look at Melanie, but due to Alice's constant moving, he couldn't see her. Luckily, his best friend sat right next to him and he sighed. Good, now he could actually talk to her. So...where was everyone else? |

James blinked, then blushed a deep red. "T-thanks..." he mumbled, scuffing his foot. He looked at the stares, then at Daphne, and winked. "I'm looking forward to seeing your gorgeous face again" he flirted. His confidence had extensively grown. |

Flipping his hair as only he could, he stepped inside as the girl let him in. Her stuttering only emboldened him. "Hey, Daphne. I'm Ryan." Cue another grin. As he extended his hand for her to shake (being a gentleman always gave good first impressions), his eyes roved Daphne's face and then the hall they were standing in. Clearly, Andrew was swimming in galleons. He whistled loudly as he turned back to the blonde. "Awesome place. And awesome decorations," He added. Just then, he realized who else was in the hallway with him--none other than his one and only Boo Bear. "CHRISTOPHER STYLINSON!" Ryan said loudly. He glanced at his best mate's red pants, (heavy glancing on his behind, cough) and then grinned. "Love the outfit, mate." |
SPOILER!!: Oreo Ninja Ella grinned, noting the blush on the birthday boy's face. "Well if it makes you feel any better, you really did sound good...Much better than I do when I sing." BEAM. Ella sounded more like a dying chipmunk or something, not that it ever stopped her. She watched as he ran his hands through his hair and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Sheesh. And Ella though Alec used lots of hair products. That do was like...stuck in place. Hmm...Maybe Ella would pick Landon's brain about hair care later on. Yeah! That would be good. "You're welcome." Grin. "Yeah! And Happy Holidays to you as well! I love Christmas." But who didn't, right? Christmas was lovely! She nodded her head, looking around the room with wide green eyes. "Yeah...I can tell. It's really neat, though. Great place for a party." SPOILER!!: My Hulk! Ella giggled as she watched Alice make quite the entrance. Leave it to her Hulk to come in with such...gusto. She returned the enthusiastic greeting with a wide smile and a wave. "Hey Hulk!" BEAM. "How's it going?" The third year cupped her hand over her mouth to cover the laughing she was doing as Alice flailed her arms wildly, nearly taking Landon out in the process. Heh. This was going to be a lot of fun. SPOILER!!: Melanie the Clumsierrr Plopping down on the nearest empty seat, Ella smoothed out her dress and BEAMED at Melanie the Clumsier, her eyes traveling from the girl's hair to her shoes. WOW. And those were some serious shoes. "Hey! How are you?" Excited, probably. Parties tended to have that effect on people. "Your shoes look awesome...and dangerous." Nod. Nod. Nod. "I really like them!" |
SPOILER!!: Landon & Ella ♥ Melanie giggled as she watched Landon and Alice. The two were definitely much like brother and sister... even though they weren't. Smiling, Melanie tucked her hair behind her ear and slipped her mittens off. She didn't need Landon freaking out over the bears on it. She stuffed it into her bag and twirled her hair around her finger, tugging on the blonde before letting go. Nope. She was not going to think about her hair. She looked at Ella and smiled. "I'm very good, how are you?" she asked. Melanie had loved her break so far; it was wonderful to just be back with family and all that after being at Hogwarts for a few months. Glancing down at her shoes, Melanie laughed. "Shhhhh...." Melanie said, holding a finger up. "They're my cousin's and I'm borrowing them... kinda..." Well... she had kinda... "borrowed" them from her cousin's suitcase. Without... her... cousin's permission. But her cousin didn't know and what her cousin didn't know wouldn't kill her right? "You look really nice," Melanie said. Because she really liked Ella's dress. It was pretty. "Pobby, Queen Alice, you guys look nice too," Melanie added quickly. Just so... y'know... no one would get offended. Now... "So..." Melanie started, her voice trailing off as she looked around the place, "what is there to do at your party, Mister Hughes?" Melanie asked. Because sitting here was nice and all... but it would be nice to do something too. Wasn't that what people did at parties? Do things? At her parties with her family all they did was usually sit around and sing karaoke which was fun. |
After this post, just have everyone's charries be in the circle to play the game. :3 SPOILER!!: Replies Daphne walked downstairs after getting everyone settled and blushed at all the guys who were here. She was definitely okay with this. Hehe. She took a seat on the floor and waited for Landon to give instructions on what they were all going to do. Landon watched as Daphne walked down the stairs to join them with all the other guests who came. Right. So they probably should get to the first game. "EVERYONE!" He yelled, "Sit down in a circle; we're going to play truth or dare." He smirked. This was going to be good. He took a seat next to Daphne, waiting for the others to join. |

Francesca liked this place a lot. She sat down next to James, who was watching Landon's sister, Daphne. But it was Landon himself that Francesca was interested in. James had written to her about Landon, and now Francesca was lucky enough to meet him in person. |
SPOILER!!: Landon Ella smiled, shaking her head. "That's nice but you've never heard me." Giggle. And he should trust her, she was no good. She continued to smile as he patted her head, eyebrows raised a bit. The gesture reminded her of Edric and she couldn't help but smile thinking about the older boy. "Welcome." BEAM. SPOILER!!: Melanie "That's good, I'm good as well." Nod. And excited. Parties always put Ella in a bouncy mood, even more so than usual. The blonde raised an eyebrow when her clumsy-sister hushed her, revealing that she'd kinda sorta The blonde smiled and turned a bit pink when Melanie complimented how she looked. "I...thanks. So do you...everyone does." Really, it was quite an attractive group of people! O___O WaitWHAT? Truth or dare? Ella bit her lip, suddenly feeling quite nervous. The truth part didn't scare her so much as Ella always told the truth. It was the dare part that freaked her out. And plus, she wasn't sure how Harvey would feel about all this. She was just a bit uncomfortable about the whole thing. Plopping down on the ground, the blonde smiled nervously and played with her hands. Right. This was going to be great. |

New Scene. :3 { Scene 2 :: Chris Visits Landon} |
Getting out of the taxi, Chris paid the driver and stared up at the massive house. Although Landon didn't really know the reason he was there, Chris knew that today would change the way his best friend saw him. He took in a deep breath and walked up the steps leading to Andrew's/Landon's house. Before ringing the door bell, he went over the speech he had planned on giving, making sure he knew exactly how to get Landon to be okay with it. After about five minutes, he lifted his finger and rang the doorbell and waited. |
Quote:
Landon Hughes watched as his aunt was racing towards the door and he remembered that Chris was supposed to come today. "Noooooo!" He called out, getting up from the couch and running towards the door. He watched as Stacie got there first and he lightly pushed her out of the way and opened it, seeing Chris. "Hey, man!" He grinned. Stacie glared at her nephew who had her hiding behind the door as he talked to his friend. She placed her hand over his face and moved him out of the way, as she said hello to his friend. "Hello dollface. You must be Chris." She smiled. "I'm Stacie, Landon's aunt." She held out her hand for him to shake. Landon gave up from trying to move Stacie out of the way. And even though she was short, she was really strong. She was his aunt after all and he was not getting in trouble. Especially if he wanted those cinnamon rolls. So instead, he just made silly faces as he stood behind her, while she talked to Chris. |

"Um...I don't know. Why?" She said, tilting her head to the side. Landon quietly laughed as he continued to make silly faces behind his aunt's back. He turned around as Chris started telling a joke and he started to laugh hysterically. Okay. He couldn't take this any longer. He walked back to the door and put an arm around Stacie, moving her to the side as he grabbed Chris by the arm and pulled him in. "This was getting ridiculous." He said, with a huge smile. "And you thought something was on your face." He laughed, pointing to Stacie. |

"Right...so...let's get down to business...to defeat....the HUNS!" Now Chris was really done. |

Landon let go of Chris' arm as he reached the kitchen. "Yeah, yeah. Best joke ever, whatever." He shook his head, grabbing one of the cinnamon rolls. "Though really, the best joke was when you were going mad over my aunt." He laughed. He eyed his friend at the whole 'defeat the huns' thing and shook his head once more. "I sometimes wonder about you, man, and then I don't, because you've got some crazy thoughts." He said, lightly punching his shoulder. The fifteen-year-old picked up the plate of cinnamon rolls and walked into the living room, taking a seat on the couch. "Help yourself by the way." He nodded, towards the plate. "So what's up? You looked sort of worried when I opened the door." |

Laughing and making his way over to the couch, Christopher plopped down next to Landon and reached over for a cinnamon roll but decided against it. He figured his mouth and mind couldn't be busy if he wanted to get all of the words out right. "Oh yeah....well........um........" He just sort of sat there staring at Landon as he ate the pastry and looked for the right words to start off. So much for preparing a speech. "Okay, so....I wanted to talk to you....about....erm..............this person." That was a good start right? Not too specific so he doesn't get mad or weird too soon. "She's a girl, actually, that person, I mean. And....you know her.....and......stuff.....so yeah.............BUT try to keep an open mind to what I'm gonna tell you, yeah?" This was going to be the worst talk ever. He could feel it, but Ryan and Dr. Starr both told him it was time to tell Landon what was up so he was only following orders. No bid deal, right? |

He waited for Chris to take a cinnamon roll and when he didn't, Landon shrugged and placed the plate on the table. He wasn't going to question it. Maybe the guy just wasn't hungry. Now if it was Tag or himself...yeah he'd question it. When Chris started to seem all tense, Landon tilted his head and turned towards him on the couch as he listened. It had to be important if Chris was really hesitant on all of this. As he listened though, his thoughts immediately went to Melanie and Minnie. Did Chris like one of them? Both of the them? Is he dating one of them? Are they hurt? He immediately shook those thoughts off as Chris continued and Landon nodded when Chris finished. "I mean-yeah, I'll keep an open mind. Just...what are you talking about?" He said, setting the cinnamon roll down onto the plate. He couldn't eat and think at the same time. That just couldn't happen right now. |

He listened to the rest of what he had to say and he felt like his heart just dropped to his stomach. If it was so important to tell him, he had to know this girl really personally. And Chris was in love with her? Oh no. "Who-who is it, Chris? Tell me who it is." He said, in a bit of a demanding tone. He had to know now. He was worried. Extremely worried. And wait....wasn't Chris dating someone already? But he didn't know her personally....oh no. |

Only a minute or so had passed of silence but it felt like an entire century. Chris didn't want to say her name and then decide he didn't really mean it. He still had Tiffany to worry and care about. And he really did care about her buuut he just didn't feel the same way for her as he did this other girl. He went through everything in his head one more time and realized that he had made the final decision back in Australia before Landon had ever even asked her out. But it didn't matter as much back then as it did now! They had been separated for a few months and never got back together and Chris had been her rock when she needed someone most and she was his BEST friend after all of the boys. This was serious. This was so serious. And he'd already said all of the other words, he just needed that one word that was 6 letters long and 2 syllables. Fast and easy and then he could get it over with and wait for Landon to punch him like he had punched Ryan for saying he kissed Daphne. Yeah. Surely a punch wouldn't be too bad, right? He'd probably feel a sharp pain and then his face would go numb and then he'd look really ugly for a bit buuuut Landon would be over it by then. He was almost sure of it. Not really sure how many minutes had passed now, Chris looked Landon right in the eye and said it. "Minnie." |
Landon heard Chris mumble someone's name but he couldn't hear it and this was just getting frustrating. "What did you say?" He asked, putting a hand behind his ear to hear. Ugh, he felt like an old grandpa. He then watched as Chris slid down to the edge of the couch and he raised his eyebrow. Was he really afraid of him? Then again, he had punched Ryan that one time he confessed to kissing Daphne, but hopefully this was different. HOPEFULLY. Or else he would go crazy. . . . Landon was getting flustered now as he waited for Chris to finally say this girl's name. It had to either be Melanie or Minnie. It just had to be. Those were the two girls who they both knew personally. Or Daphne, but if it was Daphne, Chris wouldn't even be here. He'd probably be smarter than that. . . . It was almost like slow motion when Chris finally said it. The girl's name. Landon watched Chris open his mouth but the girl's name wasn't coming to his ears just right at first. Miiiiiiinnnnnnniiiiiiiieeeeeee. Miiiiiinnnnniiiiieeee. Miiinnniiiieeee. MINNIE. He sat there, blank faced, as he stared at Chris. He didn't know what he was feeling right now. So many mixed emotions were going through him. Minnie was his ex-girlfriend...but he didn't want to break up with her at that time that he did and now his best friend was IN LOVE with her? He stuttered trying to say something and then shook his head, thinking that it wasn't the best choice. It was true though that he had his sights set on someone else at the moment but having Chris liking Minnie was not something he was ready for. He still had feelings for the girl and what if they actually got together? He would have to seem them at school together all the time...kissing and what not. The boy shivered and looked down, trying to get his thoughts straight. But...Chris was his best friend and he knew that Chris would be loyal to Minnie. But still, he still liked her and....and... . . . The fifteen-year-old looked up at his best friend and nodded. "Okay." |
Christopher sat, ready to flee if necessary, wondering what in the world was going on inside of Landon's head. He would understand if he never wanted to talk to him again. Landon had asked him when he had first started talking to Minnie if it was okay with Chris...and he had lied and said it was okay. That was his own fault. And he also knew that his friend wasn't entirely over Minnie because, really, how could anyone get over her? But he had said what he needed to say and was ready for Landon's response. Finally, he saw the word leave his mouth before it actually reached his ears and Chris's eyes went wide. Never once did he imagine Landon would just say 'okay'. As many times as he had gone over this day in his head, he always figured his friend would get mad and yell or just....leave the room or something but being okay with it was just weird. "I..." Now he was confused. "Does that mean....that....I can......I don't know, mate. What does 'okay' mean?" Chris hadn't actually thought through what would happen once he admitted his feelings for Minnie. He would have to break up with Tiffany because it wasn't fair to her and then...he wasn't sure what. "I don't know that I'll do anything but...you're saying that you'd be okay if I did?" Chris found that too hard to believe. |
Quote:
"But yeah. If you do date her I'm okay with it....just...don't hurt her okay?" Landon asked looking up at Chris with a semi-sad face. |

After a few quiet seconds he asked, "So are you going to tell her then?" |

What if she didn't though? What if how he felt mattered? Nodding his final answer, Chris said, "Yeah. I'm going to tell her." And if all went well, maybe he would ask her out or something? ...but maybe asking her out first would be the better idea... |

"Well...uh, good luck I guess." He simply nodded, feeling a bit awkward. "Give me a minute." He said, standing up from the couch and walking into the chill room. He closed the door and then started to scream, trying to get out everything that he could before he went to talk to Chris again. After a minute, he calmed himself and opened the door back up, walking over to the couch and taking a seat. "Sorry, I had to...turn the video game off and it's a lot of...killing and stuff." He said, horribly lying. |

Then, hearing Landon's lie, which was somehow actually worse than Chris's, he was sure that now would be the best time to get up and leave. Laughing nervously, he nodded his head a little too fast and smiled wide. "Yeah, man, totally get it." Chris quickly got up from the couch and shrugged his shoulders at his best friend. "Alright then, mate. I've, uh, got to head out? I'll...see you soon then?" He took a step forward, about to give him an infamous bro-hug but stopped himself and gave him a small smile. "Yeah. Okay. Tell your aunt I said bye?" He gave Landon and small smile and waved. "Bye." Chris causally made his way to the front door and let himself out, hoping the taxi would get there as soon as possible so he wouldn't have to witness anymore screaming he had probably caused. |
Quote:
A couple seconds later his question was answered. "Thanks for telling me, Chris." He nodded. It was like Chris was about to give him a bro-hug but then he decided against it. Landon furrowed his brows in frustration and shook his head. Oh right, say goodbye to Aunt Stacie. "Yeah, sure, no problem." He said, waving. Right as Chris left, Landon threw himself on the couch and buried his head in one of the pillows as he didn't know what to do. |
