I came up with this idea and I hope people join in. Basically what it is is mainly made ups, although people might want to double up as Harry, Ron, Hermione and co later.
The RP opens in their fourth year (so everyone who's in the same year is 14/15) at Durmstrang Academny. This RP runs as GoF through Durmstrang students eyes. Later on in the RP, those playing Durmstrang students will be going to Hogwarts for the Tournament and so it goes from there.
We can have a different outcome for GoF or the same, we could have the same Durmstrang champion, or we can have a different one. It's really up to you lot. If someone wants to play Krum, they can, but it isn't essential to the RP. Preferably made-ups please.
I will be playing as Voldemort's daughter, Marcella, who in my scheme of things, spends her time at Durmstrang from years 1 to 4 and then when Dumbledore is reminded of her in GoF, he decides to move her. But that is not relevant for this.
So all who want to join please express an interest and we'll go from there. Advanced RPers only, post minimum is one paragraphs preferably no shorter the 5/6 lines.

| He shrugged and stuck his hands into his pockets. "I spoke from a purely clinical and logical point of view, not necessarily out of... sympathy. It's a mode of punishment that could well lead to death if the situation isn't handled properly. At any rate, breakfast sounds like a good idea to me. It's even somewhat sunny out, so we could even eat outside."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "If you wish it," she sighed heavily, knowing she were fighting a losing battle and resigning to the fact that Nik would never come around to her way of seeing things. He was far too involved with Gavin to ever really see what he was really like.
Linking her arm with his, she led him away, muttering, "I just need to get away from them." |

Serves him right." Jesse nodded and pulled Al down to a nearby bench. "No one deserves to be in that icy water.. not even Gavin, and surely not Anna. Well.. maybe that whiner Riddle, but no one else. But you Al.. you came through so heroic like." Jesse put her palm on his chest. "You were great."
Jesse peeped back around the corner to where Anna and Gavin had just pulled their shaking bodies out of the water.." I wonder what they did..?" |

| Anna walked with Gavin to the nurse's quarters on the boat. "That... was almost as bad as actually getting caught in Karkaroff's bed. Actually, it was as bad. The past twenty-four hours have been pretty bad, collectively. And the sad part is. it's not over... he still hasn't owled our parents," She said to Gavin, while she was shivering madly. They were almost to the nurse's and Anna was doing everything she could to keep walking.

| "Lead the way." Nik grinned and tucked his and Marcella's linked arms closer to his body and followed her to where they would get breakfast.
As they walked, he thought about Marcella's disgruntled reaction to what he had said earlier. Was he too soft in judgment? Nik now knew that the punishment was for and he agreed that Gav and Anna had made major infractions of the rules. But was putting them in such a dangerous situation like that the answer?
Marcella seemed to believe that it was a just punishment - both for the accusations brought upon them by their headmaster and for the wrongs they had done to her - but the belief seemed to be strengthened by spite and a want for revenge rather than a sense of actual justice.
He recalled back to when he had been pushed into the water as a first year and how he had loathed the sixth years who had done that to him. There came a time or two later in the year when he could have exacted his revenge on his antagonists, but he had chosen not to.
One of the boys had gotten severely injured on a past-curfew sneak trip to the village and he had caught the boy returning to the dorms in the wee hours. He could have reported this to the headmaster and the boy surely would have gotten into enormous trouble for that, but instead, he had kept the secret and had helped the boy to the infirmary later that morning.
Was he too nice? Why hadn't he sought revenge? Was he not a vengeful person? Where did his sense of anger and outrage go?
Suddenly, he recalled his reaction to the jeering he had been subject to during the Dueling challenge a few weeks earlier because he had fainted and had been called weak. His blood had boiled and if his anger had been a volcano at the time, it would have erupted right then and there.
There was no doubt about it. He, Nikolai Andreu, certainly had his wrath, but the difference between him and most people was the fact that he rigorously controlled that wrath inside of him - quelled the beast of anger - and found it to be too much of a waste of energy and time to get angry and seek revenge... usually.
And if he did seek revenge... it was usually in a non-conventional way... "They won't be able to call me weak for much longer," his mind caroled silently and triumphantly.
He shivered involuntarily as a chill ran up his spine. Where had that thought come from?
"I think I'm hearing things. Either that or I'm really food-deprived." He muttered under his breath and shook his head.

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic He sneezed in response to Anna's statements and placed a hand on the doorknob to the nurse's quarters. "He should have let me drown. I don't want to know what my parents will do to me but, if this is what Karkaroff had done," he shook his head and opened the door. Before he could say anything, the nurse had ushered them both inside and begun treating them. More likely than not, Karkaroff had informed her to be ready for them prior to their ordeal. It wouldn't do him any good to have them die of hypothermia.

Afterall, that water is freezing cold, and Ormand has never been in trouble before. I..." He stopped, not wanting to give Jesse anything bad about Ormand to think about, but he plunged ahead recklessly. "I think you can draw SOME conclusions, though. Ormand didn't come in until much later last night... and they're being punished for the same crime." He left it to Jesse to draw conclusions.

He shivered involuntarily as a chill ran up his spine. Where had that thought come from?
"I think I'm hearing things. Either that or I'm really food-deprived." He muttered under his breath and shook his head. For some reason, as they walked, she seemed to get the impression that Nik was trying to understand where she was coming from. He could try all he liked, he'd never fully appreciate how bullied and manipulated she felt but the fact that he tried meant alot.
"Hearing things?" she asked, pushing the door open to the dinning hall, specifically so they could get something to eat and then maybe sit on the deck. "Maybe you're just thinking too much." she suggested as she grabbed an apple and croissant from a basket.
Pocketing a bottle of stilled water, she waited for Nik to get what he wanted, talking at him rather than to him.
"It's alright, you know, for you to not understand why I am the way I am. It's just, I seem to have 'bully me' written all over my face. Always have done. As slimy as Gavin can be, he's intuitive, he sees things other people don't see quite so easily. The way he uses me sometimes, plays on my emotions, it really frustrates me, especially when he leaves Anna to string me out to dry. It's so frustrating not being able to do anything about what other people think of me because they've already made up their minds without ever caring to stop and think whether what they think is right or wrong. And like Jesse back there, knocking Karkaroff into the water..." she said, perhaps a little too loudly, but nonetheless, she couldn't care if anyone overheard.
"Sure, it was funny. I dislike the man as much as the next student. But then she went and slyly accused me of doing it....'some student with black hair'. Yeah, right, only if she's gone and dyed hers. I just don't get it Nik. It's not as if I ever asked for any of this. All I wanted was to come to school some place far away from where people would persecute me but it seems no matter where I go people seem to deem it appropriate to kick me, even when I'm down. And now I sound like a sympathy hog, but I'm not. It's just.... I guess that's why I saw their punishment as some small form of compensation for all the suffering I've endured from them. Believe me, the pain I've been caused is alot colder than that water they were in. So, I guess you could say I feel I've had my revenge, but I really do think I deserve it." she groaned, squeezing her apple a little too hard, trails of its juice trickling onto her fingers making them sticky. She licked at them and turned away, thoroughly embarassed by her passionate outburst.
"Darn it Nik. You always do this to me. It's like you're a bloody key or something. I can't seem to keep anything hidden from you."

| Nik grabbed some water and a chocolate croissant and a pear from the fruit basket, all the while listening to Marcella talk. He nodded at certain moments, but otherwise kept rather quiet. After she was finished, he led them back outside and settled down on a bench on the far side of the deck with her.
"Not having to hide things... isn't that what friends are for?" The white-blond haired boy looked at her with a serious expression on his face graced with a smile.
"I'm sorry if it seems like I'm always analyzing things. I... like to understand what's going on because if I understand something, then I am less likely to react in a negative way or make wrong assumptions. Does that make any sense?"
He ate a bite of his croissant and sighed softly. "I know only too well what it feels like to be picked on and bullied for absolutely no reason. As you probably already guessed, I'm not the world's healthiest wizard and it has cost me dearly in ways most people could never understand because... how can you understand if you've never walked a mile in my shoes? According to a lot of people, I'm weak. I'm a pathetic weakling. To them, it doesn't matter how intelligent I am or how much effort I put into everything. They just see what they want to see and what they see is a boy who should be macho, strong, and competing for the attention of every pretty girl in school but is instead unable to go flying in bad weather, always getting sick, and is antisocial." His lips quirked in a mixture of disgust and amusement. "For the longest time, the boys at school sought every way to make my life miserable and the girls avoided me like the plague. After a while, I got used to it and turned the other cheek and really did become antisocial and didn't care about them. A few years later... here I am. But yeah, it was pretty terrible sometimes."
His voice was calm as he spoke, but the cool detachment couldn't overshadow the darker hooded expression on his face. "When I boarded this ship to Durmstrang for the first time as a first year, I got pushed overboard by some sixth years. We had an early cold snap that year and the water was a complete shock on my system. It took me less than ten minutes to come down with hypothermia because of my bad health and even going to the Nurse's office right away couldn't stop me from catching pneumonia and going into hypothermic shock."
He shook his head with a hollow laugh. "I'll never forget that sensation of my lungs feeling like blocks of ice and trying to draw oxygen. I'll never forget the laughter on the deck. I'll never forget how I thought I would die because my mind was becoming more and more numb with each passing minute."
His hazel eyes flickered and he shuddered. "There are few things scarier than actually feeling your brain becoming sluggish and shutting down. At any rate," his eyes locked on Marcella's. "It's hard for me to see someone else stuck in that wretched water without remembering how... dangerous it can be. Punishment is punishment, but..." He shrugged a little.
He was silent for a moment before he continued. "Honestly, sometimes I wonder if I'm too nice. It isn't that I don't get mad or angry or feel enraged. It's just that I feel that it's usually a waste of my time and energy to allow myself to react to it and act on it." He gave a wry smile. "I use enough energy to begin with... It's not like I can really afford to expend any more."
His eyes warmed a bit and he shook his head and looked up at the sky. "You know... I never expected myself to tell you all that. I had a feeling we would get along, but I never really expected to be able to say all this."
He dropped his gaze so that it was resting on her and he gave her a warm smile. "I guess that makes us even, huh?"

He dropped his gaze so that it was resting on her and he gave her a warm smile. "I guess that makes us even, huh?" "You do make some vague sort of sense," she smiled, sitting on the bench next to him, opening her bottle and taking small sips from it as he spoke, nodding at various points, taking the bottle away from her lips to make small comments in between.
She felt a pang of guilt as he spoke of people calling him weak and looked ahead, speaking briefly rather nonchalantly, "I used to be one of those people. I'm sorry."
He seemed to take it all on his stride though and seemed to be talking about girls and bullies in a rather casual, conversational manner. She couldn't decide whether that was a reflection on who he was, or who he telling all this to, namely her.
"Competition sucks," she muttered. "You shouldn't have to try and be better than anyone else just to get a girl or someone to like you. Being yourself is what counts, that way if anyone does like you, be they male or female, you know it's you they like."
Hearing him talk about his experience, as a first year, she began to feel as if she should apologise for feeling the way she had done. He was bound to sympathise with Anna and Gavin, not only because they were his friends, but because in a twisted fate-like sort of way, he'd been there too.
As he looked into her eyes, she couldn't help but lift her hand to his shoulder, partly in understanding partly in apology. "Not everyone reacts the same to things. Besides, they're your friends, you were bound to show concern even if you hadn't been through what you've been through. It's just extremely hard for me to find any sort of compassion for them, in my heart, when they don't any toward me. And I don't think for one minute that me taking the initiative to show some, would persuade them to show me some."
She smiled, "I suppose that does make us equal. Though arguably extremely weird also, but who cares?" She took a bite into her apple and placed the bottle on the floor, upright. |

| OOC: I'll be away for the weekend, so if you need to move along in the plot/story, please feel free to bring Nik along. I don't want to slow things down any by my absence. Nik's hand rested over Marcella's that was resting against his shoulder and he squeezed lightly. "You're right. Not everyone reacts the same way to things and competition does suck because it makes people do stupid things and really... the only person one should compete with is oneself."
He grinned widely at her agreement that they were equal, his hazel eyes taking on a deep sparkle. With a laugh, he echoed her comment. "Who cares."

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "Exactly," she replied, echoing his thoughts. Seeing both of them had finished with their fruit, she used her wand to banish the cores to one of the nearby bins and turned back to look at Nik, perhaps a little coyly. She noted not many people were round, presumably as it was breakfast time and the earlier display had probably caused the majority of people to want to scoot indoors, away from the fresh sea breeze, as quickly as possible. But she didn't mind it. The sea had calmed down rather surprisingly and the sun even seemed to be peeking through the patches of cloud that scattered the bluish sky. Feeling perhaps a little awkward, she looked to his shoulder where her hand still rested, where his rested on hers and lowered them together so the tips of her fingers were almost touching the wood of the bench. They hung limply together for a few seconds before she pulled away, a slightly disturbed look on her face, she remembered Jesse and Anna, the remembrance of them reminding her of what she'd be accused of, if they saw her.
OOC - I don't mind pausing for a bit. It's only two days anyhow and I'm going to be very busy this weekend too. Besides, I think the others will want to RP more now anyways |

| Anna shivered as the nurse bustled about, getting the two of them blankets and steaming mugs of cocoa. For some reason, Anna thought that the cocoa was not part of Karkaroff's message to the nurse. Thankfully, the Durmstrang nurse was much more kind than many of the other members of the staff at the school. She administered them both a dose of pepperup potion and told them they should rest in her quarters for the next few minutes.

| Technically technical all the time Bookaholic Gavin winced as the nurse washed his hands but, sighed in relief as she slathered them with some sort of disinfecting potion and finally wrapped them up in some soft bandages. Unfortunately, she didn't want to just heal the cuts as they would be prone to infection and needed to be cared for the slow way. He gratefully accepted the cocoa and leaned back in his bed, looking over at Anna. "At least she's being nice to us, though I'm not going to be able to do anything with these," he said, raising his cup which was pinced between his hands to show Anna his overly bandaged hands. "I can't even hold the cup right. How am I supposed to eat when I can't use my hands really for anything?"

| Nik leaned back and let his thoughts wander a bit. He thought about the upcoming tournament and wondered about the competition. As relaxed as he was, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of... something in the pit of his stomach. The unease he had been sensing ever since he had returned to Durmstrang for his fourth year was still there.
He was about to ask Marcella how she fared at Divination when he noticed thats he had moved her hand and he glanced at her and saw the expression on her face.
"You look like you just just swallowed a bug or something. What's wrong?"

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "You could say I had, in a way..." she said, dodging his eyesight rather obviously, her eyes scanning the surrounding area of the deck. She wasn't scared of them, that wasn't it. But she knew better than to let trouble walk right into her.
"Nothing's wrong I just feel a bit....exposed?" she ventured, trying not to sound too ridiculous. "Do you mind if we go back inside?" |

| "No, I don't mind at all." Nik stood up and shook out his robes and straightened them. "Maybe we can return to the galley where we were last night?"
With her eyes looking about, he guessed that she was feeling a bit uncomfortable about being seen. He wondered if she was uncomfortable to be seen around him or uncomfortable for other reasons. It seemed like a rude thing to ask about, so he just kept quiet. Now that they seemed to be able to talk with one another, he also figured that if she wanted to share, she'd share in her own time.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Marcella Riddle Graduated | Kaplinski Rival Sorting Hat Machine "That's exactly what I was thinking!" she gushed, pushing open one of the doors sternly, her eyes still glancing around as she shut it. She seemed extremely distracted. "It's not you," she said, straightening her robes, looking back toward him again. "It's me. I know, that's a classic line but it's true. It's me, I attract trouble. If one of the girls see me they'll think I'm trying to, you know, with you, or something. Which is rather ridiculous, not because it's you and not that I wouldn't want to or don't like you in that way, but because I've not you know. And one of the ones who accuses me of acting like that has and...Merlin I'm making no sense again."
Her eyes flickered upward apologetically, "I'm sorry." |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Zahra Kettleburn Graduated | Inside Kitty | HIT ENTER | UNO Queen "Perhaps I will," Jesse said curiously. "I'd rather hear from you though... if you know. And.. if you ask me, it sounds like you." Jesse leaned back on Al, and looked up at him with her head on his chest. "Please tell me?" Jesse asked as sweetly as she could. "I'd tell you!" |

| Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Alexander sighed and broke eye contact with her. He stared hard off at the ocean before answering, his eyes still on the horizon. "But if you told me, it wouldn't affect how I think about my best friend." He didn't mention that he really didn't have a best friend, because that was a given. "I don't know this for sure, but it seems to me that if Anna and Ormand are being punished together and we know that Ormand didn't come back to his bed last night, which means they probably were somewhere together. Doing something that displeased Karkaroff." He couldn't take that thought any farther; she'd have to connect the rest of the dots herself.

| "No sense in giving yourself more trouble if you know it's out there waiting for you, huh?" Nik nodded, fighting down something of a blush at her mention of liking him in that way. "People are hypocrites sometimes, unfortunately."
He was quiet for a moment and he snorted softly as a somewhat ridiculous idea hit him. "I wonder if any of that attitude you get from other people is partially due to their jealousy. And no need for apologies; you make plenty of sense." His eyes warmed a bit and he grinned.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Zahra Kettleburn Graduated | Inside Kitty | HIT ENTER | UNO Queen Jesse stared at Al, and noted the hint of him holding back. But she listened, and slowly put the pieces together.. "Oh.. you mean they.. OH!" Jesse blushed but giggled, "That would explain it!" and Jesse left it at that.. not wanting to make Al any more uncomfortable than he prob
Jesse reached over and pulled on Al's arms, pulling them around her. It was breezy, and quite chilly, but not only that Jesse still felt she owed Al for the night before. She wasn't sure how, but she'd repay him somehow. For now though, she pulled his arms tighter and snuggled up against him. |

| Made of Awesome | Ern-la the Best-wa | TZ's Apogee Alexander kept a loose hold of Jesse as he propped his chin on her head. "Karkaroff still hasn't put his hat on, as far as I know. I hope we get there soon... wouldn't that be a grand introduction to the Hogwarts wizards?" He placed a light kiss on her temple, barely more than a graze and wondered how he would ever manage to be enough for this wild girl.
